Rosedale Hotel Hong Kong

The facility was a bit old but well managed. The gym was not so much excellent but still workable. The breakfast was also well prepared. General services were good.

Everything is good, except that the wait time for the elevator is too long.

The hotel was great. The only problem waa the gym which really needs newer equipment.

WiFi is not fast enough

The hotel boasts a convenient location; however, the rooms are somewhat compact. For tourists with a busy itinerary of daytime and evening excursions, this hotel is a suitable option. Nevertheless, significant elevator programming issues were observed. On several mornings, during periods of high occupancy, we experienced a 40-minute wait for elevator access.

Room is of good size in HK standard but it is relatively far from the subway. Not too bad though. The main complain is the internet. I have good reception. The bar is always full but the speed was horrible. Sometimes it is lower down to a halt. It does not even work in the restroom although the bar is full. Not sure why. They need to increase the bandwidth.

Due to the poor operation of three elevators just before check-out time, it took 25 minutes to get from my room to the reception on the first floor. Be careful when you check out.

The elevator wouldn't open and we were locked in there. Hotel didnt call fire department to rescued but called elevator company. Hotel manager avoided our questions and hung up on us many time while communicating on the elevator speaker phone. We were locked in the elevator for about 45 minutes. We had a terrible experience.

This hotel is really conveniently located and generally well appointed. The rooms do look tired and the free wifi was incredibly slow.

Hotel location is good. The lifts services are poor, most of the time only one lift is working.

The room was perfect with a lovely view. Nicely furnished and well maintained. House keeping did a great job and was courteous. Location was excellent being so convenient to trains and shops and we enjoyed a morning stroll through Victoria Park to the water.

Very dirty

I stayed for two nights. There was dirt on the bath towel and bath mat on the first day, and while worrying about it, I thought that the dirt could not be removed even if I washed it, so I used it. After use, I put it on the floor of the bathtub to have the bath towel and bath mat replaced, but the next day, when I spread the bath mat with dirt in the same place and the bath towel that was folded, this is also the towel I used yesterday ... it was wet. But it was disgusting. I don't want to stay again.

This I was really disappointed the service attitude and their after response. The room on top floor were terriblly small and the soundproofing were so bad you can almost join the whole conversation outside. I could see hairs on the pillows when I checked in the room. I will persuade others to make a reservation to this hotel.

Please pay attention if you are from EU, USA, or Canada! A 4 star hotel in Hong Kong is not the same as a 4 star hotel in Europe, north America! Event though this hotel is 4 star, it barely reaches a 2 star hotel in European standards. Why? - rooms very small and smelly. There was a weird smell in the room ( not a pleasant one, I must say) - cleaning standards were very low - noisy, not soundproof - breakfast with very limited options, always the same everyday - definitely not a 4 star hotel breakfast -only 3 lifts and you might end up waiting 10 minutes for a lift! -Staff not polite, they don't care Some positives: - good location, close to everything Overall: if you are looking for a place just to sleep that is close to everything and don't mind lack of cleaning standards saty here

The only good thing about this hotel is the location. The hotel is very old and in poor condition. We received a room that had black mold on the ceiling. Otherwise it has wall paper so you can only notice it on the ceiling. Very humid and musty, the air system is very old and not helping and you can't open the window. We requested another room after spent there 2 nights because it was impossible to sleep in that room and I felt I got ill and developed a caugh. The new room was a bit better but still unpleasant humid and musty, at least there was no mold. No excuses from the staff, they didn't even offer to transfer our luggage to the new room. The gym is a joke, it's smaller than a hotel room and 2 people can barely fit in it.

I had a pleasant stay at Rosedale, conveniently located about a 10-minute walk from Causeway Bay MTR Station (Exit F1). The room was well-maintained and very clean, which made for a comfortable experience. The housekeeping lady did a splendid job throughout my stay. The reception team was efficient and attentive, with a special mention to Beata for her great service. The lobby staff were also polite and welcoming. Overall, excellent service across the board.

Great location and a wonderful room. A bit on the small side, but was clean, comfortable and everything worked. The breakfast is the only reason it is not a 5! Not very good with limited selection and awful coffee. Staff was warm and welcoming.

Pros: Friendly staff, clean and solid room for the price, good view of the water from the room, convenient location with tram/ding ding right outside and MTR station only <10 min walk away. Cons: Mini-fridge not suitable for food, smaller room, slight smell, elevators can be crowded and take a while, no hair conditioner provided.

Space of the room is sufficient than other same price of hotels, bigger is good !

