This is a great hotel with experienced staff at every position. Regardless of their precise job, they were knowledgeable about every aspect of the hotel, the location, and the tourist interests. They were there to make your experience better. The lobby and room decor/arrangement make one feel welcome and cozy immediately. The hotel has all the amenities such as pool, fitness room, spa, fine dining restaurant, casual restaurant, etc. It is located within a 10 minute walk of Lake Louise "village". Internet reception was good.

The rapid river was energizing. The pool was perfect. The room was great. Its built up all around now and as beautiful as the hotel is it had lost some of its charm because of this intensification.

Post Hotel treats you like Royalty. They take care of every detail of your stay from shuttles to anything you need. We asked where a microwave to pop popcorn and they brought one to our room! We asked how to cool the room down and they brought a portable air conditioner. Everyone was extremely nice. You can walk to a small grocery and bakeries to get sandwiches made for your hike. You can eat on property or a few restaurants at other lodges are a walk or short car drive away. The pool is the cleanest I’ve ever seen. There are beautiful fresh flowers everywhere. Check out the library on the second floor and Enjoy tea in the main lobby. The convenience to Lake Louise (leaves every half hour and drops you right in front of the Fairmont) and Lake Moraine (did cost money but the service and convenience was appreciated) using their shuttle is so convenient. I can’t say enough about the service and beautiful facility. The location would be perfect to access the entire area. You are right in the middle of Banff, Emerald Lake, the Ice Highway, and so much more.

The spa was awesome and the massage amazing. The staff was very friendly and helpful, they suggested to us some nice places to visit. The dinner was delicious. They have transportation to Lake Louise(free) and Lake Moraine.

Unbelievably beautiful property. Staff did everything possible to make this an unforgettable visit. Special touches like: tea and coffee all day long, bowl of apples to munch on, 5* dining - Michelin style dining. Superb spa.

Nostalgic, welcoming and cozy entrance. Check in was quick and easy. Key to your room is actually a heavy brass key! Room was clean and beds were comfortable. The jet tub and shower had excellent water pressure and the hot water supply was perfect. In the evening, 2 hotel staff members came to the door with complementary snacks and drinks. The pool and sauna were wonderful! Robes and house slippers were provided in the room. Great view of the mountains and surrounding restaurants were good. Lake Louise is nearby!

No, spa appointments available. You need to rip up your old carpets, especially our room. Stains on the carpet, febreeze horrible smell. Not clean at all.

Clean and spacious hotel room with everything we needed for our stay. The pool and jacuzzi were great too and not busy at all. Only thing missing was a fridge in the room. All the staff on reception and in the entrance were extremely friendly and greeted you everytime you walked past. We would stay here again if returning to Lake Louise.

Schon ein wenig in die Jahre gekommen, aber trotzdem sehr gut gepflegt und super sauber. Das Essen im Restaurant ist Fantastisch. Der Service beim Abendessen war etwas langsam weil parallel noch eine Hochzeit bedient werden musste. Ein Fehler beim Frühstück wurde sehr professionell gelöst. Die Bar mit Kamin ist im Winter sehr gemütlich.

We enjoyed the warm cosy atmosphere of this hotel. The room was clean and comfortable. We also enjoyed the spa. The staff were friendly. However, we feel that the breakfast menu could be better. The continental offerings were particularly disappointing. The prices were also very high ($90 for a cooked breakfast and coffee for 2).

THE GOOD: The hotel has a warm woodsy lodge feel to it. Plenty of free parking. Walking distance to a few stores and restaurants. Large, handy room. The hotel and grounds are very clean. THE SO-SO: The hotel is a bit dated and is showing some wear and tear. There is a noisy train that goes by often. Staff did their job, but were not overly helpful. No AC in the room (it was hot and stuffy in the room during our summer visit).

Really enjoyed the stay at post with good, stay, clean room. One suggestion is they make the tv easier to operate. After 20 minutes trying just gave up on this.

Nice hotel but a few setbacks because of the age. Plumbing is very noisy. The hotel is wood framed and the guests above you are clearly heard when walking around. We were very surprised to be woken up around 6am when the upstairs neighbors woke and were on their way out. Much of this the hotel cannot control because of the age and construction type.

We didn't take advantage of everything the Post Hotel offered. It was beautiful. My only complaints/comments was that there was no mini-fridge in the room and the balcony overlooked the parking lot. Otherwise, it is a beautiful, elegant hotel.

This is a lovely hotel with old world charm. Our room was a bit on the small side but very cozy with a working fireplace. The staff we encountered throughtout our one night stay were excellent. You feel pampered the minute you walk in the door. We had dinner in the lovely dining room. It's fine dining and it was amazing!

C’est un hôtel avec un charme désuet où il manque plusieurs commodités pour un voyageur. Pas de prise de courant pour brancher nos appareils électroniques. Le bain tourbillon n’est plus au goût du jour et rend la douche très dangereuse. L’endroit est sombre et mal éclairé et la literie ordinaire. Il n’y a pas d’air climatisé. De plus le train passe juste derrière et fait un bruit infernal!!! Vraiment beaucoup trop cher pour le confort donné.

