Centara Villas Samui

Dejlige små villaer med egen terrasse. Stranden er også skøn, dog trist at det flyder med affald så snart man går få meter til begge sider. Pool området kunne godt trænge til en kærlig hånd - ikke specielt hyggeligt at ligge der. Ligesom plastik liggestole ikke pynter på den skønne strand. Ligeledes er der en skøn spa med gode priser og meget serviceminded personale. Personalet i baren var knap så imødekommende og deres de benyttede sig aldrig af frisk frugt til drinks - desværre.

This was our 10th time to Samui and normally try new areas each time… big mistake this time! We had booked 7 nights but after 2 nights we decided life is too short and found somewhere else to stay for the remainder of our time on Samui. The photos are not true to life, the hotel is very old and needs lots of money spent on it. Restaurant food was average and expensive for what you got. Example: we shared a pizza for lunch and it was like a supermarket frozen one. We had just had 2 weeks in Bophut and the difference in quality of food for the price was unbelievable. There is nowhere else to eat unless you have a scooter or go into town on the shuttle bus. If you have any issues with walking or using steep stairs this is definitely not the place for you! Pools are old with tiles coming off, not enough sun umbrella's a lot were broken. We had a room with our own pool and sun lounge towels were old and stained. The beach was okay but surrounding area had lots of rubbish with a rundown resort next door. I booked this hotel as we have stayed in other Centara resorts which have been great but not this one. There are so many more nicer places to stay on Samui compared to here in my option. Staff were friendly, aircon in room good, bed okay. We Will not stay here again!

Séjour de 6 nuits. Nous avions pris le parti de choisir un bungalow avec petite piscine privée. Cela s'est avéré une bonne idée car l'hôtel est en pente et beaucoup d'escalier pour rejoindre la grande piscine. La plage totalement impraticable. Pas d'eau et des cailloux. Peut être en raison du coefficient de marée.... Nous avons voulu faire un petite journée à Lamai avec la navette qui c'était avérée payante !! Départ de 11h finalement à 11h3, et ils ont simplement oublié de venir nous rechercher en fin de journée. Nous avons finalement loué un scooter pour bouger car un peu loin de tout. Le personnel très gentil et d'une grande politesse. Restaurant très bien Peut être un peu cher. Très calme

Lovely place and Fantastic staff, very nice quite area which is what we after, Wasn't as happy with the beach, didn't realise that there was so many sharp rocks the water, we thought it was all sand but its not, you need to wear beach shoes at all times, Also there was some renovation work being carried out for the whole 2 weeks which we wasn't aware of, they were renewing the tiles on all the roof's in the Pool/Beach area so when you were trying to relax they were cutting the tiles and using a nail gun all the time which was quite annoying! I know they need to do renovation at some point but we wish we had known about it before we went

Stunning beach front location: 3 lovely pools and good breakfast buffet.

A beautiful tropical hotel complex on a hillside with pools on three levels. Very nice and clean bay for swimming. The breakfast buffet is varied and plentiful. The staff are very friendly and helpful.

Staircation in a middle of a jungle. Very quiet and secluded spot. There are not too many options of eating outside of the resort. The pool had no lounge chairs.

We booked a pool suite villa, and overall, we were pleased. Pool was fairly well maintained, though the rainy days brought a lot of leaves in bits into the pool (we easily scooped them out). The real issue is just...the stairs. My husband recently had a knee injury and there was just no getting around the stairs on the property. It was about 150 to the pool, restaurant, etc and no way to get around it by golf cart or anything. We did have a lovely time at the spa for a couples massage. And the food was generally good and plentiful. We ordered room service to avoid the long journey up and down. BTW -- it's pretty far from things -- there's nothing walkable nearby. But the staff couldn't have been nicer, super helpful to the best of their abilities.

I needed a very quiet break with a beautiful beach and pools to relax in - and Centara Villas was the perfect choice. From the moment I was picked up at the airport by the shuttle, to checking in in the beautiful lobby with a cool drink, to checking out and getting a hug from one of the lovely front desk staff, Centara delivered exceptional service, luxury and beauty everywhere. My first villa had a private pool but two twin beds, not a king. The front desk offered a different villa with a pool and a king bed on my second night, and it was even more beautiful than the first with a view of the ocean from the pool. The spa was beautiful and traditional, with gracious staff who gave me my first Thai massage. It was truly a unique and very relaxing experience. The food was very good and the restaurant was so beautiful, next to the ocean. The staff could be slow at the restaurant sometimes, but whenever I asked for something it was taken care of quickly. The lush surroundings of tropical plants and birds as you walk through the village of villas was so enjoyable. And it was so quiet! One warning though - this hotel has A LOT of stairs, sometimes with no railings. I counted 183 steps from my room to the lobby. If you have mobility or health issues that make stairs difficult, I recommend another resort.

The only things that let this hotel down are the location which isn't really near anywhere, but the hotel does have a shuttle service and the beach is disappointing. The sea is extremely shallow and has a large reef of dead coral not far out which doesn't make for the best view and very still water. Some aspects of the villas could do with some renovation such as sockets and electrical switches. AC can be quite noisy. Good place to stay for a few nights if you just want to do some relaxing around the pool and beach. If you want to be close to other places or within walking distance to shops etc, this is not the place.

