Was fabulous! Was warmer weather so the pool was sensational

Cigarette burns on furniture. Dirty stairwells. On Saturday night a dance party right underneath the rooms playing obnoxiously loud music until nearly midnight.

The pool was awesome. The amenities were complete and thoughtful. The staff had great communication. Clean room.

Condition of the room was poor, room size was great, the pool is nice. Shower was terrible - no pressure and kept going super hot all the time.

Staff were friendly, room was clean but outdated and probably could do with some TLC. Pool was clean and nice. Overall decent stay.

rooms & furniture looked old and area untidy especially around pool area, but beds and showers were good. staff were good and helpful. hotel just needs a good TLC.

This motel provides full service including a lovely Sri Lankan cuisine restaurant that also happens to be very flexible for other tastes!

This motel has very nice rooms with lovely patios for each room overlooking a beautiful pool area with birds etc...excellent experience thanks!

Worst place I have ever stayed at. Was booked in for 3 nights.. Left after first to a new hotel. Photos lied about hotel. Not 15 swimming pools. 1 with cigarette butts everywhere. Untidy and unsafe grass area to get to pool. Room was disgusting. No wifi. No milk. Insect screen door was damaged. I could go on..... I wish I had read more into the reviews.

Staff were fine but the place is very run down, old and dirty… broken toilet roll holders, broken shower screen, very old inside room, mouldy bathroom roof, back door lock not even a lock, outside bins very smelly, tape over PowerPoints, the list is endless! Spend the extra money and stay else where!

There were cockroaches crawling all around the room, we could not stay the whole night because we were so disgusted.

The accomodation is conveniently close to Dandenong. The room cleanliness was very poor. Carpets and walls dirty and stained. The bench top hadn’t been wiped down and the bathroom hasn’t had a proper clean in a long time. The whole place is in desperate need for renovations. The price is very reasonable and the pool would be a bonus in summer.

I liked the fact that the poor guy on reception (who told me that all of the rooms were in the same condition) did not hesitate in getting my room payment returned to me when I refused to use the room. The carpet was exceptionally dirty and had not been vacuumed. It was lifting from the skirting in most places. The furniture was badly damage with large wood chips missing from it. the timber finish had turned white. The bed was is such a state that we would not consider sleeping on it. There was a very strong musty smell of mold within the room, The condition of the room was NOTHING like the room or any of the rooms displayed on their site. We had just returned from overseas and I was embarrassed to think that an overseas visitor may think that this is the norm in Australia.

Unfortunately there is nothing positive to be said about this property. They should have paid me to stay there. The room had not been cleaned. There was food and empty drink bottles in the kitchen cupboards from previous guests. The drinking glasses were filthy. The carpets were wet in patches (right near our heads next to the bed) due to mould so had to breathe that in as we slept. Smoke alarm had been cut off the wall and not replaced so wires were hanging out the wall. The bathroom had not been updated from what seems like the 80s I only wish I could add photos to this review because you could not understand how bad it was unless you saw it. When I complained about how filthy the room was they said they didn’t have anyone to clean it. My husband and I had to go to Coles and buy cleaning products just to make it minimally liveable for our children. Sketchy people also lurking around the building. You might ask why did we stay and not leave? It was Taylor Swift weekend in Melbourne and every where else was booked out. When my husband went to complain a second time they offered to discount our rate by $50 for the first two nights and then move us to a better room on the second two nights. We asked to view the second room first and it was a room no bigger than my lounge room with a queen bed, double bed and single bed all squashed in for the four of us. We originally had two rooms and two bathrooms. NEVER NEVER stay here. They don’t care about anything but taking your money.

TV had a faulty wall plug, so I could only access a couple of channels with a bad reception. Toilet seat wouldn’t stay up. Bedside lamps wouldn’t work and the room was very dirty. Dust everywhere, rubbish under the bed and cigarette buts on the balcony. I do have to say, the price is pretty reasonable at $100 per night.

Definition of budget accommodation. Dirty ceiling and curtains. Sides of the bed different heights. 1 glass and 2 cups. No cutlery. Noisy Air con only on and off with wall switch and no controls. Limited parking. Noisy and linen piled up in walkway to reception.

This motel is in a perfect location with just a short drive to the shops markets and places to eat. Room 34 has a newley renovated bathroom, but the rest of the apartment needs some work. The room was very dirty. The bench top had not been wiped clean, the carpet hadn’t been vacuumed and there was still food in the microwave from the previous guests. The bathroom floor looked clean, but after wiping up excess water, turned the white towel black. There was no wifi password provided. I pre-booked a 1 bedroom appointment with a kitchenette, but ended up with a small motel room with only a microwave. For the price of this accommodation, it is not too bad apart from the cleanliness.

