Rushmore Hotel

Excellent location -- 100 meters from Earl's Court Underground station -- lots of dining all around. Downers are: No lift -- no hairdryer -- no in room safe and small rooms. Extra Positives are: Great TV channels, 24 hour front desk, very clean and functional bathroom and good value for money.

It was clean and convenient. Hallways were worn and staircase was crooked. No elevator.

Love the service and convenience of the location nestled in a cute community. Our room was on the 4th floor with no elevators and narrow staircases, just a forewarning to others. We arrived on a hot day, so no A/C and fans provided weren't as powerful.

As our stay was only one night we could not really judge everything. It was good overall except the small coffee lounge that they advertised was being refurbished. There were plenty of eating and drinking places within fifty yards of the hotel and Earls Court tube station again about 50-60 yards of the hotel.

We've stayed at the Rushmore Hotel several times. We usually stay for at least one week. The staff is amazing! The price is reasonable and location (close to Earl's Court tube station) is excellent. Unfortunately, the breakfast service is no longer offered and our room could have used a small fridge. We were on the top floor. It's a lot of steep steps (no elevator), but it was quiet because there seem to be only two guest rooms on that floor. It was like having our own small London flat. Despite some shortcomings we would be happy to return!

There is no elevator and no AC.

Very convenient fr Earls Court tube station for onward journey to Central London. Lots of eateries and shops close by. Hotel has 24 hour reception and friendly and helpful staff. Be aware there is no lift in the property and lots of stairs. Our room (40) was right at the top on the 4th floor which only had sky lights and was large as it was a family room. Very handy to get the tube to Wimbledon.

Excellent location and close to Earl’s Court underground, convenient location on Piccadilly line! However room was old and worn, bathroom shower mouldy in ceiling and on the last day of 5th day my husband saw a cockroach when he got up in the dark and turned on his cell phone light. Bed sheets were clean but the bed was pretty worn and springs were pokey. Staff were friendly at front desk. I get it’s an old building and pests are common but the regular maintenance on the old building isn’t being kept up.

Stayed for 2 nights. Do not recommend staying here unless you don't care about cleanliness and are on a tight budget. Pros: - Location is great. Very close to the Earl's Court Station. - Decent size room for 1 person. Cons: The room was simply dirty from the moment I first got there. I can tell that the toilet and sink were not cleaned from the previous guests. The sink didn't even drain properly as I would brush my teeth and have to wait a few minutes for the sink to drain before I could wash my face. The shower head was nasty and old. The toilet was dirty and had stains in it. Since I stayed for two nights, the housekeeper did enter and leave new towels so I know that they were in the room but did not care enough to actually clean the bathroom. Also, the bed had lots of hairs from previous guests so I wouldn't be surprised if the sheets weren't even changed between guests. This is out of their control as it's an old building, but it also didn't help that the walls are paper thin and I could hear my neighbors as if I was in the same room as them.

DO NOT STAY HERE!This hotel would have been great as it’s in a good neighbourhood and close to the train system, however they have MICE or RATS.A package of food that wasn’t open and had individually wrapped candies had a hole chewed in the side and candies chewed up by a mouse or rat. When I told the front desk staff while checking out she seemed unfazed by this and didn’t apologize or seem concerned. She asked if I saw the mouse which made it apparent that they know of the issue but don’t care. I think it’s disgusting to pay over $300 for 2 nights accommodation and to stay somewhere with a rodent problem and not do anything about it. DO NOT STAY HERE! Find somewhere else. I hate that I stayed here and am anxious knowing they have mice and worried what other animal/insect problems they probably have.

Dirty Room

When my partner and I arrived, our sheets looked like they had been slept in already. There were hairs and stains on the sheets that were obviously new. Staff was understanding and provided (only half of) of a set new sheets, but this shouldn't have happened in the first place. The showers in the small double rooms are also very very small, my partner had to lean out of the door to even attempt to shower. Do not go for this room if you are not a very petite person.The rooms are dated like other reviews have mentioned, but normally I would consider that charming. The tv was hung crooked and did not work well.

