Good quality in terms of price. Rooms simple but everything you need in there. Staff seemed quite slow and unresponsive. Car park was £8 a day which was annoying but not the end of the world. Breakfast was nice and so was restaurant. Exactly what you need for somewhere to crash after a busy day.

The property is well placed for convenient rail access and car parking to enable travelling around. The staff were very pleasant. The one drawback was no safe in the room.

It is about a 15 minute walk from barking station (less if you know the way). The room was quiet and in general it was a very relaxing stay. Only issue was that the room keys tend to stop working (the lady at reception said this happens if you put it in your pocket with your phone).

A nice reception hall, friendly staff. You can get a drink at the bar or a hot drink at any time. The restaurant is open from 6pm. Check in is from 3pm but check out is 12noon but can be extended to 5pm for £20 extra. The only thing i thought unsafe is a small step entering the room and getting out of the washroom which could be overlooked and cause one to stumble.

Room was a reasonable size, with tea and coffee available. Shower and toilet ensuite. Hairdryer and towels provided. Sofa and desk. Lighting was good and blackout curtains, which is great. Lovely reception area and the eating area looked inviting but i didn’t have time to try that. They serve buffet style breakfast as well apparently. Parking is gated, so if you go in late the gates are locked and you need to use the intercom. Bed was comfortable with a mattress protector on. 1 pillow for each person on dble bed. I take my own, so this isn't an issue. I asked for a quiet room on ground floor and they did me proud on that, which is fantastic. Thank you 😀 Was a shame it hadn't been cleaned properly from previous occupants. Dirty sink, hair on the toilet and under the bed and down the side, was hair and what looked like dandruff. Saving grace, everything else was ok. I was on a 7 hour turn around, so didn't have the time to go and speak to reception. Im sure theyd have moved me . But i needed sleep more than getting it sorted. I would stay here again, i would hope the room would be cleaned more thoroughly or i was in a position to get it rectified

The bathroom was like a little portacabin with a built in shower, the sink stunk of sewage as soon as the water was running for more than 10 seconds. Bed was fairly comfortable. Every time I went out of the hotel to go shop or get some fresh air upon arriving at my room the keycards never worked so had to go back downstairs to reset the keys and this was every time I left. The lady that did breakfast was amazing. Certain receptionists were really nice but then there was the one doing early shift who seemed a bit clueless.

Great hotel with realy clean spacious rooms and a good powerful shower and a large TV mounted on the wall Reception was nice and clean and welcomed by Victoria who was very pleasant and also knowledgable about surrounding area and taxi and local transport The evening staff Bhagi and Carolina were also great and friendly The buffet breakfast had a decent selection of cold meats cheeses , cereals ,breads for toasting and also a hot plate with a great selection of hot items bacon eggs sausage etc Sanju guided me through the items and showed me how the coffee machine worked I had a great night sleep and recommend staying here if your in or around London it’s 10 mins from barking tube station I will definately stay here again . Thank you

The Ibis London Barking was more like a budget hotel. The room was not equipped in any of the basic necessitates and the room was dingy, boring, outdated and looked more like a student dorm. The corridors smelt like something had burnt and possibly had damp. The breakfast was fine, but not a lot of variety. The overall experience was poor to say the least and reading up on the differences between all of the 3 types of Ibis hotels, I will not ever consider booking at an Ibis again.

Service and staff were fairly good; very helpful on check in . However the hotel itself seems old , shower door paint was chipped , carpet could do with vacuuming and felt threadbare. Bed clean and smelled fresh . Tv options very dated . Overall it’s good and safe for the price and staff was friendly.

Booked a family room with double bed and a single bed, arrived into the hotel enter the room with a SOFA single bed, duvet was wet, poor service and very rude staff. Very noisy unable to sleep the staff didn't tell other customers off to keep volume down after midnight. When we requested for a dry and clean duvet the staff expected us as paying customers to put the bedding in. Not happy never returning to this OBIS hotel been to better IBIS hotels with same star rating and better staffing.

The room was almost exactly what you would expect from an affordable hotel chain: the room had everything we needed and the bed was very comfortable. The bathroom feels like something from a glamping experience and like it was almost pasted into the room as an afterthought: it's like a pod of fibreglass or something such material - not just the shower, the whole bathroom! It functions as needed though and the only real issue we had was the basin not draining properly. Staff there were very friendly and happy to help. Perfect hotel for a day or two trip, as long as you're not having to spend too much time in the hotel. The only other thing I didn't like was that there are two hotels of the same name, on the same street, with the same postcode, but separated by a couple hundred metres, so we ended up going to the wrong one (the Express version) first. It's just a bit confusing.

I stayed with my daughter and granddaughter for 2 nights. Staff were excellent, very helpful and very polite. Wasn't much room to move in the room but it had everything we needed for our short stay. Thank you for making our visit enjoyable.

