Los Arcos hotel it’s the best one on playa Los muertos! The Spa was amazing experience and the friendly staff were very nice!

The hotel and staff were great. It's just a short walk to the Malecon, and there are plenty of shops and food stands nearby, which made everything very convenient. My only complaint is that the pool doesn’t open until 10 a.m., and you have to go out to the beach to get and return beach towels. Not a big deal, but a bit inconvenient. Beach towels need to be returned in order to check out no exceptions unless you want to pay a fee. Overall, I really liked the hotel and would stay here again if the price is right.

Perfect location in the Romantic zone/old town with an ocean view and located on the beach. Walking distance to all the sites for first time visitors. Tons of nearby restaurants. Family friendly, but also separate pool for adults only. Friendly locals, happy to let us practice our Spanish. Plenty of chairs by the pool and beach. Pool side bar with 2 happy hours. Loved it.

The hotel is very very pretty, clean, the pool is beautiful, rooms are perfect size. Parking is the worst I have ever experienced. You pretty much have to find parking out in the street yourself, HUGE inconvenience. Internet is also horrible, nonexistent. I was told it’s because too many people are on at the same time. You would think a hotel that size would have an internet carrier with the capacity to accommodate such a huge audience, but no. Price and location is very ideal but not staying there again. I would recommend if you don’t have a vehicle to park and don’t care to be without internet service while there.

Room was clean. Mattress was hard as a rock, they should probably start replacing to new mattresses soon. Resort is in perfect location, everything you need. Staff at resort were excellent. We didn’t do all inclusive, not much point with all the restaurants in the area unless you’re a heavy drinker then all inclusive plan might be for you. Beach is amazing get there at 745am and Pedro will get you a chair and umbrella. Place is wicked, stayed with my wife and daughter.

Overall, the stay was fine. Rooms are smaller and dated. We did the all inclusive plan and the buffet is the only restaurant included with a night at one of the other restaurants for every three nights stayed. The buffet food was fine, different choices, different nights, but tended to get old after a week. Dinner at the upgraded restaurant was limited to choice of either salad or soup, a choice of 1of 4 entrées and choice of 1 of 2 desserts. Skirt steak was very good. Alcohol drinks were very good and available. Staff was nice. Location was in romantic zone, which can be quite busy with lots of people. One of the 2 elevators seem to be down at different times during the day which was inconvenient.

Pool needs to be cleaned more often throughout the day. Lots of debris floating.

Beach view was beautiful. Chair or seating access both on the beach and pool area was too limited for the number of guests and rooms. People would throw their towels on the chairs at 8 am and never come back to use them. It wasn't a a very fair way to use the amenities. The staff was friendly, and our cleaning lady, Angelique, was fabulous! The shower was nice, but the water kept going from hot to cold while taking a shower, no matter what time of day. Overall, we enjoyed ourselves, but didn't like the pool issues, and didn't like having to wear a plastic bracelet even though we did not choose the all inclusive package for food and drink.

Overall good experience. Clean room, clean facilities, nice service staff and great location. Front desk staff seemed to be a bit under staffed so check in and out was a bit slow. Make sure to not remove your wrist band until checkout. We took ours off and threw in trash and they made us search through the trash to retrieve to complete the check out. All inclusive deal worth it, good drinks and food was solid, nobody got sick! Area around the hotel feels safe at day and night. Lots of fun bars as well in the area. All and all, if you like this area- its good spot to stay

I love this hotel's location on the beach and in the heart of the bars and restaurants that i enjoy. I don't get the "all inclusive" package because there are so many options off property. I remember 30 years ago it looked a bit tired, and it still is a bit tired with."good enough" repairs evident in and it of the unit. But, i find it comfortable, quiet, good a/c, acceptable water pressure and hot water. The staff is very pleasant. The restaurant Maximilian out front is very good and reasonably priced for breakfast or a gourmet dinner. My only complaint is that the limited number of pool chairs are reserved or otherwise "claimed" early each morning.

The staff were very good. They work well with the tools they have. That being said! We were first put in a room that was not what was advertised! The door frames had a gap that you could easily see through to the patio. The rooms were very old, hair, toilet broken, shower only had hot water, I pulled the blow dryer off of the wall, bees swarmed the hall, smell of poison near dead bees in the morning and cockroach! Needless to say we moved to the other side of the property and much better. Be warned

The lack of cleanliness around the pool area was disappointing as well as the hallways and the stairwells. Rooms were decent but definitely run down.

