Everything went well and smooth . Had a big car park which was nice

No payment taken at check-in so I had assumed payment was made in advance (I make a lot of trips so assume if no one asks for money they don't want any) Then get phone calls and emails asking for payment as they had tried charging a card that didn't match mine. Eventually got the issue resolved but the system is terrible and must be a nightmare to have to work with. I feel bad for the Staff. Also this Hotel does not have EV charging points, which was one of the reasons I picked it. So info online is misleading at hotels.co.uk clearly states it does. Will not come back

Reasonable hotel on an industrial estate. Local to motorways . Plenty of parking. Stayed for work purposes only .

The reason I booked this hotel was only because was advertised as with ev charging on the car park, unfortunately none of them existed and first night was disturbed by police visits

Good stay and location, nice staff and the room is spacious. also,free parking. If you don't like dogs then this is not the place for you as dogs are allowed in rooms. Not sure how clean everything is if dogs are allowed....

Ideal location to visit our daughter about 10 minutes away. Easy free parking on arrival. Service all fine. Beds very comfortable, took our own pillows as always. Would've preferred to be away from the lift area, but not too noisy overall.

NIce simple hotel, decent bar and friendly service.

Usually well priced low to medium quality chain hotel - great location for M1/M62 and easy access to Wakefield - ideal for our 1 night stay, visiting the area, requirements. Room clean, staff friendly, 24hr check-in and breakfast service good. Also a bar area for an evening drink.

The hotel was first view ok, but reception, staff were sat at the bar talking amongst themselves, checked us in ok, had a water cooler which was empty, walked into the lift area, the carpets are stained horribly, one lift with a small puece of paper says not working, the other lift stank of damp, had a constant caution wet floor sign inside, very unsafe feeling. Very juttery, we were on the fourth floor, got off and it stank again, very damp, unclean, the carpets were horribly stained. The floor was creaky walking down, got to our room, the alarm goes off everytime you open the door, our room stank clearly of damp, they had tried to cover with cheap air freshener. The air conditioning unit was broken and they had put a fan in the room, the fan was broken and tilted so couldn't turn it on without it wobbling. There was a lack of power points in the room, only two power points next to the mirror, none next to the beds, the tv remote did not work, it.turned on and off but the volume up and down and channel buttons did not work, the kettle was full of limescale. The chair in the corner was covered in questionable stains. The window in the room was covered in dust and spiderwebs. There was bits on the floor, it clearly had not been vaccumed so we wore shoes the whole time, the bathroom seemed ok but the shower curtain again was horribly stained and the shower itself was a very cheap showerhead caked with limescale and trickling water. Mild in the shower. Bathroom door falling apart. Asked for shower gel and toilet paper on the first day . None delivered. Couldn’t have a proper shower because no shower gel.

We booked a family room should have had a double bed and a single bed instead of single bed it was a pull out glorified mattress which was stained. Dirty sockets plugs bed divan dust all behind television mould around windows and in bathroom general cleanliness very poor

I wouldn't stay here again. Staff were pleasant. WiFi was rubbish in my room. Had to stand by the window to make & receive calls. TV options disappointing & complicated. Biggest fail is that the room was clearly not cleaned from the picture you'll see the mouldy spoon and other rubbish that was under the bed. The reception clerk offered another room but I declined this as having discovered the horrors of this one unlikely that another would be better. As I said I won't stay here again.

Clean and tidy stay.

Hotel and rooms were very clean, modern and comfortable. Breakfast was average, but the bacon was the best ide ever had. Choice plenty. Not hot, mushrooms watery, only scrambled eggs microwaved.

We go here a lot but this room could of been cleaner two empty bottles under bed plastic wrapping and a tissues everything else ok

Staff were lovely when checking in however during dining at breakfast not so much. Asked a question about coffee with a stern reply and feeling of as if it was too much trouble. Window safety latch was broken and with a young child I did not think this was appropriate. Part of the furniture was starting to peel off with bits missing. Carpet stained and dirty as was the bed and sheets.

The staff were really nice and the breakfast was good. The rooms were very basic, the bathroom didn’t feel exceptionally clean but the noise from the other guests on the Saturday was pretty bad. There were children above were like stampeding elephants and since we were on the ground floor we had the car park outside our room so had headlights flashing through the window all night, we also didn’t really feel safe leaving the window open for the same reason, there was a cable securing the window but it wouldn’t take much to cut it. If staying here I’d certainly opt to stay on the top floor to avoid all of these things. For a basic hotel it, it was ok, but I wouldn’t stay here again unless I had to.

The hotel was lovely in the rooms. The stairs were filthy and the room I was put in was directly above the outside area where people were being loud, drinking etc. I ended up checking out early at 11pm ISH and slept in my car. Wasted £70 tbh and I'll probably stick with premier inn moving forward.

Hotel feels a little tired. Staff were friendly and supportive. Was the end of a 31 degree day. No A/C in the room and could barely open the window because of the safety bars. Requested a fan but just moved the hot an air around. Not the best night sleep because of it.

The room was comfortable but the decor looked tired. The safe didn’t work-bedside lights didn’t work and one was hanging by its wiring. The shower grouting was badly stained, the shower was strong and functioned well.

Room very very warm, tho public areas nice & cool.

Always reliable but my room was very noisy due to road traffic combine that with an early night not a great rest staff were fab !

Budget hotel but worth the price paid. Room ok but no plug by bed for phone charging.

Bed was very comfortable and the room seemed to have been newly refurbished. Good shower although bath mats seem no longer to be available.

Average Room. No plug sockets at side of the bed. Only across the room. No aircon was roasting. No hot water coming from the shower. Just cold water.

