A great hotel, very close to the railway station and the centre of Leicester with very good parking facilities. The staff were very helpful and the breakfast was certainly worth pre booking, great value. All in all I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend and to stay here again.

Wonderful hotel in a nice location. The breakfast could be better, and a bit annoying that you could not fill your own plate in the buffet. The wifi in our room was unusable, but fine in other parts of the hotel. Lots of good dinner options nearby.

I stayed on business for 2nights ( we used the conference facilities which are excellent) The main thing of note was the staff who were without exception excellent. From checking to the night porter all went the extra mile. Of particular note was a freshly cooked breakfast.

Proper old school traditional hotel, stopped here previously as it is a refreshing change from the chain hubs/express hotels. Great reception staff, warm hotel and amazing shower, free parking a big bonus and easy beautiful walk into town.

The Belmont is a very nice stay and very central in Leicester. Convenient from the train station and also with its own (free!) parking. The parking was very busy on the evening I arrived and yet there was still enough space. I stayed for one night after my office Christmas party. Access to the hotel is simple during the night (I re-entered around 1am). Staff were very courteous. The room was comfortable and spacious. I had breakfast included and it was quite tasty the next day, and didn't close too early (open until 10:45). Furthermore, the staff went above and beyond when I forgot a book in my room after I had checked out. They kept it safe and made sure I was able to get it back when I dropped by the next day!

I was only briefly in the hotel and didn't use any services apart from sleeping in the room, so not much to say. However, everything was good, clean, etc. The only thing I would say is that the hotel refers to parking, but it is incredibly limited and this should be mentioned in the details. There was room for about 5 cars in a road barely wide enough for two large cars to pass. This should be made clear. If, like me, you are hoping to park up quickly and get out. this is important information.

Easy to locate close to the city centre. Car park is a little awkward, but there is an overflow which had more room. Received a very warm welcome at reception with good instructions. It was a bit of a maze to find our room. This hotel has been expanded over the years so there are lots of odd little stairs and corridors. All adds to the quaintness. Our room was very spacious, clean with a good sized bathroom. Wifi was a bit hit and miss, but connected ok in the end. We had dinner at the hotel restaurant. Portions were large and the fish and chips were very tasty. Location is great for De Montford Hall which is only a 10 minute walk away. We had drinks at the bar before going back to our rooms. The bar closes at 11 pm which seems early, but this is now common in a lot of hotels. The bed was huge and very cosy. We didn't notice any noise during the night. Breakfast has both a hot and cold buffet selection along with cooked to order choices. I went for the eggs benedict which was very good. We had a very enjoyable stay and will be happy to return for any future concerts at De Montford Hall.

Friendly welcome. The room was clean and fresh and had everything you expect. The bar service is efficient. We had a snack of soup/sandwich. Both were excellent. Breakfast is varied and good quality. We would recommend time and time again.

Hotel very central, only stayed one night for the theatre. Very comfortable, great breakfast, bed lovely and comfy Window panes need to be deep cleaned and room too hot for me but I managed to turn the radiator off.

Our stay overnight at the Belmont was excellent. Room was spacious and spotlessly clean. Tea/coffee in room. Matress was new and comfortable for those who like a firm mattress. Check in was quick and we were told of breakfast times and where it would be served. Breakfast was excellent. Plenty of cereals, toast and croissants. Full english breakfast and items like Eggs benedict were freshly cooked for you. Cannot fault the Belmont and staff were friendly and knowledgeable. We will return

From check-in to check-out The Belmont was exemplary. Hemant apologised for keeping me waiting 2 seconds at check-in which set the tone. Room was spotless. My evening meal was flawless. Bed was extremely comfortable and external noise was minimal. Will definitely stay again next time in Leicester.

We have stayed here a number of times before, and never had any problems, but were left disappointed by the room given on this occasion. The bathroom radiator not working, so the room was freezing cold. Also the roller blind in there was covered in mould. Very off putting.

Check in was nice and easy and staff were friendly and pleasant. Room was dusty, not the end of the world and sheets were clean, but the room was very dusty. Tv was very very outdated and could only get three channels, not the end of the world as I could watch Netflix. Except I couldn’t as the Wi-Fi is the worst Wi-Fi I have experienced in a hotel room, to the point sending emails and working in the morning before setting off was a problem. I’ll have a nice relaxing bath instead, bath plug was leaking and required topping the bath up every 3 minutes. Staff were all great but room was dusty, dated and the Wi-Fi was shocking. Hotel in serious need of a spruce up.

Fantastic hotel and superb value for money. The room allocated to me was spacious and quiet. Breakfast also very good. The only niggling point was the warmth of the room at night - the desk fan helped but the room still felt a bit warm to sleep in. Appreciate not an easy fix!

We had a wonderful stay! The location is lovely, and the reception service was excellent. Olivia was especially helpful — she assisted us warmly and even provided an upgrade, which made our experience even better. Highly recommend!

