Stayed here for the Spa pool which we have stayed many times before. The pool needs cleaning as it was green and slimy. The room compared to other visits is very disappointing, small and smelly, pillows were dirty with stains and should be thrown out just for starters. The bathroom was alive with mould and the shower hasn’t been properly cleaned in this room for years. Very disappointing considering we have stayed here many times in the past for spa pools and most likely look elsewhere for our future visits.

The best thing about this Motel was the Artesian Bore Pool. We found it absolutely fantastic. A good temperature and being semi indoor it was protected. And free to guests. Great.

Nice clean and comfortable room. They close the gate at night which made us feel safer. They no longer have the car charger which is in their listing, but they let me plug my car into a power point near the pool.

Stay here for the artesian pools. Our room was clean and large but does need some repair work. That wasn't why I chose this place though. They have 3 pools - 2 are artesian, one inside and one outside. The inside pool is great, very clean and you can just relax in the pool or spa and enjoy the treatment of the water. The outdoor pool was also lovely and the large 'normal' pool was great. The groundsman (who was awesome), was happy to stop the cleaning of this pool for me and pull all the gear out of it so that I could have a swim in each pool before we left :)

A very unpleasant end to our holiday. We booked a basic room online for $122 and arrived shortly after 5pm on a Sunday night. The office was closed and the room keys had been left for us. The exterior door step to our room was covered in dead caterpillars and there were plenty more of these on the carpet upon entering the room. The carpet was filthy and not vacuumed and there were multiple cobwebs around the room. The fridge was rusty. The shower, toilet and basin appeared clean however as did the sheets. The room was small, very rundown and poorly maintained. At that point we would have left and tried to get our money back but there was no sign of any staff and we had driven over eight hours already that day. A couple arriving the same time we did were similarly unimpressed. Their daughter had booked them in for five nights but they said they would be returning to Sydney in the morning - “we don’t care about the money”. The property grounds had rubbish, sheets, old furniture and other miscellaneous items littered about and appeared dirty and unkempt. A room with sheets stored was wide open (including to insects). After looking at the pools we abandoned our plan to go for a swim. I recommended the aquatic centre instead to the other couple. We couldn’t get out of there fast enough and left at 5am the next morning. We’ve stayed at countless motels in the $90 - $130 bracket, this would rank in the bottom three. All the positive reviews - ?? not sure where they stayed.

Safe, broken, no lock in bathroom, stayed eight days, room was serviced just once, everyday I asked for toilet paper, coffee, tea and whatever we need in the room as it's been serviced just once in 8 days of our stay, our only consolation is the pool, very quiet and clean. Will not recommend to anyone

Bathroom was not clean, there were shaved hairs all over the walls and floor of shower. Bed covers had dirt marks on them. Bathroom needs complete renovation, whole room was worn and not pleasant. Single beds were hard and base was sagging. Main bed was very comfortable but we wouldn’t stay here again.

Terrible hotel. Don’t waste your money. Has mould all over bathroom, leaking taps and shower. Tv does not work. Exposed wires in bathroom. Rubbish all over the grounds of the property. The bed was clean but everything else wasn’t.

Unfortunately our stay didn’t meet expectations. There were bed bugs, the thermal pools weren’t clean, and there was rubbish and piles of laundry left out in areas visible to guests. Because of this, we won’t be returning.

We optioned to a higher grade room which was basically very good. My usual gripe is with housekeeping, and this one took the cake. The only things done were the beds were made and a new bin liner fitted. The room had not been cleaned and no new towels (only 2 dirty bath & hand towels). My Husband saw the Manager to ask for clean towels and told that the room had not been cleaned. He replied that the cleaners had sick kids. The kitchen had something disgusting in the sink ( 3 large gelatinous globs). The bathroom had no soap, shampoo or conditioner - but plenty of soap residue on the basin and fluff balls around the floor. No vanity plug. No liner in bathroom bin (just 3 pieces of bin spread out on floor). A very dead cockroach between shower & vanity (definitely more than a couple of days old). The overall property is in better condition than when we stayed a few years ago, but, as I say - housekeeping lets a lot of places down.

