TOP Hotel Amberger

The location is amazing,, the room was clean and quiet and comfortable,, there was no free parking even if they said that in their description,, I parked in a paid parking garage nearby,, you need to book for the breakfast in exact time and that’s possible if you don’t know when you’re going to wake up so I didn’t like that

When we checked into the room it was very hot and stuffy. We opened the window and left to explore town. Coming back we had to close the window because of City noise. Immediately the room became hot and stuffy again. I asked the night porter if ventilation could be improved and he told me that the ventilation system would only be blowing hot air at this time. There was no option to move to a cooler room. We spent a miserable night in a hot and stuffy room, too noisy outside to keep the window open. In addition, there was a very noisy party going on all night. In the morning we went to the reception to check out of the Hotel because we did not want to spend a second sleepless night. We pointed out that the room was unbearably hot, without any air circulating. The receptionist told us that we should have known that the Hotel does not have air conditioning when we booked the room. She could not cancel the second night because it was booked through Expedia. When we mentioned the noisy party, the receptionist told us that we should have complained about this during the night, and that other customers already had complained as well. Besides, she said, the party happened in the building next door and was not their responsibility. Despite having a night porter, the Hotel management expects guests to find out where noise comes from and how to end it. Customer service is poor, obviously not a priority in this Hotel.

We only stayed for one night but we had a very friendly welcome at check-in. The room was equipped in traditional style (don`t expect mordern, reduced room style) and very clean. A bit outdated maybe but as expected from a traditional family owned city-hotel. We booked for breakfast and I have to admit that I haven`t expected such a huge selection buffet breakfast. It was extraordinary considering the price (April 24: 13,50€ per person). The location itself is perfect. In the middle of the city center in walking distance to the Residenz (app. 400m) and the pedestrian zone. The famous "Bürgerspital" (vinery, restaurant, wine tastings,...) is just around the corner. The hotel can offer reduced parking fee for the parking garage (50m from the hotel). Not sure if it was because we stayed during the weekend, but the Ludwigstrasse, where the hotel is located, was very quiet with very few traffic. We will definitely come back when we are visiting Würzburg the next time.

場所は便利です。 泊まった部屋は最上階の奥の部屋で エレベーターを降りてから2つのドアを越えて行くので場所がわかりづらかったです。 エアコンがなく、部屋が夜になっても暑く窓を開け扇風機をかけて寝ました。 蛾やてんとう虫が部屋に入ってきました。

Gefallen hat uns die Lage, der Empfang, das Frühstück, die Freundlichkeit insgesamt. Luft nach oben gibt es bei der Raumgrösse, der etwas antiquierten Einrichtung (gefühlt: 80er Jahre ohne Aktualisierung), kein Kühlschrank oder Klimaanlage, etc.

Good location. Comfy bed. Fan in room. Room wasn't cleaned properly with bits of tissue and spillage stains on the bathroom floor that just needed a mop to clean off. The towel was heavily stained (at least I hope they were stains).

Man kann gegen Gebühr im nahegelegenen Theaterparkhaus parken und ist ziemlich schnell zu Fuß in der Innenstadt. Das Hotel ermöglicht einen reduzierten Tagestarif im Parkhaus. Das ist auch nett.

Hadde et fortreffelig opphold på Hotel Amberger. Hyggelig vertskap, koselig og rent rom, og i gangavstand til alt jeg ville se. Manglet ingen ting. Bor her gjerne igjen, og kan trygt anbefale hotellet til andre.

Mir hat nicht gefallen: - die altbackene Einrichtung - der übermäßige Einsatz von Teppich (unhygienisch) - die Sauberkeit (überall einzelne Haare, eingestaubte Flächen, Schlieren auf dem Badezimmer Spiegel, Ablagerungen in der Toilette usw.) - der leichte Rauchgeruch im Zimmer

Are stay was excellent starting at the reception desk with a very, very friendly young lady. Room was clean and beds and bathroom were excellent! We will return!

Sauberes Zimmer. Nettes Personal.

Dated room. One socket isn't enough when people need to charge phones. Walls so thin that conversations in the next room can be heard easily - bring ear plugs. Refurbished bathroom was a positive. Expensive room for what it was.

The hotel is close to the center, very close to the Residenz (palace). There is a bus stop close by but it is also possible to walk from the center in 15 minutes. We had a room with three beds, it was very large and nice with a good view (it was on the 5th floor) and complimentary coffee. It was nicer than expected. Breakfast was very good and worth its price, with some table service and partly buffet.Staff was nice and friendly.

Very well maintained older property. Helpful staff. Nice breakfast selections at a reasonable price. The only thing missing is a bar, Enjoyed our stay and would go back. Thanks

Absolutely wonderful hotel. Great property and extremely friendly staff. I would 100% stay here again.

Grosses Zimmer, gute Lage, freundlicher Empfang, gutes Frühstück. Personal im Frühstücksraum war auch sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Alles hat uns gut gefallen.
