The highlight of the hotel is the spa. It’s really modern and feels so luxurious. The room decor looks a bit dated because of the carpet and the bathroom doesn’t feel particularly luxurious either. The mini fridge has no drinks in it. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Breakfast at the hotel is great would recommend that. I would visit the spa again not sure I would stay overnight. They didn’t advise on any discounts for parking so we had to pay around £60 for one day parking as we left for dinner so it counted as two sessions

Great central location. Beautiful building and well appointed rooms. The bar was closed when we were staying, which was disappointing as it looked lovely. Also, checkout was 11am and they wouldn’t extend - this is too early for a 5 star hotel, in my view. We would have appreciated a 12pm checkout.

Beautiful hotel - a combination of a gorgeous old building and a new, well designed section which houses the rooms. Pretty flawless in terms of comfort. I dropped a few stars for service since as a 5* hotel it’s disappointing for the bar to close at 11pm and the pool and gym to be closed out by 8pm. It’s a small thing yet for anyone arriving or working late it’s something to be aware of. That said, I’d stay again in a flash.

Well l am disappointed as I was provided with a room with a construction site right opposite and then when we asked to use the Spa it was allowed to be used if we booked on previously and the session would be one hour per booking . We have used this hotel many times before and this has never been the issue before. It was not a good experience this time, as it was a mother an ld daughter getaway I booked for.

It’s my go to Hotel Manchester, it was busier than normal, I don’t like the new having to book to use pool rule. Also they need to get the dedicated lift working. Overall though a good stay.

Me and my girlfriend really enjoyed our stay at the hotel. The breakfast was delicious and the room was very clean and spacious. We really appreciated the effort the hotel went to for our anniversary and her birthday it was very thoughtful. Spa was very good and the gym for a hotel gym was very very good. We would love to stay here again.

This is our second stay at The Edwardian! We were room 1208 on the 12th floor. The room was clean and tidy! Unfortunately we didn’t realise that the blinds didn’t work in the bedroom! Which I should have realised when I walked into the room and blinds were already down, but because we were rushing to use the spar. It’s a shame really has you have spectacular views of the City. My feeling is that the Hotel, knew the blinds were not working, has they would have had them up for more light when cleaning the room. The Spar is excellent, but due to it being within the Christmas period, very busy, so we were turned away at first, returning half hour later for a booked slot. There are lots of places to eat, and wine bars, themed bars, close by. We booked into Great Northern One, NCP car park, £19 for 24hrs, which is a 5 minute walk to the Edwardian

Room, specifically the bathroom, was not cleaned whatsoever. When I brought it to the attention of the hotel staff, they were passively apologetic with no solutions. I had brought photos and they didn't even care to look or resolve the issue.

Put in room 520 - a really bad room in what appeared to be a lovely hotel. The door from the lift lobby into floor 5 was literally next to my room - almost up against the side of the bedroom wall. The door was VERY noisy with people coming in and out the entire evening late into the night (even woke me up whilst sleeping). I was excited to stay here after walking into the hotel lobby, however the very noisy door meant I woke several times in the night and left very dissapointed. Paying good money in a good hotel, this really should not happen. Far from impressed, unlikely to return.

I would love to say that this is a five star hotel. It has a five star gym and pool area - that’s about it and is the only reason that I stay here compared to other hotels in Manchester. Firstly, the hotel seemed understaffed and it took ages to check in. There was no welcome drink and overall the service was poor. I didn’t get any of my VIP access benefits. They don’t even give you a free bottle of water in the room anymore. The rooms are in dire need of an upgrade. The carpets are dated and dirty and the bathroom was clearly being patched up with repairs from leaks. I just feel that for something that is so expensive and it’s five star rated, I have had much better quality of room in much cheaper hotels around Manchester.

Wonderful welcome on reception from Danny. Room is very spacious with a huge comfy bed and wet room. Perfect view of Manchester Central and skyscrapers.Superb choice of breakfast food and all the staff were exceptional, really polite and helpful. Lovely spa and swimming pool and a great location near tram stops, plenty of restaurants and shops nearby. Only downside was the lifts which kept going up and down and missing our floor and we couldn't find the stairs anywhere! Would definitely stay again.

TV remote didn’t work very well and hardly at all, spoke with reception who said they would get it changed but after arriving back later in the evening this still was a problem and couldn’t actually work the TV at all then. Toilet cracked which I wouldn’t expect of a 5* hotel. Breakfast was lovely. Great location.

I’ve stayed several times now at the Rad Edwardian, and every time I’ve stayed it’s been good, however this time didn’t feel as good, our room felt a little dated, the TV and fridge didn’t working upon checkin so we had to call maintenance up to fix it, which was done swiftly and everything worked, the room felt somewhat worn out, with marks on the furniture and walls, and the bath tub was evan worn (down to the black) in places. For the money paid, we was a little underwhelmed, other than that, check in was quick and easy.

