The problem was the cost of the umbrella and chairs. This should be on their website. Im not changing my review. I wondered why it wasn't in any reviews. It's important guest know this before selecting this hotel. It increases their cost dramatically

The property is beautiful and certainly looks five star, but the service unfortunately falls far below five star. There was no introduction to the hotel from the staff which would have been nice to known (like that the spa is pre-booked only and not included). They didn’t know how much the sun loungers cost, what was on the food menu etc which could indicate high staff turnover as they didn’t seem aware of any of the key facts. The worst aspect of the trip was that they had a private party with loud music until past midnight which was extremely inconvenient to guests who wanted to go to bed before this time. We spoke to Valentina at the desk who shrugged and said there is nothing they could do. Fortunately, the manger stepped in and relocated us to another room away from the loud music. However, the new room didn’t have working air con and the reception desk needed to be contacted four times to switch it on. We slept really badly due to the heat in the room. Overall the impression was that the staff don’t care and they lack experience. You can’t be a five star hotel and offer two star personnel services at these prices. There is serious staff training issue that needs to be addressed. They hotel needs to decide who is more important, the private function or the guests? They are trying to keep both happy and it’s not working. When we complained in the morning all we got was €10 off the price which is a bit of a joke given how much the rooms cost and how poor the service was

Beautiful hotel with wonderful customer service. Great location and easy access to the beach. Unfortunately, there is a nightclub in the basement of the hotel, which made sleeping difficult some nights because of the noise.

The hotel Is lovely and an OK location, but the service especially from the front desk was downright rude. I would not recommend this place to anyone. The attitude towards me as a guest was sustained and inconveniencing them when asking simple questions. If you are thinking of booking the hotel because they have their own beach…be warned that is a minimum of €85 per person per day extra. The other beaches on the strip are around €20-40. This is just gouging. Might be why their area is almost empty the entire time and the other places packed.

Srunnign property. Right on the sea front. Well maintained pool and garden. I opted for half board. Worth it, the food was outstanding. Staff are lovely and very friendly. I didnt want to leave.

Great place. Was excited about the spa treatments and they were able to fit us in on short notice. Spa front desk person was very rude, on the phone and at the spa. I’m glad we got our treatment anyway as the massage person was great.

The Grand Hotel is just that - grand in nature. It has a nice location in the heart of Rimini as well as a very welcoming staff, particularly the valet and front desk help. A welcome gift accompanied by a nice letter from the owner was waiting upon entry to our room. The pool was beautifully maintained and the beach is right across the street. Our room was spacious with a nice view of the ocean and promenade below from the balcony. The breakfast was quite impressive and delicious as well. We were a little hesitant to book given the prior reviews but the place far exceeded our expectations.

Bellissimo Hotel con grande cura degli spazi comuni, si percepisce il fascino del passato e della storia dell'edificio ma le camere non sono da 5 stelle, non c'è il bollitore né la bottiglia d'acqua di benvenuto. La nostra stanza dava su un cornicione pieno di escrementi di piccioni e gabbiani. Buona la colazione e personale di sala gentile. Ma il tasto dolente sono gli addetti alla reception e la scorrettezza del conto che ci è stato presentato. Il secondo giorno abbiamo chiesto alla reception se dovevamo tenere lo scontrino del parcheggio retrostante e lui l'ha buttato dicendo che non serviva perché il parcheggio era incluso, ebbene nel conto non solo c'erano i 25 euro del giorno in cui effettivamente abbiamo parcheggiato all'interno( sorvoliamo pure sull'informazione sbagliata), ma c'erano anche 25 euro per il giorno dell' arrivo,peccato che avessimo parcheggiato in strada visto che c'erano diversi posti liberi. E la ciliegina sulla torta è stata l'addebito di un omelette con salmone che nessuno ha mai preso. Alla nostra contestazione, ci hanno fatto attendere almeno 20 minuti perché dovevano verificare con la cucina, comunque ci hanno rimborsati ma non sembravano convinti. Una figuraccia del genere non è proprio da 5 stelle. Sono stata qualche volta a Napoli nei grandi alberghi storici del lungomare e quelli sì, sono Hotel di classe.

