This is my second stay at the Brighton Novotel, traveling from the Gold Coast. Our first experience was amazing, even though the weather wasn’t great. We had a fantastic time enjoying the indoor pool and spa. However, on our recent trip with the kids, the weather wasn’t ideal again, but this time the kids weren’t allowed to use the indoor pool or spa. Unfortunately, this meant I couldn’t enjoy those facilities either, as I had to supervise them. It was a bit disappointing, as I felt it could have made their trip even more memorable. If you arrive early, you’re not allowed to use the facilities unless you've arranged an early check-in. I didn't plan ahead, but fortunately, the reception was very accommodating and found us another room that was ready, allowing us to check in right away. After a long flight with three kids, I was really grateful to be able to settle into the room straight away.

Over all we were happy with our stay. The staff and hotel it's self were great and I love the art deco feel of the lobby. Some things I didn't like was the music coming from the street playing till late. The pool area was extremely crowded, when we went to the pool there was at least 20 children in the hot tub, jumping to and from the pool. There was a section by the bar, which was signed "No children passed this point" however when I walked through it there was at least 9 children there. The hotel also makes it clear that it is a non smoking hotel however there was a number of people smoking around the bar area.

Property is beautiful. Pool outside was colllddddd! (We visited in August-winter) hot tub spa made up for it. On site parking expensive. Surrounding area has some good cuisine variety. Laundromat nearby if you don’t want laundry service. Area looks like it’s recovering from a storm, lots of construction. Beautiful views of the water. Wish we could stay longer.

The hotel was very nice and decor is great . however there were noisy guests and we had to move rooms once and then make a noise complaint about young men yelling and carrying on at the new room. Also the speakers around the pool play until 11 pm so I would ask for a room away from that next time.

Only here for a night due to a canceled flight, but place was magnificent. Glorious room and an incredibily comfortable bed i would like for my own house. Bathroom and living area massive for a hotel, with a couple of pools and on site bars and dining which worked well considering the circumstances of my stay. Would never have considered seeing or even staying in this srea, but after this, would consider Brighton le Sands as a destination if playing golf, and if i did, would definitely stay here

For $345 on a Wednesday this price is exorbitant. The carpet had several stains. The room smelt musty and stale. The room service was underwhelming. Even the ice cream had ice crust on it. I would happily pay $150 a night here and that’s the state of the room I would expect. This was Unacceptable for the price charged.

Due to the raging music that plays most of the day and half the night on the weekends, plus people around the pool area being loud also, is only disappointing due to the fact that the double glazed windows/door at the balcony is so poorly made, its like it has no acoustic damping at all and it was unreal, the amount of noise that rages into the room. I was 4 storey's above all the noise and it was the worst I've ever experienced. I don't mind people having a good time at all, but the hotel really really really needs to do something about this issue. Carpet in room also needs a good vacuuming with a rotay/turbo head. Loose fluff everywhere. Cleaners should also be made aware of trip hazards as they left a hose across the floor in hallway, plus a floor tool in the middle of the walkway separate to the hose. I could go on but that will do. I won't stay here ever again, nor will I suggest it to anyone.

It was ok. The room was dirty, stained carpet, moldy shower and the balcony was unusable due to bird droppings everywhere on the ground and furniture. lovely big refurbished room wirh separate sitting area, views of the bay and watched planes land and take off. lots of great restaurants in walking distance. i knew thwy were doing upgrades but not to the rooms above me so wakingnup to drilling and hammering at 7.30am wasnt the best. so just check when checking in that you aren't near a the refurbishment work

Loud. Not sound proof walls, not sound proof doors. Music was so loud at 8am. Bed is way too soft. We had a suite king spa room and the spa bath was tiny. Balcony table and chairs need to be upgraded. Even though it’s renovated and looks great- I wouldnt stay here again

Great views over the bay and airport. We had a TV that didnt work which was promptly fixed. The shower leaked which was annoying. Parking for 4WD unsuitable. Only 1.9 height limit so parking was difficult.

Overall staying at the Novatel Brighton Beach was enjoyable. The staff - from reception through to cafe/bar to cleaners were excellent. Well trained and courteous. The bed was extremely comfortable and the bathroom clean and well designed. Having a balcony was a real plus. Especially if you like fresh air. However, the fan for the air conditioning in my room was a bit noisy for sleeping. So, I opened the door to the balcony. I stayed during winter. Would be a fabulous hotel - near the beach and many cafes - during summer.
Overall staying at the Novatel Brighton Beach was enjoyable. The staff - from reception through to cafe/bar to cleaners were excellent. Well trained and courteous. The bed was extremely comfortable and the bathroom clean and well designed. Having a balcony was a real plus. Especially if you like fresh air. However, the fan for the air conditioning in my room was a bit noisy for sleeping. So, I opened the door to the balcony. I stayed during winter. Would be a fabulous hotel - near the beach and many cafes - during summer.

The reception in the hotel, it’s very bad. They not talk nicely with the customer. It’s one guys there his name is Harpist Kanwar I wanna make complain for this guy Because I make this book for my sister like forgive it for her and her family because it’s a new year but this guys he not accept to make check in for her and he tell her your sister she have to come and already I give it all my information on my license idea with my card bank for my sister After my sister, she called me on I talk with him and he’s very hard to accept the booking and I tell him always. I make bookings under my name to all my family and friends for the gift.

The property is in the middle of a renovation, but the entire building seemed very aged. We were given a room “upgrade” but although the space was larger, the wallpaper was peeling, grout was mildewed and it just felt very run down. The breakfast buffet was good and had a nice variety. The restaurant was closed due to the renovations, so we tried ordering room service one night. The online ordering system was terrible- drinks and food are on separate menus (although the food menu had some drink options), and we couldn’t order a side without choosing a juice flavor (a bug). We submitted our food order, but when we tried to submit our drinks order, the system required a text verification and wouldn’t allow an international number. So we tried calling the room service line and front desk, and no one answered. My husband went to the front desk and they too the rest of our order, but as he was coming back to our room, they called and told us they were out of the drink he ordered. Our food arrived fairly quickly and was tasty, but the frustrating ordering process kept us from trying room service again. We had been in Sydney for about two weeks and had been in a more central area before moving to this hotel. I’d selected it because it was closer to the airport, but there were no direct transit options and it ended up being less convenient than our previous accommodations.

Phone in our room didnt work, tv didnt work properly until someone came to give us a new remote. The fire alarm went off at 2am. No apologies from staff at the time when we were all standing around in our PJ's at the front of the hotel at 2am. No apologies from staff in the morning on checkout. They seemed to ignore the whole thing except for telling us it was a false alarm.

Didnt like that the renovations have been taking so long so no access to dining, the bar and the pool area. We had to pay extra for breakfast upon booking the room when itinerary said includes breakfast and we also had to pay extra for parking which is $25 per nite and doesnt come with the room as other hotels supply.

Pool restrictions are overboard, kids not allowed in spa or indoor pool, indoor pool therefore not used much at all so why have it there, kids kept on being asked to leave spa very often which annoyed everyone who were paying good money to use the facilities. Breakfast was great with good variety, Ammos restaurant was expensive.

Only here for a night due to a canceled flight, but place was magnificent. Glorious room and an incredibily comfortable bed i would like for my own house. Bathroom and living area massive for a hotel, with a couple of pools and on site bars and dining which worked well considering the circumstances of my stay. Would never have considered seeing or even staying in this srea, but after this, would consider Brighton le Sands as a destination if playing golf, and if i did, would definitely stay here
