Good parking. Best restaurant of trip! Staff friendly. Room large/clean. Bed just not comfortable. It is in the country but pretty and quiet. Close to St Andrews and a short drive to other coastal towns.

Staff were really friendly and attentive. The self contained rooms were very comfortable and spacious. There was also enough parking right outside the rooms. It was only a short drive to St Andrews. They could have been a little warmer and have included a full length mirror. Also had to run the tap for a while to get hot water.

Pet friendly but they aren't allowed on the bed and it is very close to a main road so can't let your dog off the lead. Because it was very quiet when we were there, there wasn't much atmosphere in the restaurant but the food and service was very good.

Loved it. The outside was deceiving but once we got into the courtyard we appreciated how quaint it was. Staff was very friendly.

Had a lovely overnight sray on 11/2 in a deluxe double room, large room with king bed and jacuzzi bath room was spotless, had drink in bar then later a lovely dinner by a coal fire food was excellent and staff was first class in all departments would recommend the Inn if visiting St Andrews and surrounding area

The Inn at Lathones is a cute little Inn just outside of St. Andrews. The grounds are beautiful in a countryside setting. The rooms are well-maintained and there is a restaurant on site if you don't want to go into town. It was a great place for us as we had been at St. Andrews for the day and was heading for Edinburgh the next day.

Of the 4 hotels I stayed in in Scotland, this was the best. A short drive outside of St Andrews with rates a fraction of the cost of hotels in town. Parking on site was easy. On site restaurant was excellent. The fish and chips was the best I had in the country. Staff was amazing. Rooms were in excellent condition. Property was unique and looked like a small village.

Of the 4 hotels I stayed in in Scotland, this was the best. A short drive outside of St Andrews with rates a fraction of the cost of hotels in town. Parking on site was easy. On site restaurant was excellent. The fish and chips was the best I had in the country. Staff was amazing. Rooms were in excellent condition. Property was unique and looked like a small village.

The place was lovely and generally the stay was great, only small downsides were the bed was a wee bit too hard for me and I woke up a bit sore and the WiFi didn’t work in our room but other than that it was a beautiful setting, clean room and would recommend anyone who has a wedding in St Andrews to stay here super close to drive to.

Overall in need of repair and upgrading. Vanity mirror light broken impossible to do makeup in bathroom far too dark. Sink badly cracked.shower tray rocked! No soap holder in shower so all shampoos had to be put on floor. Laminated floors so badly layed that almost every floorboard didn’t just creak they screamed. Outer buildings and main building not been painted for years. We almost drove past it thinking THAT! can’t be our hotel it looked so run down and seedy. Obviously the owners, Inspired Hotels don’t know the meaning of the word inspired. We will never, ever stay in an Inspired Hotel again. They obviously don’t care and have no pride in their business. If they think this is the way to run a successful business, they are going to be sadly disappointed.

Overall hotel is lovely. It’s in a nice location, hotel employees are fabulous and nothing is too much trouble…restaurant is great and the food was lovely….. however…we got very little sleep. There is no soundproofing in the rooms.. you can hear everything and the noise from upstairs was bad with people just walking around and talking in their room. The superior room we booked was ok. Needs updating though. Peeling paint above the shower and the entire wooden floor creaked loudly whenever you walked on it. Not sure the room was worth the cost we paid 😞

2nd time we have stayed here, we love it, the staff are so friendly and helpful. The beds are super comfortable and spotless clean. The rooms are well equipped, tv iron and iron board, hairdryer,tea coffee and coffee machine. The breakfast choice is fabulous with all good quality produce. Evening dinner menu is with excellent choices all freshly prepared and delicious. The hotel is a 15 minute drive away from the center St Andrews and the stunning beach, and the world famous golf course. A perfect location to stay and explore.