My best friend and I had an amazing stay at the Belmont Hotel. The staff were incredibly friendly, helpful, and kind. Checking in and out was quick and easy. We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to our wonderful concierge, the amazing housekeepers, and all the other staff members! We have stayed at The Belmont many times in the past and always have a wonderful stay from the greet on arrival at check in right to check out - however on this occasion I was disappointed upon my arrival at approx 1:50pm. I asked the man on Reception if our room was possibly ready ( I am aware check in is 3pm) - on all of our previous stays we have always been lucky enough to be allowed in our room 2ish when we arrive in Leicester. The tone of the comment I received about 3pm check in made me feel uncomfortable. We did get into the room early but felt his approach could have been better. Our room 222 did have an odd smell (never experienced a smell in room before). I am usually full of praise for The Belmont- we love our stays here but on this occasion did feel a little disappointed.

From check-in to check-out The Belmont was exemplary. Hemant apologised for keeping me waiting 2 seconds at check-in which set the tone. Room was spotless. My evening meal was flawless. Bed was extremely comfortable and external noise was minimal. Will definitely stay again next time in Leicester.

I stayed on business for 2nights ( we used the conference facilities which are excellent) The main thing of note was the staff who were without exception excellent. From checking to the night porter all went the extra mile. Of particular note was a freshly cooked breakfast.

The room was lovely, don’t like the reuse your towel policy. Was inform when asked that breakfast would be until 10.30am so arranged to meet at 9.30 colleague had to take a call before he sat down. I was then told I would need to finish up as breakfast finishes at 10am as there was a function straight after. I explained what we had been told to no real response or apology. On checkout I witnessed the staff sitting enjoying breakfast no function. I complained at reception but no real apology or offer to refund the missed breakfast just “you shouldn’t have been told that” Very poor service

We loved the unique layout of the property, some of the areas were a little jaded. This hotels saving grace was the staff. They were all so helpful and friendly. A very special thank you to Betty who took care of our breakfast and made sure that my daughter in law and my own food was gluten free. Also David and Luke went over and above to take care of us.

Room was consistently cleaned to a very high standard. I asked for a wake up call every day for the week and think it only came 3 times but I didn’t chase it up as it wasn’t super necessary for me. Other than that it was a lovely stay, very nice staff especially Kirsty.

A great hotel, very close to the railway station and the centre of Leicester with very good parking facilities. The staff were very helpful and the breakfast was certainly worth pre booking, great value. All in all I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend and to stay here again.

Excellent location on the pedestrianised New Walk leading into the City Centre (15 mins) and just a 5 minute walk from the station. Superb, comfortable, ensuite room. Friendly, helpful staff. Would not hesitate to book again on any subsequent visit to the area. Thank you!

Great location. About 10 minutes walk from train station. Lots of restaurants within walking distance. An easy walk to the city centre, about 15 minutes or so. The museum is just round the corner. Breakfast was good. Complimentary water provided. Lovely.

Easy to locate close to the city centre. Car park is a little awkward, but there is an overflow which had more room. Received a very warm welcome at reception with good instructions. It was a bit of a maze to find our room. This hotel has been expanded over the years so there are lots of odd little stairs and corridors. All adds to the quaintness. Our room was very spacious, clean with a good sized bathroom. Wifi was a bit hit and miss, but connected ok in the end. We had dinner at the hotel restaurant. Portions were large and the fish and chips were very tasty. Location is great for De Montford Hall which is only a 10 minute walk away. We had drinks at the bar before going back to our rooms. The bar closes at 11 pm which seems early, but this is now common in a lot of hotels. The bed was huge and very cosy. We didn't notice any noise during the night. Breakfast has both a hot and cold buffet selection along with cooked to order choices. I went for the eggs benedict which was very good. We had a very enjoyable stay and will be happy to return for any future concerts at De Montford Hall.

Nice hotel breakfast had plenty of options and was good room was plenty big enough only real downside was our room must have been to far away from the WiFi point because it wouldn’t connect but that was the only downside. We would definitely stay there again

Wonderful hotel in a nice location. The breakfast could be better, and a bit annoying that you could not fill your own plate in the buffet. The wifi in our room was unusable, but fine in other parts of the hotel. Lots of good dinner options nearby.

Muy contentos con el hotel. Viajamos en familia y tuvimos la suerte de alojarnos en la habitación diseñada por el national space center con la universidad de Leicester. Es una pasada de habitación con decoración de la galaxia, incluso una constelación en el techo con luces led y una habitación separada con una puerta corredera para los niños que era una nave espacial. Desayuno incluido de buena calidad.

The staff could not have been more pleasant and helpful. Unfortunately the hotel itself wasn't as expected. It's quite an old building with no sound insulation between rooms or the corridors. The floors creak loudly as people move around on your floor and above, and I was woken up by the noise of loud vomiting during the night from the bathroom of the neighbouring room. You could hear everything from the bathroom nextdoor. The ceilings are very high, and the bathroom ceiling was entirely covered in mould (grey with black spots everywhere). Photos attached. Had I noticed this before going to bed on the evening of my arrival I would not have stayed. Unfortunately I only noticed it the next morning when looking up at the ceiling. By that point, it was too late to make other arrangements. Reception were very apologetic, but it's simply not good enough. Sadly, I would not stay here again, or recommend that anyone else does.

Lovely quiet location overlooking pedestrianised New Walk and very central, close to town and university. Very efficient and helpful staff. Room very comfortable and well appointed and whole building well adapted from original row of 19th century houses. Good onsite parking too. Looking forward to next stay.
