Magnificent views from the top of a cliff. Rooms are built into the side of a cliff. No two rooms are alike. Staff is very friendly and accommodating. Multiple pool areas. If you have trouble with stairs, this will be a problem depending on level. There are no elevators or ramps, which is typical of Santorini.

We loved our 3 night stay at the Volcanic View Hotel! The views of the Caldera from our room and everywhere on site is breathtaking! The food is fabulous and I highly recommend the breakfast as part of your package. I used the gym at the adjacent property which was very nice, b it but I would have liked 24 hour gym access to accommodate our schedule. Also, the complimentary shuttle bus to Fiera (the closest town, was a nice bonus, especially since there are not many options for food and entertainment immediately outside of the hotel. I highly recommend the Volcanic view hotel for anyone wanting a unique serene experience!

Property with outstanding view, clean and comfortable. Great breakfast with very helpful restaurant staff. Parking could be a challenge at times. Front dest desk staff was very knowledgeable and helpful in suggesting activities, however no VIP perks were extended

Incredible views. Staff was friendly and responsive. Room was clean and comfortable, although our AC kept turning off at night by itself. The hotel has a shuttle to the town of Thira which is nice but only runs 4 times a day, with the last pickup time at 8pm. Wish there was a later shuttle because you will most likely stay out past dinner time. Breakfast buffet at the restaurant was excellent and service was great.

The name couldn’t be more fitting — the view of the caldera and sunset from all areas (balcony and pool) was one of the best we experienced in Santorini. The staff were warm, attentive, and always ready to assist with anything we needed — from arranging transfers to recommending restaurants and tours. Breakfast each morning was plentiful, with a wide selection and a stunning view to match. Our room was clean, and well-appointed, with that signature Santorini charm. Watching the sunset from our private terrace truly felt like a dream. If you’re looking for a place that captures the magic of Santorini — beauty, tranquility, and hospitality — Volcano View is an excellent choice. Special shoutout to Maria, Demetrius, Costas, Sofia, Alex and that wonderful young chap who I just can’t recall his name at this time (he made me some the creamiest hot chocolate each morning) - all made our stay even more memorable ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I usually do not leave reviews but I just have to for this property. The staff went above and beyond to accommodate my friend and I. Everything about the property is top tier. It is extremely quiet and clean. We went as strangers and left as family.

We had a wonderful stay at the Volcano View Hotel. We had a balcony room that was situated away from the main pool and restaurant so felt very quiet and private. There are multiple pools on the property so we had one right below our room with a nice lounging area. The breakfast was great, gorgeous views, and all of the rooms are built into the cliff side. This location is not right in a town, but does provide shuttles to Fira multiple times a day. I traveled with my fiancé and we really liked how quiet it was near our hotel and that we could travel into the busy towns but return to tranquility. The room service was great, room was very clean. Only once during our stay did we lose hot water but the hotel fixed it very quickly. The front desk staff helped us to rent an ATV to explore the island which was great! We got to see much more of Santorini. Highly recommend this hotel.

Beautiful architecture, well maintained propperty Only downfallswas the room was not soind proof, noose from wind kept us up all night. Areas oitside of hotel is dirty,over crowded, not walkable to the town due to the high heat and humility.

