Room wasn't ready until about an hour after check in time. Staff were very nice and I don't believe it was their fault, I think they were understaffed. No towels in the pool area was probably the first time I experienced that in a hotel. We asked front desk and they couldn't help. The breakfast buffet had odd machines from what was expected (pancakes instead of waffles, juice machine that was surprisingly frustrating to operate) and the service staff were buzzing around cutting in front of guests and generally in the way when it wasn't even busy. They were nice but seemed like they felt like they needed to be rushing around. The experience would be better if they were more discreet and patient in performing their duties. No one seemed to care how our stay was and didn't ask. The cleaning ladies we met were so nice.

If you are going to close the pool from 4:00 PM to 7:30 PM on Mondays & Wednesdays for private swimming lesson through V V Aquatics, then let Expedia know and post it on your website. We picked this location due to the pool / water slide and my young son was heartbroken when we were not allowed to use the pool during our stay (he's 8yrs old so bedtime is early) while the private lessons were going on. No notice at the front desk - nothing to advise paying guests. Total sham!

We booked one night as a family staycation over Christmas and our daughter has always wanted to try the “hotel with the big slide that you can see from the highway”. The staff were friendly, check in was simple and the slide was a blast, but the pool was quite cold. We went to the pool in the evening and were warned by another guest that there were no pool towels and we had to use our room towels. On my way up to the room, I checked with the front desk and he confirmed there were no towels and if we used our room ones, we couldn’t get fresh ones until the next day. There were 2 elevators but only one working one. Breakfast would have been mediocre if the food would have been replenished in the trays, or when it was some things were I realize there was a hockey tournament so lots of people in the hotel, however that would not have been a surprise to management so they could have been more prepared for the amount of people booked in.

Great stay, the pool was a good size and the kids loved the waterslide. Only downfall of the hotel was one elevator was down so a lot of waiting for the elevator or going up and down to get where you’re going.

The hotel was okay and you get what you paid for however the swimming pool looks cloudy and a bit dirty, to be fair it was warm to swim in. I found under the bed a sticky trap for the bugs which was disgusting. The staffs are pleasant and attentive.

Heard scratching in the hotel room walls followed by a mouse running across the floor and going under sofa bed. Went to front desk to ask for another room, was provided a lower quality room that had not been cleaned, window opened, bedding had been used, toilet was full of toilet paper. Went back down to front desk and was provided another room - still lower quality than what had been booked and paid for. Was given a bottle of water for my inconvenience. Approached the front desk the next morning and Brock tye front desk agent was rude and dismissive. Told me I booked through Expedia so not his problem and nothing he could do. Refused to let me speak to manager.

Pool has rust, heavy wear and tear. Pool area furniture and cushions all stained. Room garbage left in the hallways (take-out containers, pizza boxes, trash cans, etc). Room cleaners constantly on their cell phones while garbage in hallways sit all morning.

The check in was where it started. Staff were rude when we checked in. Seemed annoyed for no reason. One card didn’t work so went back down to get it fixed and again didn’t seem happy to help. Called down once we were in our room and no one answered. No towels for the pool, asked for a few more at the desk and he seemed very annoyed I asked For more to only have 2 and not 3 that asked for. There were kids running in the halls till way past 11:30pm and no one came to tell them to stop. I know we weren’t the only ones that were disturbed by this as we heard others at checkout were making the same complaint. Pool was not very clean. The water was cloudy. A few positive things- my child loved the water slide. All in all the room was ok. Carpet were stained. Beds were clean and comfortable. The only reason I’m giving a 2 star is because the lady working the breakfast area refilling the stations was nice to me and the guy at the desk when checking out was nice. Breakfast was pretty good. Sadly disappointed with the stay for the money it cost to stay there and especially since we were locals and wanted to spend a night there for my child’s birthday to enjoy the waterslides. This hotel is excellent, From the time we checked in to the time we checked out. The guy and the beautiful lady ( that was training for a few hours that day) at the front desk ,that i didnt get their names were very courteous and friendly. The cleanliness of the property is great and is located in a convenient area with parks, stores, and restaurants nearby. Customer service was at times below average and at moments very poor. There were a couple of instances where we were questioned by staff for asking for extra towels or an extra blanket. Staff were reluctant to bring it and explained to us that we already have it in our room or that they had no extra blankets to give out. We were only given towels for 2-3 guests when we stated and paid for 4 guests, this did not seem to be relayed to house cleaning services and was a constant need for request on our 4 night stay- at times just dealing with limited towels. Next, staff members and a manager were seen being confrontational with another guest at the breakfast buffet, accusing them of going up too many times and telling them “they’ve had enough to eat”. I was very disappointed to see such distasteful customer service at this establishment. Many nearby guests were uncomfortable with the customer service displayed. The buffet was also not able to keep up with the capacity of guests and was constantly running out of hot food items at the same time (bacon, sausage, eggs). Lastly, the gym facilities could be improved as it has poor ventilation and stale odours.

