Holiday Inn Express Swindon City Centre by IHG

Nos hospedamos apenas por uma noite mas adoramos. O quarto é super espaçoso, silencioso, bem limpo. Vale ressaltar que não tem frigobar. O hotel é bem organizado, tem café da manhã incluso e bem gostoso. Na frente tem restaurantes tambem (inclusiva uma churrascaria brasileira). Tem estacionamento mas não é exatamente dentro do hotel. Para encontrar é só virar a proxima rua a esquerda passando a entrada do hotel e ja vai ter placa de "parking" sinalizando. Chega perto do portão com o carro e aguarda pois ele abre automaticamente. Para pagar nas placas tem sinalizando que é por um app "RingGo", mas nao funciona hahaha, mas na recepção do hotel tem uma maquina para colocar a placa do carro e ja fazer o pagamento.

Hotel excelente, ótima localização, funcionários amáveis.

The bed was uncomfortable and probably even worse, the pillows weren’t soft or comfortable. I woke at 2am due to discomfort and didn’t get back to sleep again, and unfortunately my wife had a similar sleeping experience. Also, when staying during the summer, I would advise asking for a room that isn’t on the same side as the entrance. Unfortunately, this was the same side as the sun came up and being on the 5th floor, with inadequate curtains and blinds, meant that the sunlight came in from around 4.30-5am. Not that I was asleep anyway, but it didn’t help. Bedroom tv was miles away - needed binoculars to see it! Breakfast was ok. Scrambled eggs were anaemic, with loads of milk swimming around in the eggs. There was nothing which stood out and choices were limited. Receptionist was friendly. When my wife and I asked her if there was anywhere to walk in the evening, she warned against it. She did advise heading to the older part of town, but not those area. My wife and I were on a business trip, so the location near the station was good, but only if that’s all you need. Positive’s: I have stayed in worse hotels. Room was clean, so was the bathroom. Good view of Swindon station and countryside from the 5th floor - be aware you can hear trains going through the station through the night (if you’re unable to sleep). Parking is good - either on-site, or we parked 2 mins away for 24 hours, for less than a tenner and as I say, station is across the road. Wouldn’t recommend.

Our stay was one night for an event the hotel was clean and friendly. The lift is under pressure as still after a year or so it does all 5 floors which means a long wait or you get taken on a detour . We had a clean room and breafast was nice but no croissants! Lol

Rooms were clean, spacious and recently updated, as was the rest of the hotel. EV charging parking beneath the hotel was really useful and a nice surprise as it wasn’t listed in the property details. Lifts in the hotel however were very poor with long queues and very slow, seemingly random responses when called. Many guests gave up and hauled luggage up and down multiple flights of stairs. Room key system also had issues on the morning of departure with multiple guests being unable to re-enter their rooms after breakfast (ours was reset 3 times in succession) and this was compounded by guests having to wait an age for the lifts.