Decent value for spacious accommodation - a large room and bathroom - let down a little by the noise from cars passing at high speed. My room (room 10) was facing the A915, and was quite close to it. It's not a busy road but it's a straight stretch and vehicles pass with a burst of sound. They will be your wake-up call, around 6am, if you haven't been woken in the night. The room was also a bit cool, even with the radiator turned up as high as possible. This is partly because the room's probably too large for the radiator. But, the room was clean, comfortable, and had a kettle and a coffee maker. The shower worked well and was hot, and the people I saw briefly at reception when checking in and out were pleasant. I didn't eat at the hotel, so can't comment on the food. If you intend stopping there, try to ensure you get a back room.

Fantastic couple of nights stay with wife and dog. Very friendly and accommodating staff. Booked the superior room which is very large with nice bathroom (separate walk-in shower & bath). Patio doors opened onto private deck which was ideal for our dog. The only minor issue was the creaking wooden floor in the bedroom beside the door into the bathroom. If you get up in the middle of the night to use the bathroom you will inevitably wake up your partner. Had breakfast and evening meals both days which were excellent. Ideal base for exploring the East Neuk. Would definitely book again.

Had a lovely stay. Staff were super friendly and helpful, breakfast was tasty. Our room was a nice size and jacuzzi bath was great. One tiny complaint would be the floor in our room was soo creaky so if someone got up in the night for the bathroom the other was woken by the noise (even with our whitenoise machine on) A Larger area rug might help?

The Inn is very nice but is literally in the middle of farm fields. We shortened our stay due to being so far from St. Andrews.

The place was lovely and generally the stay was great, only small downsides were the bed was a wee bit too hard for me and I woke up a bit sore and the WiFi didn’t work in our room but other than that it was a beautiful setting, clean room and would recommend anyone who has a wedding in St Andrews to stay here super close to drive to.

Of the 4 hotels I stayed in in Scotland, this was the best. A short drive outside of St Andrews with rates a fraction of the cost of hotels in town. Parking on site was easy. On site restaurant was excellent. The fish and chips was the best I had in the country. Staff was amazing. Rooms were in excellent condition. Property was unique and looked like a small village.

Staff were amazing and nothing we requested was an issue and they went out their way to make our 2 night stay a time to remember. Lovely location and only 10 min drive to St Andrews. Food was beautiful and hotel was very clean. Would highly recommended visiting this place.

2nd time we have stayed here, we love it, the staff are so friendly and helpful. The beds are super comfortable and spotless clean. The rooms are well equipped, tv iron and iron board, hairdryer,tea coffee and coffee machine. The breakfast choice is fabulous with all good quality produce. Evening dinner menu is with excellent choices all freshly prepared and delicious. The hotel is a 15 minute drive away from the center St Andrews and the stunning beach, and the world famous golf course. A perfect location to stay and explore.

Good parking. Best restaurant of trip! Staff friendly. Room large/clean. Bed just not comfortable. It is in the country but pretty and quiet. Close to St Andrews and a short drive to other coastal towns.

Wonderful! The room, service, food - everything was excellent! Staff was so friendly, we did the B&B option and breakfast was off a menu, so we got to have something different every day. We didn’t plan on having dinner at the restaurant as much as we did, but the food was SOOOO GOOD, it was hard to decide to eat elsewhere. Desert was also delicious. All the staff was so friendly and helpful. The setting is in the country, so lovely views around the property, nice courtyard if the weather cooperates. We would definitely recommend this place and would stay here again!

Great stay. Fabulous base to explore the gorgeous villages nearby. Breakfast excellent. Staff very professional and extremely pleasant. Booked a room with a patio area which was great to have. Lovely view over farmland. Bathroom excellent with large bath and separate shower cubicle. Thanks for a lovely stay.

Ok place. Bit worn, past it's sell by date. Not worth what we paid. Bathroom was too dark as two of the lights did not work and there was no one to fix them. No shampoo. Very good breakfast and nice, friendly staff. Would avoid

Overall the property could do with some maintenance in the rooms, the staff were excellent and very helpful when we had an issue with the shower. The food & drink was very good but expensive but generous portions
