We love this hotel: it is a tranquil place in a central part of London. The best thing about this hotel and the reason we keep coming back is the wonderful, attentive and low key service from all the staff. We particularly love the service and the food in the lounge/dining room where Luca and his team go out of their way to provide a wonderful experience. The breakfast is the very best. Thank you for always making our stay such a pleasure.

I booked this place, and was intrigued, because of all the 10/10 reviews. This place is costly but utterly amazing and impeccable decor, design and service. Imagine staying at the Oxford or Cambridge club, the Harvard, Yale or Columbia club or a fine gentleman's club. That is what this place is. Very stately. It would fit well in Kingsman, being in Mayfair and near Jermyn Street. If you want an impeccable stay in London this is the place. I loved the room and decor. They even had ceramics in the room. The toiletries are Penhaligons. There is a fruit bowl. If cigars were PC these days there would be those, but they aren't. Instead it is House and Garden and Vogue magazine. Staff knew their jobs. I like that. Stay in the main building to be near the American bar and dining. I love the American bar. I am American. I felt at home surrounded by other Americans, how do they do that? haha. So yes, this is a 10/10 stay. It is highly expensive but highly Kingsman stately. I recommend it at least once in your life. Nice cocktail menu too. I suppose the only sad thing is they rant out of oysters on the half shell.

It was a great location. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. I normally stay at the Ritz Carlton hotel when vacationing but it was not available. The service level was great and the included breakfast option made our stay very efficient. The housekeeping staff member went above and beyond to make sure all necessary amenities were restocked daily as if we were her only guests. Ex coffee restocked, fresh towels, removing room service tray She was wonderful. I also enjoyed the fitness center even though very small.

Love staying at The Stafford. Could not be more conveniently located. Rooms are not spacious but they are extremely comfortable and well appointed. Staff are friendly and professional. The iconic American Bar is not to be missed (but I would not recommend the so-called Caesar salad).

Room very clean, comfortable bed, but with the smallest bathroom ever. Two people could not fit in the same space. We had noise all night from the air conditioning or machinery on the roof, with strong vibrations. The vibrations kept us awake all night. Although we told the reception the next day and wrote to the manager, we didn't receive any response with apologies. The receptionist apologised and blamed the recent winds. For £630 per night, one would expect more. They should check their equipment after strong winds and make sure their rooms are fit for stay. For me, it is about basic maintenance. We only stayed one night, but to be honest, I will never stay there again. It is about how the hotel chose to respond to our complain. I didn't need anything else but some apologies from the manager.

The Stafford is beautiful, classically British feeling, and staff was incredibly warm and helpful. Great location with easy access to Green Park tube station through a passage way across the street. Minor inconvenience is the bathroom has very little counter space / room for toiletries, but I find this is common in European hotels, and easily remedied if I had remembered a hanging toiletry case!

The only thing that caused us concern was getting into and out of your bath tub in our room whether for a shower or a bath...very precarious and no handles to hold onto to prevent a fall. That's a very high bath wall to step over to get into that tub and without a handle to steady you, quite dangerous. Exiting tub has same problem. Thank God we're still 72. Will be tougher later.

Even though I booked a Deluxe Room the room did not feel like a Deluxe Room. We have stayed at other 5 star hotels in London and this room just did not compare. No fruit basket or flowers, exceedingly small room, television would go off after playing for approx. 10 minutes. The bathroom was like a wet room (I like a bath) no tub not even a tub/shower combination. The floor was very slippery when wet even with the requested rubber mat. Maintenance should have checked the plumbing as when you turned on the shower (you had to stand under the shower head to reach the lever) you were blasted with cold water. The shower pipe leaked at the fitting so you also received a spray of water from that. The toilet was a disaster as half the time it would not flush. My daughter and I felt as if we were in a episode of "Faulty Towers". It should be noted that I did not request a handicap room. We definitely would not classify the room we stayed in as a Deluxe room, it was very substandard. I will say that the staff is wonderful and the hotel is kept very clean. The location is perfect. The two meals that we had at The Game Bird were delicious and the staff there were wonderful. The Continental breakfast that we had each morning offered a very nice array of delicious food, but nevertheless this was our first and last stay at The Stafford.

Excellent hotel off Piccadilly in St James. Traditional English decor. Very comfortable room and beds and bedding. Only negative……the bathroom walls need repainting and new wallpaper. Actually my bathroom had wallpaper painted white that was looking tired and peeling in spots. They do not offer upgrades or a free breakfast or two even tho I’ve stayed here many times. But a nice hotel with excellent value for the money in an excellent neighborhood. It’s probably. 4-4 1/2 star but still excellent.