Staff friendly on check in and departure. Ideal location for us as only staying one night. The room was rough around the edges and looking tired. Unfortunately the bedding didn’t look like it had been changed from the previous occupier as there were hairs on the duvet so not a great impression.

Nice clean room

The hotel is nice and clean even though a little dated. Most of the furniture was well worn and the bathroom can do with a face lift. Apart from that, it is nice and local to the busy Earl’s Court area and on a minutes walk to the tube. Staff were nice and friendly and always available if needed. Will definitely stay here again.

Great location with the tube station just around the corner. Staff were friendly and helpful. Bed clean and comfortable. Window in the room would not close and outside hinge was hanging off. Black mildew all around the window. Curtain pole also hanging off wall. Bathroom in need of upgrade. Silicone poorly applied and looked dirty. Shower head so clogged up we did not use it.

Outdated, doesn’t look like the pictures. It’s rated 3 stars but in my opinion should be 2 stars. The floors are squeaky, shower space is very reduced, carpet worn out, it definitely needs renovations to reach 3 stars

Great staff, very friendly welcome and smooth check in. Amazing location for the tube, 2m walk if that. Rooms are a bit dated and it was possibly the smallest shower I’ve ever been in but for the price I felt it was fine and absolutely nothing worth complaining about. Comfy bed and athe room had all the other little things you need. Would stay again if I needed a quick room in London for a night.

This was a last minute booking, so it was hard to find something for same day in London under £200 a night. Which is wild but true. So we felt lucky to get this hotel. Staff here are really nice, and let us look at two rooms and pick the one we preferred. Really excellent people. The hotel is simple but solid for the price, and for a last minute booking the price was totally fair. The room was a decent size and had a view of the street, the windows opened to let in a lovely breeze. It was safe the beds were comfy and clean, so again all good for what I paid last minute. Just Some things to be aware of, WiFi drops in and out which is tough for work, but it was free and the same can’t be said for a lot of other hotels in London even the more costly ones. Just an idea but maybe a faster more stable option that you can upgrade and pay for would be good. Some other things to be consider is there’s no shampoo or conditioner so come prepared. They have hairdryers but you have to ask for them but the toughest part for me was It was a bit noisy, but to be clear I am a VERY light sleeper and my son slept through the night, with no issues. Overall it’s a simple hotel and room but you’re not paying fancy prices & the location is excellent. The main plus though is the team who are so nice and friendly which goes a HUGE way to giving you a wonderful experience.

The room was really too small for two people. There's no way that was a double bed - perhaps it was a large twin. We are not large people but we barely fit in the shower, although the water pressure was excellent. The hotel is quaint and it's in a good neighborhood but it looks much better from the outside than on the inside.

Nice location close to Earl’s Court Tube stop. Lots of dining and shopping for needs close by and easy to walk into nice neighborhood and beyond. Room we had does not have air conditioning which would have made things nicer. Also no room fridge.

The hotel is being refurbished so the room was new. The location was great.

Rooms are tiny - bathroom particularly so. Staff were noisy during the night. Location was good (v close to Earls Court tube station).

Great location, but the bed and pillows were terrible. Probably the hardest bed I have ever slept on!

My room was at the front of the hotel with no double glazing so noise disturbed my sleep. Bathroom was reminiscent of a cruise cabin. Staff very helpful and friendly.

So we were put in room 20 when we arrived which are the pictures provided and it was disgusting, the mattress was so old the springs were trying to escape from the sides, the shower head was covered in lime scale and the bathroom in general was showing age as was the room entirely as well as the state of the hotel. We complained and the staff were great and moved us to room 5 which had been refurbished. This was much nicer, newer and cleaner. However the shower was tiny for my 6.2ft frame, I've included a photo to show how small it is. I had to keep the doors open just so I could move my arms to clean myself. The main bonus was it was a 2 mins walk to earls court underground.