This hotel was amazing! From the views to the staff to the rooms, such a great time. I was welcomed at the reception with the super friendly staff that speaks both English and Greek. Given all the information I needed and also suggestions on things to do around the island. I booked the caldera sunset cruise and it was sooo beautiful! They have staff to help with taking luggage to your room, as there is all stairs. The rooms are spacious and lovely views. The bathroom was nice , felt like a cave with a window next to the waterfall shower, with a view of the caldera, it was amazing. The bed was comfortable and cozy. They had a nespresso coffee machine with two complementary capsules, hair dryer and all the shower amenities - shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, shaving kit, dental kit I also had a little outdoor seating area with a great view as well. The views here were amazing. I came in early may so it wasn’t too busy but what an amazing view of the sunset!!! Even in the morning during breakfast , looking out to the caldera, I couldn’t get tired of it. There’s daily all you can eat breakfast (included with my stay) with a great selection of foods and coffee and juices. The staff was super friendly and amazing - Kwstas was super friendly and a joy to see each morning. This hotel was amazing! From the views to the staff to the rooms, such a great time. I was welcomed at the reception with the super friendly staff that speaks both English and Greek. Given all the information I needed and also suggestions on things to do around the island. I booked the caldera sunset cruise and it was sooo beautiful! They have staff to help with taking luggage to your room, as there is all stairs. The rooms are spacious and lovely views. The bathroom was nice , felt like a cave with a window next to the waterfall shower, with a view of the caldera, it was amazing. The bed was comfortable and cozy. They had a nespresso coffee machine with two complementary capsules, hair dryer and all the shower amenities - shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, shaving kit, dental kit I also had a little outdoor seating area with a great view as well. The views here were amazing. I came in early may so it wasn’t too busy but what an amazing view of the sunset!!! Even in the morning during breakfast , looking out to the caldera, I couldn’t get tired of it. There’s daily all you can eat breakfast (included with my stay) with a great selection of foods and coffee and juices. The staff was super friendly and amazing - Kwstas was super friendly and a joy to see each morning. The attention from the staff was excellent. Especially Niko He provided his personal cell number. He was available round the clock. A defective power converter tripped breakers in our unit at midnight and he came right over from his home to fix it. His recommendations for tours and restaurants were spot on. Room was very clean and spacious Awesome views of the islands and sunset.

The entire staff at VV is uniquely warm, friendly, helpful and respectful. Lori and Petros served us frequently with aplomb. As did all the staff. You cannot beat the breathtaking views accompanied by great service. If we return to Santorini, this is where we will stay. Thank you VV employees, servers, drivers, reception, luggage, breakfast buffet staff, luggage man and maid staff.

The views from this property are amazing. The staff, especially Tina at the front desk, and the morning serving staff in the restaurant were wonderful. The restaurant staff provided tips on places to go, which turned out to be fantastic spots to eat or lay out on the beach. The free breakfast was delicious. The room was cleaned everyday and smelled great. The lobby and the rest of the hotel were very clean. The hotel is a short drive to restaurants and small shops. This was a great place to stay.

Volcano Views in the literal sense gives you one of the best views of the caldera. Absolutely loved the hotel. It’s very conveniently located 6 minutes from Fira by their shuttle bus and 10-15 minute walk to Santo Wines(another amazing view). Definite recommend.

The view and property is beautiful. There is no elevator, therefore, a lot of stairs to walk. It wasnt an issue for me but may be an issue for someone that may be disabled or may need assistance.

This is a beautiful hotel. But if you’re not into stairs this hotel is not for you! The reception is street level but that’s it. Everywhere else requires stairs to get to! But the views are well worth it! There is a shuttle running a few times a day into/from Fira which is convenient. It is only about a half hour walk though into town if you prefer. There is a convenience store across the street. The hotel smells like a spa!

We had a wonderful stay at the Volcano View Hotel. We had a balcony room that was situated away from the main pool and restaurant so felt very quiet and private. There are multiple pools on the property so we had one right below our room with a nice lounging area. The breakfast was great, gorgeous views, and all of the rooms are built into the cliff side. This location is not right in a town, but does provide shuttles to Fira multiple times a day. I traveled with my fiancé and we really liked how quiet it was near our hotel and that we could travel into the busy towns but return to tranquility. The room service was great, room was very clean. Only once during our stay did we lose hot water but the hotel fixed it very quickly. The front desk staff helped us to rent an ATV to explore the island which was great! We got to see much more of Santorini. Highly recommend this hotel.

We stayed for 5 nights. The room was lovely and the view and sunset were very nice. It is very far fetched to say that this property is in Fira. It is at least 45 minutes walk away from Fira. There is a shuttle bus from the hotel but it only runs every 3 hours. The bus driver is a nasty piece of work! He drives off in seconds and does not wait or even look around to see if anyone else would like to board. We were on the bus and someone came and asked him if it was the bus to Fira. He went inside to get the rest of his party and the driver drove off as fast as he could so they could not get on the bus. There is one particularly sleezy breakfast waiter who spends most of his time trying to sell private tours for 250 Euros cash instead of getting cups of coffee and clearing tables. In summary. Nice place but a poor location, nasty shuttle bus driver and a scum ball waiter/salesman let the place down badly.

