Great pool. Very clean. Excellent staff. Beautiful view of the ocean and boardwalk. Nice balcony. We were warned not to walk even a few blocks to restaurants after dark.

A secure functional chain hotel with plenty of parking. Our room was large although the bathroom felt a bit dated. The staff on reception didn't go out of their way to explain what facilities the hotel had or what was in the surrounding area. We found the swimming pool by accident. They didn't have a map available either. On our first night we ate in the hotel restaurant. Although for most of the time there was only us and one other table the service was slow. When our meals eventually arrived they were no more than luke warm. It took over 20 minutes for a bottle of sparkling mineral water to arrive. When it did it clearly had been shaken up on it's way as it sprayed out all over the table. After we had signed the bill so that it could be put on our room the waitress came to our room and said that we had to pay for it separately. We ate out on our second night! Although there were a lot of notices about saving water due to a drought when our room was serviced the towels were changed, even though we were only staying two nights, and the face cloth disappeared.

The waves on the Indian Ocean are free when you stay here. Super nice facility. One wing was being renovated; all rooms face the ocean. We appreciated being able to do our own laundry (no charge). Would definitely stay here again.

One of the very few hotels on the beachfront with sea-facing balconies and convenient parking outside your room. Wide open spaces and a feeling of freedom as the property is huge. Walking distance to beach front, swimming beach, promenade, casino, mall and restaurants!

Unfortunately our very special occasion only ended up with disappointment and food poisoning from undercooked frozen (as we were informed later by staff) fish which was sent back along with my undercooked steak. We reported the fish to the manager who did not offer any compensation and informed us he would investigate and get back to us - we're still waiting well after 2 weeks. Our last night - disappointment again - and we unfortunately decided to eat at the restaurant again - to play it safe ... salad and pizza. Very underwhelming - the pizza base tasted as if it were a standard supermarket base and not a fresh base. The wine list became limited as several of the wines we chose on different occasions were out of stock. The room was clean, but we needed to air the room each day due to the cleaning agents being used. The pillows were new, but either too large or too soft - frustrating - but they did provide us with extra soft ones to sort it. Parking, security was all good. In general, the staff were friendly and helpful. The beach views from the balcony are excellent, though, not their fault, the traffic noise is continuous. The gym, while small, was adequate for a small workout and it was nice to be able to use the bikes while looking out to the ocean.

O Hotel está precisando de umas renovações… o quarto é bem espaçoso mas as condições do banheiro e dos móveis do quarto estão desgastados… os cabides de plásticos estavam sujos e não tive coragem de usá-los. Mas a boa vontade e cordialidade dos funcionários é ímpar!

It was absolutely amazing. We have no complaints at all. the place was nice and clean. The home service was also impressive. Excellent view, especially to watch the dolphins passing by in the morning.

We booked two rooms, but Our both rooms were in the basement with walking out door. The smell was terrible, we asked to switch to the room above ground, the staff was very rude and refused. If we knew the rooms were in the basement, we definitely would not book it. Bad experience!!!

The Courtyard hotel was a delight to stay in. The highlight was the staff. Incredibly helpful and friendly. The rooms have recently been upgraded and are quite spacious with an outdoor terrace, kitchenette, comfortable bed. Stones throwaway from beach, casino, boardwalk mall. Highly recommended a stay here

I find it frustrating that when I book through hotels.com I get the worst room in the hotel. Hotel is beautiful, but I had a view of the casino carpark at the back end of the hotel with the casino generator/aircon making a huge noise 24h.

Staff was not friendly. Confused our reservations with the day before, thinking we had been a no show, so had to get that figured out. NO AIRPORT SHUTTLE INCLUDED. Costs $20 to schedule a shuttle one way.

I gifted a couple an overnight stay at this property as part of their wedding gift. I paid a suite with a queen bed. When they arrived at the property the staff was rude and unwilling to help. They gave the newlyweds a 2 twin beds small room. I paid for a better room. Really disappointed 😱. I need a refund.

Unfortunately our very special occasion only ended up with disappointment and food poisoning from undercooked frozen (as we were informed later by staff) fish which was sent back along with my undercooked steak. We reported the fish to the manager who did not offer any compensation and informed us he would investigate and get back to us - we're still waiting well after 2 weeks. Our last night - disappointment again - and we unfortunately decided to eat at the restaurant again - to play it safe ... salad and pizza. Very underwhelming - the pizza base tasted as if it were a standard supermarket base and not a fresh base. The room was clean, but we needed to air the room each day due to the cleaning agents being used. The pillows were new, but either too large or too soft - frustrating - but they did provide us with extra soft ones to sort it. Parking, security was all good. In general, the staff were friendly and helpful. The beach views from the balcony are excellent, though, not their fault, the traffic noise is continuous. The gym, while small, was adequate for a small workout and it was nice to be able to use the bikes while looking out to the ocean.

A secure functional chain hotel with plenty of parking. Our room was large although the bathroom felt a bit dated. The staff on reception didn't go out of their way to explain what facilities the hotel had or what was in the surrounding area. We found the swimming pool by accident. They didn't have a map available either. On our first night we ate in the hotel restaurant. Although for most of the time there was only us and one other table the service was slow. When our meals eventually arrived they were no more than luke warm. It took over 20 minutes for a bottle of sparkling mineral water to arrive. When it did it clearly had been shaken up on it's way as it sprayed out all over the table. After we had signed the bill so that it could be put on our room the waitress came to our room and said that we had to pay for it separately. We ate out on our second night! Although there were a lot of notices about saving water due to a drought when our room was serviced the towels were changed, even though we were only staying two nights, and the face cloth disappeared.

If you'd like to stay on a construction site with a team of under 20 rugby players, then this is the place for you !! This is the second time we stayed at the courtyard, first time my partner got food poisoning, but we though we'd give it another go. Big mistake - the place is being renovated and we were not informed. So many things wrong - the in room safe can just be lifted out and taken, no privacy hole in the door, no phone to front desk which would have been nice when the fire alarm went during our second night. Lounge closed. Gym closed. Pool (technically) closed. Lounge in the lobby and stunk of building materials. Restaurant, which we had to share with the rugby team, was a mess, disorganised and meals were well under what we would have expected for what we paid. The staff really didn't semm to care about the problems. So very disappointing, especially as this was a very special occasion for us. We had another 2 bookings for the courtyard as part of our SA trip this time and needless to say - both of which we cancelled and found far better accommodation. Will we stay at the courtyard on our next visit to SA? Good question but I thnk you know the answer !

Room service was not very effective- I'd place an order on their app, but the app wouldn't always update if the order had been received or not (it's supposed to update the user with this info). I was required to use my CC on the app, but when my food was delivered, they'd ask again for payment. All of this made me uncertain if my initial payments went through or not, or if I'd be paying twice for my meals. The room service personnel did say I could send a screenshot of my order to the front desk to alleviate this uncertainty. The staff was happy to confirm my room service orders every time I called them, but I'd typically have to call to follow up on my orders after placing them on the app. Other than that, everything was great! The staff and room service concierge were extremely friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay here again.
