Tolles Hotel, leider ist die Straße/ Umgebung nachts bei offenem Fenster sehr laut. Parken gegenüber im Parkhaus zu empfehlen (vorher online buchen, dann kann man Geld sparen), Hotel liegt nah am Bahnhof Haarlem - von dort sind es rund 15 Minuten zum Strand und ähnlich lang nach Amsterdam. Zu Fuß ist man schnell im Zentrum und hat alle Möglichkeiten.

The room was clean and spacious, the bed was comfortable and the staff was very friendly. The location is excellent for public transportation, right across from the train station, but you have to walk about 10 min to get to the city center. The dining/bar area was very nice and cozy and the bartender was amazing, super friendly and enthusiastic! We didn't try the food as we opted for dining out. The A/C didn't cool enough and there is no shower door/curtain so it was a challenge not to get all the bath floor wet when showering. Overall a very good experience.

This property is consistently wonderful. It is the full package. The staff are simply amazing, the rooms are great and i felt they offered a lot of storage space. I loved the cooler in each room, the bathroom is great, so it the water pressure. They offer breakfast and dinner in the gorgeous lounge downstairs and a full bar. You are in the square where the train station and buses are located which is incredibly convenient and there are many delicious restaurants within a few steps on either side of the building. I could see the steeple of St Bavo's from my room, and the beds are very comfortable. I can honestly say that this is the best hotel in Haarlem and i consider it my second home. The building itself has an amazing history all on its own. You are able to walk to several grocery stores, a Kruidvat, shops, a bicycle rental, and the square of the Grote Kerk in moments. It is also where Rick Steves stays when in town so that says quite a lot as well! Do yourself a favor and book your stay with them. It is a special experience

This was a lovely renovated hotel close to the Haarlem train station but with easy parking. We left the car there for a day trip into Amsterdam but LOVED the quieter beauty of Haarlem. The hotel is well-maintained and tastefully decorated. My only issue was our quadruple room was rather cramped and the bathroom is strangely designed (toilet in the shower?) with an odd smell. Possibly better as a single or couple traveling, not our family of 4.

On arrival to the hotel which was well situated I first used the public bathroom which was an absolute mess, this did worry me. They stored my luggage and let me check in around 230pm. The room was spotlessly clean and modern. The bed was uncomfortable though and would benefit from a new mattress. Breakfast was OK but feel it was not value for money though with hot items very limited. Overall I did enjoy my stay and would probably book again.

Spotlessly clean. The room was fantastic. Although had some hefalumps staying on my floor and must has left their rooms om average 72 times a night with their big feet and door slamming.

Everyone was amazing. Perfect location away from the busy but right next to the train. Nice staff and very friendly. Beautiful and spacious rooms, clean and comfortable. Highly recommend! Loved the stay!

The room was pretty outdated, except the bathroom. The carpet was pretty dirty all over the hotel. Wi-fi was horrific. I saw mice in the lounge area twice. I told the staff about the wi-fi and mice but they didn’t seem concerned or shocked and no one did anything. The location is amazing though, right next to the Haarlem station about 15 minutes away from Amsterdam.

Stayed here two nights, nine days apart (did a biking tour inbetween). First night staying here, I was put in a room upstairs. It was excellent. A bit small, but that is to be expected in the Netherlands. And quiet. Second night (nine days later), I was put on the main floor, in a family room (three beds). No reason given (I was just traveling by myself). This room was large, and would be well-suited for multiple people. As it was on the main floor, however, it was much louder (could hear people outside at all hours). This bed was also more used re: a bit of a sag in the middle. Staff as usual were friendly and helpful.

The room was small, but for one night it's okay. The bad was not the best one, but not the worst. Bathroom was great - lot of space, nice shower. But the main issue was the phonic isolation - i was able to understand the neighbours... At 23h30 it's not really nice. Breakfast was amazing, for the price, it's really great. People at the reception were always friendly and willing to help. Check in and out were fast. The hotel is really close to the train station and the bus station. City center is 15 minutes away on foot.

The location is good, right on the quiet and picturesque side of the train station plaza. It’s surprisingly quiet and relaxed there while just steps from all the busses and trains. You’re also around the corner from two parks and a short walk to central Haarlem. There are cafes and restaurants all along the 10 minute stroll. The front desk was accommodating and the breakfast is nice enough. My only complaint is that whether we had the window open or the A/C on lowest setting, the room was always hot and stuffy at night. The room was also tight, as most are in Europe.