Our stay at the Stafford Hotel was Wonderful! Our room was clean and well appointed. The morning breakfast was delicious and there were so many options to choose from. The staff at the restaurant (Alberto and Luca) were amazing. So friendly and accommodating! We looked forward to our interaction with them everyday! The housekeeping staff keep the rooms spotless and do a great job! The hotel staff are friendly and engaging. Nick the front doorman is a wonderful welcome whether you are coming or going, he was friendly and helpful. The Concierge services were great too! Thank you Tom for all of your advice and help! We stayed for two weeks at this beautiful hotel and we felt so comfortable and welcome there. We went to the American Bar a few nights to get something for dinner. The food is good and the atmosphere is fun! We enjoyed our stay at the Stafford! It's definitely one of our all time favorite hotels! The beds are comfortable. We had a lovely view of the Eye and the Shard. Our room was also very quiet. We can say enough about this hotel. If you are visitng London and you want a lovely hotel that is close to everything, but you don't want all the hustle and bustle, this is the place for you! They also have a secret passageway to get to Green Park. This is where you can catch the Underground Tube and get to most places in London. Walk the other way and you at Buckinham Palace. Wonderful Hotel, Lovely Stay! Highly Recommend!

This was our first time staying at the hotel and we had a lovely hotel. The staff are warm and welcoming. We had a cosy room with a very comfortable bed. It’s lovely to sit and have a drink in the American bar and to have coffee in the breakfast area. We would definitely come again

The Stafford is a lovely respite in a busy city. The staff adhere to old world service standards, always greeting guests as they come and go and helping with directions and dining options. The public areas are welcoming with a quiet sense of luxury. We enjoyed dining in the hotel restaurant for breakfast and the historic American Bar for lunch and late-night drinks. The rooms provide a classic level of comfort, however our room was very small. The Stafford is located in a regal neighborhood, just blocks from Buckingham Palace, adjacent to Green Park and within walking distance to the West End and Regent Street shopping. Overall, The Stafford provides a quiet, well-appointed home-away-from-home while visiting London.

We always stay at The Stafford when in London. It has a great location, staff, and unpretentious high quality. Some of the rooms in the older section are small with equally small showers, but the rooms are charming at the same time.

Imagine staying at the Oxford or Cambridge club, the Harvard, Yale or Columbia club or a fine gentleman's club. That is what this place is. Very stately. It would fit well in Kingsman, being in Mayfair and near Jermyn Street. If you want an impeccable stay in London this is the place. I loved the room and decor. They even had ceramics in the room. The toiletries are Penhaligons. There is a fruit bowl. If cigars were PC these days there would be those, but they aren't. Instead it is House and Garden and Vogue magazine. Staff knew their jobs. I like that. Stay in the main building to be near the American bar and dining. I love the American bar. I am American. I felt at home surrounded by other Americans, how do they do that? haha. So yes, this is a 10/10 stay. It is highly expensive but highly Kingsman stately. I recommend it at least once in your life. Nice cocktail menu too. I suppose the only sad thing is they rant out of oysters on the half shell.

Love staying at The Stafford. Could not be more conveniently located. Rooms are not spacious but they are extremely comfortable and well appointed. Staff are friendly and professional. The iconic American Bar is not to be missed (but I would not recommend the so-called Caesar salad).

Our stay at the Stafford Hotel was Wonderful! Our room was clean and well appointed. The morning breakfast was delicious and there were so many options to choose from. The staff at the restaurant (Alberto and Luca) were amazing. So friendly and accommodating! We looked forward to our interaction with them everyday! The housekeeping staff keep the rooms spotless and do a great job! The hotel staff are friendly and engaging. Nick the front doorman is a wonderful welcome whether you are coming or going, he was friendly and helpful. The Concierge services were great too! Thank you Tom for all of your advice and help! We stayed for two weeks at this beautiful hotel and we felt so comfortable and welcome there. We went to the American Bar a few nights to get something for dinner. The food is good and the atmosphere is fun! We enjoyed our stay at the Stafford! It's definitely one of our all time favorite hotels! The beds are comfortable. We had a lovely view of the Eye and the Shard. Our room was also very quiet. We can say enough about this hotel. If you are visitng London and you want a lovely hotel that is close to everything, but you don't want all the hustle and bustle, this is the place for you! They also have a secret passageway to get to Green Park. This is where you can catch the Underground Tube and get to most places in London. Walk the other way and you at Buckinham Palace. Small hotel with excellent service. Popular bar and tea room take away from an otherwise tranquil atmosphere. Mews rooms overlook the outdoor seating area which even in November can be quite loud. Great location. Walk to everything.