Bel établissement, l’architecture de la réception et les maisons individuelles sont belles. Personnel sympa. Par contre le service de ménage laisse à désirer. Ils n’ont nettoyé que partiellement la chambre, poubelles non nettoyées, tapis de sol de SDB pourtant sale , laissé en boule non changé, lits refaits approximativement … bref une déception du service par rapport au standing de l’hôtel. C’est dommage

Upon arrival at Centara Villas, where we had booked for 28 nights plus a further room for 14 nights, we were shown to our villa, the villa was small, smelt of damp and hardly any storage for our 3 suitcases as we were on a 2 month trip. We were eventually given an upgraded room but for an extra 500baht per night. The new villa was slightly bigger but during our stay we had to have the noisy air con unit looked at 3 times. Requested a new hairdryer which was useless twice and despite being told it would be never was and my wife went out a purchased her own. The sunbeds were old and either rusty or the plastic ones would leave white bits all over you and the covers were worn and sagging. We ate at the overpriced restaurant 3 times in the first week and due to the poor quality of the food ate at the beach bar nearby or elsewhere every other night. Drinks were expensive compared to elsewhere and happy hour buy one get one free, you had to pay the service charge and tax on the free drink, so it wasnt free at all. Never came across this at the other hotel or bars we visited. The hotel is slightly isolated and unless you have your own transport the use of there shuttle service was needed or taxi service at an extra cost which would increase if there were less than 4 booked on it. The whole grounds were on side of hill so numerous steps encountered to get around. Staff friendly but appeared under staffed, hotel needs money spent on it as facilities in poor state. Recommended NO.

Really worn Down and NOT a 4 star hotel. Expect a charter 3 star hotel. Room was so dirty and there were No hot water. We payed around 250 euro Per night for a deluxe ocean view villa But very limited ocean view and the room was so small, the door couldnt close fully and even after a “deep clean” of the room it was still dirty.

Bitte beachten: die Bilder stimmen nicht mit denen auf Expedia oder der Hotelwebseite überein. Wir haben die premium Deluxe Kategorie mit eigenem Pool gebucht und ein anderes Zimmer vorgefunden als erwartet. Wir haben das Personal darauf angesprochen und uns wurde versichert, dass es sich um dieselbe Kategorie handelt. Das Zimmer, das wir auf den Bildern gesehen haben, war leider belegt, sodass wir es nicht anschauen Eine sehr freundliche Mitarbeiterin kam extra zu uns ins Zimmer, um uns nochmal darüber aufzuklären, dass wir das richtige Zimmer hätten und unseres sogar größer und besser sei. Ob das wirklich der Wahrheit entspricht können wir leider nicht sagen. Sehr schade, wenn man sich aufgrund der Bilder für das teuerste Zimmer entschieden hat. Unser Zimmer war trotzdem traumhaft schön und sehr sauber. Die Anlage ist ein Traum aber auch sehr abgelegen. Zum nächsten Supermark gibt es ein mal am Tag ein kostenloses Shuttle. In den nächsten größeren Ort gibt es kostenpflichtige Shuttles. Wir haben ein Taxi genommen oder uns einen Roller gemietet. Umliegend gibt es hierzu genug Möglichkeiten. (Auch direkt im Hotel möglich allerdings deutlich teuerer und der Roller war schlechter als bei einem unabhängigen Verleih die Straße runter).Da es ein teureres Hotel ist, sollte man sich im Klaren sein, dass im Hotel alles deutlich teurer ist

Beautiful place & outstanding room with private pool. Food was good with great beach area. Would recommend highly.

All together it was a great stay and we will recommend the hotel. But...1. we asked for a room and pool with lots of shade and got one of the sunniest around! 2. The stairs throughout the hotel are crazy, especially when it's hot or rainy! 3. The mattress had seen better times. It was high in the middle and slanted off to the side, so we pretty much always woke up on the edge. The staff was very nice and attentive. That was definitely a plus. Breakfast could have more variety. It was a bit boring. The landscape around the villas is great and very green, but you shouldn't look underneath any buildings. Kinda trashy, but that's normal in Asian countries, unfortunately! Like I said, overall a very pleasant stay. Thank you to the staff!!!

The following items were excellent: staff Service and knowledge and helpfulness; location and views; pool; garden; food; fire show was awesome, great music; WiFi; gym However the hotel is in need of a desperate refurb. Very old & tired fixtures and fittings need replacing to 4 star standard including: dining area canopy, decking floor everywhere, furniture, bathroom, air-con noisy; paint-work in many places, glass rooves etc…

My aircontioner just randomly stopped producing cold air every day I was there as well

Aircon old and temp goes up and down all the time.

