We did have problems with the TV but they tried to help but only a little but by the evening we got the TV to work. Forgot there was no elevator and you had to climb stairs and my husband has bad knees

The room smelled like cigarette smoke when we walked in The mattress was great but the blankets were very thin The is no elevator and you have to walk the length of the building to get to a ramp It is a very old building clean but could be updated

The hotel is in need of a Reno. But the room was clean and bathroom was as well. Room was roomy, quiet and free parking! Bed was comfortable with extra pillows on the king bed The two staff members that I interacted with were polite and efficient. For the price it was a nice place to lay me head.

Recommend that the parking space on the left closest to the entrance be designated for handicapped persons as the parking lot and driveway up to the door is uphill.

Did not expect to have to climb 2 floors with a heavy suitcase. We are over 75! TV did not work but the hostess made every effort to help and was successful

Area seemed safe. Parking was fairly easy around the property. Didn't like having to climbs stairs to get to our room. They could have an elevator. I did like that you could pull up to your room without having to walk thru the hotel. Continental breakfast were simple items and they had a waffle maker. The coffee packages in the hotel room were the wrong size for the coffee machine itself.

The bed, furniture, and bathroom were clean but the carpet was filthy. It looked clean but definitely needed a deep shampooing. The bottom of my socks were black by bedtime. The ice machine barely dispensed enough ice for one drink.

We loved the place and price was under $100 all in. Awesome place. Lots of parking. Safe area.

The heater in the room is broken. We checked in and it was freezing. Took awhile before the front desk brought us a heater but it should have worked and not needed a space heater in our room. The parking lot is very limited for space. Truck should fit under 6’8 height but their entrance is definitely lower than 6’8”. Walls around the entire building are bare. Front check in looks very unwelcoming. The breakfast room is very unwelcoming, but also, the waffle maker looks as though it hasn’t been cleaned in months. Took pictures for my on reference cos I didn’t think anyone would believe me. I didn’t pay much for this place thanks to Expedia but I feel as though I should have paid way less. Quite disappointed.

The property is nothing like it shows on the website. It’s dirty, there’s people living in it and cooking outside the hotel. The hallway floors and roof are uneven and wavy. The rooms, yes are outdated that’s not the issue, it’s dirty, the carpets seems like they have never been cleaned. My wife and I checked in at 5:30ish and we are checking out the same night cuz we absolutely cannot stay there, because of how gross it is.

Sheets had a large (Like 12 inchs large) blood stain on it, impossible that it wasnt seen. Bedding in general had multiple stains and bodily fluids on it (so glad I brought my own, as it was exceptionally bad). Soap dish in the shower hadnt been wiped out etc. Probably would avoid staying here again purely due to the condition of the bedding alone (Ick!)

We found it very clean and the staff was great. The price was great for a room in Kamloops.

The only positive was that the room was cleaned well and bed was fine, however, the carpet was filthy and room had been smoked in. We arrived about 9pm and I could hear another guest with a raised voice from the inside of their room. I thought he was yelling at a person in his room but later realised it was probably at a sport game on TV. We were on level 1 and there is a large gap under the room front doors to a shared hallway and noise carries between them. There was also a man speaking quietly on the phone in the hallway, and when we got into our room we could still hear him. The room we got had been smoked in, not recently, but the leftover smoke in the air conditioning and soft furnishings was overpowering. Even though the rooms have non-smoking signs on each door, I could smell fresh cigarette smoke coming from under the door of one of the rooms as I walked to reception to check out the next day. There was a cigarette burn on our bathtub too. I felt like I was in the 90s. The room carpet had dirty tracks in traffic areas, like people came in with dirty boots on and trekked it through the room. It could be an area problem because we stayed in another place that had signs about replacing the carpet, cleaning boots before entering the hotel and a tray for boots inside the room. On check out I mentioned the carpet to the lady on reception who seemed disinterested. I can’t recommend this other than as an extreme budget hotel. Not worth the ~$100 we paid.

The beds were okay and the AC worked however the AC was so loud and we couldn’t adjust it. It was on or off. There was a fridge that said out of order that stunk like something died in it. The hallway smelled so strongly of cigarette smoke and the entry area to our room did as well. It was a non smoking floor. When we complained they came up and agreed it smelled but did nothing. The ice maker didn’t work. Overall it definitely was not worth over $200 per night.

