The owners are currently refurbing this motel. We enjoyed our stay here to catch up with relatives at Turramurra. It was conveniently located to the highway going north & easy to find & park. Basic facilities & older style motel but everything worked & the rooms were large. And it was a GREAT price!

We were happy with our stay and definitely got value for money. The restaurant was also well worth the visit. There is an obvious upgrade underway with painting underway and modifications to the pergolas outside the restaurant. So it clearly will continue to brighten up.

The room we occupied at the Ascot Motel was very clean & comfortable. Matthew, the manager, was friendly & happily changed our room to a ground floor unit when asked. The motel is undergoing refurbishment which is certainly needed. The restaurant has already been renovated & has a great menu which is beautifully cooked & presented. I would certainly recommend this motel.

The bed was comfortable but the shower curtain was dirty and the vanity unit was damage …..no exhaust fan in the bathroom which fogged up the whole unit even though the window were opened. The towels were very small and even though we stayed 2 nights we weren’t offered a clean towel the toilet seat needs attention as it slides sideways …the restaurant had a good menu’s and great food..

walked in the door to the room to a musty smell which triggered my hayfever after 10 minutes and also gave my husband an itchy throat and he doesn’t even get hayfever. the property is very old and in need of repair, fridge glass door mouldy and floor underneath it dirty shower grout dirty, walls dirty. so we took our bags back out and left after 20 minutes. definitely not rated correctly. only booked it as close to hospital.

The rooms were really rundown, stained quilt cover. Room smelt musky. Smoke alarm was broken. Curtians very old and about to fall apart. I had to ask to change rooms, Next room wasn't much better. There was hair all in the bathroom. The owner did give us $30.00 back

Although the Ascot looks a little tired from the outside we were very happy with our room. Beds were comfortable, room clean, shower good with plenty of hot water. The double glazed windows kept the road noise down to a minimum. Our check in was quick and easy. Appreciated the restaurant being on site. The food and service were excellent! Would definitely stay again if in the area.

Loved firm mattress with cotton sheets; Fox & Hounds dining was yummy. However, the bathroom was tiny with a high step into the shower; one window would not shut; AC did not go lower than 16 degrees - too hot overnight; too may stairs (this should be upfront in the description of the motel)

Room smelt bad, air conditioner was ridiculously loud and it was too hot to sleep without it. Did not have proper doonas, ordered food to our room and we got half of our order, they didn’t return with the other half so we had to go down to the restaurant and get it. Also, there wasn’t a smoke alarm in the room. Convenient spot. I would spend a bit more extra money to stay somewhere nicer.

This place is a find if you have transportation and/or don’t mind walking. The price is right, there’s a nice trail nearby that leads to two different towns, both @ a 15 minute stroll away, and both with convenient rail service to Sydney. I really enjoyed my stay here over the holidays, and think it is a very good value.

We enjoyed our brief stay, we booked online at the last minute after a rushed shopping trip to Sydney. Proximity to freeway north was an absolute bonus - made for a stress free quick getaway back home. Reception check-in, and a short time later buying a few drinks to consume in our room could not have been more friendly and pleasant. The room had a hip (dated?) mid-mod decor with amazingly clean woodwork and rattan features. Shower was great, tho has a high lip to step over - a challenge for older or less agile visitors. Bed was very comfy to sleep one, initial thoughts were it was firm and low - but we slept very well. Rooms have a second glazing layer with integrated venetian blinds, this helped quiet the traffic noise (one racing bike and a truck was heard, but not general traffic flow). We did not experience the motel restaurant, but would be happy to try on future stays - and we would absolutely choose this property again!

Good food from the restaurant. Fast service. Room was big enough. Shower had used soap left in the dish. Also a cup still had tea/coffee dregs in it

Spent one night as halfway on road trip from Melbourne to Brisbane. Just near the exist of the M11 tunnel. Rooms were basic but clean and comfortable. Restaurant had great atmosphere and fantastic steaks! Staff were friendly and added to the atmosphere with chats about Hollywood movies with big name stars that were filmed there.

Found out late from the hospital that I had an early surgery so we booked the hotel in the car on our long trip down to Sydney unaware that reception closed at 8pm. When we arrived we were shattered we knocked on the door, rang the emergency number numerous times and no answer, we ended up ringing around and finding another place to stay. Had already paid as well. Very poor customer service

I thought it was good value for money. If you're not looking for anything fancy, it's a nice motel to stay for a night while you're out enjoying your trip.
