Great overall amenities- full kitchen, laundry, comfortable bed, spacious lounge area - but the bath/shower was poorly designed for taller people and a bit hard to step out of heightwise

Great location, just steps away from everything you need, and parking across the street is very convenient. The check-in process was smooth, and the bed was noticeably comfortable. The apartment was clean, though the carpet and kitchen could use some updating. My room was located down several flights of stairs with no elevator access, so if accessibility is a priority, I’d recommend confirming your room’s location in advance.

I had everything I needed and more, thank you! Close to Parliament and Flinders St stations and every larger shop within 5-10 minute walking distance. The apartment exceeded expectations and the washer and dryer came in handy. I would have loved to cook but no need with everything available so close by. One thing that would be even better is a larger TV, 32” is too small for the room. Staff were super attentive and great communication, thank you for a very pleasant stay.

The property is in an excellent location, close to shops, transport, restaurants, gardens, theatres. The check-in was quick and the lady on the front desk was helpful and extremely pleasant. She is an asset to the business. The apartment itself was very spacious. It was very clean and had great resources (stove, hob, washer/dryer, air con/heating, TV). There was a shower over a bath but the bath mechanism didn't work (they may have decommissioned the use of baths due to water usage concerns??). I had been pre-warned about noise from surrounding building works. I stayed on a Sunday and so there was no noise. It did start up at 7am. on the Monday morning but wasn't actually that bad. I would happily stay at this establishment again. Thank you.

The first night was impossible to sleep — the building was so noisy from the strong wind (felt like a cyclone!), and I’m usually a deep sleeper. Luckily, the next night was calm and I slept well. Great location and very affordable, but cleaning needs improvement as we found leftover food in the fridge. Friendly staff fixed it quickly. Bring earplugs if you’re a light sleeper!

Very clean and neat, but the fittings and furnishings are a little tired. The instructions for the air con were not very clear; not sure that we mastered it! Sadly the building works surrounding the property detracted from the ambiance.

No lift at the entrance /ramp. Bad service. Terrible dirty room. Toilet paper in the toilet, dishwasher was yuck and smelly with rubbish inside. Not enough towels. No cleaning gear. No housekeeping for 4 days. There was rubbish in the lift and smell of weed. Some staff members were not helpful and professional.

Great location, considerably clean, apart from behind the bed side tables and bed. Otherwise the staff were very attentive and happy to help with anything. Well priced and has everything you need for a long or short stay in Melbourne.

Great location and walking distance to all things Melbourne CBD. The apartment was clean and roomy. I have stayed at Punthill Manhattan before, but unfortunately it seems to have become a bit ‘tired’ since my last stay. The carpet was stained, worn and buckling in places and the general smell of the apartment was awful. We had little to no sleep as there was a party going on in the next room, which could easily be heard until the early hours of the morning. Such a shame as I’ve always been happy to stay there.

Great location and walking distance to all things Melbourne CBD. The apartment was clean and roomy. The apartment was clean and tidy and sufficient for our 3 night stay. It had everything we needed and more. The location is very central and walkable throughout the CBD. There are also tram stops nearby within the free zone. Check in after hours instructions were clear and easy to follow. We could also leave our luggage after check out to do more exploring. Unfortunately the wifi was terrible. It was very slow (speed test was showing up to 2Mbps download speed) and basically unresponsive. It could be due to the location of our room and that we weren’t getting any signal. I did mention this to the front desk but they weren’t able to help. Luckily we had a large mobile data plan so we just used that instead.

Stayed in the basement rooms which are high ceilings warehouse like. Good value. Could benefit from blackout curtains as have opaque roller blinds at the moment with all might lighting from the building next door.

A well located hotel if you are doing football, concerts etc around the MCG precinct. 1 bedroom rooms provided great extra living space and all necessary amenities. Room did not have any great views and was noisy as next to a construction site but this was communicated as part of the booking process so no surprises. No construction at night so still plenty of quiet time. Bathroom was a bit dated but some rooms have been renovated. Overall a comfortable hotel in a good location and Zach Brown Band was fantastic.

Stayed in a room on the east side of the building. A new development on this side of the hotel means our room was very dark. Maybe the hotel should make that very clear when making a booking. Also, the air conditioning wasn’t very effective. The room was a little too warm but there was nothing we could do about it.