Two of the front desk personnel were absolutely wonderful--pleasant, helpful, friendly. The tall, thin blondish lady at the front desk was consistently rude. The breakfast was mediocre and it was next to impossible to ever find any employee to help you, other than the consierge at the front desk. The room was small and cramped. It was not expensive, but I'd rather pay more and have a bit more room and a bit of service.

The place was clean and staff was very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the lounge area and the chance to relax. The place is very conveniently located near the train station and the main bus depot. Will definitely stay there again.

Great hotel and very central for train station and to all other amenities. Polite and helpful staff with excellent service. Room spotlessly clean with very comfortable bed and super quiet. Would definitely return and recommend!

Everyone was amazing. Perfect location away from the busy but right next to the train. Nice staff and very friendly. Beautiful and spacious rooms, clean and comfortable. Highly recommend! Loved the stay!

This property is consistently wonderful. It is the full package. The staff are simply amazing, the rooms are great and i felt they offered a lot of storage space. I loved the cooler in each room, the bathroom is great, so it the water pressure. They offer breakfast and dinner in the gorgeous lounge downstairs and a full bar. You are in the square where the train station and buses are located which is incredibly convenient and there are many delicious restaurants within a few steps on either side of the building. I could see the steeple of St Bavo's from my room, and the beds are very comfortable. I can honestly say that this is the best hotel in Haarlem and i consider it my second home. The building itself has an amazing history all on its own. You are able to walk to several grocery stores, a Kruidvat, shops, a bicycle rental, and the square of the Grote Kerk in moments. It is also where Rick Steves stays when in town so that says quite a lot as well! Do yourself a favor and book your stay with them. It is a special experience

On one evening, a lot of door banging and noise but only on one occasion and this was through no fault of the hotel, just guests being disrespectful. Excellent breakfast with lots of choice and well worth the 17euros per day. Hotel location was the very best. Across the road from both the train and bus station and a five minute walk from the centre for cafes, restaurants and shops.

This hotel was extremely convenient for access to trains, restaurants and other amenities. It was a warm spring day when we arrived and room was very warm. The A/C is average at best so needed to open the window at night as room was too warm. Had to wear ear plugs as it is noisy due to locals partying out in the square in front of the hotel, until late hours. Staff were friendly and accommodating. Recommend this hotel as a reasonable alternative to the busy Amsterdam.

The boutique hotel is conveniently located, within walking distance to shops, and a train station is nearby. The front of the hotel faces a square that does not allow for vehicles, only pedestrians and bicyclists. One would have to walk about 5 minutes to the back of the train station to catch an Uber or taxi ride, dragging luggage along the way. The hotel is a bit dated, but otherwise clean. The staff is friendly. Breakfast is adequate.

Convenient for the train station in Haarlem but if you are staying ask for a room high up and away from the street. I booked at short notice for one night because my flight was cancelled and ended up on the first floor overlooking the square which was very noisy. Had I been staying for more than one night I would have asked to move.

We loved our stay here with our kids, it was so easy to get to and from the airport and city centre, and we enjoyed walking around Haarlem too. The breakfast was amazing too.

On arrival to the hotel which was well situated I first used the public bathroom which was an absolute mess, this did worry me. They stored my luggage and let me check in around 230pm. The room was spotlessly clean and modern. The bed was uncomfortable though and would benefit from a new mattress. Breakfast was OK but feel it was not value for money though with hot items very limited. Overall I did enjoy my stay and would probably book again.

The room was nice, but the staff was not very helpful. We had e-mailed two months in advance to book parking but never heard back. At arrival we were told, that there was no available parking. Thus, we used a nearby slightly more expensive parking house. Later that day, however, another receptionist wanted to charge us for parking as we had reserved it(?). Also, we arrived at 15 (the communicated check in time), but were told that the room was not ready yet, and that they cannot guarantee that check in is possible at the communicated time. We stored our luggage and came back an hour later, where the room luckily was ready. All in all a not very pleasant check in experience, which would have been way better if a simple smile was available from the staff. However, they seemed quite irritated to be disturbed.

Lovely clean and comfortable hotel within walking distance of everything! Near the train station, which is helpful. Our only issue was with the air conditioning. No one told us that it is necessary to push a power button each time upon entering the room. We just assumed our room was hot because the building was old, so we were pretty uncomfortable. We didn't discover until we were leaving what the issue was with our a.c. It would have been a perfect stay had we been told the trick with the a.c. Excellent breakfast available.