場所は銅鑼湾からも近くて、ちょっとした買い物や食事も問題はありません。部屋は設備等は相当古いですが、香港のホテルならこんなものかと思います。壁は薄いようで隣の子どもの声がよく聞こえていました。食事は残念ながらダメですね。初日は食べましたが、翌日からは外で食べました。人によるのかも知れません。 元香港居住者なので、銅鑼湾の土地勘もあったので、ホテルの選択としては正解だったと思っています。

部屋も広く、いつも綺麗に清掃されていてとてもよかったです。また利用したいです。

32階(高層)の原因であるかもしれませんが、浴室シャワーの水圧が弱いし、お湯の温度(いっぱいにしても)はぬるい。 今まで泊まった香港のホテルの浴室のシャワー水圧は強く、お湯も熱く出せるのに対して、今回は意外でした。

The room was small and bed very noisy and creaky. Positives about the hotel were the staff and good location. Easy to walk everywhere including easy access to the metro.

Overall, it was very good, but the service attitude of some staff members did not quite match the overall hotel standard…

Thank you the wonderful staff who went above and beyond to get me a cab and also loaded my luggages into the car just so I could catch my flight on time. I was really touched by their helpfulness and it makes me want to come back to the hotel. However, the reasons why I might not be going back is because I understand that most buildings in Hongkong are old and there's nothing much you can do about it. But maybe there's a problem with the sewage and even the air ventilation. I say this because after flushing the toilet, the water still looks a little dirty. It has yellowish color doesn't how many times you try to flush it. You won't see clear color and it made me wonder if that's the same condition of the sink water that I used to wash my face and brush my teeth. Anyway, it's either the air quality in Hongkong or the water but my throat was kinda hurting almost like everyday. I noticed alot of people go out and smoke on the street and they always happen to be standing in the wind direction which was very annoying. I hate wearing a mask but I felt like I had to because of how bad the air was. Back to the hotel, I smell food inside my room around 8am everyday and I'm sure it came from the cafeteria downstairs although I've never been down there so I thought I was tripping. But I kept smelling it every morning so then I realized that I wasn't crazy yet. Again, I won't forget that day. The biggest rainstorm in hongkong. Thank you staff!

Check in was terrible. The staff member I had served another person that pushed in and failed to maintain control of the line. Furthermore was extremely slow and had unexpected costs which they did not make clear on their website. I would not be coming back here not recommend anyone chose this place as choice of accommodation.

Heel slecht hotel! Personeel is niet aardig. We kwamen van een heel lange vlucht vroeger als de check-in tijd. Ze wouden ons de kamer absoluut niet geven, we waren zo moe dat we in de lobby op de zetels hebben geslapen. Dit heeft het personeel absoluut niet gestoort! Heel onmenselijke service en hotel. Ik raad dit hotel ten zeerste af. 0/10 voor alles! Kamers waren niet eens proper en zijn aan renovatie toe!

Was looking forward to this stay, upon arrival (granted at 8pm) we were greeted by an extremely unhelpful worker at the desk, who made us feel very uncomfortable and that we weren’t the correct clientele for this hotel. The worker didn’t give us the opportunity to use a bank card for the deposit, looked at our bank card and said cash was our only option. This meant we had to leave 500HK$ behind the front desk for the entirety of our trip, which was pointless as only got it back at check out as we were leaving the country. The staff member also explained if anything was found to be wrong with the room in any way that the money wouldn’t be returned to us at all. The room itself was large, as described but the beds were extremely hard, we also had ripped pillowcases, ripped towels and a damaged toilet seat, however we were made to feel like if we complained to anyone we would lose our money. Strangely, upon returning to the room one day a pillowcase was underneath a small backpack by the side of the bed, this made me extremely uncomfortable as made me question had someone been interfering with my bag whilst I wasn’t in the hotel. Other small details like the fridge in the room wasn’t keeping anything cool, and the air-conditioning temperature would be changed daily by housekeeping and leave the room at a frustratingly cold temperature.

The hotel is right in Causeway Bay however it is quite a challenge to get there with luggage.

The staff are very friendly, even with my persistent demand for a refund due to a cancelled flight, they did their best to help and finally settled it with Expedia. The hotel is right by Victoria Park and Central Library, and just a few minutes walk to the MTR station.

The hotel is in a side road off the main road. It is quiet while have excellent access to transport link and shopping and dinning in Causeway Bay area

Breakfast was worse than before, and the restaurant staff were all huddled together talking incessantly. Breakfast time is until 10:30 am, but they were already packing up at 10 am, which I felt was very disrespectful to the guests.

Breakfast definitely needs to be improve, from the food to the dinning area. The food area layout is not friendly to use and

The rooms are OK. Clean and have all you need. Hotel itself is ok from location and standard Terrible is the breakfast. Very very simple and few choices.

A really good value in hotel in a very convenient area : close to lots of transport options. Not worth paying for breakfast as it’s poor value.