Before the last day, I would've scored this hotel higher. Unfortunately, during breakfast at check out, we encountered an issue with staff. The rooms are what you would expect; not luxury, yet they do the job. The shower water pressure is good, although the bathroom was small. The mattress was too firm, but we managed to sleep. And the breakfast buffet covered the basics, yet gave you enough variety to mix it up each day. After checkout, whilst we were eating breakfast, staff started hoovering the area where we were sitting. We didn't mind this. It was more that we weren't prewarned or asked to move before she began. The day before, the staff waited for us to finish & insisted we stayed until we did. Anyway, moments later, the staff tried to hoover under us whilst we were still eating. She didn't even saying 'excuse me'; she just shoved the hoover in. Finally, she asked us to move. But her tone and attitude wasn't polite. I challenged her at this point, stating she could've asked us to move before hoovering. She countered this, which got me so wound up that I had to leave crying. It took me ages to calm down. My partner complained to reception - who could hear & see me cry - yet he didn't get an apology. They didn't even offer to speak to staff to ask them to be more courteous in future. Manners and empathy cost nothing. Our trip was was short notice to visit a dying relative. The last thing we needed was stress and upset from rude staff. We won't return & cannot recommend

Always stay at the Ramada when i go to Wakefield. Reasonably priced, clean and just what i require with friendly staff.

No air conditioning. It was very warm. We had a broken fan in the room, we asked receptionist to change it as it was really warm, she said she cant leave the reception and there is no spare fan. We asked her if she can change our room, she said she can but thats a smaller room. We said keep the room same but exchange the fan from that room, she refused to do that. Spare bed in the room was very uncomfortable. We had a terrible stay. Very unwelcoming and unhelpful staff!

Convenient stop, just off M1 . Staff very friendly and helpful. Was having to temporarily use walking sticks, and staff helped when needed.

Absolutely disgraceful stayed for 4 nights had the sign to get room cleaned every morning not one time did it get done no tea and coffee no toilet rolls no towel have to make my own bed on HOLIDAY! Had to go to reception even they were rude about giving me the stuff. Up until 2.30am as police arrive at hotel women screaming out side question the hotel staff the following morning no apology at all. Absolutely disgusting never am I staying here again

Comfortable stay, very friendly helpful staff. Only slight issue was noise through window which could probably be improved but other than that all was great for me.

No food was out, when asked a member of staff he didn't care. Asked lady at reception and was told well ive been here all night as everyone has called in sick. Coffee machine didnt work at buffet and the one behind reception did but if you wanted a coffee you had to pay for it despite paying for breakfast. No milk for cereal

Excellent bedroom with all the facilities we would want. Very helpful and polite staff, easy check in. Great breakfast and the BAndB package was at a reasonable price.

While staying at Ramada we were given a room to stay in , 2 hours into the stay 2 other people came into the room. As you can imagine this took us by great shock, with confusion we asked the ladies at the door. How did they get into our room they told us they were given the card to that room & the same room to stay in. We went to the desk with a simple sorry we were told it was an error on the computer the manger told us there is nothing she can do other than apologise. We then asked for a refund as she didn’t even recommend this! We found this experience unprofessional & mortifying. We were not ensured safety. There was no Professionalism & we didn’t feel like our situation was taken seriously. We decided to leave. This was disgusting customer Service as this could have ended in many different situations. We hope before deciding to book this hotel , you can consider how unsafe this hotel is.

The hotel was basic and comfortable. I only paid £50 per night so wasn’t expecting the Ritz. The room was clean and tidy. There were random hairs on the shower tray and carpet (dog hairs??) which was a bit strange but it wasn’t smelly. Plenty of tea and coffee and the kettle and cups appeared clean. The ovation is quiet and the staff were nice. WiFi wasn’t great but that may be the location of the room. All this said I would stay there again at that price it’s a no brainer. If you’re in a rush to get to your room the stairs are faster than the lifts. I’m a bit claustrophobic and it takes a long time to only go 3 floors !!!

The stay was fine but the room was tired. The window didn’t seal properly so traffic noise could be heard. It’s in a good location for the motorway, being a couple of minutes away by car, but there’s not really very much else nearby as the hotel is sited on what seems to be a business park.

Perfectly acceptable business hotel for overnight stay. Pub within easy walking distance with plenty of parking

Quick overnight stay whilst driving south, ideal location for quick access to M1

Great hotel good location, fair bit of traffic noise, suprised at the number of boy/girl racers in the area. 2 min walk to Greggs.

Easy location just off motorway

The hotel itself is fine, great staff, location, clean etc The bed was super stiff however, pillows not comfortable. The music playing for breakfast was so loud I could hear it in my room on the 2nd floor. Gym was useful but a bit small. Food was excellent.

Loved the menu, for once I could get something simple, Half roast chicken breast, chips, peas & gravy 😁 delicious and only £10.95

Very enjoyable stay, comfortable, clean, good food, and very good value.

Budget stay. Room was average not as clean and comfy as other Ramada hotels but not unpleasant. Toilet was in an awkward position, very close to wall. Cooked breakfast not very appetising and left out for quite a while. Reasonable cold offering of cereal, toast, yoghurt, pastries, etc. Service a little bit slow when checking in and out but not unreasonable. Hotel was pretty noisy at night when staying on new year's eve - keep your window closed.

It’s not the worse place I have stayed at but as an executive suite I expected more for what I paid. Outdated room with a small tv bolted to the counter so it couldn’t be moved to the centre of the bed, no shower gel/shampoo in the dispenser. Breakfast never had any pancakes or croissants available. A couple of mornings didn’t have any milk in the coffee machine for a latte and when I told a member of staff they said the milk was on the side to use. The last day of my business trip didn’t have any milk left for cereal and was told they might have more on a delivery due in the afternoon.
