A good location, easy to drive and park and easy to walk places. The pool was a massive hit with the kids. Our room was spacious and nice. All the staff were really friendly and accommodating.

Cute apartment, everything we needed. Happy to give us extra towels for the pool. No mini bar but there was an ordering option. Pool and spa were nice! Sauna was relaxing. Good access to pool. Gym looked well equipped.

Pool was great for kids and spa was fab for adults. Our son loved the gym. Sauna out of order across the busy Easter season, was disappointing Guest wifi cost an extra $15 which was ridiculous so we used our own data. Guest parking an extra $30 a day a bit disappointing Enjoyed the convenience of the buffet breakfast Room was clean, staff were friendly, view was great. Good location for Easter stay during the Comedy Festival

Tvs haven’t been updatedso no channels work in bedrooms. Spa out of order, sauna out of order. Noisy works next at the arts centre starts at 7am with heavy drills drilling into concrete.

Great location right near Southbank, literally walk across the street. Rooms spacious and quiet. Pool and spa area fabulous. Breakfast great for $24 a head.

Rooms were not clean. High level with a view room was requested but was far from it. Asked to change and was told we couldn’t. Then the room, mostly bathroom, had a disgusting smell of sewerage, the smell was like a drop toilet. Finally got a new room after this. But it was so dirty. Inch deep of dust around skirting of bed. Food smeared on top of bin. Surfaces not clean, walls not clean. Had stayed here earlier in the year and was much better but after this stay I doubt is stay again

Bathroom was very unclean, especially the mirror, toilet and shower, conditioner bottle was empty and wasn't refilled by housekeeping who did absolutely nothing. Gym was very lacking and while parking appears to be included it's actually an extra cost. The free hot chocolate at the end of the day in the foyer was a huge hit with the kids.

Beds were quite hard and uncomfortable, microwave and other kitchen utensils dirty. There was also countless dust all over different surfaces of the room. Was charged for parking and this was not explained in check in. Bathroom was outdated and not cleaned as well as it could have been. We will not be staying again.

Room has a bit of wear and tear. Also very dark and a bit gloomy with loud AC. I needed to have a work base whilst in Melbourne and the room was not great for that. Step into bath for a shower with the shower-head low so expect to duck a little if you're over 6'. Reception was nice and helpful.

Hotel was very handy to Southbank entertainment district. Short walk to St Kilda Road trams annd Flinders Street station. Apartment was neat and tidy but bathroom very tired, chipped tiles, shower not very powerful. Not great TV reception. Breakfast in the restaurant was good and reasonably priced. Overall would stay again purely for convenience factor.

What was good: * Fantastic location, a very short walk to Southbank and a short walk to the city / Flinders St / National Gallery. * In-unit washer & dryer (separate appliances, and on the smaller side). * Short walk to IGA grocery store & 7/11. * The blackout curtains are great. What was not so good: * Storage is very challenging for 2 people and with more luggage. The bedroom closet is tiny and there isn't much additional storage beyond that. * The apartments are quite dated. The signs of age are evident. * Further to the above, having booked a spa suite, the spa jets didn't work. This was a bit disappointing but not the end of the world. On the upside, the spa was a good size. * Underground parking is quite expensive at 35 AUD per night. Street parking would be very challenging around Southbank. The main selling point of this apartment is that it is one of few at the price point in the Southbank area to have an in-unit washer/dryer, which is a great utility for longer stays. All in all, a solid option, if not perfect. I'd probably be more likely to stay again if I were traveling with less luggage in future.

Convenient location and walking distances to restaurants and shops. However, the hotel rooms are outdated. For the price per night the room was not worth it. Shower and toilet area very outdated with it all in one and just an old shower curtain stopping it from spraying over the toilet. Beds were hard. It was clean but due to it being a little run down it makes it look not great. Hotel parking was easy but was extra. The breakfast was good with hot and cold options and modern sitting area.

