The Inn at the Union Club of British Columbia

Hidden gem. Quiet and quant. Love the old style room and 4 poster bed. So refreshing to use an actual key rather than a card. Restaurant food is great and very reasonably priced. The private bar with an amazing scotch collection was just up my alley.

Parking was not straightforward. We found more convenient self parking (in part because it was shoulder season and a Sunday when City parking is free. ) The 11pm lock out requires a cell phone to call and get let in-maybe a buzzer would be more convenient. We weren’t sure if breakfast was included, had to ask for a Wifi code because it’s not listed in the room. Great location. Poor street signage.

Great location, Staff were courteous, room is a throwback to 1960 elegance. Comfortable and food is great! Good value for the cost. You have to be able to manhandle your luggage up full flight of outside stairs in the rain... and the strict rules can be a bit much!
