It served its purpose, £90/night and can’t complain really. And the bar prices were surprisingly reasonable,I expected to have my pants pulled down for a pint of Stella but was pleasantly surprised at £5.40.

Room was ok. No creamer or milk with the instant cofffee in the room I ate in the bar. Just a burger, I wanted mustard but there wasn’t any. Breakfast was help yourself. Sausages, bacon and hash browns were only warm and had obviously been lying a long time.

On arrival my wife and I and our dog were greeted by extremely friendly staff. A present of a doggy bag contains two treats, pop bags and a tennis ball was given to us. Very thoughtful. Today there are so many places that say they are dog friendly but are only dog tolerant. Not so here. She was allowed to be with us while we sat for a coffee and for breakfast in the morning. Staff could not have been nicer and made our stay with remembering. The room was as you would expect. Basic and budget. It was very clean and tidy and the bed was very comfortable. It's a no cash hotel which does fine when purchasing extras drinks or snacks. Breakfast was basic but of a good standard. Considering most other hotels charge minimum £20 per person for it then it really was a great deal to be included in the price of the stay. Given the amount of cleaning that was going on I did wonder about the £30 additional charge for our small dog. I don't think that there would be more of an additional clean of the room to justify that amount. That's just a small things and we would definitely go back there.

Accessible room booked which proved to be very good for our needs, bathroom facilities were exceptional. Breakfast was good with a fair choice of hot and cold food. Food menu available at the bar in the evening was very poor , fortunately there was a choice of nearby restaurants. overall our stay was very good and we will certainly use this hotel again in the future.

Awfull warm (24 degrees celsius in the room), no aircon- just a little fan, the carpet was stained and one of the beds as well, low pressure in the shower, breakfast really bad- hardly anything to choose from- not even real orange juice

This stay wasn't to our usual standard. The room smelt strongly of germoline. The bathroom room mirror hadn't been cleaned properly. When the bathroom mirror steamed up their was a message from previous guests. Lastly the hairdryer in the room didn't work. I wouldn't stay at this hotel again.

Breakfast was poor, everything was dry, gross, stale and I barely ate. Cutlery was dirty as were the plates and tables. Staff were no help and not friendly. Simply told us the bare minimum and to crack on ourselves, didnt even get seated for breakfast the woman walked off. Hotel room was meh, hairs on the bed, dirty glasses, the bathroom stunk had to keep the door closed. Water was awful and smelt awful too couldn’t even brush my teeth with it because of the smell. Ive stayed at multiple of this companies hotels and this one is definitely the worst by far. Total crap, fully regret my stay. Will never return to that location, waste of a couples weekend and £100. £100 FOR LESS THAN 24 HOURS IN HOTEL THAT LOOKS BARELY GOOD ENOUGH FOR A COUNCIL ESTATE

Property is in a good area for travel and nearby places of interest. Property was not clean, the carpets in the room were filthy, hallways were not clean at all. Staff was friendly and helpful with the exception of Ellison. He is in dire need of cheering up, showed no motivation for anything or anyone at all. He was on his phone when we were having breakfast and just the general aura of this boy was not good. He should not be at the front of house. Breakfast was OK, bit disappointing with quality of the food. The beds were not great but not bad either. Would I stay again? Not sure but probably not

Modern, very clean and tidy and comfortable rooms and bed. Room was spacious and well equipped. It was quite warm but there was a fan which solved this.

Hotel was spotless, staff were fab, only downsides were the bed was unbelievably hard so we barely slept, water pressure in the shower was so low I could wash my hair, and with the weather as hot as it was and no air con in the room it was unbearably hot in there. Purely down to how uncomfortable bed was we won’t book another hotel from this chain.

Overall it was a great stay, breakfast was nice, Staff were really welcoming and helpful. Room was good but we found bed a little uncomfortable with no choice of pillars. I would definitely recommend as good value for money and would use again.

The location was ok, close to the Metro Centre & other shopping options. The room was a bit tired looking and SO hot, the options are having the heater on or off, theres no thermostat to adjust the room temperature. The bed was a double which was rather cosy! Probably my fault for not checking that on booking. Breakfast is included, it was ok. The hash browns were a bit soggy & the bacon was underwhelming. Staff at breakfast seemed more intent on loudly discussing their lives in the kitchen than being attentive to the guests. You can buy some drinks & snacks but they dont take cash & charge a preminum - £2.95 for a 500ml bottle of pop felt too much.

We stayed here for the third time in a few years and on the whole we were happy with it. The receptionist wasn't very friendly on our arrival and we felt unwelcome which isn't usual for here. Although the room had a fan and the curtains had been closed it was still very warm indeed. The fan was so noisy we had to turn it off during the night in order to get to sleep so it was very hot. We took the duvet out of the cover in order to be a bit cooler. The bed seemed smaller in width than I remember it.

Been staying here regularly for over 16 years and until now the rooms have always been clean, comfortable and in good order, and the staff always friendly, but just stayed for 2 nights 4th & 5th March in room 333 T block and was really quite disappointed in the shabbiness of the room , heating was obviously not working so a plug in convector heater was in place, the traditional fitted desk lamp was missing, the bathroom floor tiles were loose and ungrouted in main section, no towel hook on the wall, no bathroom bin, bathroom extractor fan not working so everything steamed up, shower water temperature fluctuated from warm to very cold then back again every 20 seconds or so. I think I'll try Premier Inn next time after this experience

Nice comfortable stay with easy access to Newcastle City Centre by 15 mins on the bus, bus stop is on the main road just outside the hotel. Included breakfast was also very good and plenty of it, the hot croissants were excellent. Great staff who were very friendly and helpful - thankyou

We always book into this Hotel when we are visiting Newcastle. We know we always get value for money. Love their beds and breakfast included in price is excellent. Staff are 1st class and so friendly. We have stayed so many times we nearly know them all, and they are all favourites.