The room had a funny smell, cockroach’s all over the room and no towels provided. Remote had oil all over it from past tenants. You definitely get what you pay for.

Very greatful to be accommodated with an early check in. However, the mattresses were exceptionally hard to sleep on. I like a firm mattress, not a plank of wood. Staff very friendly.

Superb balcony views

Shower floor very slippery, No remote for air con, ( used a chair to adjust setting ), balcony door did not have a lock.

Check in quick- room clean. Hotel is worn down but clean. Only 1 thin blanket provided, not enough for warmth-had holes in it. Of 3 bathroom lights only 1 was working. Sliding door had no lock and couldn’t close the whole way.

towels were soiled, leaking toilet, cutlery not set when arrived. wifi not working inside the room you need to go at the veranda, as soon as you enter the room it will be gone.

Excellent rooms, clean and comfortable. All the staff are very welcoming and helpful. The other guests were good people too, respectful. Very happy with our stay and would definitely stay there again. I found this place on the Internet and it was the best choice. Thank you to all the helpful courteous staff.

Im giving a 0 rating as i paid for a room for wife and i and never got to stay. On making my booking was under impression someone would be at front desk when we showed 2am Christmas morning, but then was told an hour out from catching our flight from Townsville to Melbourne that nobody would present to give us room keys. Leaving us no choice but to find last second lodging else. THANK GOD for the ATURA HOTEL

The pool was awesome. The amenities were complete and thoughtful. The staff had great communication. Clean room.

The place was nice and quiet which was nice however there were some safety and comfort concerns. There were no fire extinguishers in the room and none of the appliances have had their electrical test and tag done since 2016. The air conditioning also did not work and when I reported it to the staff nothing was done to fix it.

This accomodation was absolutely disgraceful. The room was filthy, run down overall very poor. I booked for three nights and left after the first night. I made to complaints and nothing was done to rectify the problem. My room wasn’t even serviced for new towels or amenities. Don’t be fooled by the pictures, it’s basically an Indian function centre attached to a motel. Not recommended.

Plenty of space, but room was not kept in good condition. Lots of noise and cigarette smells coming in from outside, late into the night.

I liked waking up to the view of the pool and garden area The carpet and entrance tiles had been updated, nice colors. Bed was comfy and pillows. Good size room with extra setting inside and on the balcony. The restaurant cafe serves Indian dine in and takeaway, I love Indian curries and Nan bread. What i disliked was A heap of males crowding the front entrance to the reception, standing around talking, i had to go through the cafe, as i could not see the entrance. When arriving late at night in the dark it makes it very difficult to see signs. Many smoke butts outside on the ground of the reception entrance, looked rough neighborhood. bathroom requires updating, much wear and tear. Someone tried opening my door through the night, maybe they had the wrong room? People opposite were out on the balcony and were noisy for many hours. Could not find a remote for the cooling, was a switch on the wall beside the bed. No bedside lights, main switch on the wall, The room was very warm and stuffy. Big sliding glass door and windows to the balcony.

value for money, friendly staff and a great food in the restaurant.

So I booked this motel in a hurry due to a rushed trip to Dandenong,all we wanted was a bed and a shower for the night ,upon booking I went back and read all the reviews and started to worry what had we gotten ourselves into 😨!!! Upon arrival I walked into the reservation desk and was greeted by a very friendly gentleman who gave me our key and directed me to our room . Mentally I was now in panic mode .... What was I about to walk in to !!!!! Yes it needs a coat of paint ,yes it's slightly outdated and maybe someone should rehang the drapes lol but it was all we needed and it had clean sheets ,clean towels and was generally clean ... Only thing I would suggest is bring your own pillow ,they are quite thin 😊 But of a rest and we decided it's time to eat ,let's go to KFC it's easy and close we thought ,then I remember they had a restaurant so I popped back to the reservation desk and asked about their food $20 per person buffet sri lankin food ,well omg never tried it before but hey I love hot food ,it was beautiful!!! The service was fantastic,they were so concerned to our needs bringing icy cold strawberry and mint drinks !!!

We stayed here for a week flying in from Brisbane. Photos are outdated. The photos are so deceiving. The room we checked in was dirty, broken Glass, tap was lose ripped wall paper. Tv cabinet was broken and couch had cigarette marks on it. The room stank. I complained and they moved us to another room. We stayed as it was better then the room we were previously at still wasnt the best but they wont refund our money. The place just looked dodgy with different cars driving in and out during the night. I will not recommend this place and definitely wont be returning. Not worth the price we paid for. First few days the place was packed with restaurant guest parking in all the car parks. We couldnt wait to leave.

Absolutely love our stay at the Sandown Regency, exceptional service. Food at the Sri Lankan restaurant The Bungalow was to die for. I'm definitely making this place my favourite so far and cannot wait to go back. Strongly recommend this amazing place
