Hotel Franchi was not a great place to stay at. The staff is ok but the hotel itself is not. The elevator is tiny. Barely big enough for 3 Adults without any luggage. For my family of 4 we had to take the elevator 3 trips up and down just to get our 4 suitcases into our room. Room was small as most rooms are in Europe so no surprise there. But you will hear everyone come up and down the hallway all night long. We didn't sleep well at all there. Plus the area has many outside noises that you will also hear quite often. The room itself is cold. Adjusting the thermostat was futile. Heater would turn itself off after only a couple of minutes. But room would still be cold. You would expect the heater to work once it got cold outside. Lastly, breakfast was very limited even for a full breakfast. No eggs, not even hard boiled eggs available. No Milk either. But to say one thing nice is that their bar is fully stocked. But that didn't help my family. Never choosing this hotel again.

What a find! I expected a pkace this clise to the airport, and at such a reasonable price, to be quite average. Which would have been fine. But Hotel Franchi is a gem! Great, above-and-beyond service. Welcoming staff. A lovely lounge area on the ground floor, with a small pub for drinks and food. Clean and comfortable room, with a balcony! I can't say enough about how lovely this place is. For accessibility: one step up to get in the door and a small elevator if you don't want to use the stairs. I will definitely be back the next time I'm in Florence.

Great location with easy access to the airport. The property offers airport shuttle service for a fee. Also a lovely restaurant & bar with delicious dinner options in a cozy setting. Breakfast available for a modest fee so that’s a plus especially if you’re catching an early morning flight. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others.

Friendly staff. Quiet area. Nice little restaurant to get breakfast inside. Outside of the area there isn't a lot to walk to. I appreciates the safe and free parking. Nice hot water after traveling 24+ hours.

I had a 6am flight and wanted a hotel close to the airport, Franchi was described as having airport shuttle and that was the ONLY reason I booked it. When I asked about the shuttle I was told the hotel does not have it and that I should order a taxi. Now, it is merely 900m from the terminal, but via semi-industrial area that does not have sidewalks, no option to walk at all, let alone with suitcases. Reception assured us the taxi would be 15 euros (a rip-off, considering the distance), but then we were charges 22 euros, for 900m ride! Next time I would stay downtown instead of moving closer to the airport the night before departure, because not only the information about the shuttle was not correct, the surrounding area looks awful. Booking this hotel was a big mistake.

Basic hotel but clean and friendly staff. Nice little outside seating area for drinks in the evening. Limited dining options but dinner and breakfast available (extra cost). Be aware there is another ‘Hotel Franchi’ on Google maps - double check the address if you use it! Also, there are mosquitoes everywhere at night - the hotel has plug ins in the rooms - definitely use them! Nice for a basic stay if you are using it as a base to explore Florence. Metro station Guidoni is an 6 minute walk away and the journey to the centre of Florence is 15 minutes with tickets €1.50 each way.

Staff was awesome! Rooms were clean. I was a bit stressed when the hotel sent me a message through Expedia but their email is blanked out with the app. There was someone at the hotel upon my afternoon arrival who sent me a code through WhatsApp to access the room. We were here the night before an early flight and the airport shuttle was prompt and courteous. We even had dinner and drinks that I would recommend on the hotel patio.

Great for a night before flying out. Need to arrange shuttle time when you check in (especially if early am flight) and there is a E$15 charge but very convenient compared to walking to tram or finding a taxi. Was a long but doable walk to Boboli Gardens

Hotel Franchi was my favourite place I’ve stayed in Italy! The rooms are nice and clean, the staff is incredibly friendly, and it’s a convenient location (a 7 min walk to the tram and super close to the airport)!! I also highly recommend it for solo travellers like myself!!:)

The property was in acceptable condition considering the price. Bathroom needs a bit upgrade. Staff were friendly and welcoming. You can conveniently take an 18min train to the Florence visiting places. Overall happy with my stay

Everything is ok except for the thin walls. We could hear everything that was spoken in the neighbor rooms. And, late at night, one of our neighbors had a very noisy intercourse, which was pretty uncomfortable. Not the hotel's fault, but something has to be done to avoid all the sound to move across the walls.

Perfectly adequate for a quick overnight to catch an early plane. Very noisy bc of thin walls. Shuttle was helpful to get to the airport in the early morning, though the driver drove like a maniac. It was slightly unnerving.

Service was top notch, worker greeted us and helped us with the app set up in order to open the doors outside and room, this is the new life to get an hotel room, thankfully the workers are patient and very friendly and helpful, on the other hand the bed and pillows were a disaster hard like a rock luckily was only for one night, room was clean.

