Situated immediately opposite the historic old bridge behind its own outdoor restaurant next to the Thai one. Plenty of restaurants and bars around. The parking concession is at P12. See the Heidelberg parking app for availability and location. Plenty of choice at breakfast.

We really enjoyed our stay at hotel zur alten Brücke. Very close to the old bridge and in the heart of everything. Nice property, friendly staff, restaurant on premises. Highly recommend!

Very nice structure, polite personnel, the room was comfortable and very clean, breakfast was also delicious. One big problem: there is no place outside the hotel to stop the car just for a while and unload the luggage (when we arrived it was raining really badly...). But there are two parkings not too far from the hotel, 5-10 minutes walk approximately.

Room was very nice and clean, stayed in the off-property building. Manager very nice. Great view of the river but it's on the corner of a very busy street so not very quiet. The parking garage that the hotel has a discount agreement with was full so had to pay 18 euros for overnight instead of 10.

Achtung :der bei der Buchung angegebene Parkplatz am Hotel war für Ortsunkundige schwer zu erreichen . deshalb habe ich in einem öffentlichen Parkhaus geparkt. Besser vorher genau erklären lassen wie man hinkommt. Das Hotel ist sehr schön und geschmackvoll renoviert, die Lage sensationell!

The suites here are very beautiful. I love the decor. Very clean. The best location (in my opinion) because it’s right by the bridge to access the hiking trails and right in the heart of the downtown area so you are close to the shops, and restaurants. I forgot to leave my review back in March when I went for my birthday - but I’m leaving one now, on the day I’m going back :) boutique hotel lovers will love this place.

My second time at this hotel. Same charm, lovely staff, very comfortable beds, super clean. I will come back when I go hiking in the fall. It’s so close to everything, if you are in town for shopping and dining you will love it, if you want to explore the hiking trails across the bridge - you will love it too. Thanks again for the wonderful sleep :)

Hôtel très bien situé dans la vieille ville avec accès à pied à de nombreux commerces et restaurants. Un peu bruyant le soir car la chambre donnait sur le patio et donc sur le restaurant. Très chaud dans la chambre . Très bon accueil et petit déjeuner excellent.

My room was upgraded to a suite overlooking the castle. Very clean and easy to deal with. If your driving park in P12 and hotel will give you a discount card for the meter. Fantastic location and a ton of shops and places to eat and drink in the walkable area.

Location is fantastic! Right at the base of the old bridge. Very walkable area. Hotel is very quaint and charming. The restaurant attached to the hotel serves very good traditional German food for dinner. Very lovely place. Staff are friendly and the beds were comfortable. Our room did not have a safe or a small fridge. Not sure if the others do. Internet was quite spotty. We were told that because we booked with Expedia, the breakfast was not included but we did not have that experience with two other hotels we booked on Expedia in Frankfurt and Nuremberg.

Hotel, staff and area were wonderful! Our bathroom was huge (unlike most European standards) the shower head was great! Only complaint was that the internet was really slow. Hotel needs to Consider MESH WiFi network.

Wonderful property. We had a huge Jr. Suite Room, very spacious with sitting area and large bathroom with shower and separate tub. Lots of windows and light in the room, with room darkening shades. Excellent location to castle and old town. Very quaint hotel, would highly recommend.

This has to be one of the worst hotel rooms I have ever stayed in. The room was completely airless and excessively hot. Although the photo of the room shows windows these only open to an internal corridor to access other rooms. The room, in summer, is not suitable for guests in my opinion, and should only be used as a sauna! At 1 am until 3am I had to sit outside to cool off. Beware I was told, on check out, that there are several rooms that are ‘landlocked’ and the receptionist confirmed this was not stated on the website!!!

This is a lovely hotel in a fantastic location, however there is a 'but' ! The owner / chef (I think) is quite rude and unhelpful, but the rest of the staff were very pleasant. If he is the chef, he should stay in the kitchen, because despite his poor social skills, he can cook. The food is very good. The rooms are lovely, however there is no A/C so you might need the windows open. The hotels fantastic location can then be a problem as it can be very lively and as such noisy. This isnt a criticism or complaint, just an observation as it might bother some people. Finally, despite the implication in their list of ammenities, there is no onsite parking of any sort. We were unfortunate in that we turned up on a holiday weekend and all the public car parks were full and we nneded to queue to get in as other cars left. Not the hotels fault but worthy of note. Finally tho' id reiterate the fantastic location, great rooms and good food in the restaurant.