Fabulous location, on the tube line direct from Heathrow. Lift access at Earls Court station also. So close to tube but hotel quiet. Amazing restaurants and good food options. Very very convenient. Staff super friendly and helpful. Let us check in early. Only slight negative is the mould on the ceiling in the bathroom,( the rest of the room is super clean snd serviced daily) The room was small but had everything we needed. Thanks so much

Check in was a terrible experience. We had to pay for an extra night that we had cancelled in time. And the receptionist was very rude about it aswell. Rooms was so small you had your bed table at your feet. Showers was so small it that they were to clostrophobic to even try for me. My husband did though and when he needed new towel the just took the old one he had put on the floor and hung it back up. We saw signs of stans there could be bed bugs so that really concerned us. The sofa was so small you satt on the floor. Also there would have been nice to have a shoehorn. However bed was soft and we liked that we got the wooden floor i asked for. Night straff was helpful and gave me bottle water when i needed it. Location so close to supway was great. I will rather choose another hotel next time though! And warning to other guest, check all you cancellations directly with the hotel otherwise they will charged you. And know that they will reserve money for your first night stay on your card a long time after you have paid and lived with the hotel. Be aware of that.

Preeti was able to assist with a very difficult issue. The two young men that work at the front desk were also execptional. My apologies, I did not get their names.

The room was inadequately soundproofed from the one next door. A couple could be heard talking literally all night long from the behind the partition. I tried to use the online check-in but, despite registering myself as British, I was asked to upload photos of identity documents. I therefore abandoned the online check-in. When I arrived at the hotel at around 11pm, with my young child following a concert, the person who checked us in was utterly charmless and very brusque. I don’t think he smiled once. Even taking into account the language / cultural barrier, and the fact I may have been dealing with a night porter, it was - very brusque and rude check-in. He was insistent that I provided identity documents. When I asked whether this really applied to British nationals he grunted very firmly in the affirmative.

The staffs were very helpful and courteous. They assisted us with how to get around the area. Also let us know what attractions that are in the neighborhood. They also helped us with the routing.

Very flexible hotel open to last-minute bookings and very friendly and helpful staff.

We accidentally made a double booking for a 3 night stay. Expedia was willing to do refund but hotel management never responded to any e-mails. The extra room was rented out for 2 of the 3 nights we were there. I’m deeply disappointed that management never responded.

We needed a last minute hotel in a bind and we were at the hotel within a couple hours of making this reservation. Our room was already ready before check in and they let us check in early for free. The front desk was so kind and you could not beat the service or convenience for the price of this room!

Just want to mention how friendly those staffs were. And the location was excellent, lots of restaurants nearby. You can reach the tube station in less than a minute, will definitely book again when I visit the city next time.

The property was just a two minute walk from Earls Court Underground Station and from most pubs and restaurants in the area. A very bustling area. We have stayed there on numerous occasions whilst attending the Cinch Tennis Championships at the Queens Club and would have no hesitation in re-booking in the future.

The hotel was easy to find and in a great location, around the corner from Earl's Court Tube station, with plenty of pubs and eateries on the doorstep. Staff were welcoming, friendly and helpful - recommending a pub to eat at nearby. The room was compact, but had what we needed, and was warm and clean. You can hear people moving around and noise from the room next door a bit, but it's an old building. If you want a reasonably-priced base to sleep in a convenient location, and you plan to be out and about a lot, this hotel does the job.

Amazing location. Super close to Earls Court station. Excellent restaurants on high street just a short walk away. It was a low cost option in the area so we were happy to accept less than swanky rooms. I only ding the place for cleanliness as one room had a bit of an odor. In general it could be cleaner. Also needs some work but that’s hardly an issue. It’s an old building. Morning staff was lovely. Very helpful. If you plan on doing a lot of tourism and want to save money then absolutely consider staying here. If you need amazing accommodations then skip it and pay more!

A cosy place that offers a personal touch. Front desk staff are friendly. Location in Earls Court is excellent. The tube station is a 3-minute walk. Loads of food choices within walking distance. The room assigned to us was a little rundown and could do with some refurbishment but overall, it was a good stay.
