Was our first time to the island and we were very glad we chose Santhiya. Staff was very attentive and the property was beautiful. It was rainy season, so swimming at the beach was not possible, but the pools were very nice. We stayed in a garden bungalow and it was very nice. Would highly recommend.

This is our fourth time. The Pool Suites are really worthwhile - well set out with large balcony and of course pool. The beach at Khlong Prou is possibly the nicest beach in Koh Chang where the hotel is. The staff are really excellent - Miss Nui, Miss Mod, and Mr Sadam and Mr Zin - english to thai might be wrong - and many other staff really nice and helpful. Can recommend the offers where you get credit of 1000 baht a day - means you can use as you wish - restaurant in hotel is excellent and 15 per cent off in low season. Food is thai style if you want that. My partner did a course in fruit carving and that was well run and fun. Gym and pools are excellent. Has transfers to town which is not far.

This is a truly beautiful property. The wooden panelling and carvings everywhere create a very Zen feel. Beautiful restaurant and bar overlooking a private beach. The room itself was gorgeous with a pool overlooking a river. Superb selection of food at breakfast and great service.

Friendly staff. Limited facilities as pool bar closed and only one restaurant available. Hopefully more will open soon now tourists can travel more freely. Breakfast average. Rooms clean and spacious.

Ein herausragendes Hotel. Die Anlage ist super schön: es gibt ein Haupthaus mit Fruhstucksraum, Fitness und einem sehr langen (60m) Pool perfekt zum Schwimmen. Die Zimmer im Haupthaus verfügen jeweils über einen Balkon mit je einem kleinen eigenen Pool und Aussicht auf die Berge. In der Anlage gibt es zusätzlich mehrere kleine Villen (alle optisch gestaltet wie Tempel), die sich jeweils zu zweit nochmal kleine private Pools teilen; manche haben sogar einen eigenen größeren Pool. Ebenso gibt es einen Spa Center auf der Anlage. Am Strand gibt es zwei Restaurants, die tagsüber bis abends geöffnet sind und einen weiteren großen sehr schön gestalteten Pool. Das Meer kommt bei Flut bis a das Hotelgelände ran, bei Ebbe ist der Strand ca 10m breit und einige 100m lang. Das Personal ist überaus freundlich, grüßt immer wenn sie einem begegnen und sind sehr bemüht, dass man eine tollen Aufenthalt hat. Wir hatten einen tollen Aufenthalt: aufgrund der Nebensaison (September) war nur ein Restaurant am Strand offen, aber man fühlte sich sehr wohl und konnte die Ruhe, den Strand und das luxuriöse Hotel genießen. Das Fitness ist sehr gut ausgestattet und die beiden großen Pools sind traumhaft. Ausnahmslos weiterzuempfehlen.

The property is a beautiful traditional Thai architecture themed property that is quiet and secluded. It is a little inconvenient in terms of location to other shops and restaurants but the hotel provides shuttle service to the main road. The staff and service is amazing.

Don’t be fooled by the pretty pictures! The pools on the balcony’s are freezing cold and can’t be enjoyed as expected. Sunbeds are falling apart, and rotting wood in the showers and in balcony. Higher priced food & drinks which all come with a 17% service charge/tax applied. 1 mile from main road, they do have shuttle bus 5/6 times a day otherwise it’s a good 15-20 mins walk.

Quality of food excellent in all dining areas,rooms kept clean and tidy ,staff very friendly and helpful overall a lovely place to stay only thing negative is needs a spruce up in some areas. Had a very enjoyable and relaxing stay for 10 days 😊😎

Das Ressort hat seine besten Tage leider hinter sich - müsste grundlegend renoviert werden, nur der Frühstücksort ist toll. Die Villen sind heruntergekommen. Leider ist auch die Situation am Strand nicht schön, sondern sehr verbaut.