Hotel nice Check in was little slow,1st lady said room wasn't ready,as sge said didnt realise i wanted sofa bed made up.She said would sort it,then seemed to go off shift.So had coffee and after about 40 minutes later i went back up to see if ready,an young lad said so sorry i didnt realise you had been waiting so previous lady obviously hadnt told him .He was great though got us checked in right away.So think previos lady could've done more to make the other staff aware.Apart from that hotel was great.Room nice and clean.There was also another great male member of staff that was on night shift i was chatting to him the 2nd night as my son was joining us at the hotel later that evening.He was great guy and really helpful to my son saying there would still be few breakfast items available to him,as he had to leave just after 5am.Wish i wouldve got the 2 male staff members names as they were amazing

We had a horrible experience at this hotel. Arrived at 00:45 following a long, delayed flight into NCL. The receptionist greeted us with "you're lucky to be able to check in, my system is closing down". He wasn't being sarcastic, he was deadly serious. He told us off for not sending him a message to let him know we would be late (how he expected me to have done that whilst sitting on a plane for 5 hours I am not sure). Nowhere on the website for this hotel does it say that check-in time is reatricted, and seeing as this hotel is fairly close to a large airport I doubt this is a rare occurrance. Having spent a long day travelling I just said 'look i just want to check in', he got shirty and wouldnt look at me again. The room was sweltering (no air con) and the double beds are very small so we got very little sleep. Breakfast is mediocre. Don't come here.

Son forgot his charger, went to front desk and she looked for an older apple charger for my son, couldn't find one. 5 minutes later knocked on room door with a charger from another staff member for him to use for the night. Very nice of them.

I booked this hotel for a short stay mainly for the free parking, and I really just wanted a place to stay. It's a far old walk to the city centre, so if you'd like somewhere within easy reach of the city centre, then you'd to look elsewhere. The Metro Centre is however a fairly easy walk away.

This hotel is within easy reach of the Metro Centre either on foot or by car. Its location is excellent for walks along the river. It is easily accessed from the A1. The rooms are a bit sparse but comfortable. The breakfast is good. And most importantly for us the place is dog friendly.

Breakfast was poor, everything was dry, gross, stale and I barely ate. Cutlery was dirty as were the plates and tables. Staff were no help and not friendly. Simply told us the bare minimum and to crack on ourselves, didnt even get seated for breakfast the woman walked off. Hotel room was meh, hairs on the bed, dirty glasses, the bathroom stunk had to keep the door closed. Water was awful and smelt awful too couldn’t even brush my teeth with it because of the smell. Ive stayed at multiple of this companies hotels and this one is definitely the worst by far. Total crap, fully regret my stay. Will never return to that location, waste of a couples weekend and £100. £100 FOR LESS THAN 24 HOURS IN HOTEL THAT LOOKS BARELY GOOD ENOUGH FOR A COUNCIL ESTATE

Breakfast in the morning however wasn’t great. It was plentiful but unfortunately the hot food selection wasn’t even warm.

Overall we had a good experience at this hotel, we only stayed 1 night. As a company-wide policy they don't provide bottked drinking water in the rooms, however jugs of iced water are available on request. We found the breakfast area very, very crowded at 9am, on the plus point they gave us vegetarian sausages as part of the breakfast package.

The thing that impressed us most was the fact that the 'continental breakfast' was in fact a full breakfast. My husband was able to fill his plate with bacon, egg etc and there was a great selection of pastries, toast, fruit etc. We were really pleased.

Overall, it was a nice comfortable stay for a long weekend. Staff were very friendly but the vegetarian (egg free) choice at breakfast, was somewhat limited. The rubber seal in the shower cubicle needs attention, but the Dove hand and shower gels, were fab.

A quiet & comfortable one nights stay & great value for money. Our room was nice & clean, the shower & toilet area appeared recently refurbished. Plenty of amenities in the room & extra tea/coffee & milk etc available from a table in the reception. Self service buffet breakfast was nice decent & plentiful considering it’s included in the room rate, it was very busy at 8.30am but staff managed it Ok. Free parking is another bonus along with the very close proximity to the Metro Centre (easy walk) & not too far from Newcastle. There is a regular bus to/from the Metro Centre & Newcastle just outside the hotel. There is a pub, KFC & Sambuca Restaurant along side the hotel, just a shame the immediate area is becoming a bit untidy with the derelict TGI Friday’s & overgrown hedges/walkways.

Wasn't sure what to expect but was pleasantly surprised. Upon arrival we were checked in by think her name was Susan who was lovely & welcoming. As we're all the staff unfortunately didn't get their names. Room was lovely better than expected only disappointment was the plant based teabags in he room so coffee it was & pleased to see decaf option no other option of tea available that we could see but was more options at breakfast which I was happy about as love my tea. Bed was super comfortable. Breakfast is buffet options with the options of cereals ,fruit , fresh fruit, yoghurt toast & muffins disappointed no mushrooms but was good. Plenty of parking . Would definitely stay again. Only bad point & this has nothing to do with hotel but next door is TGIs building which is currently shut but when we walked over to the Metro centre the path was blocked most of the way with overgrown bushes which meant we had to walk on the wrong side of the barrier which was fine until we got to the roundabout luckily wasn't too busy but at peak time would be very dangerous but as I said this is in no way anything to do with Holiday inn . Would definitely book & stay again if in the area