We asked how to cool the room down and they brought a portable air conditioner. Everyone was extremely nice. You can walk to a small grocery and bakeries to get sandwiches made for your hike. You can eat on property or a few restaurants at other lodges are a walk or short car drive away. The pool is the cleanest I’ve ever seen. There are beautiful fresh flowers everywhere. Check out the library on the second floor and Enjoy tea in the main lobby. The convenience to Lake Louise (leaves every half hour and drops you right in front of the Fairmont) and Lake Moraine (did cost money but the service and convenience was appreciated) using their shuttle is so convenient. I can’t say enough about the service and beautiful facility. The location would be perfect to access the entire area. You are right in the middle of Banff, Emerald Lake, the Ice Highway, and so much more.

From the moment you drive into the parking lot you are greeted with the most friendly and helpful staff. The rooms are amazing, the hotel is well kept and the restaurant was incredible! We cannot wait to go back. Huge shout out to Rhys, he was so helpful and professional.

Dining room food and service was excellent, the bellman was very helpful. The front desk needs help. How do you give keys to a room that already has guests in it? Also why are there still physical keys? haven't seen that in 20 years. Still a great location and nice property on the river.

This is a great hotel with experienced staff at every position. Regardless of their precise job, they were knowledgeable about every aspect of the hotel, the location, and the tourist interests. They were there to make your experience better. The lobby and room decor/arrangement make one feel welcome and cozy immediately. The hotel has all the amenities such as pool, fitness room, spa, fine dining restaurant, casual restaurant, etc. It is located within a 10 minute walk of Lake Louise "village". Internet reception was good.

The rapid river was energizing. The pool was perfect. The room was great. Its built up all around now and as beautiful as the hotel is it had lost some of its charm because of this intensification.

The front of the hotel is adjacent to a heavily traveled rail line. We were in the front of the hotel. The room was very hot and stuffy. We had to open the windows and we heard every single train that went by all night long.

THE GOOD: The hotel has a warm woodsy lodge feel to it. Plenty of free parking. Walking distance to a few stores and restaurants. Large, handy room. The hotel and grounds are very clean. THE SO-SO: The hotel is a bit dated and is showing some wear and tear. There is a noisy train that goes by often. Staff did their job, but were not overly helpful. No AC in the room (it was hot and stuffy in the room during our summer visit).

C’est un hôtel avec un charme désuet où il manque plusieurs commodités pour un voyageur. Pas de prise de courant pour brancher nos appareils électroniques. Le bain tourbillon n’est plus au goût du jour et rend la douche très dangereuse. L’endroit est sombre et mal éclairé et la literie ordinaire. Il n’y a pas d’air climatisé. De plus le train passe juste derrière et fait un bruit infernal!!! Vraiment beaucoup trop cher pour le confort donné.

Liked courteous staff, did not like how overpriced this was. Our fellow delegates in similar or better hotels around the property paid over $400.00 less for the same number of days and had free breakfast included in the package. We did not have that. Not many dining options either. Not exactly a 4-star property as they advertise themselves to be.

This staff of this hotel was so attentive and friendly. We came for the snow and there is a shuttle to Lake Louise which made it easier than driving up to the hill. The restaurant was amazing. Will be back!

The Post Inn is a wonderful, hospitable place to stay at Lake Louise. The staff and service are excellent. Super friendly, professional, and helpful. It is surprising with the wonderful food served that they serve terrible coffee. The mattress in our room needed replacement and the bed linens are not great. Overall a very nice place to stay. The staff and service are fantastic.

Schon ein wenig in die Jahre gekommen, aber trotzdem sehr gut gepflegt und super sauber. Das Essen im Restaurant ist Fantastisch. Der Service beim Abendessen war etwas langsam weil parallel noch eine Hochzeit bedient werden musste. Ein Fehler beim Frühstück wurde sehr professionell gelöst. Die Bar mit Kamin ist im Winter sehr gemütlich.

We enjoyed the warm cosy atmosphere of this hotel. The room was clean and comfortable. We also enjoyed the spa. The staff were friendly. However, we feel that the breakfast menu could be better. The continental offerings were particularly disappointing. The prices were also very high ($90 for a cooked breakfast and coffee for 2).

Absolutely loved this hotel. The staff are so friendly and helpful. Love the design and the hotel was very clean. We ate dinner at the pub and the food was very delicious. Late drinks in the lounge with a wood burning fireplace and amazing cocktails. I highly recommend staying here. One of my favourite stays.

Loved the afternoon tea service in the lobby. Frustrated with dining options at hotel. Couldn't get a reservation at the restaurant and the second dining option was closed for the two nights we were there. Had to leave property to eat. Not pleased with that considering the price of the room. They need to give priority to their guests.

I was extremely impressed with the Post Hotel. The entrance lobby is beautiful in a historic vacation lodge sort of way. The rooms are very large with excellent beds. They also had a TV and refrigerator. No AC but they did provide fans in each room. Almost all of them seem to have balconies with mountainside views. There is lots of parking. One very nice benefit of staying here is the free hiker shuttles which run all day every half hour. Lake Louise is incredibly crowded and almost impossible to park at, so these shuttles are invaluable if you want a stress free visit. The staff at the hotel was excellent, and they provided many nice touches like a fruit basket in our room and staff stopped by each evening to offer water bottles and a tasty treat from the pastry chef. The hotel has an excellent gym, large indoor pool, sauna, and hot tub. It’s a very each walk from the property across a small pedestrian bridge to the nearby Samson Mall where you can find a grocery store and a few small cafes and bakeries. The property was beautiful and really felt relaxing to stay there.