조용하고 휴식하기에 최고의 장소였다. 수영을 못하지만 항상 수영장이 있는곳으로 묵는데 우리가 묵은 방은 풀 빌라처럼 현관문으로 한번 막아주고 풀담으로 사방이 막혀 있어서 정말 프라이빗한 시간을 보낼수 있었다. 개인 수영장도 좋았고 깨끗해서 와이프 사진을 수백장은 찍은듯 하다. 수영장에서 바다가 바라다 보이고 방에서도 수영장과 바다가 보여서 정말 최고의 숙소 였다. 다만 외진곳에 있어서 차가 없다면 조금 번거로울수 있을것이다. 우리는 차로 섬으로 넘어와서 불편함없이 지낼 수 있었고 직원들도 친절하고 주변에 달리 식당도 많지 않아 호텔어서 룸서비스 해서 먹었는데 맛있고 편해서 좋았다. 다음에 다시 간다면 꼭 여기서 묵으려 한다.

Really enjoyed our stay here at the villas. What makes the place exceptional is the freindly staff. They really went above and beyond with helping with our needs making forna peacful trip. Easy to relax here just chill and enjoy your time.

Superb location. Peace and quiet, attentive staff especially Puki and Mam in the restaurant. Plenty of choice on the breakfast buffet and the lunch and Evening menus. Can highly recommend.

Truly beautiful resort, would recommend, especially paying slightly more for the bungalows with private pool. Slight issue with the reception staff at the very end over our laundry but did not dampen too more of the overall experience.

Rolig område og svært imøtekommende personale. SPA avdelingen var glimrende. Kun en restaurant, men stort utvalg og god mat. Mange trappetrinn, så er du bevegelseshemmet er det en utfordring. De rotet bort transportbestillingen fra flyplassen til hotellet:-(

Centara Villas hat einem das Gefühl eines perfekten Urlaubs gegeben. Keine riesige Hotelanlage oder Massen an Liegestühlen am Strand - es war einfach schön. Auch, dass der Strand nicht abgeriegelt war und man dadurch auch andere Leute gesehen hat, nicht nur die Hotelgäste, hat das Urlaubsgefühl abgerundet. Die einzelnen Hütten lagen alle wunderschön in viel Grün und die direkte Lage am Meer hat jeden Bar/Restaurantaufenthalt nochmal mehr verschönert. Die Angestellten sind einfach wunderbar gewesen! So viel Freundlichkeit habe ich noch nie erlebt und man hat sich wirklich sehr, sehr wohl gefühlt. Wir würden immer wieder hin fahren.

Nydelig plass men utenom tigerparken så må du ett stykke for andre opplevelser. Supert for nyforelskede. Litt kjedelig for andre.

The property is situated in a beautiful location, nice beach and the staff are welcoming and friendly. However, its' overall condition is poor, old and rundown. access within the property is also inconvenient.

Many bungalows in a very nice garden, quiet and with an amazing view on one of the most beautiful beach of the island. A feeling to be on a superb place with no constrain

Eine schöne Anlage mit super Personal. Die Umgebung um die Anlage war ab vom Schuss , dafür aber schön ruhig gelegen.

Property has direct beach access. Staff are friendly. Would need a car or scooter if you want to day travel or go out at night. No Grab or Bolt transportation service nearby.

A beautiful tropical hotel complex on a hillside with pools on three levels. Very nice and clean bay for swimming. The breakfast buffet is varied and plentiful. The staff are very friendly and helpful.

Pros. The staff was very good, the location and beach was lovely. Cons. Breakfast was pretty bad considering the price of the hotel and the food and drink options from the bar and restaurant weren't great either. My aircontioner just randomly stopped producing cold air every day I was there as well

I needed a very quiet break with a beautiful beach and pools to relax in - and Centara Villas was the perfect choice. From the moment I was picked up at the airport by the shuttle, to checking in in the beautiful lobby with a cool drink, to checking out and getting a hug from one of the lovely front desk staff, Centara delivered exceptional service, luxury and beauty everywhere. My first villa had a private pool but two twin beds, not a king. The front desk offered a different villa with a pool and a king bed on my second night, and it was even more beautiful than the first with a view of the ocean from the pool. The spa was beautiful and traditional, with gracious staff who gave me my first Thai massage. It was truly a unique and very relaxing experience. The food was very good and the restaurant was so beautiful, next to the ocean. The staff could be slow at the restaurant sometimes, but whenever I asked for something it was taken care of quickly. The lush surroundings of tropical plants and birds as you walk through the village of villas was so enjoyable. And it was so quiet! One warning though - this hotel has A LOT of stairs, sometimes with no railings. I counted 183 steps from my room to the lobby. If you have mobility or health issues that make stairs difficult, I recommend another resort.

Great place to stay at very good value for money. The staff are the best part about this hotel, very friendly, attentive, helpful and fun to talk too. Food was surprisingly good and excellent value for money. Hotel provides free water-sports equipment. The only things that let this hotel down are the location which isn't really near anywhere, but the hotel does have a shuttle service and the beach is disappointing. The sea is extremely shallow and has a large reef of dead coral not far out which doesn't make for the best view and very still water. Some aspects of the villas could do with some renovation such as sockets and electrical switches. AC can be quite noisy. Good place to stay for a few nights if you just want to do some relaxing around the pool and beach. If you want to be close to other places or within walking distance to shops etc, this is not the place.