What a nightmare. We had booked well in advance so as to be close to London City Airport. We booked a family room so we could do the final sorting out of our luggage. We arrived at 23:00 to be told the hotel was overbooked and that we would have to leave our bags and go to the budget hotel nearby. We had no other option but to accept. When we complained and asked, via hotels.com, to have at least the price difference refunded and some token compensation we were rebuffed and told the case was closed. What terrible customer service!!! The bright spot was that Alec, the poor man on duty, was very polite and extremely helpful.

What a nightmare. We had booked well in advance so as to be close to London City Airport. We booked a family room so we could do the final sorting out of our luggage. We arrived at 23:00 to be told the hotel was overbooked and that we would have to leave our bags and go to the budget hotel nearby. We had no other option but to accept. I am a regular customer at this hotel the service i recieved from the black lady with the glasses was absolutely horrendous. I have showed her my booking and my ID yet she did not believe i had made a booking even though i showed her confirmation even got to the point where she told me to email my confirmation booking to her i am a member and have paid some serious money to this hotel she lacks customer services

I stayed with my daughter and granddaughter for 2 nights. Staff were excellent, very helpful and very polite. Wasn't much room to move in the room but it had everything we needed for our short stay. Thank you for making our visit enjoyable.

Hotel and staff were excellent and everything was clean and quiet. Good price for it. Would be nice to have a dinner option in future especially vegan options as there were none that we saw. Very convenient location for food stores and the gym. Only down side would be the area as it doesn't feel very safe but the hotel itself is recommended.

It is about a 15 minute walk from barking station (less if you know the way). The room was quiet and in general it was a very relaxing stay. Only issue was that the room keys tend to stop working (the lady at reception said this happens if you put it in your pocket with your phone).

The room was almost exactly what you would expect from an affordable hotel chain: the room had everything we needed and the bed was very comfortable. The bathroom feels like something from a glamping experience and like it was almost pasted into the room as an afterthought: it's like a pod of fibreglass or something such material - not just the shower, the whole bathroom! It functions as needed though and the only real issue we had was the basin not draining properly. Staff there were very friendly and happy to help. Perfect hotel for a day or two trip, as long as you're not having to spend too much time in the hotel. The only other thing I didn't like was that there are two hotels of the same name, on the same street, with the same postcode, but separated by a couple hundred metres, so we ended up going to the wrong one (the Express version) first. It's just a bit confusing.

Great hotel with realy clean spacious rooms and a good powerful shower and a large TV mounted on the wall Reception was nice and clean and welcomed by Victoria who was very pleasant and also knowledgable about surrounding area and taxi and local transport The evening staff Bhagi and Carolina were also great and friendly The buffet breakfast had a decent selection of cold meats cheeses , cereals ,breads for toasting and also a hot plate with a great selection of hot items bacon eggs sausage etc Sanju guided me through the items and showed me how the coffee machine worked I had a great night sleep and recommend staying here if your in or around London it’s 10 mins from barking tube station I will definately stay here again . Thank you

Restaurant service was awful. I paid for Lamb around 8 pounds and they had none so I had a pie 5 pounds cheaper not even an offer of a refund for the difference. The food came it was shocking at best. Microwave food lump of mash potato solid and cold. Girl on reception was covering the bar so waiting to get served while people was checking in.

It was an average hotel. We had payed for breakfast however they stopped bringing more food out at half 9 when it was meant to be 11. So unless you are full up from a small portion of eggs, 2 bacon rashes and a piece of bread and a sausage you might need to go earlier.

Room was clean, but a little tired being honest. Love the Ibis pod bathroom design. Bed and pillows I found extremely comfortable and had the best nights sleep I’d had in ages! Check in woman was very friendly and efficient. Worst thing was poor quality sausages in the breakfast selection - always a pet hate of mine. Apart from that all good 👍

Booked for a one night stay, as we were attending a music event on Silverworks Island. Staff at the hotel were wonderful and all members of the team that we interacted with, were extremely helpful. We had to request help in getting the wall-mounted fan unit running (please note that this hotel does not have air conditioning, just a wall-mounted fan/heater) an additional pillow, and a portable fan to use in addition to the fan unit. Thank you to the staff for being so lovely and helping us out; it was massively appreciated! ☺️ If you’re not staying in a heatwave, and therefore the lack of air conditioning does not affect you, I’d whole heartedly recommend this hotel. The lift is a little tired and could do with being replaced (I know this is going to be very expensive, but I’m mentioning this for people of whom might be unable to use the stairs). As I mentioned above, the staff were wonderful and ultimately that is why I’ve given 4 stars throughout. There is a car park on site (not free of charge but this is fine and was expected) which was a huge plus too, difficult to find in London! We were given a discount code for the car park, which reduced it from £18.00 overnight, to £12.00.