Good points - Restaurant, artesian pool, clean Bad points - my credit card was charged even though I had nominated to pay at property- no apology was given - I even copped a surcharge for use of it! Room for the price was not great - heater did not work well, bedside light did not work, ‘free’ internet did not work, no tissues provided, no shower screen or curtain for shower- would rate it as 2 star. Am at another motel tonight less than 1/2 the price but ALL of the above work and provided.

Aircon directed straight onto bed so despite need it definitely wasn't user friendly as to minimise discomfort that caused was impossible as room was too hot without it. The bed or a/c outlet needs repositioning. Tired, rundown hotel.

We had no hot water in our room on Wed/Thur. July 2/3 I made staff aware of that on Wednesday afternoon, and was told it would be fixed. It wasn’t. The water was not hot the next morning. When I arrived home after we left the motel I called them as they said they would call me but they didn’t. Sascha/Sarsha answered and agreed the hot water was faulty and a plumber was being called. She offered me a $50 refund, which I accepted as compensation. 12 days later still no refund and I have been told on at least four occasions they will call me back when they speak to their accountant??? But they have never called me back. DO NOT STAY THERE. I have been treated with contempt. There were other issues. But suffice to say the hot water one was enough!

A man working in reception was very apathetic and shouldnt work in hospitality. Looked like he does not even want to work there, tried to double charge us but then noticed we had already paid through Expedia app. Arriving to our room we saw a very outdated interior, dead bugs in drawers, spider webs and dirty cutlery. Only the bathroom looked okay. There was no restaurant as advised - googling showed this motel had a fire half a year ago but nobody mentioned it in Expedia app nor when cheking-in. Only good thing about our stay was the pools - mostly clean with nice warm water. Indoor pool was more like a pool in a tent but still great. Location was also good, specially considering there was no restaurant - Coles was few hundres meters away. Definitely not a 4 star motel, defenitely not worth the money, would not visit again unless renovation done and new more friendly staff hired.

A man working in reception was very apathetic and shouldnt work in hospitality. Looked like he does not even want to work there, tried to double charge us but then noticed we had already paid through Expedia app. Arriving to our room we saw a very outdated interior, dead bugs in drawers, spider webs and dirty cutlery. Only the bathroom looked okay. There was no restaurant as advised - googling showed this motel had a fire half a year ago but nobody mentioned it in Expedia app nor when cheking-in. Only good thing about our stay was the pools - mostly clean with nice warm water. Indoor pool was more like a pool in a tent but still great. Location was also good, specially considering there was no restaurant - Coles was few hundres meters away. Definitely not a 4 star motel, defenitely not worth the money, would not visit again unless renovation done and new more friendly staff hired.

Initially we were in a room that had a problem in the bathroom/toilet. There was a bad rust streak down the wall from the taps, and water was seeping from the wall opposite the shower. This made a permanent puddle in front of the hand basin. We reported this, and were moved to a very good alternative room.

We had no hot water in our room on Wed/Thur. July 2/3 I made staff aware of that on Wednesday afternoon, and was told it would be fixed. It wasn’t. The water was not hot the next morning. When I arrived home after we left the motel I called them as they said they would call me but they didn’t. Sascha/Sarsha answered and agreed the hot water was faulty and a plumber was being called. She offered me a $50 refund, which I accepted as compensation. 12 days later still no refund and I have been told on at least four occasions they will call me back when they speak to their accountant??? But they have never called me back. DO NOT STAY THERE. I have been treated with contempt. There were other issues. But suffice to say the hot water one was enough!

Nice clean and comfortable room. They close the gate at night which made us feel safer. They no longer have the car charger which is in their listing, but they let me plug my car into a power point near the pool.