A beautiful, older resort in the low season which could use some refurbishing and additional wait-staff. It's quiet, out of the way and was once gorgeous. Now it needs a coat of varnish. The hot water in the shower works very well, if you can figure out how to manipulate the faucet. The main restaurant needs more servers, so things like silverware aren't forgotten when the food is brought out.The bottom line: it's quiet, and like stepping into a few hundred years ago. I would consider going back, though it's not perfect

On checking in, the staff were lovely and very helpful, however we had to be moved after our first night after to bathroom flooded due to heavy rain and lack of upkeep of the building roof. The second room was dirty, full of ants and in extremely poor condition. The hotel were unable to help, and could only offer a free massage or meal as compensation. Definitely not a 5* resort as advertised, and we left 3 nights early, resulting in us being out of pocket, however I could not stay here as I was left covered in bites and felt the poor upkeep was a health hazard.

Stayed at this resort in 2017. It was then a relatively small and charming place. It has now expanded with a massive building in the back. The breakfast area has been moved from the airy nice terrace on the sea side to a noisy narrow location at the back. The front is expanded with sun beds. Das Santhiya Tree auf Koh Chang ist das schönste Hotel, in dem ich je gewesn bin. Das Gebäude und die Zimmer sind atemberaubend. Die Gestaltung ist bis in die Details perfekt. Es ist absolut sauber. Die Aussichten sind hervorragend. Das Personal ist sehr zuvorkommend. Das Frühstück ist klasse.

Eine wunderbare Unterkunft für einen wunschlos-glücklich-Urlaub! Absolut zu empfehlen aus meiner Sicht. Sehr freundliches und zuvorkommendes Personal, welches im Umgang mit dem Gast sehr wertschätzend agiert (z.B. Tätigkeit wird unterbrochen; Körperhaltung zum Gast; Lächeln; Gegenstände aus der Hand legen). Die Grünanlagen sind wunderschön und sehr gut gepflegt. Wir hatten das Gefühl im Dschungel zu sein und mochten es sehr. Die Zimmer sind stellenweise ein wenig renovierungsbedürftig (z.B. lassen sich Regale nur sehr schwer herausziehen und Fliesen am Boden auf Terrasse sind gesprungen). Vor kleinen Ameisen sollte man keine Angst haben - sie sind überall. Das Frühstück ist sehr schön und lecker. Eine große Auswahl an westlichen und asiatischen Komponenten wird geboten. Vielen Dank für den gelungenen Aufenthalt! Aus meiner Sicht alles super gemacht!

Die Hotelanlage und das ä Zimmer waren Sauber. Zimmerservice hat gleich am ersten Tag das Wasser vergessen aber sonst Top. Mitarbeiter am Frühstücksbüffet waren leider nicht so aufmerksam obwohl fast keine Gäste beim Frühstück waren, war auch leider kein Buffet sondern man bekam einen Zettel an dem man ankreuzen musste was man wollte was einem dann auch Teilweise gebracht wurde.

It's amazing that we managed to book a pool bungalow at high season (February). A beautiful luxurious accomodation with shared pool. The woodwork (which I believe is Teak) in our bungalow was stunningly beautiful, complete with work desk, sofa futon and a living room with an awesome flat screen TV. Also we loved the furnished patio and clean, crystal clear swimming pool. With these bunglaw suites one doesn't even have to bother going to the resort's main guest pool near the beach. We had the pool all to ourselves because our neighbors were gone much of the time. These bungalows are the height of luxury, including having their own Jacuzzi. The gorgeous Jacuzzi was our favorite. And the grounds are breathtakingly beautiful. The resort has that jungle vibe with so many song birds and natural beauty surrounding it. And the unique and elegant architecture of the main hotel building and cabins and bunglalows is another reason to book accomodations here. And the beach too is just beautiful. Lots of activities in the area, including paddle boards and tour boats. I highly recommend. The Santhiya Tree Resort will not disappoint.

Väldigt fin och annorlunda hotel. Vi bodde i huvudbyggnaden med eget litet pool och utsikt mot floden. Vackert utsikt att vakna till varje dag. Personalen är så trevliga och vänliga och väldigt lyhörda. Miljön är vacker, välordnad och trivsamt. Vi trivdes jätte bra och har ingenting att klaga över.

Nice hotel for couples with friendly staff. The main building is all in wood with unique style and has nice pools for each room. I think these rooms are best. Staff including Sonya were helpful in fixing small issues. Gym better than before but could have a bit more weights and bench. Both pools nice. Breakfast nice. On nice part of clean beach.