This is a budget hotel close to the airport. They sent very confusing instructions for the keyless entry. We could not get it to work. When we arrived they helped us get the App working on our phones. The office is only open til 10:00 pm so if you arrive after that there is no one there to assist you. The room was very hot, the air conditioning blew out warmer air than outside. We could not adjust the thermostat lower than 75 degrees F. Only two pillows were provided (we had to ask for two more). The small bar in the lobby was cute for a drink and had a limited breakfast menu in the morning.

The hotel was very clean and comfortable and the people were friendly & helpful but the on-line check-in was very complicated. The hotel would not accept cash for even small amounts and would not allow us to run a tab to pay for incidentals with a single credit card transaction. Each transaction to my US bank card included fees.

The staff was outstanding! They were very helpful in every regard. Their dinner recommendation was excellent and so was our reservation for the 4:00 AM shuttle to the airport!I give them the HIGHEST possible rating!!

Didn\'t respond to emails. Didn\'t send promised email with links to set up smartphone.They apparently speak of "emails" but mean "WhatsApp," which we don\'t have. Showed up and had to wait a long time as they tried to set up my smartphone. All attempts failed. Eventually gave us key card after we stood around for 15 minutes. Process is all to save 5 cents on cost of key card and be "modern"? Website includes false information about parking and, oddly, ZTL, which they acknowledged but are unlikely to change. Showed up and had to wait a long time as they tried to set up my smartphone. All attempts failed. Eventually gave us key card after we stood around for 15 minutes. Process is all to save 5 cents on cost of key card and be "modern"? Website includes false information about parking and, oddly, ZTL, which they acknowledged but are unlikely to change. Hotel itself was fine for our one-night stay. Must be tech savvy -- no onsite personnel - all communication & entry access done via app. Communication was clear & we had no problem. However, we booked specifically due to an early morning flight and were concerned about our ability (in English) to secure a taxi from downtown that early as we were told they would not yet be at a taxi stand & had to be booked over the phone in advance. Previous reviews mentioned an easy walk to airport. It is a quick walk. But walk is along a very busy highway with no pedestrian path. Even at 4:00am we were dodging cars/trucks while pulling our suitcases across the road. Be aware.

Great location with easy access to the airport. The property offers airport shuttle service for a fee. Also a lovely restaurant & bar with delicious dinner options in a cozy setting. Breakfast available for a modest fee so that’s a plus especially if you’re catching an early morning flight. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others.

Friendly staff. Quiet area. Nice little restaurant to get breakfast inside. Outside of the area there isn't a lot to walk to. I appreciates the safe and free parking. Nice hot water after traveling 24+ hours.

Basic hotel but clean and friendly staff. Nice little outside seating area for drinks in the evening. Limited dining options but dinner and breakfast available (extra cost). Be aware there is another ‘Hotel Franchi’ on Google maps - double check the address if you use it! Also, there are mosquitoes everywhere at night - the hotel has plug ins in the rooms - definitely use them! Nice for a basic stay if you are using it as a base to explore Florence. Metro station Guidoni is an 6 minute walk away and the journey to the centre of Florence is 15 minutes with tickets €1.50 each way.

Hotel Franchi was an easy walk from our Car Rental return and then an easy taxi ride to the airport in the morning. The front desk staff were all so very helpful in making the taxi reservation for us. We ate dinner at the cafe on site and it was delicious!

Staff was awesome! Rooms were clean. I was a bit stressed when the hotel sent me a message through Expedia but their email is blanked out with the app. There was someone at the hotel upon my afternoon arrival who sent me a code through WhatsApp to access the room. We were here the night before an early flight and the airport shuttle was prompt and courteous. We even had dinner and drinks that I would recommend on the hotel patio.

Decent hotel especially for the price. Well situated by the airport. Clean, balcony included, stylish open space for eating and wokring. Checkin is a major hassle that includes apps and multiple email verification/codes. The apps track your movements in and out of your room and require your email and phone number. There is a major concern over privacy.

The staff were helpful and nice. They have a small selection of good food. And yes, they have a bar. The hotel is close to the airport and walking to the tram for easy access to downtown Florence. The rooms were ample size.

Everything was great! Exceeded my expectations. The shuttle was clutch and runs very early to get us to the airport. The hotel is recently remodeled and very nice and clean. The location is pretty good. A 10ish minute walk from the T2 tram stop, which is a 15ish minute ride to the city center.

Very cute place and very convenient to the Florence airport. The neighborhood is a little run down, but we felt safe walking around. I'm not sure I would do that at night though. My only "improvement" suggestion is that the beds are a little uncomfortable in that they were foam; also, the bathroom is small. Overall, the place was great and the restaurant downstairs was really enjoyable.

I have never been to a hotel were the staff were so dedicated to their guests before. From the friendly staff, always ready to help, to the amazing food. We stayed here our first night of the trip and ended coming back early morning on our last when our flight was cancelled. They made sure we had a room as soon as possible, and provided a cot. They also helped get us to the airport the next, very early, morning. I can not recommend this hotel enough!
