Charmantes Haus im Park eines denkmalgeschützten Schlosses

We had a wonderful stay at the carriage house of Le Château de Barbeville! It was such a memorable experience to stay in a home with so much history. There was plenty of room for our family of four with two young-adult sons with three bedrooms and two bathrooms. It had everything and more needed for a comfortable stay. It was lovely to be surrounded by so much nature and being awoken by the ringing of the church bells next door. It was ideally suited to visit the D-Day beaches, the lovely town of Bayeux, and we even made day trips to Mont St-Michel, Saint-Malo, Honfleur, Étretat, and Dieppe (where our son's Canadian regiment landed in 1942). Christian was a wonderful host and even invited us into the château for a tour and explanation of its fascinating history. C'était un séjour merveilleux et inoubliable!

We were extremely please with our stay at the Carriage House. There 3 large bedroom suite ideal for multiple couples or families. The kitchen is ideal if your interested in putting the local Bayeux market to work. The location about 2 km from Bayeux is ideal and access to various is extremely convenient. The host is caring and easy to work with. Good value for the money. Highly recommend.

We had a great experience. 3 comfortable bedrooms, nice country kitchen with outdoor space, great hosts and close to Bayeux.

What an amazing property! We thoroughly enjoyed our 4 nights there and wish we could have stayed longer. The house is very well equipped on beautiful grounds. Close to many things. Christian and Marie-Claire are simply delightful.We will definitely return!

We spent a week in the manoir. The hosts were very welcoming. The manoir is spacious and clean, beautifully furnished with a rustic feel and well equiped. The garden is very green and pleasant. Our children loved the tennis court aside from the other leisure activities. Well situated for touristic visits.
