The staff were amazing, nothing was too much trouble. The food in the restaurant was very good and worth staying in for. The hotel garden backs onto a beautiful park and is a three minute walk to cafes and shops (some of these appear to be shut on Tuesdays, but there were enough open to make a trip worthwhile). If you have accessibility issues make sure you request a downstairs room as there are no lifts. There is so much to do in the area; a long weekend is very quickly filled with museums, walks, shopping, cafes, an old abbey (two miles away) and slightly further (six miles), golf.

The staff were amazing, nothing was too much trouble. The food in the restaurant was very good and worth staying in for. Beautiful Georgian house with stunning grounds in an outstanding location.only stayed 2 nights wish we could of stayed longer. The breakfast was lovely best full English we have had in a long time. We will be returning again the hotel is amazing and the staff are so helpful and friendly.

All benefits of convenience were there. I have stayed at the Valley Hotel before, and it has clearly maintained its quality. One minor issue though, in cold and wet weather, the sloping car park needed care to negotiate, as ice was a hazard. However, I am not aware of any accidents or falls.

Unfortunately our first room had an awful odour ((blocked drains). We spoke to staff immediately who were very pleasant but couldn’t help till the next morning as no spare rooms. The second room was much better standard but over looking airconditioning units which were noisey all night, the window didn’t shut properly so couldn’t shut the noise out. Very pleasant staff throughout but expensive room for problems we had.

The dining room and bar were lovely and the location was wonderful. We had room 15 that was very worn,shower had mould and cracked tiles and the extractor made a terrible noise. It was also very small and dark due to a small window.

Close to Ironbridge and museums. On the edge of a lovely park and the River Severn. An old building with interesting architecture and examples of the famous tiles from the area. I had a single room which was fine but it didn't have a window with fresh air which I didn't like. The mattress needed a topper. The breakfast had a very limited choice.

Very friend staff. Lovely location. Checked into room but it soon proved to be in a noisy location with an entry door being banged shut by other guests. Needed a soft closure fitted. I was moved to another room which was lovely and seemed to have been refurbished. Bed was a bit soft but that’s personal preference. Food and service in the restaurant was excellent.

Staff were very good and helpful. Lady on front desk very pleasant on check in. And the meal in the restaurant was delicious 😋 and the staff in the restaurant very good and helpful with my coeliac diet. Only negative was the wall's were paper thin and we could hear everything from next door. Especially in the bathroom. We did enjoy the stay. Was easy to walk to the bridge from the hotel as well.

Upon arrival there was no receptionist to greet us and another guest went to retrieve someone from the staff party who wasn’t officially working. We therefore weren’t given our vouchers and a full check in. The hotel was clean enough but freezing, Ourselves and other guests were very cold. We were told it was due to the hotel being closed over Christmas and it needed to warm up. Whilst I understand that, maybe the building should be preheated for the comfort of its guests and staff. It made for freezing showers, cold rooms and cold dining. The breakfast was very nice and quick service. There is no extraction in the bathroom leaving puddles of condensation. Beautiful area and walks around with an antique fair and museum nearby which was an enjoyable couple of hours and free entry.

They booked us in a room over the function room that was having a wedding disco till 12pm. They did not say anything about this when we booked the previous weekend or when we checked in. Given the number of rooms in their adjacent building they should have put some of the wedding guests in our room and put non-wedding guests away from the function room. Alas either greed or ineptitude of the hotel management. To not even say about it when we checked in shows how poorly they thought of non-we’d guests.

I had a single room which was fine but it didn't have a window with fresh air which I didn't like. The mattress needed a topper. The breakfast had a very limited choice.

Really nice hotel. Superb food in the restaurant. Beautiful setting - park behind with pretty walk along the river. Short walk to the centre of the village and the famous iron bridge. Easy to drive to the various Ironbridge museums. The area is probably busy during peak season, but was perfect this week, late April.

The staff were amazing, nothing was too much trouble. The food in the restaurant was very good and worth staying in for. The hotel garden backs onto a beautiful park and is a three minute walk to cafes and shops (some of these appear to be shut on Tuesdays, but there were enough open to make a trip worthwhile). If you have accessibility issues make sure you request a downstairs room as there are no lifts. There is so much to do in the area; a long weekend is very quickly filled with museums, walks, shopping, cafes, an old abbey (two miles away) and slightly further (six miles), golf.

The hotel was a bit dated, the room the size of my suitcase with a lovely view of the kitchen fans (witch were very noicy). Luckily was there only for one night and had noise cancelling head phones, so blasting music at loud volume almost managed to drown out the buildings noises. Worst was the complete lack of WIFI which was annoying for business visitor at an area which as notoriously bad phone signal to boot. Service did disappoint as could not have breakfast between 0745 and 0845 as too full.. and dinner was unavailable too for hotel guests, but luckily booked the table online (at hotel restaurant) and managed to get in that way. Definitely not staying there again.

Beautiful Georgian house with stunning grounds in an outstanding location.only stayed 2 nights wish we could of stayed longer. The breakfast was lovely best full English we have had in a long time. We will be returning again the hotel is amazing and the staff are so helpful and friendly.

It was a nice room but no window to open or look through. It had air-conditioning it you like that. Room was clean but basic. Only stopped one night so ok. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. Nice buffet breakfast. Good parking and location near river and walking distance into Ironbridge.

Mysigt hotell i ombyggda industribyggnader. Dock ledde en brant spiraltrappa till vårt rum och vi hade bara ett frostat fönster mot en inre korridor. Men vårt rum hade AC. Bra frukost men inte jättestort utbud. Trevlig personal. Minus för att det bara fanns kombinerad schampo/duschcreme i badrummet och inte balsam. Dessutom inget varmvatten i handfatet.

We had air-conditioning which was fabulous. Not many hotels on our 60 day trip of the UK had a/C and given the summer temps it was a joy to finally get a good night's sleep.
