Great place for the price just outside of China town. Walking distance to the ferry and water taxi. Lots of good food around the hotel. Very comfortable beds. Showers are great for tall people. Locked parking under the hotel.

Affordable for Victoria Harbour area on a weekend. Enclosed secure underground parking. Beds were very firm. Definitely in need of touchups in places. Renovations occuring next door, too

The room was pleasant and clean, nothing special but fine for the price. There was a small balcony on the room but the sliding access door was noisy and difficult to use. We enjoyed the convenient walking access to downtown Victoria. One of the hotel clerks we dealt with was pleasant and accommodating, the other not so much. Parking was OK, a little challenging for a full-size crew cab pickup but manageable. I would stay there again on my next trip to Victoria.

Grimy. The bathroom floor was sticky, the shower curtain was moldy, the baseboard heater didn’t work. Just gross. The only upside was that there was underground secure parking.

Very tired hotel. Sliding door to the balcony did not lock. We arrived 10min before check in but were asked to wait. Underground parking very dimly lit. Pillows were uncomfortable. Front desk was efficient. Good for an inexpensive 1 maybe 2 night stop, but you get what you pay for. Sign said new management so hopefully some upgrades and improvements are on their way.

Parking in secure area below the building. 5 min walk to save on foods arena. Nice spacious room, just getting a little bit old is all. I enjoyed my stay. Will return.

Stained bedsheets, stained towels, and dirty bathtub that had clearly not been cleaned between guests. Mice were evidently living in the walls as we had a mouse in our room on the third floor, and we also saw one in the luggage storage room. When we brought up these issues and asked to get out bed sheets towels changed as well as our bath tub cleaned the staff member we spoke to got defensive and started arguing with us instead of immediately fixing the issues. The ONLY thing this place has going for it is the location. Pretty much everything we wanted to do was within a 20 minute walk, which was convenient. But for the price we paid ($250 per night), the uncleanliness, and the absolutely horrendous service (from the particular staff member we dealt with) it was not nearly worth it. I could not recommend this place less. Do not book.

While the proximity to things in victoria was great, the mattresses are spring form and not kept in good repair at all. There was a hole in the ceiling, and the a/c was lacking. Is the cooler months there was a space heater that was sitting on the desk. When going into the bathroom the state of the shower was absolutely terrible. The caulking around the tub was peeling and there was clearly mildew all over the shower itself. The bottom of the tub was not cleaned properly and had residue and unknown substance in it. If we had another choice we would never stayed.

The motel room was dirty. There was beard trimmings and mouse feces. The mouse got into our snack bag and left a mess all over the table. The door handle was loose and felt unsafe. I would not recommend staying here. I wish I spent a little more and stayed at a nicer place.

I had a very disappointing experience at this property. There were mice or rats crawling around throughout the night, making it impossible to get any sleep. I do not recommend staying here, especially if you have children. My daughter was so uncomfortable after encountering a mouse in the room that she chose to sleep in the car. Given these circumstances, I cannot recommend this property to anyone.

First room they booked me in had strands of hairs on the bed sheets and had visible stain marks. Second room they transferred me into had a broken washroom light. Told me they’d send a technician but none arrived. I would avoid if you can. Waste of time and money. Got a refund but was charged for the day i checked in. It’s an old building, but for the price we’re paying per night, at least make sure your rooms and equipments are clean and functioning well. 0/10. Would not recommend.

We cleaned what we could to feel somewhat comfortable and not disgusted.

My non smoking room smelled of cigarette smoke..after my first shower nicotine (orange stuff) dripped down the walls in the room from the ceiling. They need to wash the walls completely to get rid of the old smell. On the other hand the bed was quite comfy and the blanket kept me toasty warm. The room was chilly and when I turned up the thermostat no heat came on. And the phone in the room did not work.

If these guys had comfortable beds they could have easily charged me twice what they did and I wouldn't have complained. As it is though, while the price of the rooms don't make my back less sore, the price and the AMAZING location easily make this a destination I'll return to. (only I'm going to make sure to pack a foam mattress to help me sleep through the night)

We were pleasantly surprised, this hotel though a little dated in general decor, was really clean and comfortable. We loved that all of the beds are king size and our room which was just a basic two bed room was pretty big lots of room for us and our kids. We will be back for sure!

Great location. Located just as you enter downtown. Room was on Douglas side, which is busy and loud and the rooms have old windows which allow for alot of noise. The AC unit blocked all that noise which was helpful. Room itself was clean and bed was comfortable. The hotel is old and needs updating but I would stay here again as it was much cheaper than anywhere else!

