Hotel Domus Mea

A great place to stay if you want to be near the main train station. The Hotel which is on the top 3 floors of an apartment building is beautifully decorated and comfortable. One caveat is that it's down a small street that didn't seem very appealing at first and you have to be buzzed up from the front door of the apartment building to get in and then take an elevator up to reception.

The hotel was quite nice, the lobby is on the 5th floor and our room was on the 6th. There is a small elevator and stair access to the top. The room itself is nice, the only downfall being no shower head- only hand held- and the bathroom door only opens half way due to smaller quarters. Neither of these bothered us and it was quite a nice stay. Just on the outskirts of the top sites but easily accessible by walking or subway.

O quarto é pequeníssimo, e o banheiro sem comentários de tão ruim (o chuveiro não funcionava corretamente) pedi auxílio mas não fui ouvido. Os atendentes (recepção) dos dois primeiros dias eram "normais" e até nos ajudaram a subir com as malas. Mas no terceiro dia o atendente foi antipático/grosso! NÃO RECOMENDO ESSE HOTEL . Detalhe as fotos que estao no site do Hoteis.com são falsas! Essa foi a minha primeira e horrível decepção com o Hoteis.com.

An old building with a small elevator that takes forever to get down. The hotel itself is situation in a residential building on the 5/6 floors. The kid at the reception was great, very helpful. The room however was a bit of a nightmare space wise. Being a tall person that i am, moving around especially in the shower was impossible. You cannot bend down in it as it was beyond tiny. The front door would hit the bed upon opening. Overall it was a newly remodeled unit.

Of note, this is top few floors of apt building. You have to be buzzed in and take an elevator to top floors (but the desk was always manned). Otherwise, v clean, comfy beds and staff was super-helpful. Rooms on small side, but modern, v clean. We chose due to location close to Termini and price. Small deck on each room was nice.

Conveniently located close to the train station. The day before arrival I received an email advising us that the elevator doesn’t work. The property is located on the 5th floor and our room was located on the sixth floor. We had to go to the front desk to get hot water and then all water. That said, it was the most comfortable bed we had on the whole trip.

1 elevator, no lobby, very small restroom, safe is not bolted, entrance is shared with other tenants, more of a hostel than a hotel

The property is tucked away in an alleyway. And it was a mix use property/building. Advance notice in a welcome with instructions to access building and where to go would have helped. Our AC unit was broken but they a portable one in the room. But it was not connected and we had to go down to have them inspect it. Only to findout the air vent needed to be connected and placed outside with the balcony door wide open. It was noisy and we felt unsafe with the balcony door kept open all night. But they had no other rooms so we didnt sleep much!

Room and reception were clean rest of building looked a bit rough

Domus Mea was very conveniently located near the main train station. It was very clean and inexpensive compared to everything else we looked at in the city. The rooms are small but big enough if you don't plan to spend the day inside. The front desk staff was friendly and helpful with our stay.

Clean and comfortable. Just blocks from the train station and on major bus route. Quiet and safe.

We requested a double bed in advance and we had 2 singles pushed together. The photos of the property are very outdated. The floors had hairs around the the side tables although on the surface were wiped clean there was years old dirty compacted the the gaps. You could easily hear all the other rooms noises. The shower had poor water pressure most of the time as well as hanging off the wall. Lots of limescale around and the toilet seat was broken on arrival. So I think 3 stars is generous which goes primarily to a nice lady on the front desk who was very pleasant and supportive with things brought to her attention. For example, the room safe also became faulty with our possessions inside. She fixed it immediately.

I’m having a hard time rating this hotel because the room itself -towels, linens, sheets-the room in general was very clean. The only thing that wasn’t was the floor. I happened to leave in the morning and met the a member of the cleaning staff and pointed it out to her. It was cleaned when we got back in the evening. The toilet seat was ready to fall off. My fix-it husband tried to tighten it. Didn’t work. Thirdly, there are two chairs on the balcony but none at the desk in the room. I brought one of the chairs in to use but the upholstery is so tattered, it was shedding all over the place! This place is in a great location, literally a 10 minute walk from the train terminal but it’s competing with many other hotels who are side by side in the same area. It is very over priced. I got a good price because I rented it at the last minute-day before, but it is an extremely small room and I fear the shower is so small, anyone over 150 lbs would never get in.!! It’s secure-has someone at the desk 24 hours but you need to ring the buzzer downstairs to get let in. The second night we were there, the buzzer didn’t work. Thankfully, the lady in the restaurant next door had a key and let us in. I have no idea what we would have done had she not been there. I would look for another hotel in this area. I would not use this one again.

The bathroom was out dated. Looks like it had black mold.