Clean room, friendly staff, beautiful resort

Room 135 needs cleaning and changing tje curtains, it is molded and disgusting. The ac was not working properly and smelled old and also, that room has a weird painting tjat did not make us sleep for twoo nights. We were moved to tje second floor but had cockroaches so we decided to check out.

Very dirty, smelled humid and like mold, roaches. Would not return nothing like the pictures.

Pool was out of order. Room was smelly. Towels were dirty and dingy. No security hotel felt unsafe. Room doors are flimsily and hollow.

Clean and fresh smelling rooms, wonderful staff throughout the resort, convenient location in a fun area of town. Definitely try the associated restaurant Kaiser Maximilian!

The property needs a huge upgrade. The bathrooms are dirty and smell of mold. We didn't get our room cleaned daily or our water The towels were old and discolored. An item went missing the first day Called maintenance to fix the edge and thrg never came. The balcony door handle was hanging off. Overall a great location but I would not recommend staying

I was very disappointed with this resort. The room was a dump. Wires hanging out of the wall with light bulbs. Laundry room was located below the room. Dryer vent was on the balcony. Running into housekeepers going to and from the room. The safe was broken. Found a cockroach in the room. I will not be back or recommend this resort.

My first time here, I stayed 3 weeks and I loved it! The rooms were clean, the beds and linens were comfortable and very clean. I did not want a 5 star experience..I wanted to immerse myself into the local culture. The people were so friendly and as a 72 yr old woman, solo traveler I felt safe at all times.it was family friendly. I love it that i could walk everywhere...whether from the beach or from the street. The hotel staff were so friendly and accommodating. I will be back!

Great location close to good restaurants. It has a great pool and restaurants. The rooms are soooo old and dated. The showers are short so if you're over 5'10 you'll have to suck, has some issues with the shower water pressure cutting in and out. There was some noise from clubs nearby but they stopped around 11

Room was clean a little small but the location was great for Halloween and Dio de Los Muertos.

Room was noisy,could not sleep from street noise.

We had a lovely view from out 3rd floor room. However the room was disappointing. Old worn out furniture. Hardly any electrical outlets and the outlet in the bathroom didn't work. I wa charged for a beach towel because I left it in thd bar area, even though I was advised the towel was returned to the towel station. The bar and restaurant service was very good. We probably won't return.

We stayed in a newly remodeled room, very spacious, nice bathroom. Good cleaning service.

Old, dated, and very small rooms

We were staying in room 238 and it was very noisy, below the balcony was some kind of air conditioning unit the ran 24/7. Otherwise the property was great!

Family oriented hotel with amazing staff. Yolanda from concierge was very helpful and provided us with great costumer service. Unfortunately I can’t say the same about the management. Very poor maintenance of facilities (clogged sinks, leaking AC, our safe had no batteries, squeaking doors etc..)

Conveniently located in the heart of Zona Dorado on the Malécon. Friendly & helpful staff who provided excellent service both in the restaurant & on the beach. The buffet always had plenty of choices & there are many other restaurants & pubs close by for other options. The hotel was always kept clean. There were always beach chairs available. The rooms are a little older & smaller. There are a LOT of vendors on/along the beach. We would definitely go back.

I love that it’s in the middle of the Malecon. You can walk to all the little vendors. I love the service. The waiters are very nice. The only thing I think they should work on is on the buffet. Maybe put hash browns in the morning waffles maybe in the afternoon flautas sopes chiles rellenos but the buffet does need more options if you’re looking for a affordable place to stay in Vallarta I really recommend this place and don’t get me wrong. The food they did have was good. It just needs a little more options.

Amazing location, right downtown very close to everything. A few things to note during our 9 day stay at Playa Los Arcos that differed from other all inclusive resorts we have stayed at: - there is only one restaurant buffet style to eat at here, the food was good and plenty of options, but we did end up eating out a few nights for variation. The other two restaurants on the property are not apart of the all inclusive- something that was not specified until we got here. - the maid service is fairly poor- asked for more shampoo/toilet paper/towels and water bottles and they never came, to make up our room we had to ask (unlike other all inclusive we have stayed at) -when we asked the lobby for more water bottles we were told that the two in our room upon arrival were complementary one time only - room service is extra charge, unlike other all inclusive resorts we have stayed at it was included hence the “all inclusive” - there are no drinks (alcoholic or non alcoholic) in the fridge - servers at the restaurant (minus one) was poor, felt ignored every meal even with the all inclusive bracelets on. Took 30 minutes to get a drink. Since the all inclusive restaurant is also a restaurant for the public they paid more attention to those customers not from the resort. - drinks were very good- Alexander and Aaron are the best bartenders there! -beach vendors bother you every 30 seconds We came here for the older, cultural vibe and we got it!

