Hotel Monopol Luzern

E' situato in una posizione ottima nel centro di Lucerna, vicino alla stazione ferroviaria e a due passi dal lago. A sfavore è un albergo un po' vecchiotto, le stanze foderate di moquette sono un po' maleodoranti, il bagno con la porta a vetro non consente un minimo di privacy (ma perché poi? una porta opaca costava anche meno). Non è facile parcheggiare e con un solo addetto alla reception (peraltro molto gentile) abbiamo dovuto aspettare quasi mezz'ora per avere la camera.

The hotel was perfectly located to access everything. Train station and marina across street. Shopping a block away.

The hotel was lovely, staff were understanding and attentive. I had a few small issues which were handled promptly. Great position to walk everywhere and if doing a tour, the pick up is right around the corner. Breakfast was good. The only thing was that there was a toddler above us who was running around and the floor seems very noisy.

The staff were very helpful and very nice. The room seemed to be cleaned well, but the furniture and carpet in the room and carpet in the hallway were stained which made everything feel a little dirty. The bathroom was very clean which we really appreciated. The bed and pillows were comfortable. We had a hard time finding the hotel because I was looking for the pictures I had seen online of the outside. It would have been nice to know beforehand that the front would be under construction. It might have saved hours caught in traffic and driving in circles.
