Lovely little village, secure off road parking lovely room and powerful shower. Staff were very accommodating and breakfast and bar food was spot on. The building and surroundings are kept very well and rooms were warm with fresh milk for teas and coffees provided along with coffee machine in room.

Lovely little pub hotel surrounded by peaceful villages & lush, green countryside. We were met by a wonderful lady who made us feel really welcome, made sure we had everything we needed & it certainly felt like a home from home. Comfortable, warm & friendly. Good food available in the pub restaurant & a delicious breakfast the next morning. Huge hugs all round as we left :) My children, little dog and I would absolutely stay here again!

Really lovely hotel, with a very attentive host. My room was very comfortable. The breakfast was very good and the food from the pub, linked to the hotel, was superb. I would love to return here, as the area looked great to explore.

This is a great little hotel with a pub attached with great food as well. We regularly stay here and have done for many years. The location is fabulous for walkers and countryside lovers. A must for cyclists.

Nice comfortable room and good breakfast, plus code-secured car park. However, access roads to the village are steep and narrow, and the food at the adjoining pub “restaurant” was less than inspiring.

Firstly I would say do not attempt to arrive at the hotel in the dark. The country lanes are unlit, full of potholes and for an American feel like a single lane sidewalk. The hotel has a secure gated car park at the rear which is not sign posted Our room was very clean, wonderfully warm which was appreciated as it was 32f outside. Breakfast was excellent, a sofa and tv area to have coffee, tables to have a choice of cereals, fruits, juices and hot food….GO FOR THE FRIED BREAKFAST IT WAS MASSIVE!

Hotel was a bit difficult to find in the dark but we had a lovely room and having the private car park in the back was a bonus as not sure we would have managed in such a popular place. Staff very friendly we were even shown to our room not just shoved a key in our hand and given room number. Breakfast was excellent and we were given a great choice

Super friendly and helpful staff and a nice clean room with comfy bed. The hotel is let down by the worn and dingy pale colored carpet leading to the bedrooms and the way that the cooked breakfast is presented. Tinned mushrooms and over salted watery scrambled eggs really have no business being served at any level, sorry.

We enjoyed our 2 night stay in a pretty village. Hotel room was very bright, comfortable beds with clean linen, bathroom was spotless. We had a friendly greeting at reception, the host was very welcoming and knowledgeable of the area, nothing was too much trouble.

We arrived about 6pm. We went through from the bar area to the hotel section and we’re very warmly greeted, given all the info and made to feel very welcome. The room was cosy and had good views out. The decor and particularly the bathroom needed a bit of TLC. It all worked but needed the odd bit of paint here and there and maybe new carpets in the halls. Breakfast was fantastic! Overall very good and great for the below average last minute price we paid. The location is stunning!

Some real highlights and some unfortunate low lights. Sunday to Tuesday the staff were great and very friendly. Couldn’t do enough for us and the breakfasts were superb. Sadly on the Tuesday evening the restaurant failed us in spectacular fashion. One course (they forgot the starters and took so long on dessert we told them to forget it) and that took over 2 hours. Our final morning saw different breakfast staff, and they really weren’t fussed or that bothered. A shame. But I must emphasise the first couple of nights were wonderful.

Firstly I would say do not attempt to arrive at the hotel in the dark. The country lanes are unlit, full of potholes and for an American feel like a single lane sidewalk. The hotel has a secure gated car park at the rear which is not sign posted Our room was very clean, wonderfully warm which was appreciated as it was 32f outside. Breakfast was excellent, a sofa and tv area to have coffee, tables to have a choice of cereals, fruits, juices and hot food….GO FOR THE FRIED BREAKFAST IT WAS MASSIVE!

A fabulous hidden gem! tucked away in a lovely quite village. Friendly staff and wonderfully comfortable accommodation. Breakfast was amazing. Will definitely stay again when I'm that way for work.

The room was lovely, the staff were so friendly and helpful. Food was great. A brilliant location. We had a fantastic stay. We will hopefully be back again.

We enjoyed our 2 night stay in a pretty village. Hotel room was very bright, comfortable beds with clean linen, bathroom was spotless. We had a friendly greeting at reception, the host was very welcoming and knowledgeable of the area, nothing was too much trouble.

We arrived about 6pm. We went through from the bar area to the hotel section and we’re very warmly greeted, given all the info and made to feel very welcome. The room was cosy and had good views out. The decor and particularly the bathroom needed a bit of TLC. It all worked but needed the odd bit of paint here and there and maybe new carpets in the halls. Breakfast was fantastic! Overall very good and great for the below average last minute price we paid. The location is stunning!

Hotel was a bit difficult to find in the dark but we had a lovely room and having the private car park in the back was a bonus as not sure we would have managed in such a popular place. Staff very friendly we were even shown to our room not just shoved a key in our hand and given room number. Breakfast was excellent and we were given a great choice

Lovely hotel and room was nice and so was breakfast, would not recommend eating at the restaurant next door, the food was very poor sadly. This is a big shame as it used to be run by Italians and was very good.

Some real highlights and some unfortunate low lights. Sunday to Tuesday the staff were great and very friendly. Couldn’t do enough for us and the breakfasts were superb. Sadly on the Tuesday evening the restaurant failed us in spectacular fashion. One course (they forgot the starters and took so long on dessert we told them to forget it) and that took over 2 hours. Our final morning saw different breakfast staff, and they really weren’t fussed or that bothered. A shame. But I must emphasise the first couple of nights were wonderful.

Clean, spacious and comfortable room. Friendly and helpful staff. Good food choices in the restaurant. Good, peaceful atmosphere. Free breakfast included, which was beautifully coked and presented. Overall a really good experience that we would happily recommend.

Super friendly and helpful staff and a nice clean room with comfy bed. The hotel is let down by the worn and dingy pale colored carpet leading to the bedrooms and the way that the cooked breakfast is presented. Tinned mushrooms and over salted watery scrambled eggs really have no business being served at any level, sorry.

Nice comfortable room and good breakfast, plus code-secured car park. However, access roads to the village are steep and narrow, and the food at the adjoining pub “restaurant” was less than inspiring.

Hurtwood Hotel from photos looks together but the actual establishment is tired and rooms need modernisation and bathroom needs refurbishment. Shower was on its last legs, shower hose old and damaged. Water didn't drain away, sink plug full of grease/hair buildup Bed was good and comfortable, took own orthopedic pillow! Older staff members and young ladies were very good, friendly and accommodating. Facilities tired and limited. No freshly brewed coffee offered despite machine in pub inside same building. Filter coffee was bitter and no hot frothy milk 😢. Definitely not the rating, needs modernisation and bathroom dated and rusty mirror shelf. Room has no plug sockets apart from plug adapter. Small fan wouldn't keep you cool and extremely noisy and very dusty. Wouldn't stay again. Better options on offer. Disappointing 😢. Breakfast Ok, limited options for non hot options. Tinned mushrooms not good, not fresh.

Rummet var rent och sängen var både stor och bekväm, vilket är ovanligt i Storbritannien. Personalen var vänlig och hjälpsam, frukosten var god och omgivningarna bjöd på vacker natur.
