KC Grande Resort Koh Chang

Otur att vi kommer mitt i renovering. Byggställning och massa oljud från bygget in till poolen. Kan tyvärr inte koppla av vid poolen. Men det blir nog fint när det blir färdig. Bästa service av personalen.

Rummet var fint, personalen trevlig. Läget är helt perfekt. Rent och fint. Bra gym, även om det hade behövt vara lite större.

Je suis partagé. C'est un bon hôtel, idéalement situé, notre bungalow était propre et bien aménagé, la nourriture était bonne et les prix corrects. Le staff était efficace (sans forcément être exceptionnel). C'est une bonne adresse à considérer à white sand beach mais l'hôtel est beaucoup plus grand que ce que les photos laissent penser. Les bungalows sont nombreux et assez proches les uns des autres et l'hôtel compte également plusieurs immeubles avec des chambres. Au total : 4 piscines avec des ambiances très différentes. Côté bungalow, il n'est pas simple d'avoir un transat sur la plage si vous n'êtes pas en front de mer. Beaucoup de chambres donc beaucoup de monde ce qui enlève un peu au charme de l'hôtel. N'y allez pas en pensant être seul au monde dans un endroit paradisiaque comme ça peut être le cas à d'autres endroits sur l'île, ce n'est pas le cas. Mais vous serez a proximité de bars, de restaurants, d'un 7 eleven et du marché de nuit (nourriture) ce qui est assez pratique. Bref, un bon hôtel mais je m'attendais à autre chose quand j'ai réservé sur base des photos. Renseignez vous bien pour être certain que c'est ce type d'hébergement que vous recherchez

Das KC Grande Resort auf Koh Chang liegt an der Ringstraße sowie direkt am schönen ruhigen Strand. Die Anlage ist zweigeteilt, ein Teil an der Strandseite und der andere auf der anderen Straßenseite (Überweg gesichert). Es gibt 3 ansprechende Pools, 1 davon mit direktem Meerblick, sowie 1 als Roof Top, beide mit Bar. Das Hotel hat außerdem ein gutes Fitnessstudio mit Meerblick. Der Gesamteindruck der Anlage ist hübsch, groß und doch überschaubar. Zwei Restaurants sind am Strand. Das Essen ist einwandfrei, aber für thailändische Verhältnisse äußerst hochpreisig. Als Frühstück gab es sehr großes, gutes Buffet. Sauberkeit und Freundlichkeit waren durchweg positiv. Unser Zimmer (Deluxe Room) war groß mit Sofa, Balkon und bequemen Betten. Gestört wurde die Nachtruhe durch die sehr laute Klimaanlage. Um das Hotel gibt es Möglichkeiten für Essen und Einkaufen, sowie ausreichend Parkplätze auf dem Hotelgelände. Punktabzug: > Die Klimaanlage im Zimmer roch unangenehm und war ungewöhnlich laut, selbst auf geringster Stufe. Sie schaffte keine Entfeuchtung. > Die Wasserrutsche des Pools war während des gesamten Aufenthalts außer Betrieb. > Beim Duschen setzt man konstruktionsbedingt das Bad unter Wasser. Eine Empfehlung, wenn man große Resorts mag. Durch die Anlage als Resort und die touristische Umgebung bleibt das Thailand-Feeling leider auf der Strecke. Aus Erfahrung wissen wir, dass in der Preisklasse hübschere und ruhigere Hotels auf der Insel zu haben sind (abgelegener).

Eigentlich eine wirklich schöne Anlage mit tollen Pools, super Service und die Villen sind sehr ansprechend, doch leider werden momentan das Restaurant und der Frühstücksbereich kernsaniert, demnach war es tagsüber wirklich laut.

Rena och fina rum, bra frukost och speciellt fräscht med ett svalrum för den kalla maten. Fint poolområde, dock trist med alla som paxar solstolar och sen är de knappt där under hela dagen. Här har de skyltar att det inte är tillåtet och att handdukar plockas bort efter ett tag om man inte nyttjar platsen men tyvärr görs inget åt det.

Stay was ok, staff very helpful, breakfast, all the food in warmers is nearly cold and the quality of food in general is poor, choice is not great, we changed rooms after 3 nights as the first room was damp and could be a danger to some peoples health, this was on Hillside, also very noisy over there, we had problems late at night, and with only 1 staff on overnight things don't get looked at til next day, pool area great near beach, just on Hillside, all in all stay was ok, its a resort so production line tourists mainly.

Amazing Villa with access directly to the Beach. The resort was well presented, clean and spacious well set out. Staff were very friendly and nothing was a problem. Breakfast was delicious with a wide variety of both Western and Thai dishes. Villa was always kept spotless, thank you to the Housekeeping staff. Groundsteam did a fantastic job, cleaning up the beach every morning and also around the resort.