The check in was where it started. Staff were rude when we checked in. Seemed annoyed for no reason. One card didn’t work so went back down to get it fixed and again didn’t seem happy to help. Called down once we were in our room and no one answered. No towels for the pool, asked for a few more at the desk and he seemed very annoyed I asked For more to only have 2 and not 3 that asked for. There were kids running in the halls till way past 11:30pm and no one came to tell them to stop. I know we weren’t the only ones that were disturbed by this as we heard others at checkout were making the same complaint. Pool was not very clean. The water was cloudy. A few positive things- my child loved the water slide. All in all the room was ok. Carpet were stained. Beds were clean and comfortable. The only reason I’m giving a 2 star is because the lady working the breakfast area refilling the stations was nice to me and the guy at the desk when checking out was nice. Breakfast was pretty good. Sadly disappointed with the stay for the money it cost to stay there and especially since we were locals and wanted to spend a night there for my child’s birthday to enjoy the waterslides. We found the location to be Pretty great, but due to the hotel being near a busy street and our room facing the busy road it was a bit loud. The elevator was creating a roaring sound most of the night. I personally wouldn't book here again!

Room wasn't ready until about an hour after check in time. Staff were very nice and I don't believe it was their fault, I think they were understaffed. No towels in the pool area was probably the first time I experienced that in a hotel. We asked front desk and they couldn't help. The breakfast buffet had odd machines from what was expected (pancakes instead of waffles, juice machine that was surprisingly frustrating to operate) and the service staff were buzzing around cutting in front of guests and generally in the way when it wasn't even busy. They were nice but seemed like they felt like they needed to be rushing around. The experience would be better if they were more discreet and patient in performing their duties. No one seemed to care how our stay was and didn't ask. The cleaning ladies we met were so nice.

This hotel provided a wonderful stay. They were even able to accomodate an early check in for us. The location is good as well, as there are several restaurants/stores just around the corner (in walking distance). It also has good highway access. The breakfast spread was quite good too. Overall, an excellent stay - thank you!

We booked one night as a family staycation over Christmas and our daughter has always wanted to try the “hotel with the big slide that you can see from the highway”. The staff were friendly, check in was simple and the slide was a blast, but the pool was quite cold. We went to the pool in the evening and were warned by another guest that there were no pool towels and we had to use our room towels. On my way up to the room, I checked with the front desk and he confirmed there were no towels and if we used our room ones, we couldn’t get fresh ones until the next day. There were 2 elevators but only one working one. Breakfast would have been mediocre if the food would have been replenished in the trays, or when it was some things were I realize there was a hockey tournament so lots of people in the hotel, however that would not have been a surprise to management so they could have been more prepared for the amount of people booked in.

After 12 years of choosing Holiday Inn Express as the safe and reliable choice, this was my last. We spent 5 days at this hotel, for the price of almost $300 a night, I was completely underwhelmed by the basic continental breakfast which was identical for 4 night out of 5. The dining room is tiny and usually full, there is an overflow room with no AC which is also pretty full most of the time. Only single elevator is functioning, and even that one shakes and ruthless as if its about to die any moment. Sometimes it was faster to climb 3 floors by stairs than to wait on the elevator. Our room carpet had stains and the room smelled like pile of stinky socks. The TV had a little printed cheat sheet for channel list but the guide on the TV didnt function, so you can never know what you can watch. And I was abit disgusted to flip channels as the remote buttons had dirt stuck in them. I would expect all that from a $100 a night motel on the side of the road.