We requested early check in and still werent checked in till after 3. The restaurant was dismal. Only had a very small selection ,not all of those were availabke either, pre booked the buffet breakky only to have no seating available. Asked for housekeeping to tidy up while we were out and after going out for the day and 3 phone calls later our room was partially cleaned whilst my family were sitting at the table. Overall the actual facilty was decent just not very clean and the staff not very helpful

I booked for 6 people and the sofa bed they gave us which was meant to sleep 2 of the people was broken (the top end of it was sagging. I called reception and they couldn’t swap our room or provide us with another sofa bed so 3 people had to squish into a queen bed and 2 on one of the singles. They didn’t provide me any sort of compensation for this as of yet. The room was also advertised as soundproof and in a travelling dj so I booked for it to be soundproof so I can practice. At 5.30pm during my stay in practicing and the manager of the hotel walks into my room (I didn’t let him in he scanned himself in) and started shouting at me about the noise. We had a guest currently in the shower at this point and it made us super uncomfortable he came in unannounced. He also threatened to remove us from the building even though the room was advertised as soundproof and it was 6pm. I advise enough about not going here. Was the worst experience I have ever had and the manager was so rude. The room was also super noisy because of the traffic and the thin walls.

Great place to stay with the kids for a city stay. Service was fantastic. A great location. Easy to get around. The room was lovely. The facilities were great too. We all loved it and will definitely book again.

I will always book Mantra from now on. I was greeted by a bottle of wine & note for Mothers Day upon arrival. I had to check out early due to a family emergency and the receptionist was very helpful and supportive. She booked me a taxi to the train station and wished me well. I then was granted a redund immediately for the nights I missed. Wonderful service.

Parking is very good, location is great. I have stayed a few times in the past and have never been disappointed. Breakfast is very good. I had a family emergency and had to cut short my stay, the desk staff member was amazing. I very much appreciated his help. I will never forget his kindness and will make sure i return to Mantra in the future

The kids loved the heated pool and spa, its a 5 minute walk from Flinders station and there are plenty of dining options around. The noise from City rd was manageable. The southbank boulevard playspace is also a short walk away.

Wish we were told of the significant roadworks BEFORE check in - kept awake half the night from Jack hammer! These roadworks also severely limited access to get to MCG/AAMI Park/Rod Laver etc close by - 5 min walk turned into 15-20 Cleanliness of the room and bathroom not the best - definitely needs a good spring clean! Great space just needs a good deep clean (specially as bathroom had no window) Bedroom door had obviously never been closed when cleaning as was filthy behind door with M&M’s and jelly beans scattered on floor

Great location other than the current noisy construction site next door and noisy main road. Easy walk to Rod Laver Arena and CBD. Great sized 2 bedroom apartment, comfortable beds, property is a little dated, but great for the price.

Good location however bathroom/shower was a bit dated. Located next to a main road and if you have a room on that side of the hotel the road noise is very loud.

The customer service was excellent, the staff were so accommodating. The pool area was fantastic. Possibly a greater selection of hot food at the buffet breakfast (egg selection)

Great value for money, clean and spacious 2 bedroom apartment with cooking facilities. Lifts were nice and quick, no waiting.The buffet breakfast had plenty of options for everyone and well priced too. Will definitely be our choice for future stays in Melbourne.

Terrific location, facilities clean, however noise from the road was quite bad and made it difficult to sleep. The buffet should include a complimentary coffee, variety was basic and felt like it had been sitting there a while.

Hotel was very handy to Southbank entertainment district. Short walk to St Kilda Road trams annd Flinders Street station. Apartment was neat and tidy but bathroom very tired, chipped tiles, shower not very powerful. Not great TV reception. Breakfast in the restaurant was good and reasonably priced. Overall would stay again purely for convenience factor.

Stay went well. Slight miscommunication on arrival about beds but we figured it out. Room was clean and presentable. Staff were friendly helpful and attentive. The breakfast (we had to buy) was good. Hotel was easy to find with Google maps. Room was clean. Tiles in bathroom were chipped, giving the appearance that they were dirty. Room had a tiny poky kitchen. No view. Bed was comfortable but pillows were not so great. Didn’t hear any outside noise during the night. Room heater worked great on a freezing Melbourne night. Having to pay extra for a ‘barista made coffee’ at breakfast, on top of the buffet fee was a bit steep.

Stayed in a family apartment. A little dated but fine and we appreciated the separate rooms with kitchen. Great South Bank location. Special acknowledgement for Liam who helped us at check-in, including parking our van which was right at the height limit. You are certainly paying a high fee AUD 40, but the local parking garages are not necessarily much cheaper and we were very glad to load our bags on-site. Liam came to the carpark and watched to ensure my van fit and was similarly attentive when we departed.

Room needed a few maintenance fix ups like the broken toilet roll holder that came completely off the wall. The towel hook missing in the bathroom. The lamp in the bedroom had an electrical issue within the power cord. The shampoo bottle was empty in the shower. The pool however was great as were the fitness facilities.