The Room:Deluxe Garden View Villa-it just looked at the back of another room and the entrance to where all the housekeeping staff kept bedding etc, so it wasn't very private & had no view whatsoever. I was just a room, not a villa, with only a thin screen separating the balcony from the room next door. It was a large room & well decorated, the bathroom was very big. Only mirror was bathroom, could not plug hairdryer in as fixed towel rail was over the plug. Beach:bits of litter on beach which spoilt it somewhat, would not have taken long to clear daily. Service:Reception was chaotic & on the occasions I asked questions, no one was able to help or answer. We had one day where all towels & robes were taken from our room by housekeeping, they were replaced when we called Housekeeping - but that should not happen as from the price list for every item in the room,we know they may have charged us for them. The chaps that drive the golf buggies around were lovely and happy, as were the staff at breakfast. Breakfast: delicious & a great choice. General site: Small bits of rubbish everywhere, these could easily be cleaned up-there was a razor outside our room on the floor the entire time. The biggest issue was the noise from the construction work, if we'd had any idea how extensive it was, we would never have booked. They are building 2 huge buildings & all day from 8am-9pm you could hear very loud construction noise, angle grinders,hammers,diggers-the pool & beach peace ruined.

Die Außenanlage war sehr schön. Die Zimmer gute Größe und sind ausreichend. Die Badezimmer sind in die Jahre gekommen und müßten überholt werden. In diesem Bereich wurde auch nicht so gründlich gereinigt wie man es erwarten würde. Eine Spinnwebe mit toter Spinne wurde die ganze Woche nicht entfernt. Und die Fugen zwischen den Fliesen im Bereich der Badewanne zeigten auch schon Schimmel an. Aber das gesamte Personal war immer sehr freundlich und Hilfsbereit. Dafür ein dickes Lob!!

Clean and peaceful

Swimming pool area and the beach were great! Overall our experience with the hotel was very good. Only negatives with the hotel was that we were unaware about the renovations of two main buildings during our stay and the hotel building and the surrounding could have been a bit more clean. But then again it wasn't a season.

Our first time visiting Thailand, we’ve just spent a week at KC Grande Resort & Spa on the island of Koh Chang before heading to Bangkok for the rest of our vacation. We found the resort to be well maintained, very clean, and comfortable. Our ground floor Sea View Grande Deluxe room was spacious and the bed was very comfortable. We appreciated the close proximity to the beach, pool and restaurants. We were provided with free parking for our rented scooter. The daily breakfast buffet offered a wide selection of hot and cold foods, and good coffee. WiFi was mostly reliable, and decently quick, with access everywhere we went on the resort property. We really have no complaints about our stay, but note that lounging chairs on the beach and at the pool are quickly claimed with guest towels early each morning. Without a single exception, the KC Grande staff were friendly, helpful and welcoming. No one was ever hovering around, housekeeping was quick and efficient each day, and the front desk and security personnel were always smiling and ready to assist. Perhaps the best resort experience we’ve had, in terms of the staff interaction. Highly recommended!

Ett slitet nedgånget hotell som på sin höjd kan vara 4 stjärnor. Första rummet var fuktskadat, och flera familjer vi pratat med under vistelsen upplevde samma sak. Badkläder torkade inte, och kläder man hängde upp i rummet började tillslut mögla. Vi kunde som tur var byta rum till en villa som var relativt nybyggd mot stranden. Framför villan låg där våra solstolar låg fanns det massor med cigarettfimpar och annat skräp.

Frühstück und Lage sind sehr gut. Zimmer sind gut. Die Klimaanlage im Zimmer ist aber ineffizient und recht laut. Es gibt aber viel zu wenig Liegen in Strandnähe für die Masse an Gästen. Wer das unwürdige Spiel des Liegen-Reservieren nicht mitmachen möchte, der geht leer aus.

I think I paid too much money for this place. I think it’s mildly overrated, The prices at the time of my booking were definitely high for Thailand at about $100/night. The deluxe rooms are clean but the decor is outdated so I upgraded to a garden bungalow. They are not sound insulate but beautifully decorated and much more modern. The facilities close entirely too early to be called a 4 star hotel. The area is very walkable. I would stay again if I booked in advance and got a better deal.

We have stayed at the KC Grand on many occasions and have never been disappointed. Breakfast was brilliant with everything you could possibly want. The hot bath on our balcony, although worked perfectly was looking a little tired. Our double bed was huge.

The staff are very friendly and attentive. The rooms are generally fine, although some are a bit dated and would benefit from a few upgrades (for example, my bed had a metal spring sticking out). Overall, however, it is a good, well-maintained, and recommendable hotel with a beautiful property. The predominantly German tourists who already reserve sun loungers at 8:00 a.m. with towels—despite the clearly posted prohibition—are unfortunately a typical and rather disappointing sight. Shame on you.