What I liked was the surrounding natural beauty. The rooms have a lovely view of the Caldera and were clean, the beds were soft -worn out.Most staff were very friendly and did their best to accommodate every need. Some of the front desk were dissmissive to the point of rudeness. ex. I enquired about an excursion and was met with "I told you that already ". I don't believe this is the rule but rather exception that needs attention.The hotel is not centrally located and there is limited public transportation and shuttle service from the hotel to Thira. Having stayed there in 2017 I noticed a substantial reduction in shuttle service, as the hotel is not close to shopping and excursions problematic. Especially considering the food was not great. The breakfast buffet was typical of European hotels offering American/Greek offerings nothing special as compared to other hotels that are not billed as 5 star spa. One dinner I had was atrocious. I had seafood pasta, it was likely frozen and then cooked until it was rock hard. I could not eat it. I was not charged. If you have issues with stairs, there are many. To get to the first pool was about 3 stories of steep stairs. The staff says that it's because It's built on a cliff, except the 2 hotels surrounding it had street side pool and dining. You will have to use stairs to eat and to concierge. It does not claim to be handicapped accessible. Shout out to the hard working staff espc George. I gave less stars because of food/rudeness

The name couldn’t be more fitting — the view of the caldera and sunset from all areas (balcony and pool) was one of the best we experienced in Santorini. The property is beautifully designed with classic whitewashed architecture, pools, and peaceful lounging areas perfect for relaxing. The staff were warm, attentive, and always ready to assist with anything we needed — from arranging transfers to recommending restaurants and tours. Breakfast each morning was plentiful, with a wide selection and a stunning view to match. Our room was clean, and well-appointed, with that signature Santorini charm. Watching the sunset from our private terrace truly felt like a dream. If you’re looking for a place that captures the magic of Santorini — beauty, tranquility, and hospitality — Volcano View is an excellent choice. We stayed here for a week and greatly enjoyed it. The staff went above and beyond to meet our needs, always with a big smile and positive attitude. The hotel has a fabulous view from any angle. Housekeeping was prompt and thorough, and even included freshening up the room and replacing the towels in the evening. The room (junior suite) was spacious, comfortable, very quiet; the bathroom is similarly spacious with plenty of counter space and a large shower. The only thing I missed was a wall mirror. The restaurant has a nice menu, with creative dishes. Across the street there is a mini market, and in short walking distance there is a pharmacy, a Lidl, and a bakery. Relaxing on a chaise by the pool, overlooking the Caldera, and watching the boats and cruise ships go by: priceless! The hotel is located ~2.5 km from Thira, and the hotel shuttle does come in handy. A taxi ride to/from Thira center is €15. Santo winery is in walking distance, and has nice wines and great views. The breakfast buffet was variegated, but there is place for improvement with regards to the eggs offerings as the scramble & omelettes were made with egg substitute rather than real eggs. The laundry services were prompt and reasonably priced. All in all, we had a great stay and felt well taken care of.

I do wish that there were more options for lunch/dinner that weren’t so pricey. My one and only complaint was that the spa tub in the room had an unpleasant stench when turned on. We went there in April right after they had opened so I can imagine it was from not being used during off season, however, it should be something that should be checked prior to having guests stay. I wanted to enjoy the tub since it was too cold to go in the pools and that stench was a huge turn off.

Unfortunately, the service did not live up to the expectations of a five-star resort. The staff was consistently slow, and there was very little pool service. Drinks had to be ordered and picked up from a walk-up bar, and guests were expected to return their own glasses afterward. What was most disappointing was the aggressive approach to tipping at checkout. Given the limited level of service throughout our stay, the pressure to leave an additional tip felt inappropriate and left us with a negative final impression. While the scenery and accommodations were excellent, the service experience fell well short of what we expected from a luxury property.