Don’t be fooled by the pretty pictures! The pools on the balcony’s are freezing cold and can’t be enjoyed as expected. Sunbeds are falling apart, and rotting wood in the showers and in balcony. Higher priced food & drinks which all come with a 17% service charge/tax applied. 1 mile from main road, they do have shuttle bus 5/6 times a day otherwise it’s a good 15-20 mins walk.
Don’t be fooled by the pretty pictures! The pools on the balcony’s are freezing cold and can’t be enjoyed as expected. Sunbeds are falling apart, and rotting wood in the showers and in balcony. Higher priced food & drinks which all come with a 17% service charge/tax applied. 1 mile from main road, they do have shuttle bus 5/6 times a day otherwise it’s a good 15-20 mins walk.

Okay hotel med god service. Morgenmaden og restauranten var ikke over standard, men servicen kompenserede for det. Sengene er ret hårde, så det skal man være opmærksom på. Vi havde bestilt et værelse med privat pool, hvilket ikke er pengene værd, da poolen er permanent i skyggen og derfor utrolig kold. Book derfor hellere et værelse med adgang til fælles ‘privat pool’.

Second time staying with Santhiya (last time with Koh Phangan), this time with Koh Chang, it is all pleasant and good. Staff particularly are friendly, polite and helpful. I will stay with Santhiya in the near future.

This is our fourth time. The Pool Suites are really worthwhile - well set out with large balcony and of course pool. The beach at Khlong Prou is possibly the nicest beach in Koh Chang where the hotel is. The staff are really excellent - Miss Nui, Miss Mod, and Mr Sadam and Mr Zin - english to thai might be wrong - and many other staff really nice and helpful. Can recommend the offers where you get credit of 1000 baht a day - means you can use as you wish - restaurant in hotel is excellent and 15 per cent off in low season. Food is thai style if you want that. My partner did a course in fruit carving and that was well run and fun. Gym and pools are excellent. Has transfers to town which is not far.

Dejligt hotel, men havde i god tid bestilt 4 huse ved siden af hinanden, og fået bekræftelse på dette. Dette kunne vi så ikke få da vi ankom. Vi fik så i stedet tilbudt rabat på noget mad. Lidt trist når vi gerne ville bo tæt sammen som familie.

On checking in, the staff were lovely and very helpful, however we had to be moved after our first night after to bathroom flooded due to heavy rain and lack of upkeep of the building roof. The second room was dirty, full of ants and in extremely poor condition. The hotel were unable to help, and could only offer a free massage or meal as compensation. Definitely not a 5* resort as advertised, and we left 3 nights early, resulting in us being out of pocket, however I could not stay here as I was left covered in bites and felt the poor upkeep was a health hazard.

Excellent séjour. L'amabilité des personnels est le point fort de cet hôtel. Les chambres sont magnifiquement décorées, spacieuse et très bien équipées. Superbes piscines et l'accès à la mer est parfait. Nombreux transats. Bon petit déjeuner pour cette catégorie d'hôtel. Un peu éloigné des commerces, mais nous le savions, c'est un choix personnel. Dommage que les bords de la route qui mène à l'hôtel soient encombrés de détritus à l'image de la Thaïlande. Un effort serait le bienvenu sur ce point. Remerciements aux équipes, réception, service, ménages, bagagerie... Pour leur amabilité et professionnalisme. Nous reviendrons !

This hotel is amazing! It's very beautiful and unique, the whole place is made out of timber and has this incredible smell to it. The breakfast is great, lots of variety and good coffee. The staff is very helpful and polite. I highly recommend Santhiya Tree and definitely would stay there again if I go back to Koh Chang.