Beautiful views from the uneven numbered rooms on second and third floor. Easy breakfast with waffle maker, cereals and toast. Starbucks is less than a 5 minute walk if you want better coffee. My family was thankful for this economical clean and quiet room. We have already booked for next year.

The hotel was outdated.

You get what you pay for with this property. Air conditionner was so loud it woke us up every 20 mins. The TV didnt work, thank goodness we had a laptop with us.The bathroom floor was sticky as well. It was a one night stop on the way to Jasper, but maybe we should have paid a little more and stayed somewhere else..

Overall the stay and hotel were good. The staff at the front desk need a course on customer service. The 2 ladies that were working when we checked in were less than friendly. They spoke in their first language which isn’t English - very disrespectful. No friendly chitchat, no smiles, not overly willing to answer questions. They certainly were getting paid too much based on their customer service.

Room was clean and quiet. Staff was friendly and polite. Just a nice experience all around.

Excellent facility. Front staff person was very helpful and accommodating. We needed a first floor room due to mobility issues and she changed rooms to help us out.

I am not comfortable with having my drivers license being asked for and scanned. The info is mine and should not be asked for.

Check in was annoying. Had booked in advance. Checked in then was told to come back as they didn’t check in wrong and actually didnt have a room for us. Not really apologetic either. Then… they found my reservation and we checked in. Hotel itself is very strange, beds are terrible, I believe family owned and family lives there. Cooking at all hours and the hallways and our room drenched in the smell. Hate to give a bad review as they are a small business…. The room itself was clean, beds were clean. AC is a VERY loud window box. I think lots of room to improve. Would stay again as a last resort. I travel with service animal and need a pet friendly place. Check in desk needs some customer service training.

They had nothing on their computer showing a reservation. Good on them still acknowledging the booking but I had to put up another $100 extra as an extra fee to cover any room damage. So I booked the room for $108 and with tax $125. So okay cool. But I was charged $225 in total. Still waiting for the refund . Our room was left immaculate. Still no refund. Is this a scam to get $100 above the price?????

Smooth check in, warm and clean room, friendly staff.

This hotel was nicer than I expected from previous reviews. Older property but rooms very clean. Great location-close to good shopping and University. Some rough looking people hanging around run down apartments next door. Despite this I think we would stay here again as the room rates/access to amenities outweigh the negatives.

The location of the hotel is perfect. Just steps away from a viewpoint where one can enjoy the sight of Kamloops. The neighborhood is quiet and safe.

Good location

Yikes this property is stuck in the 70s and the mattresses felt like they were the original ones. Never slept on a more uncomfortable mattress. Woke up in massive pain. There is no accessibility for anyone with mobility issues. We booked a room on the first floor....that you could only access by stairs. But the cherry on top happened only minutes after we checked in when somehow 2 people accessed our floor (which you need a key fob to open the door from the staircase) and were knocking at our door looking for their drug dealer. I sent them away and they kept coming back until they realized he was in the room next to us (awesome). Made us feel so safe (NOT) to leave our stuff in the room to go to dinner. Needless to say not much sleep was had. We couldnt get out of there quick enough the next morning. We will never be back!

Not so fantastic, they have raised their rates when it is not a high standard hotel.Terrible location withchigh police presence as it is close to many drug users and many places nearby are low income housing. Leading to it being a fairly unsafe area.

By breakfast they mean cireal and carbs. Our bedding also was stained with yellow marks.

The room was very clean. The employees that I dealt with were very friendly. The breakfast could have had a little more options. The outside & entrances for the rooms weren’t the most inviting. Could use more lighting.

Really liked everything at the motel. From toiletries to breakfast, everything surpassed our expectation. It’s a very nice and cozy place to stay. Breakfast items were fresh. Loved making fresh waffles by pouring the mixture into it. There were no eggs but four types of cereals, yogurt, milk, Cream, cream cheese, peanut butter, bagels, bread, two types of juices, fresh blueberry muffins and coffee were more than enough. It was great value for the price we paid.

Quite sufficient breakfast for ‘Continental’. Coffee was weak, could be stronger.
