We found it odd that there was no elevator in this hotel, not a big deal for us and only two floors but have never seen this before.

Motel is getting new roof. Roofing punctured a trailer tire and truck tire. When i stated this to the desk staff, i was told the maintenance man was picking up nails today. Was left on my own with no help or even direction of where ro get help. Stay away. Poor parking, old motel. There is a reason its cheap....lesson learned.

My room was soooooo dirty!! I had to go by Lysol wipes to clean bathroom counter and light switches. Not to mention I didn't get any sleep because it was sooooo noisy. Not a good stay, would not stay again.

The room was OK. Could have been cleaner. Carpet not vacuumed around the edges and stained. Wasn’t aware of security deposit and that it would not be credited for 2-3 business days. Ok for a one night stay.

Bedsheets had stains on them, but the front desk staff were very accommodating in replacing new sheets for us and everywhere was really dusty and grungy. I would advise to very thoroughly clean your rooms.

The staff was very friendly and efficient. The room was very noisy (next to the road) and so was the fan. The bathroom was relatively clean, but not as clean as I expect a hotel bathroom to be.

Stayed for one night after the ferry from Newfoundland. Friendly check in. Room was comfortable and quiet. Breakfast in the morning. Eggs, sausage, bagels toast etc. great to get started in the morning. Easy in and out to highway. About a 15 minute walk to the downtown area restaurants.

I was not impressed with the outside of the building and the dirty windows, but the inside was a complete turnaround. The rooms were nice and very comfy pillows with a large tv. The beds are doubles though - I didn’t catch that when I booked. Two of our teenagers shared one bed and it wasn’t the best sleep.

Room needs some tender loving care. Drawers don’t open, curtains smelled plus didn’t close, walk had a dent, sink rusted,one bed looked like it wasn’t checked as unkempt not tidy.

I would not recommend this property for the free breakfast. The bacon appears to be microwaved and the egg look like it was liquid egg. Not a surprise but a sure disappointment. The room was clean and the bed was ok but the air cooling system was really loud and place next to the bed which made for a terrible night of sleep. While I do not have mobility issues it’s a disappointment to see inaccessible doors and walk into building and no elevator or lift to second floor. An upgrade is needed. I wouldn’t stay again.

The entire staff went above and beyond to help my mother and I enjoy our stay. They never felt us feel like an inconvenience while there. The breakfast was amazing! Best breakfast i have ever seen added into a hotel stay! We will definitely be booking here next visit to Cape breton❤️

The staff were awesome. All were friendly and went above and beyond to ensure we had a good stay. They even accommodated us at no extra cost when we had mistakenly booked rooms for the wrong days. Rooms were good, beds comfortable. The breakfast was great and the food fresh. There is some maintenance and improvements being done on the hotel but it didn't affect our stay. Thanks for a great stay.

Only stayed there for a quick night, but the staff was super friendly, room and bathroom were clean, and the breakfast in the morning was excellent. The hotel is about a 5-10 min walk from the Sydney Boardwalk but is on a quieter stretch of road that made it very pleasant and easy to sleep.

The staff at check-in were helpful and kind. The person running the breakfast room was not very helpful and they ran out of eggs and sausages by 9:40 and didn’t make more when it was served until 10. The breakfast space was also very tight so most people took their food to rooms which is fine but not ideal.

It was conveniently located for our stay the night before our ferry to Newfoundland. Our room was nice, clean and quiet. The breakfast was very good and the staff was attentive and very friendly.

Property and room were very clean and modern. Breakfast area was a bit cramped but the food was fine. No elevator.

Check in was quick and room was clean and neat. Coffee maker in the room was a plus. Only downside was went for breakfast an hour before it was over and no bacon, sausage or waffle batter. Not pleased since breakfast is included.

I would not recommend this property for the free breakfast. The bacon appears to be microwaved and the egg look like it was liquid egg. Not a surprise but a sure disappointment. The room was clean and the bed was ok but the air cooling system was really loud and place next to the bed which made for a terrible night of sleep. While I do not have mobility issues it’s a disappointment to see inaccessible doors and walk into building and no elevator or lift to second floor. An upgrade is needed. I wouldn’t stay again.

Our stay was very good. The staff in peticular were excellent. The front was under going Reno’s but didn’t bother us with our stay. I would recommend your inn especially the bottom floor. The room was very clean, the breakfast was typical and the parking was right outside our door. Very satisfied

Decent location hotel with v comfortable big bed. It’s 15min walk to the waterfront boardwalk but a safe walk or drive as parking at the waterfront. Hotel was having building works to the entrance area, hopefully to install electric doors. The breakfast room is tiny, about 6 tables for a big hotel, that’s poor. Parking is plentiful and free outside the door. It seems the hotel is used to stay by contract workers (builders etc) which does mean from 6am, bedroom doors slam in corridors when they go to breakfast and depart. So it’s fine if you’re a heavy sleeper or have brilliant ear plugs but if you’re expecting to sleep beyond 6am, it’s unlikely! Otherwise a decent stop before starting the Cabot Trail.