This is a lovely hotel in a fantastic location, however there is a 'but' ! The owner / chef (I think) is quite rude and unhelpful, but the rest of the staff were very pleasant. If he is the chef, he should stay in the kitchen, because despite his poor social skills, he can cook. The food is very good. The rooms are lovely, however there is no A/C so you might need the windows open. The hotels fantastic location can then be a problem as it can be very lively and as such noisy. This isnt a criticism or complaint, just an observation as it might bother some people. Finally, despite the implication in their list of ammenities, there is no onsite parking of any sort. This hotel was amazing!!! It was so quaint and pleasing to the eye. It makes you feel like you are at home even though you are away. The staff makes you feel like you are visiting family! It was wonderful!!

I stayed at Hotel Zur Alten Brücke for just one night, and while the stay was short, the experience was unforgettable — thanks especially to Sebastian at the front desk. When I arrived, Sebastian kindly helped me with my luggage and even brought it up to my room, which I truly appreciated after a long day of travel. The hotel itself was charming, comfortable, and perfectly located in the heart of Heidelberg’s old town. When it was time to check out, Sebastian once again went above and beyond. He helped me with my heavy bags, walking with me over the cobblestone streets all the way to the Old Bridge (Alte Brücke) so I could catch a taxi from there. Later, after I had already left, I realized I had forgotten one of my bags. To my surprise and relief, Sebastian answered my call right away, helped me through every step, and personally arranged to have my bag shipped safely to me in the U.S. His kindness, professionalism, and genuine care turned what could have been a stressful situation into a truly positive and memorable experience. This hotel is a hidden gem located at the old bridge and gate. Great location making it easy to walk both sides of the river and access to the castle and all the charm of old tiwn Heidelberg. At night cross the bridge to the right to get stunning pictures of the bridge, city, and castle lite up.

Very comfortable room with tv, 2 armchairs and sofa and desk. Bathroom pristine clean with large bath and shower. Situated immediately opposite the historic old bridge behind its own outdoor restaurant next to the Thai one. Plenty of restaurants and bars around. The parking concession is at P12. See the Heidelberg parking app for availability and location. Plenty of choice at breakfast.

Hôtel très bien situé dans la vieille ville avec accès à pied à de nombreux commerces et restaurants. Un peu bruyant le soir car la chambre donnait sur le patio et donc sur le restaurant. Très chaud dans la chambre . Très bon accueil et petit déjeuner excellent.

Fast perfekt! Schönes, gemütliches Hotel. Frühstück wirklich TOP, Wirtshaus abends auch uneingeschränkt zu empfehlen. Personal herzlich und freundlich. Einzige Manko, dass man nichts aufs Zimmer schreiben kann was ich persönlich immer sehr schätze und lieber alles zusammen bezahle. Leider lief beim Frühstück irgendein Radiosender relativ laut was nahezu störend war. Hier eine playlist o.ä. und wäre perfekt. Komme sehr gerne wieder!

Heidelberg i sommerferien ville jeg klart holde mig fra. Alt for mange turister og svært at finde parkering. Hotellet ligger lige op af en af de allermest populære turist attraktioner (Alte Brucke) så man kunne nærmest ikke komme frem til hotellet med bagage. Jeg havde skrevet til hotellet inden ankomst vedr parkering, men fik aldrig svar og vi endte med at parkere 17 min gang fra hotellet og med 2 store kufferter og en cykel var det ikke optimalt. Tænker at stedet, hotellet og byen ville være bedre at besøge uden for de allermest populære ferieuger.

We had booked a room at the hotel, but upon arrival we were assigned a room in a separate building about 100 metres away. We had paid extra for a river view, but the only way to see the river was to lean out over the balcony. It was definitely not worth the extra money.