Stayed 11 years ago with positive results. Thought it would be okay to stay this time. Stayed in the dated room that had had a basic upgrade to a poor standard. Bed was good, a second pillow would be nice, linen and towels were in very good condition, thank you. Attention to detail for cleaning would benefit. Beer bottles and cigarette butts were left from previous customer on back porch table. Informed reception - he rolled his eyes. Rubbish was removed upon our return however table wasn’t wiped down. Restaurant presents well. Lighting in tree was great - saw a possum. Service and food was poor. 25 minute wait between my meal being served and my husbands meal being served with no communication from wait staff, when his meal did arrive, the steak was rare not medium, drowned in gravy and tough to chew, not representing the $49 price-tag. Not apposed to paying city prices providing the quality is there. Overall experience was poor for the price. Convenient to town centre. Pools were accessible and pleasant some extra cleaning and gardening would upgrade the experience (the bindis in the grass- with bare feet are not fun). Courtesy swim towel offered by reception was damp when collected. Property has potential, needs stronger management. We stayed at the other end of town August 2023, where I got superior facilities and service for the same price there. I will not stay ant the Artesian Spa motel again.

The room was clean and fresh - quite small but perfect for the overnight stay we were there for. Comfy bed. No road traffic noise at all. Aircon struggled a little but was fine after a few minutes. Staff very friendly and helpful (I also had an after-hours check-in). Mostly - the thermal pools at this place are amazing and make this place a must stay - just be mindful this motel has been around for quite some time offering this amazing experience, so you will get an “older” traditional small country-style motel room with the experience ❤️

Great place to stay, fantastic artesian spa pools. Great food at the restaurant, we had a lovely meal, our waiter was wonderful. Would highly recommend to anyone. Will definitely be staying here again.

Do not take the cheaper rooms; you will regret it. The breakfast is basic continental, definitely not European style. Then you pay for what you get, and it is adequate. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the rooms are better in the mid-price range and up.

Property seemed a little run down. I think it has seen better days. Carpet needed vacuuming as I discovered after stepping on bindies. If you want crockery or cutlery you need to ask at reception - why not provide a couple of plates and knives and forks? Restaurant is closed due to the kitchen burning down. On the positive side the spa was nice and the bed was big and comfortable.

Motel is a construction site for repairs after a fire in the kitchen so no dinner/breakfast but excellent dinner option within walking is Burke and Wills motel. Baths themselves were nice after a long drive.

I would have liked a blanket to put on the bed as it was a cold night. The TV reception was poor and I only saw about half of the show I was interested in. Breakfast was good though.

Good artesian hot pools on site and a nice restaurant with quality food. Pricing on the beers were expensive. Breakfast was included in the price which was good value, its a case of get what you pay for and there were more expensive rooms available. A good stay.

This was our fourth visit over four years. There was only one reason we kept booking the Artesian Motel was for the artesian indoor and outdoor natural hot pools. This year after three years returning for four days, expecting how it had been on past visits. For three days the two artesian pools were Lukewarm to say the best and on the fourth day a few points were added, but still not what it was in the past. Then came the excuses verging from mild excuses to lies. I checked out the final lie when told by management it was, the Artesian water levels were lower than normal, and management had to close it down daily for a set period. I checked this out with the local council. They advised me there were no restrictions on drawing artesian water, a lie. On arrival we paid for a larger unit with a kitchenette unbeknown to us these units did not receive any sunlight, so we requested a unit that had the sun most of the day. A downgrade, but no offers of any sort of refund or other benefit to offset our financial loss. We were not the only visitors who had returned from visits, many we spoke to were also extremely disappointed and like us will never return.

When we arrived and finally checked into our room we found the toilet had not been cleaned and had not been flushed. Later to turned on the air conditioner but it did not work. When we wanted a coffee for both of us there was only 1 cup and saucer in the cupboard and NO teaspoons. I went to reception to complain however no one was there on a message to phone. This was at 4.15 pm. I phoned but after holding on for about 3 minutes it went to voicemail. I left a message advising we did not steal the other cups or teaspoons plus the air conditioner was not working. I fully expected to receive a knock on the door or a phone call but NOTHING. We both like to sleep on 2 pillows each however the only one each provided were paper thin and there we none in the cupboard. On the next morning the toilet seat broke. I would rate the motel as about 1-1.5 stars and there Hot pools were NOT VERY HOT