Hotel is in a good location, easy to walk to main amenities.. The staff are very smart and attentive, particular thanks to Gary who is wonderful we got a lovely welcome from the him when we arrived. Also Kyan looked after us on reception. Breakfast was lovely with a good choice. Room was comfy and good facilities. We used the Spa which is really nice with a good sized pool. Would definitely recommend.

Two rooms were booked as singles, two rooms as doubles in May 24. When we checked in, only doubles had been allocated. Middle aged men were sharing double beds. One of the reservations couldn’t be found. This resulted in an uncomfortable conversation at the check-in desk which took almost 45 minutes to resolve. Once we got to the room, we had only been in there for around 10 minutes, and the door opened - two other guests had been allocated the same room. This is service I would expect at a Premier Inn not a hotel with the reputation of the Edwardian. Congratulations on tarnishing our weekend.

Overall really disappointing. £800 for 3 nights with extremely poor service. -Check in took almost 30minutes and they broke GDPR by sharing other guests information by giving me all the prior guests details. -Took a holding fee on my credit card although whenever I tried to use it in the hotel I was told (you have no credit) although I paid with the same card. -shower overflowed every time it was used. Had to shower and wash hair in separate sessions to reduce flooding. -SPA overall was nice but when it came to closing the receptionist came in and screamed like a dinner lady to say it’s closed. There was actually a chorus of laughter between all guests as we all were startled and it wasn’t like a usual SPA energy. This hotel has so much potential but unfortunately did not live up to expectations and I wouldn’t recommend.

The warmest of welcomes throughout our stay. Kyaw & Danny couldn’t do enough for us. The breakfast is exquisite & again made even more special because of the amazing staff. We had a lovely 24 hours at the Edwardian Hotel in Manchester. The location is perfect – just a short 10-minute walk to the coach station, with plenty of food options nearby. The in-room dining was excellent too, but the highlight was definitely The Library restaurant – the steak was delicious and the service outstanding. The décor and vibe of the hotel are beautiful, and the spa and swimming pool are fantastic for relaxing. A special mention goes to the older gentleman at the concierge desk – he was absolutely fantastic, so kind, attentive, and genuinely friendly. Nothing was ever too much trouble. Lovely hotel in a great position to explore the rainy sights of Manchester (yes it rained for 24 hours!!). On minor issue that our room (515) over looked the side entrance and was awokenat 1.30am by cars pulling up with their music on full blast. Concierge obviously couldn't do much about it as was outside but apart from that superb. Breakfast was expensive but well worth it. See you again soon. C&V

Great central location. Beautiful building and well appointed rooms. The bar was closed when we were staying, which was disappointing as it looked lovely. Also, checkout was 11am and they wouldn’t extend - this is too early for a 5 star hotel, in my view. We would have appreciated a 12pm checkout.

Beautiful hotel with a lovely pool and spa area. Excellent location. The only issue was the restaurant which was extremely loud and not ideal for our group. The library bar was closed and not accessible to our group unfortunately. The service in the restaurant at dinner was very poor we eventually left without an offer of deserts or coffees .

Bathrooms need work. The tub looked old, tired and unattractive. Plastic, barely working flusher above the toilet. You have to press long and hard to get it to work. Quite a few of the breakfast items were cheap/ budget quality and not the standard I'd expect from a 5 star hotel. No hotel parking. There are other hotels that have it but not this one. Nearest parking is an NCP carpark (10 minutes walk away). Staff were friendly enough. Bed was comfortable. Working Aircon. Fairly small rooms. Undecided if I would return (probably not),

Our stay was only short but everything about it was perfect from start to finish. The service was phenomenal, the room and the hotel in general and all the little touches around were so nice. The breakfast though, I was shocked at how good this was. The selection and the quality of the buffet was incredible and you can also order pankcakes, french toast, etc included. We came for our anniversary and we look forward to coming back again!

Nice property staff are very helpful. Room service is fair to poor for a five star property. If you want to piss off a client staying at your property charge them for the tray usage for room service. This just angers the clients... if you have to hide the extortion do it in the price of the food. Also property has no parking.. true 5 star hotel will park your car for you..sorry but this hotel needs to correct a few things before it is truely five star.

We loved the Edwardian! The staff were amazing and couldn't have been more helpful. Everyone is so happy and pleasant. Breakfast was great and the coffees are lovely. The hotel is in a great location for nights out, bars, restaurants etc. The rooms are brilliant and have an iron and ironing board, Nespresso machine, fridge etc. which some don't have. The spa is great, the pool, gym, sauna and steam room are excellent and was a wonderful place to celebrate our anniversary. The restaurant and bars look amazing although we didn't eat there. There's a lovely champagne bar too. The changing rooms at the spa were lovely and there are large beds to relax near the pool I saw a couple of small areas in the pool area that need plastering to retain the high class finish that is so obvious everywhere else throughout the hotel (I noticed this near to the water/drinks because I'm a tradey and no one else might've and it's small! I'd have done it if I'd have had my trowel ;) We will 100% be going again. This is now our favourite place in Manchester and worth every penny.