Simpelhen et fantastisk sted! Min datter skulle på hospitalet (mindre infektion) og de sørgede for alt og var klar lige med det samme til at køre os derhen og så skulle vi bare skrive og så hentede de os igen. Mega god service generelt

Ein herausragendes Hotel. Die Anlage ist super schön: es gibt ein Haupthaus mit Fruhstucksraum, Fitness und einem sehr langen (60m) Pool perfekt zum Schwimmen. Die Zimmer im Haupthaus verfügen jeweils über einen Balkon mit je einem kleinen eigenen Pool und Aussicht auf die Berge. In der Anlage gibt es zusätzlich mehrere kleine Villen (alle optisch gestaltet wie Tempel), die sich jeweils zu zweit nochmal kleine private Pools teilen; manche haben sogar einen eigenen größeren Pool. Ebenso gibt es einen Spa Center auf der Anlage. Am Strand gibt es zwei Restaurants, die tagsüber bis abends geöffnet sind und einen weiteren großen sehr schön gestalteten Pool. Das Meer kommt bei Flut bis a das Hotelgelände ran, bei Ebbe ist der Strand ca 10m breit und einige 100m lang. Das Personal ist überaus freundlich, grüßt immer wenn sie einem begegnen und sind sehr bemüht, dass man eine tollen Aufenthalt hat. Wir hatten einen tollen Aufenthalt: aufgrund der Nebensaison (September) war nur ein Restaurant am Strand offen, aber man fühlte sich sehr wohl und konnte die Ruhe, den Strand und das luxuriöse Hotel genießen. Das Fitness ist sehr gut ausgestattet und die beiden großen Pools sind traumhaft. Ausnahmslos weiterzuempfehlen.

Location is great granted you hire a scooter or don't mind paying for taxi's. It's in the middle of the island so it's a short drive north to White Sand Beach or south to some other bars/restaurants/shops but close enough to some great local bites and bars. All guests are equal, meaning this resort isn't tiered, you pay more for the Villas which are bigger and give you direct access to a shared pool. Or you get an amazing hotel room with a personal plunge pool which is perfect thing to come home to after a day of exploring in the South East asian heat. Thai people are famously easy going and friendly, Santhiya staff live up to that reputation and then some. Lastly, its as good as the photos. Book in confidence.

Avslappende ferie, skuffet over att stranden ikke egentlig var en strand - da det er høyvann hele dagen - hvilket betyr att vannet står inn i støttemuren - det er solsenger og sand oppe på støttemuren, men det blir ikke det samme. Ellers helt nydelig avslappende sted, man kan leie scooter på hotellet - som gjør så man enkelt kommer seg rundt på øyen. Middag / Lunsj ble som regel spist utenfor hotellets område for vår del.

The property is a beautiful traditional Thai architecture themed property that is quiet and secluded. It is a little inconvenient in terms of location to other shops and restaurants but the hotel provides shuttle service to the main road. The staff and service is amazing.

This is a truly beautiful property. The wooden panelling and carvings everywhere create a very Zen feel. Beautiful restaurant and bar overlooking a private beach. The room itself was gorgeous with a pool overlooking a river. Superb selection of food at breakfast and great service.

A beautiful, older resort in the low season which could use some refurbishing and additional wait-staff. It's quiet, out of the way and was once gorgeous. Now it needs a coat of varnish. The hot water in the shower works very well, if you can figure out how to manipulate the faucet. The main restaurant needs more servers, so things like silverware aren't forgotten when the food is brought out.The bottom line: it's quiet, and like stepping into a few hundred years ago. I would consider going back, though it's not perfect

Das Santhiya Tree auf Koh Chang ist das schönste Hotel, in dem ich je gewesn bin. Das Gebäude und die Zimmer sind atemberaubend. Die Gestaltung ist bis in die Details perfekt. Es ist absolut sauber. Die Aussichten sind hervorragend. Das Personal ist sehr zuvorkommend. Das Frühstück ist klasse.

Building and architecture is amazing. Pool room is a must. Food was good, but dinner needs more thai dishes even like thai curry or chicken satay. Staff are very good and reception. Service staff in dinner hall thank you for all you did to support food needs and birthday

Most beautiful, exotic and well maintained property we experienced in Thailand! Staff are incredible hospitable and genuinely kind. The views, the pools, the beach, the food….all spectacular! Hope to return someday. Shout out to Eddie, Amam, Lung, Zin for exceptional service. There are a few others that deserve a mention but I cannot remember their names :(
