This is a wonderful hotel located right in the centre of the Old City. The Hagia Sophia is right next to the hotel and many of the central attractions are within walking distance. There is also a tram stop located a short distance from the hotel. The rooms are clean, stylish and comfortable. Lovely bathrooms with hot water. I had a really great night sleep here. I would suggest having the Turkish breakfast in the morning - a lot of food and all of it tasty, it will set you up for the day. The hotel also offers tea and treats in the afternoon - recommended! The staff were all very friendly and helpful, assisting with luggage, explaining how to use public transport or helping you book a tour. I would stay here again, this hotel had a very warm and friendly feel to it.

We were pleasantly surprised with our stay here. When we arrived i was not quite sure how it would be as the entrance was very basic. However staff went above and beyond with service. Breakfast was amazing and so much choice! The rooms were cosy and always cleaned well. The only drawback was that taxis were not allowed in the area as it is a UNESCO heritage site. However after the first day we got used to the idea and it truly isca beautiful historical location.

Location, you are a stone’s throw from the Hagia Soohia.Hotel staff were amazingly friendly. Greeted me with refreshing drink when I arrived to helping with bags to my room and the like. During my stay they were flexible with missing breakfast. Concierge desk were quite helpful with places to eat to local tourist spots. The room was clean. Staff always greeted with a smile.

This for sure was a gem during my short stay. The hotel is perfectly positioned to easily visit all of the great sites, restaurants and shopping that Istanbul has to office. The breakfast was absolutely delicious and the staff were accommodating and friendly. I had to take away one star bec if the sewage odor coming from the toilet. This is probably not the fault of the hotel; however I would suggest utilizing deodorizers to take care of the awful smell.

Perfect location within easy walking distance of key iconic sites.Pleasant,very clean rooms with two comfortable lounge/bar areas and a wide choice of beautifully served breakfast options. The staff are outstanding, invariably friendly and helpful. The front desk is always staffed with personnel who have a good working knowledge of English and provide practical help in booking excursions,buying tickets, confirming reservations and mastering the public transport system. This hotel goes the extra yard in removing hassles and ensuring a comfortable and relaxing holiday. I will definitely stay here on my next visit to Istanbul

Hotel was in a great location right by the main attractions in Old Town. Rooms were nice but the bathroom door was sheer and so the light poured into the entire room. And the shower door would not close fully so water got everywhere. Since taxis can’t come down direct to the hotel, it was somewhat confusing for some drivers, but a quick 3 minute walk to another stop was no issue. Staff was extremely attentive though and very helpful.

The hotel's location is superb, the staff is terrific and the breakfast is excellent. However the rooms are very small and the showers are awkward and very slippery. We were unable to unpack our suitcases due to lack of space. If you are staying for 2 or 3 days, you will be fine. A shout out to the staff for arranging tours and assisting with logistics, as the hotel is in a no-drive zone. Have your taxi call the hotel and they will have someone meet you at the drop off to take you and your bags to the hotel.

This has to be the best location in Sultanahmet, Hagia Sofia and the Blue Mosque and Basilica all across the street. Very safe and interesting neighborhood. Good free breakfast and friendly staff. The bathroom is slightly dated, rooms are smaller, but location, location and location. We like it and recommend it highly.

Overall our stay at the hotel was excellent! We got the room with a balcony facing the Hagia Sophia and honestly, I don’t think you could have gotten a better view of it. Coffee was good and they provided plenty of water, which was good. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Bed was comfortable. Bedroom slippers were good too. They provided bath towels and hand towels but I do wish face towels were provided too. I also found the shower floor a bit slippery.

The hotel is literally right next to the Hagia Sophia, opposite the Basilica Cistern and only five mins walk to the Blue Mosque, 5-8 mins to the Grand Bazaar. Absolutely endless choice of cafes, restaurants and gift shops. Tram Stop at Sultanahmet is five mins walk with frequent trams into the city. So, quite the historic and tourist centre. I had a deluxe room at the rear of the hotel which had a brilliant view of the Hagia Sophia and quiet; you get the call to prayer five times which lasts for about five minutes. The quality of the hotel is very good. Very helpful staff. Very enjoyable traditional Turkish Breakfast. Difficult to get to from the international airport by public transport (but I did it and quite an experience in itself) but a cheap and good alternative is to get the Havaist bus to Sultanahmet (TRY 315). So, a great place to stay for a trip, especially a first trip, to Istanbul!

The stay was great and I really love the location. The staff was excellent and cleanliness was great. My only issue was being woken up by my neighbors in the next room the first night around 2 am. Finally put ear plugs in and was able to get back to sleep.

Great location. Steps from all the important sites and close to transportation. The hôtel looks great from the outside but a bit outdated and tired in the inside. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I asked the cleaning ladies several times for face towels, i was told they had but never délivered them. I felt they were a bit clueless in reception and restaurant. Good hôtel over all.

I m really pleased with their customer service. I landed in the morning, and they were happy to check me in without any additional charges. When inquired about food place at 4am, the staff literally came with breakfast platter when the kitchen was closed. Reception staffs go extra mile to look after their guests. Even 2 of staffs helped my wife with the luggage and walked to the taxi parking area, as taxis can’t come to the reception area (500 m). I stayed there only for 2 nights, as I had medical appointment, but I wish I could stay there for longer.

Although breakfast was included in our reservation, the hotel tried to pull a fast one first, but accepted when shown the reservation details. Outstanding staff, especially Sedat, Taha, Volkan, and the other front desk manager whose name I didn’t catch. We had a rough start to the day due to a missed flight in IST, and Sedat and Taha were extremely welcoming, attentive, and supportive to our needs. Can’t say enough good things about the staff. Location is 11/10. Hagia Sophia and the Blue Mosque are a 1 min walk from the hotel. Rooms are comfortable, clean, and quiet. Beds are comfortable and showers and toilets are well designed. Housekeeping staff are friendly. Harpist playing in the morning in the breakfast area. Would absolutely recommend and would stay again if I have the chance.