무조건 바다 근처 숙소로 하세요 수영장 접근 가능한 방으로 했는데 비치랑 찻길로 동떨어져있습니다

Decent hotel, but it’s not a five-star hotel. We had booked a beachside villa apartment with our own sun loungers. The sun loungers were always taken by others, and the hotel told us to contact them to get new ones, but this took far too long or wasn’t followed up at all, so after a few days, we just gave up on that. There was supposed to be Wi-Fi, but it didn’t work. They promised to fix it several times, but it never happened. Instead, we had to buy expensive data packages on our phones. For the first few days, we relaxed on the beach and ordered lunch to the villa. One day, a waiter rudely said: "Don’t you go other places?" After that, we stopped eating at the hotel. Otherwise, Koh Chang is very nice, and there’s a lot to see by renting a scooter. I can recommend the island, but not the hotel.

Stayed in large deluxe room with outdoor balcony tub. Arrived one hour past check in (3pm) and still had to wait one hour to check in despite hotel not appearing busy. Room not ready still (baby crib in room when we got there (I dont have a baby). Air conditioner leaked water throughout trip in large pools on the floor and on our hanging clothes. Staff forgot many things daily like water and towels. Received 2 notices on a 5 night trip that limited access to the grounds. They fumigated one day and held a wedding that limited pool, beach and ocean access. Balcony tub not worth it, it was cracked, weathered and dirty. Also, 2nd floor balcony did not provide privacy and fitness room users could look onto your balcony. 2nd floor fitness room blocks most of your sea view from your room. Breakfast was the highlight of the resort. The resort itself could use a refresh. If you do book here, wait for an online deal and stay in the smaller room. Paying for a tub and seeing treadmillers instead of the ocean isnt worth it. You'll save money and maybe your AC wont leak.

There were some minor issues at check in, but they were addressed and handled well by the manager. Staff were friendly and the breakfast was exceptionally good for buffet style. One thing to note that we learned after arrival is that room labeled as hillside are across the street from the main part of the property.

Helt ok hotell men absolut inget 5 stjärnigt hotell. Läget är bra men servicen är under all kritik och motsvarar absolut inget 5 stjärnigt hotell. Frukosten helt ok.

Okay hotel dog ikke fem stjerne værd, passer nok bedre til tre stjerner. Værelser er fine, kø ved morgenmad hvor området ikke er stort nok til antal gæster. Ikke solsenge til alle gæster. Ringe service i receptionen.

Eine Schande für ein Hotel in einer solchen Lage. Das Grillrestaurant ebenfalls eine Katastrophe. Das Frühstück ist hervorragend. Die Jungs an der Poolbar ebenfalls. Dagegen ist die Rezeption unmöglich, Antwortet nicht auf Anfragen und ignoriert Anliegen vollkommen

We had a wonderful stay at KC Grand, Koh Chang. Making our stay amazing… Jia in the pool bar, my beautiful cleaner (I didn’t get your name) my amazing Thai massage lady… honestly the whole stay was amazing.

Location and facilities were great, despite renovations that took place on the main building but did not interrupt our stay. The staff was amazing and went out of their way to make sure that any issue would be addressed promptly. Mr. Brook, the reception manager, was attentive to our needs and changes. His understanding to our circumstances made him worthy of his position.

Great Location for walking for shopping and food. 711 and pharmacy next door. Room located close to pool, gym and restaurant. Breakfast included. Amazing white sands beach. Would be great if you could charge to room rather than needing to carry cash.

This is the fourth time i have stayed at this hotel and it never disappoints. Great location on whitesand beach. Spacious rooms, always clean, and great breakfast. Amazing views of the beach from the beachront rooms.

Loved the amenities and location. 10 minutes from the ferry. 7/11 next door.

Toller Strand mit Palmen gesäumt, Frühstück auch sehr gut Abendessen am Grill eine Katastrophe, schlechter Service, Qualität der Speisen nicht gut, keine Beilagen, Wir hatten eine Garden Villa die deutlich in die Jahre gekommen ist, definitiv keine 5 Sterne für den Preis nicht angemessen 3 Sterne wären max ok.

Pros.....The staff on the property are great. Alek and front desk are exceptional. Had a wonderful dinner. pool is amazing. Cons. Bathroom mirrors are wayto low. impossible for a 5'11 man to see him self. Lack of lighting in bathroom a bigger issue. Breakfast offers a wide variety. I am a bacon and over easy guy. The bacon everyday was extremely over cooked and hard. Walk around the dining room no one eats there bacon . Manager needs to wake up and wonder why no one eats . Have a chafing dish label "over easy eggs". JOKE. Every egg is broken and cooked till well done. Would be better off putting nothing in that spot. Balance of buffet is passable at best,\ Thanks again Alek

Veldig bra, kunne trengt litt renovering rundt om etterhvert. Anbefaler å gå andre plasser viss ein skal spise middagen, då det tok opp mot 2 timer frå ein kom til siste middag vart levert (1,5 time frå første til siste rett kom ved bestilling samtidig) , men veldig bra mat og frukost.
