Hotel Stralsund

Hotellrummet var trevligt. Rent men inte de bästa kuddarna. Vi var informerade om att frukost fanns tillgängligt men det stämde tyvärr inte. Några ur personalen var trevliga men någon ville inte alls försöka kommunicera. Parkering fanns i närheten och fungerade bra. Fint läge för att upptäcka staden.

Hotellet var trevligt, kändes som ett genuint familjehotell. Dock var vårt rum väldigt trångt, det kändes som om de klämt in en dubbelsäng i ett enkelrum. Trångt att gå förbi sängen till till badrummet, på båda sängsidorna. Annars bra och god frukost, trevlig personal.

Trevligt familjehotell . Mycket rent. Väldigt fin frukost som kostade litet extra. Läget nära järnvägsstationen perfekt för två nyblivna pensionärer som påbörjat sin tågluffning!

We stayed here for one night in mid-May. It was 3 degrees centigrade outside overnight. We had a spacious twin room on the top floor with a microwave and a dishwasher. The room had three radiators, one of which worked for 30 minutes only. The others did not work at all. We told the receptionist who said he would see if he could do anything. He didn’t. The reception closes at 20.00. We sat in woolly hats all evening and I kept my coat on as well. We went to bed in our full day clothes. There is no bar but there is a vending machine. I bought a bottle of beer. There is no bottle opener on the machine. I asked the receptionist if there was a bottle-opener in the room and he replied “There should be”. Like the heat that should be, it wasn’t there. Ironically, I then realised that the hotel had given us two bottles of water that required a bottle opener! At check-out, I explained the problems to a gentleman who said that he was the proprietor and that he and his wife had taken over the hotel only two weeks previously. He was horrified that the receptionist had not told him of the problem the previous evening. I hope that the new ownership has a beneficial effect on the hotel.