We had a rough start to the day due to a missed flight in IST, and Sedat and Taha were extremely welcoming, attentive, and supportive to our needs. Can’t say enough good things about the staff. Location is 11/10. Hagia Sophia and the Blue Mosque are a 1 min walk from the hotel. Rooms are comfortable, clean, and quiet. Beds are comfortable and showers and toilets are well designed. Housekeeping staff are friendly. Harpist playing in the morning in the breakfast area. Would absolutely recommend and would stay again if I have the chance.

Nice staff. They helped us to carry luggage to the taxi which parked a block away. This hotel is located in a restricted zone so taxi cannot drop off or pick up directly from the hotel. The closest point to get taxi is about 100 meters away. The staff is very attentive.

The staff is amazing...and the location cannot be beat. Keep in mind that this location is inside the UNESCO zone...so no car traffic...which is great, but it takes a little effort to check-in. Having said that, the front desk staffed WALKED over to where my cab dropped me off, and rolled my bag back to the location. Great service! The free breakfast was over-the-top good. It's an older boutique hotel...so keep that in mind. But now that I'm not doing business travel much, I steer away from large brands.

The st. Sophia hotel is in the beautiful old city area a walking distance to major tourist attractions. We were very pleased with the hotel service. The pickup from the airport was organized perfectly by the hotel. On the way back to the airport they called a taxi at 4:00 am & helped us with the luggage. There were 3 or 4 hotel workers in the lobby ready to help at 4am!!! Excellent service at st. Sophia hotel!!!

The location is perfect. The staff is the most friendly, helpful and attentive we’ve ever experienced. We were walked to shops, shows, restaurants and accompanied while we shopped. All the recommendations were terrific. We’ve been to almost 90 countries, but we’ve never had this class of attention. Can’t say enough great things about this place. We hope to come back again. Perfect location within easy walking distance of key iconic sites.Pleasant,very clean rooms with two comfortable lounge/bar areas and a wide choice of beautifully served breakfast options. The staff are outstanding, invariably friendly and helpful. The front desk is always staffed with personnel who have a good working knowledge of English and provide practical help in booking excursions,buying tickets, confirming reservations and mastering the public transport system. This hotel goes the extra yard in removing hassles and ensuring a comfortable and relaxing holiday. I will definitely stay here on my next visit to Istanbul

Hotel was in a great location right by the main attractions in Old Town. Rooms were nice but the bathroom door was sheer and so the light poured into the entire room. And the shower door would not close fully so water got everywhere. Since taxis can’t come down direct to the hotel, it was somewhat confusing for some drivers, but a quick 3 minute walk to another stop was no issue. Staff was extremely attentive though and very helpful.

Liked the location of the hotel as had easy access to tram system to get around and it was in a walkable area. The accommodations were nice and the staff were very helpful. The only problem was very close to a mosque so clearly hear the calling to prayers.

A charming boutique hotel with an amazing location. Friendly and helpful staff. Check in was a breeze. The room was comfortable, modern and clean. It is a stone’s throw from the Haghia Sophia. It is steps away from many sights. Situated right on a tram line (but not bothered by noise) connections to Istanbul’s excellent public transportation are a breeze. I highly recommend it and hope to return soon

The hotel is literally right next to the Hagia Sophia, opposite the Basilica Cistern and only five mins walk to the Blue Mosque, 5-8 mins to the Grand Bazaar. Absolutely endless choice of cafes, restaurants and gift shops. Tram Stop at Sultanahmet is five mins walk with frequent trams into the city. So, quite the historic and tourist centre. We were pleasantly surprised with our stay here. When we arrived i was not quite sure how it would be as the entrance was very basic. However staff went above and beyond with service. Breakfast was amazing and so much choice! The rooms were cosy and always cleaned well. The only drawback was that taxis were not allowed in the area as it is a UNESCO heritage site. However after the first day we got used to the idea and it truly isca beautiful historical location.

We stayed four nights at this property. The location is very good, but difficult to find. Although breakfast was included in our reservation, the hotel tried to pull a fast one first, but accepted when shown the reservation details. Breakfast was good, but the choices become stale if staying for four nights, especially because there is not much choice for vegetarians. The dining staff was very good. The front desk was most interested in selling tours, but not in providing advice on good tour guides. Finally, and this was upsetting: we did not get our VIP Gold benefits at this property.

Ormai è la mia seconda casa quando vengo qui ad Istambul. La posizione è eccezionale lo staff è straordinario e ogni volta trovo lo stesso staff, questo mi da conforto nel sapere che quando torno trovo le stesse persone. Room 42 delivered all promised. Big room and bathroom, work space we needed, in room coffee, very comfy bed, AND a wonderful balcony overlooking Hagia Sophia. BEST room in town. The Turkish breakfast is amazing as well. The patio bar is okay if you want wine or beer. Any other liquor, no! It’s been sitting in the direct sun for who knows how long and they really don’t know how to make any drinks. If you want a full bar that’s relaxing, go to the Hilton bar right around the upper street corner to your left then left again. You can also walk to most sites or grab the tram to get anywhere. Careful with cabs - they are notorious for overcharging and taking you for a ride. Uber not much better. Walk or tram. Note: the call to prayer is quite loud and is literally right outside your sliding doors. We loved it, but if it’s something that bothers you, it’s probably not the room for you. And since you can hear it all over town from all the mosques, it may not be the town for you. Warning: the hotel is in no way wheelchair or walker or disabled accessible. It says they are and some pictures show you a street entrance. Nope. See the pictures.