Das Hotel ist nach aussen 5 Sterne, aber die Zimmer - zumindest unseres - war maximal nur 3 sterne. Auch insgesamt stimmen Preis-/Leistung überhaupt nicht, da die dem Hotel zugehörigen Liegen/Schirm pro Tag 75-100 Euro gekostet haben - Wahnsinn. Auch haben die Parkplätze (unübedacht) 20 euro pro Tag gekostet. Auch waren Teile der Angestellten nicht unbedingt die Freundlichsten - Ausnahmen waren absolut die Bedienung und Zimmerpersonal. Insgesamt für den Preis ein aussen Hui Hotel, innen Pfui Hotel mit überteuerten Preisen

This hotel is beautiful. The room was spacious! The housekeepers were wonderful! The greeting at reception was friendly! the pool staff got us towels right away. The breakfast staff were helpful and breakfast was delicious. Just beware of the mosquitos at night and the courtyard has a flying biting bug that left welts on my daughter. Also, the beach chairs and umbrellas at the beach are not included in the price, they charge extra. We asked for towels and played in the waves for free. The pool chairs are free if you don't mind a lot of people smoking

The Hotel is surely a very lovely historical building and the position is fine. The category is supposed to be a 5star L, but this do not correspond with the reality. multiple minimal elements are not in line with the category (bedroom slippers are small, guardarobe is broken and with broken light, communicating door with next room is not isolated and you get noise, restaurant's staff don't wait for you to terminate your plate, cleaning staff are not accurate, and many more). All of these, are minor issues, but not acceptable for a 5starL.

The front desk welcome wasn't great we were put into a tiny room with little furniture a little like a hostel. Didn't match room description. Nice period bathroom. Restaurant was great but the front desk, housekeeping (didn't have clean towels glasses etc) fell short. We complained about our room eventually and got a much better bigger room. The manager said we were "upgraded" to a sea view (tiny window) - regret not doing this earlier. Wife booked a massage but when she went for it - double booked; no apology. Like other reviews it is loud at night and events are always prioritised.

I would not stay here again. Whilst the building was stunning and the room we were in had been upgraded, there were so many problems. Our aircon didn’t work on the 1st night, there was excessive noise all 3 nights from outside, you could hear people talking in the next door room, their dog was barking and crying all night and then to top it off, we were charged to use the beach which it doesn’t say on hotels.com. I wouldn’t recommend for a relaxing stay

Loved Rimini, especially the downtown area. The beach was lovely and relaxing. The hotel is Grand - manage your expectations when booking an historic property. The room was small, but beautiful and well maintained. The grounds were lush and inviting.

This hotel is beautiful. The room was spacious! The housekeepers were wonderful! The greeting at reception was friendly! the pool staff got us towels right away. The breakfast staff were helpful and breakfast was delicious. Just beware of the mosquitos at night and the courtyard has a flying biting bug that left welts on my daughter. Also, the beach chairs and umbrellas at the beach are not included in the price, they charge extra. We asked for towels and played in the waves for free. The pool chairs are free if you don't mind a lot of people smoking

Beautiful hotel with wonderful customer service. Great location and easy access to the beach. Unfortunately, there is a nightclub in the basement of the hotel, which made sleeping difficult some nights because of the noise.

The Grand Hotel is just that - grand in nature. It has a nice location in the heart of Rimini as well as a very welcoming staff, particularly the valet and front desk help. A welcome gift accompanied by a nice letter from the owner was waiting upon entry to our room. The pool was beautifully maintained and the beach is right across the street. Our room was spacious with a nice view of the ocean and promenade below from the balcony. The breakfast was quite impressive and delicious as well. We were a little hesitant to book given the prior reviews but the place far exceeded our expectations.

The Hotel is surely a very lovely historical building and the position is fine. The category is supposed to be a 5star L, but this do not correspond with the reality. multiple minimal elements are not in line with the category (bedroom slippers are small, guardarobe is broken and with broken light, communicating door with next room is not isolated and you get noise, restaurant's staff don't wait for you to terminate your plate, cleaning staff are not accurate, and many more). The property is beautiful and certainly looks five star, but the service unfortunately falls far below five star. There was no introduction to the hotel from the staff which would have been nice to known (like that the spa is pre-booked only and not included). They didn’t know how much the sun loungers cost, what was on the food menu etc which could indicate high staff turnover as they didn’t seem aware of any of the key facts. The worst aspect of the trip was that they had a private party with loud music until past midnight which was extremely inconvenient to guests who wanted to go to bed before this time. We spoke to Valentina at the desk who shrugged and said there is nothing they could do. Fortunately, the manger stepped in and relocated us to another room away from the loud music. However, the new room didn’t have working air con and the reception desk needed to be contacted four times to switch it on. We slept really badly due to the heat in the room. Overall the impression was that the staff don’t care and they lack experience. You can’t be a five star hotel and offer two star personnel services at these prices. There is serious staff training issue that needs to be addressed. They hotel needs to decide who is more important, the private function or the guests? They are trying to keep both happy and it’s not working. When we complained in the morning all we got was €10 off the price which is a bit of a joke given how much the rooms cost and how poor the service was

The hotel Is lovely and an OK location, but the service especially from the front desk was downright rude. I would not recommend this place to anyone. The attitude towards me as a guest was sustained and inconveniencing them when asking simple questions. If you are thinking of booking the hotel because they have their own beach…be warned that is a minimum of €85 per person per day extra. The other beaches on the strip are around €20-40. This is just gouging. Might be why their area is almost empty the entire time and the other places packed.