The room was excessively small for the size of the furniture. Made getting around the room challenging. The fitted sheet was dirty so we slept on-top of top sheet. The bath tub as very slippery but the mat given to provide traction was mildew covered. Staff were not overly friendly but not unpleasant. Other than the location not a lot to say positive about the place. In a big need of a thorough make over and renovation. Not good value for the cost of the room.

If you don't mind the most basic of hotels on a budget this would do. The Island Travel Inn is handily located for getting around downtown but other than that not special of a place to stay at.The wifi is terrible, the connection was constantly cutting in and out. Light bulbs missing in the room. The floor I stayed on was crazy hot, turned the air conditioner on full blast just to attempt to sleep at night (and distract from loud street sounds) but even then it was still hot. No screen on window which I feel should be an issue? Staff were nice enough but didn't necessarily go above and beyond. Crazy noisy, you could hear everything going on outside traffic wise, seagulls, and people yelling.

Our room was right over the main busy road. Sirens, traffic noise, people talking. Had to set the fan on all night to drown out noise. Bathroom sink tub and toilet were clean, however , the floors, walls light switches and door handles were visibly dirty and in some cases sticky.😣

Very close to downtown victoria, 5-7mins walk. Close to convenience stores. If you’re on a budget and would like to stay just for a night this will do just be careful. Their toilet bowl is a bit wobbly, don’t lean on the bathroom sink, feels like it’s gonna break. The bathtub is very old as well. There are junkies outside the inn. The receptionist is very helpful

Front desk clerk had to leave to deal with something before we could be checked in so another clerk stepped up and helped us check with no problem. Hotel offers free coffee and tea in room but only coffee was present. Not a worry as Victoria is loaded with tea shops locally. After an evening event, there were loiters outside the main entrance and 2 followed me into the building unchallenged. I was pretty sure they weren't guests guests and I felt uncomfortable when they follwed me down the hall but they went past my door and didnt cause any problem that I know of. I just felt weird about it. We were able to leave our luggage in a secure common room the next day after checking out. That made our daytrip so much more convenient. Lots of transit nearby and walkable distance from downtown. A bit on the noisy side due to the neighbouring shelter and number of amdulances using the road. The inn itself was pretty quiet and it was acceptable for a one night stay. We had 2 queen beds, very comfortable, a shower with good water pressure and enough towels. A decent, clean room at a reasonable price during shoulder season.

Very tired hotel. Sliding door to the balcony did not lock. We arrived 10min before check in but were asked to wait. Underground parking very dimly lit. Pillows were uncomfortable. Front desk was efficient. Good for an inexpensive 1 maybe 2 night stop, but you get what you pay for. Sign said new management so hopefully some upgrades and improvements are on their way.

Check-in took 45 minutes with 10 other guests waiting in the lobby. A veey rude desk clerk. After waiting so long, the room keys didn't even work. The shower didn't work properly nor did the AC. No face towels nor tissues supplied. Base of bed broken. Electrical extension wires were very dangerous looking. Outside of hotel had remince of drug relatied pipes and glass tubes near front door. A bottle of Iron syrup suppliments left by previous guest along with a small box of tablets to rid dog smells on caroet.

This hotel has its own internal rule of $100 damage deposit with credit card matching the person who is physically there and done the booking. NO EXCEPTIONS and NO HELP is offered. This when you've paid online and expect to get into your room when you arrive. The staff can't be more rude and helpless. They offer cancelation, but then all sorts of excuses comes up when you try to get a refund. (Penalties, manager has to approve etc) VERY VERY SHADY business practices! The customer has no chocie but to leave andcjust hope the "manager" approves the refund once they are gone!!!

The hotel itself was generally clean and the staff were responsive. Unfortunately it is in a pretty rough part of the city and I would not be comfortable walking in the neighborhood with my family, especially after dark. The room was clean and the beds comfortable. There is a secure parking garage which is good.

I paid $275/night for this hovel. It is old and tired and the staff aren’t particularly pleasant to deal with. The room smelled. Another guest I spoke to said the place was disgusting. The only thing going for it was its semi good location close to downtown. Lots of homeless in the area. Wouldn’t feel comfortable walking alone at night. I will not use this hotel again.

Great place for the price just outside of China town. Walking distance to the ferry and water taxi. Lots of good food around the hotel. Very comfortable beds. Showers are great for tall people. Locked parking under the hotel.

Unfortunately we were extremely disappointed with this hotel and the room we stayed in. Outside all around the property there were groups of drug addicts shooting up drugs. When we opened the dirty curtains in the room and looked out the balcony we were shocked to see the open drug use outside down on the street. Needless to say we did not want to walk outside when it was dark outside. The bathroom was also old, unclean and run down. And the mini fridge was so gross that it was yellow in colour (ew!) I would not recommend this hotel until the city deals with the drug addicts on the streets and the hotel does a complete renovation throughout. Very disappointed and will not return!