Room very clean, comfortable bed, but with the smallest bathroom ever. Two people could not fit in the same space. We had noise all night from the air conditioning or machinery on the roof, with strong vibrations. The vibrations kept us awake all night. Although we told the reception the next day and wrote to the manager, we didn't receive any response with apologies. The receptionist apologised and blamed the recent winds. For £630 per night, one would expect more. They should check their equipment after strong winds and make sure their rooms are fit for stay. For me, it is about basic maintenance. We only stayed one night, but to be honest, I will never stay there again. It is about how the hotel chose to respond to our complain. I didn't need anything else but some apologies from the manager.

As always everything lived up to expectations, and especially the wonderful breakfast, served by Alberto, who made sure everything was perfect. It is always a pleasure to see Luca and his team, who are so helpful and positive, nothing is too much trouble and this is why we keep coming back to the Stafford. We stay here regularly and find it to be a very good location, most of the staff are friendly and helpful. The rooms are to a good standard and it’s generally well maintained. We had an issue with one of the rooms on our stay and felt it was badly handled by the staff and we were told there wasn’t a manager available to speak to which I found irritating. Nevertheless the majority of staff are kind and welcoming and I normally enjoy my stay.

The Stafford is beautiful, classically British feeling, and staff was incredibly warm and helpful. Great location with easy access to Green Park tube station through a passage way across the street. Minor inconvenience is the bathroom has very little counter space / room for toiletries, but I find this is common in European hotels, and easily remedied if I had remembered a hanging toiletry case!

We love this hotel: it is a tranquil place in a central part of London. The best thing about this hotel and the reason we keep coming back is the wonderful, attentive and low key service from all the staff. We particularly love the service and the food in the lounge/dining room where Luca and his team go out of their way to provide a wonderful experience. The breakfast is the very best. Thank you for always making our stay such a pleasure.

This was our second time staying at this property, the hotel is spotless and the reception and concierge staff are excellent. The food and service in the Game Bird restaurant were fantastic, however the American Bar service left a lot to be desired and made us question whether we would either use the bar or even stay here again in the future.

The food is good and the atmosphere is fun! We enjoyed our stay at the Stafford! It's definitely one of our all time favorite hotels! The beds are comfortable. We had a lovely view of the Eye and the Shard. Our room was also very quiet. We can say enough about this hotel. If you are visitng London and you want a lovely hotel that is close to everything, but you don't want all the hustle and bustle, this is the place for you! They also have a secret passageway to get to Green Park. This is where you can catch the Underground Tube and get to most places in London. Walk the other way and you at Buckinham Palace. Wonderful Hotel, Lovely Stay! Highly Recommend!
Our stay at the Stafford Hotel was Wonderful! Our room was clean and well appointed. The morning breakfast was delicious and there were so many options to choose from. The staff at the restaurant (Alberto and Luca) were amazing. So friendly and accommodating! We looked forward to our interaction with them everyday! The housekeeping staff keep the rooms spotless and do a great job! The hotel staff are friendly and engaging. Nick the front doorman is a wonderful welcome whether you are coming or going, he was friendly and helpful. The Concierge services were great too! Thank you Tom for all of your advice and help! We stayed for two weeks at this beautiful hotel and we felt so comfortable and welcome there. We went to the American Bar a few nights to get something for dinner. The room was nice, but the bed was terrible. Old, lumpy...two twin beds pushed together to make a 'fake' King bed... with a big, hard lump in the middle. A hotel of this reputation should never fake anything....

It is very nice hotel but two experiences spoiled my stay. Second night I asked to book for one person at the bar or a table at the American Bar. When I asked it was a half hour before the semi final of world cup. I was rudely treated at the bar reception stand by the same guy who was rude the night before. I then went as a guest of the hotel and asked the desk to sort out. I was told no space. I went out and grabbed a sandwich came back twenty minutes into the game and the bar was half empty. I will never be back. The next night I thought I would try the empty restaurant, they would not serve me at the bar (against the empty restaurants rules) then basically said they would allow me a table. I chose to head over to a great Italian Bocco Di Lupo you all should try excellent service and food. I think the Stafford is a victim of complacency. Not worth the money, better choices in London.

I love the Stafford. If you are seeking a luxurious experience look no further. The staff are very pleasant and accommodating. The bed was so down puffy making a long day the perfect ending. The American bar was wonderful to watch the World Cup with a splendid glass of vino.