Great place. Was excited about the spa treatments and they were able to fit us in on short notice. Spa front desk person was very rude, on the phone and at the spa. I’m glad we got our treatment anyway as the massage person was great.

Bellissimo Hotel con grande cura degli spazi comuni, si percepisce il fascino del passato e della storia dell'edificio ma le camere non sono da 5 stelle, non c'è il bollitore né la bottiglia d'acqua di benvenuto. La nostra stanza dava su un cornicione pieno di escrementi di piccioni e gabbiani. Buona la colazione e personale di sala gentile. Ma il tasto dolente sono gli addetti alla reception e la scorrettezza del conto che ci è stato presentato. Il secondo giorno abbiamo chiesto alla reception se dovevamo tenere lo scontrino del parcheggio retrostante e lui l'ha buttato dicendo che non serviva perché il parcheggio era incluso, ebbene nel conto non solo c'erano i 25 euro del giorno in cui effettivamente abbiamo parcheggiato all'interno( sorvoliamo pure sull'informazione sbagliata), ma c'erano anche 25 euro per il giorno dell' arrivo,peccato che avessimo parcheggiato in strada visto che c'erano diversi posti liberi. E la ciliegina sulla torta è stata l'addebito di un omelette con salmone che nessuno ha mai preso. Alla nostra contestazione, ci hanno fatto attendere almeno 20 minuti perché dovevano verificare con la cucina, comunque ci hanno rimborsati ma non sembravano convinti. Una figuraccia del genere non è proprio da 5 stelle. Sono stata qualche volta a Napoli nei grandi alberghi storici del lungomare e quelli sì, sono Hotel di classe.

The Grand Hotel was elegant for a beachfront hotel. Great sense of history and grandeur, but still reasonable. Restaurant food was good and staff was all wonderful. The beachfront Amerigo Vespucci Blvd was easily accessible. The historic town center was about 20-30 min walk, but a pleasant and safe walk. Easy parking at Parcheggio Flori if you decide to drive to town

We loved the hotel and its location with its beautiful grounds and elegance. Service was very good and the room was large and very pleasant. We enjoyed breakfast and all staff were very friendly and helpful.

What a wonderful old Grand Hotel. Recently refurbished inside and out . Service on arrival at the restaurant by the bar((( you cannot complain about the service as there wasn’t any!!!! It could be truly outstanding with better service . But I’d go back for sure just for the building and the location.

The Grand Hotel is just that - grand in nature. It has a nice location in the heart of Rimini as well as a very welcoming staff, particularly the valet and front desk help. A welcome gift accompanied by a nice letter from the owner was waiting upon entry to our room. The pool was beautifully maintained and the beach is right across the street. Our room was spacious with a nice view of the ocean and promenade below from the balcony. The breakfast was quite impressive and delicious as well. We were a little hesitant to book given the prior reviews but the place far exceeded our expectations.

The Grand Hotel Rimini is a stunningly gorgeous hotel at a prime spot along the Rimini coastline. The service is top notch, the pool is lovely, and the beach area is perfect. The breakfast buffet is very nice and the people working there provide attentive and personal service. The hotel also offers cute bikes that you can use without charge. I'm not in the habit of tipping cleaning staff but I made an exception since my cleaning staff member was superb and consistent through my stay. I would say this hotel earns its five-star status. Wi-fi service is spotty, not good enough to have a zoom call. It is weak and drops constantly in the room. Wi-fi is better in common areas and I was not the only one using my laptop in the hallway. The room (#410) also had a musty smell that appeared to be systemic and unaffected by the excellent cleaning service. My nose adjusted within a few minutes each time I entered but it's not a great first impression.

Das Hotel liegt am Strand und an der Buslinie 11, dadurch kommt man gut zum Bahnhof, an der Promenade entlang und in die wunderschöne Altstadt. Das Haus ist mit Vorsicht saniert und hat seine Charme behalten. Das Frühstück ist für Italien sehr gut. Der Pool liegt beengt und bietet nur wenige Liegen. Beim Buchen muss genau geschaut werden, ob der Strand inklusive ist oder die Zimmer im Nebengebäude sind. Fahrräder am besten gleich morgens reservieren, sonst sind sie für den Abend weg. Die Conciergeleistungen benötigen sehr viel Planungszeit und sind spontan kaum möglich. Alle sind jedoch sehr freundlich.
