Wedgewood Hotel

The safe in the wardrobe was on the floor and was unable see the instructions and mechanism to set the code. I tried to phone reception but the phone was dead. I ad to go back to reception and request maintenance to assist. Maintenance canes but couldn’t set up the safe. They went away and 10 minutes later came back and finally set it up. The general decor, walls and skirting boards were poor. The TV was on a bracket but not straight with wire dangling down the side. The toilet in the en suite didn’t flush properly. After 6 flushes there was still residue in the toilet. On the second night there was a breeze and the sash window rattled all night

Our hotel offered basic amenities i.e. bathroom and bedroom with kettle and hair dryer. No bar or restaurant on site but that was okay as we were really close to many other food and drink venues. Also really close to tube station.

Service and check in were great. However my room was very small. I knew this when booking, but it was even smaller than expected compared to the pictures.

Great area and location. The staff was friendly and helpful. But the the room was dirty, there was a dirty band aid ind the shower cabin and a lot of long black hairs under the sheets.

Fan or Aircon in the room would of been nice but otherwise was excellent