Major MAJOR construction site happening right on the side of my room and noise from 6am was significant. Also workers on-site and no ability to have blockout blinds basically prevented use of main living area until all work was finished for the day was not ideal. Once all works done this might be better.

Our room had everything we needed - even a washing machine. It was only 15 minutes from the MCG meaning it was the perfect location when visiting. We were forwarned about the loud construction, which certainly can’t be helped, but the windows were extremely thin. It would be great if the bathroom was upgraded to have water saving shower heads. The bedroom was also a bit strange as it had a blind into the kitchen with no window.

Fair price and great location right in the CBD. Room was big and airy and had all amenities. Some lights in the room didn't work - but there was also lamps/floor lighting. Wifi was spotty and not conducive for video calls. The property proactively communicated about construction happening outside which was nice! Overall, some parts were underwhelming, but I would certainly go back and stay here again.

We stayed in a two bedroom family apartment, and also rented a one-bedroom studio for a friend down the hall. Neither room had sufficient internet to even check email. The man at reception was rude to us making jokes at our expense, and the sheets on my son's bed were smudged with black. When we asked for help about the sheets, he argued with my husband saying this doesn't happen...well it did. The next day a much nicer person tried to help with the internet, but no use...they said the other guy was temporary...not great. Also, there is major construction next door starting at 7 AM.

Despite the wotif advertisement, they charged before arrival. They did this without any notice or communication. I found out only after checking my bank statement. I believe they would have tried to charge again on arrival if I hadn’t noticed. They tried to charge well over and above security deposit advertised on wotif. It was terribly noisy with thin walls. Screaming, yelling partying happening in the building and they did nothing to ask the party to be quiet

I believe they would have tried to charge again on arrival if I hadn’t noticed. They tried to charge well over and above security deposit advertised on wotif. It was terribly noisy with thin walls. Screaming, yelling partying happening in the building and they did nothing to ask the party to be quiet

No lift at the entrance /ramp. Bad service. Terrible dirty room. Toilet paper in the toilet, dishwasher was yuck and smelly with rubbish inside. Not enough towels. No cleaning gear. No housekeeping for 4 days. There was rubbish in the lift and smell of weed. Some staff members were not helpful and professional.

The property is in an excellent location, close to shops, transport, restaurants, gardens, theatres. The check-in was quick and the lady on the front desk was helpful and extremely pleasant. She is an asset to the business. The apartment itself was very spacious. It was very clean and had great resources (stove, hob, washer/dryer, air con/heating, TV). There was a shower over a bath but the bath mechanism didn't work (they may have decommissioned the use of baths due to water usage concerns??). I had been pre-warned about noise from surrounding building works. I stayed on a Sunday and so there was no noise. It did start up at 7am. on the Monday morning but wasn't actually that bad. I would happily stay at this establishment again. Thank you.

4 night stay, would have expected room serviced at least once. Had to ask for kitchen supplies replenished. Great room size and location perfect. Noise from building site very annoying, especially at 6:15am! And light from next door overnight not blocked out by the blinds. Wouldn’t stay again until building next door finished.

It was a fantastic property to stay out and it is an extremely close to multiple theatres in the Melbourne CBD. I will definitely consider staying here again if I go to Melbourne to see musicals. It's also extremely easy to navigate around the CBD from the location.

We arrived early and I was able to get into my room 2 hours before regular check in. That was great as I was able to get a good nap in before heading out to the city. Less than a mile from MCG and close to a lot of shopping, bars and entertainment. I will definitely look to stay here again on my next visit. Having a washer/dryer was also a big perk.

Staff were very helpful, although can’t speak to them after hours, goes to call centre. Apartment needs a very serious upgrade. Carpet lifting and has staples sticking out. Shower has great pressure, however the shower head is lose and sprays everywhere. Staff were very helpful

Check in was delayed as room was not ready We had noisy guests in the room next to ours first night And our heater was not working in original room and wifi was non existent Diego the host came and saw us on the second day and apologised and gave us a new room - heater was so nice to have again and redeemed our first impressions of the hotel

Our Go-To Melbourne Spot! Punthill Manhattan is our favorite base in Melbourne. The location is perfect, and the staff are always excellent. While the bathrooms are a little outdated and due for a refresh, the overall experience is great. We always look forward to returning!