Convenient for Roma termini.Friendly staff,room was very clean.shower had really good pressure but had to hold shower head as would not fit in fitting to hold it to the wall. But still well worth the money. I would stay again

We booked two rooms, both 2x twin beds. For the first room on the 6th floor, the small bathroom window (in the shower) was open by default, likely for ventilation. Not really a complaint other than I think there was no screen so some bugs flew in. But we decided to keep it open due to a strange plumbing smell. For the second room on the 5th floor, there was a terrible buzzing noise (like a zapping from a cpr machine, or a doorbell buzz) that happend every 2-3 minutes (in the wall behind my dad's bed) so my parents had no rest that first night. Then, when we spoke to the staff the next morning, they said they would send someone to look into it but nothing was resolved and they were not able to move my parents until the night following so my parents had to put up with the noise for 2 out of 3 nights of their stay. Finally, on the last night they upgraded my parents room onto the 6th floor (a larger suite), which was fine. All things considered this hotel is in an excellent location and the one female staff (the one who finally changed the room for us) was very helpful. The male staff didn't seem equipped to problem solve. The rooms were neat and clean, and the beds were comfortable. But there's no safe nor fridge if anyone's wondering. And no water nor breakfast (even for purchase). In any case, overall I would not take the risk of staying here again.

Nice area Room was too small and poorly organized so you were unable to open a suitcase

The staff was very friendly and helpful. I had to change room 3 times because AC wasn’t working. The last room was more of a fan than AC but better than not working at all. It doesn’t matter how friendly staff, location etc.. if you can’t get a good night sleep.

With luggage, only one person could enter at a time, close the door, move around the bed to make room, then the second person could enter. The shower was a handheld shower (good) with nothing that held the shower head in place when you weren't holding it. The toilet seat was barely connected to the toilet.

Thin wall but clean

Domus Mea was very conveniently located near the main train station. It was very clean and inexpensive compared to everything else we looked at in the city. The rooms are small but big enough if you don't plan to spend the day inside. The front desk staff was friendly and helpful with our stay.

Difficult to get someone at the front desk so we could get into our room. Room in poor condition, water faucet in bathroom sprayed everywhere. Shower was so small you could only use a hand held nozzle to bathe, couldn’t even stand under water.

I loved my stay at this hotel, the staff is very kind and helpful! The area is very close to the train station which is very convenient. The streets around are a bit scary at night especially if you’re a girl travelling alone, watch your belongings and travel with someone or use the scooter. This does not change the fact that I felt very welcomed and appreciated every interaction I had with staff at this hotel.

Excellent location close to Termini. You do need to call the reception from the front door, but this was never an issue or inconvenience, the reception is manned 24/7 and buzzed us right in. I stayed here with my partner, but for girls travelling alone I would say this is a safe neighbourhood. We ended up extending our stay in Rome and wanted to book this hotel for the remaining days, but then it was unfortunately already booked. Marc in the reception was excellent and a 10 out of 10 host.

Very clean very nice awesome everything close to everything.. stayed 4 nights was quite and clean and convenient and mark at front desk was awesome

My partner and I were probably heat exhausted by the time we made it to the hotel - the hotel was thankfully in a more quiet area, conveniently walking distance from the train station - the hotel staff were warm and friendly and accommodating and check in went super smoothly. Our room was beautiful and comfortable - we would recommend this place to anyone going to visit Rome :)

Excellent location very nice staff

Close to main train station. About 8 minute walk. Safe. Clean. Easy to walk to metro to go to major historic sights.

The staff are friendly, the room is clean, and the location is fantastic. You can walk to Termini station in just 7 minutes.

It was a small, but very comfortable. Great value for the price. Location is walking distance from the train station and plenty of restaurants close by.

Booked a single room for a night. Room was comfortable, tidy and nice looking, with A/C and a fridge. Bathroom was clean. Hotel surroundings are not the best especially during the night. Located at walking distance from the Roma Termini station and subway. Very kind and helpful staff. Recommended.

A couple of local shops nearby, but the most helpful was the transportation. A short walk to the Termini and the metra

Buona posizione ben servita e non lontano da Termini. Personale cortese. Stanze pulite e confortevoli. Peccato per il servizio colazione sospeso, perché la terrazza con i tavolini è molto gradevole

Nous avions réservé une nuit. Il n’y avait aucune isolation phonique, la literie n’était pas de qualité. Le petit déjeuner était bon ! Mais cet hôtel est bien trop cher pour les prestations. Malheureusement, j’avais demandé à ce que le prix soit tenu secret à notre arrivée puisqu’il s’agissait d’un cadeau et le message a été oublié.