The resort and staff were very professional and friendly and very helpful. The location was very convenient with various restaurants, spa and sights to see within walking distance. My only requests is for the front desk to have an accessible First aid kit. Nothing serious, but I needed an alcohol wipe and bandage for my foot. I step on a small sharp rock while inthe beach at the resort. Still 5 stars!!

Great location in the heart of PV with many quality restaurants in the area. A good value for the money and is beachfront.

This property was centrally located. It is next to the pier and had lots of great food options available. Had a wonderful week, just wish i could stay longer.

We had a great getaway at Playa Los Arcos. The style of the hotel is beautiful and makes you feel like you’ve escaped. Our room was not large but it was very comfortable. Having the sink separate from the rest of the bathroom was nice for getting ready. The hotel is situated right in the heart of downtown with a nice piece of beachfront. It was easy to walk everywhere and very safe. We met so many people who come to the hotel year after year and we know why. The size of the hotel is on the smaller side but felt boutique-ey. The staff was all very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our meals at the buffet. It was quite small if you are used to big resorts but there was always something yummy, new and fresh. We ate at the a la carte restaurant one evening and had a lovely dinner. One small thing I would suggest to make the rooms more comfortable would be to add a full length mirror in each room. Our room backed onto the street and was a bit noisy in the evening but it always stopped around 11 and didn’t cause us any issues.

Location, location, location. Playa Los Arcos has a great location, Playa de los Muertos beach access, numerous great restaurants nearby, and walking distance to the nightlife action.

The property is on The Romantic Zone the perfect location.

4 star Hotel in a 5 star location with lots of good restaurants within easy walking range. Only hotel right on the beach with umbrellas and loungers in the area.

Staff is very friendly. Food is decent for the price you pay for all inclusive. Beer options are limited, only 2 offerings. Plenty of mixed drink options. Luis at pool bar is awesome. The lady that makes omelets is very friendly:

Walking distance to everything which was good. I didn't like that all inclusive meant only 1 restaurant.

Just returned to the States from a 7 night stay at Los Arcos. We had the all inclusive plan so meals and all drinks were included . The made to order omelet station was fabulous. The buffet options were super for breakfast and dinner. We chose to eat at the pool snack bar for lunch everyday to have fresh made guac and pico de gallo and fresh made tortilla chips. yum!! The hotel is un a U shape with pools all down the middle. The infinity pool is for adults only. There is a wading pool, hot tub and regular pool with loungers in the water and a waterfall. All fabulous for cooling off many times after walking the town. The bars are open around 10 am. All staff members super friendly, including housekeeping. The room furniture is very dated but only in them to sleep. We had the top floor with large deck with loungers and wet towel rack, table and chairs. loved it! Small fridge and they supply 2 bottles of water a day. The bathroom is nice with shampoo and body wash bottles. Safe in the closet was very nice! Taxi to the airport at the front door for $25 US. Concierge will schedule excursion. We did the Razr tour with Canopy. So much fun! Around $350 US for 2. Beautiful view. Recommend. We stayed 7 nites so rcvd 2 free "special dinners" off the menu on the outdoor patio. Oh my, so delicious! Had the steak and shrimp. Loved it both nights! Step right onto the sidewalk to walk the Malecon and the Los Muertos Beach Pier is just steps away. Beautifully lit up at night. Stay here!

I wanted to like this place. All the all inclusive food was only buffet food. There were flies there. We did have 2 meals at a sit down restaurant but it was the same limited menu both times. Cleaning staff was attentive but the waiters were not. We got sick with vomiting and diarrhea for 2 days. We did discover that they have a sister property across the street (Casa Susana )that has a tiny pool but with shade. We didn’t go back to the beach as it was peaceful. We came on a packaged trip that included airfare. Read all reviews before deciding.

Same food over and over

This is my 3rd time and it’s been consistently a good experience. The restaurant on site with the buffet is amazing. My only suggestion is the adult pools. The stairs need to have better safety. I actually slipped & fell on my way out walking down the steps. It’s gets really slippery.
