One cannot get away from the million dollar ocean view from our third floor balcony which we awoke to every morning. We could whale watch and sip our morning coffees, and if we wanted to, could spend the whole day, whale watching, then enjoy beautiful sunsets every evening. We could get past the older sofa and chairs and the lack of AC, and a few other inconveniences, but what struck us the most was the overall lack of cleanliness. This was evident right from the front door screen which was dusty, to the floor and table fans and the bathroom ceiling fans which were dusty and oily, to chocolate chips and popcorn kernels on the floor under the TV, items under the bed and bedside tables, to the dirty area under the sink where the garbage is stored, and the dirty patio door track which made the door hard to slide. We did ask for someone to service the fans and got prompt action, but it appears that these items were in this state long before we arrived. The head of the broom stowed in the kitchen was grey with dirt. Over our stay we had to do considerable cleaning and feel that we left the unit much cleaner than we found it.
