We loved this place! Parking is valet-only, but by the time you arrive by steep switchbacks you’ll be grateful to handover the keys. Staff was wonderful, the views spectacular, breakfast exceptional, and walking distance to all of the coolest restaurants and landmarks. We’ll definitely be back!

This room was a great size and the separate shower/ toilet to sink area and large wardrobe room was great when you have four people sharing. The room had plenty of space and the balcony and seabird were great. We found the breakfast quality to be good and varied and loved the pool ( big enough to swim in properly and not too busy). Yes the hotel is down or up a steep drive depending which way you approach and driving through Taormina isn’t easy ( narrow streets and people everywhere) but the town is beautiful and the hotel was in a great location - easy walk to restaurants. We did a road trip around Sicily and this was one of our favourites in terms of location, room, view, food and pool.

great location, a big hill and stairs to get into town, but given its proximity and facilities we were happy to deal with that. it is a little run down in places, but doesn't affect your stay! having a pool in Sicily when it's so hot is such a bonus, would stay again!

very nice hotel with great views and very tasty breakfast! difficult to find it at first, not easy to go up and down the stairs to enter the hotel. the reception was very nice and let me take a shower after check out time in a special room they have for it.

Great location in the heart of Taormina. Nice pool. Place needs a facelift. Staff was nice not great. They have a strict towel policy where you can’t leave the property with their towels - we had a boat trip and needed to bring towels so had to buy from a store.

I recently stayed at this beautiful place and was blown away by the amazing customer service. The staff were always willing to help and went above and beyond to ensure a pleasant stay. The surroundings are stunning, making it a perfect getaway. However, the rooms are a bit outdated and could use some renovations. Also, be sure to bring your own iron as the facility does not provide one. Despite these minor inconveniences, I highly recommend this place for its excellent service and breathtaking location.

The location is perfect to explore Taormina with shops, restaurants and tourist attractions within a few minutes walk. The hotel itself is unique built into the cliff and the views are breathtaking. The pool is clean is spacious and always had sun loungers available. Our room was fairly basic but it was extremely clean! The front desk could be a little bit more friendly, but overall the staff across the hotel were fine. Be aware that the hotel does not offer an iron or ironing board, which was pretty inconvenient. Overall, I’d highly recommend this hotel due to its location in Taormina.

Beautiful Views and really good service. Sure, maybe there is room for upgrades but I liked the retro feel. I would return for the pool and the view. It's walking distance to so many wonderful things. Yes, you do need to be able to walk up a hill to get to the town but it wasn't a bother for us but something to note if walking is difficult for some.

The staff is so nice & so attentive. Pool service including the pool bistro was great in terms of service, food, price & comfort. Hotel was spotless. Breakfast crew were amazing, very kind and attentive. Rooms are spacious. Planning our next years visit already!

Do yourself a favor: choose another hotel. Like several other reviews mention — and I can confirm — this hotel is sadly neglected and in a miserable state: broken shower door, ripped-off moldings, broken sun loungers, etc. The list is long! Cleanliness is poor: I found someone else's hair on the sink counter and on my bed at check-in. Old band-aids lay around the pool area for two days. A half-eaten, rotting apple was decomposing among the flowers on the room balcony. The balconies are filthy, the public toilets are dirty — and on and on. It’s a shame, because the location is good and the view is beautiful, but everything else shows a blatant lack of care — especially for the price. The internet doesn’t work — the Wi-Fi is extremely slow. I emailed them before my arrival to organize my trip and an excursion, and they took more than 10 days to reply — an unreasonable delay for customer service. Getting to the hotel is dangerous, with a steep slope and a 180-degree turn. At least they offer valet parking for €30 per night. I chose this hotel last minute because it was the only one available with a room for three people. But don’t make the same mistake — avoid this hotel.

Um único elevador para atender muitos hóspedes. Café da manhã com muita variedade mas a qualidade deixou a desejar. Banheira/chuveiro entupida com vazamento e alagamento do banheiro. Fiz a reclamação e o problema não foi resolvido. Mau humor do atendente no café da manhã, reclamando pelo uso de uma colher da mesa ao lado. Não recolhiam a louça utilizada. Endereço do site é diferente do endereço de acesso no hotel.

The property was very close to everything in Taormina and the staff were friendly and helpful. The property is down a crazy steep road the hotel was old. The lobby smelled like old shoes. Taormina is very fun. Highly recommend visiting the Italian opera

The hotel is beautiful - very midern with clean lines and lots of glass. Very clean facility overall as well as the room. The breakfast buffet was excellent and included standard European fare as well as American classics - American coffee as well as espresso and cappuchino were provided by self-service machines.

People at the dining area was very not super friendly but food was good. Our Room, 702 was leaking from the AC which they tried to fix but still leaked. Rooms were clean, great location, fabulous view. Needs some remodelling but was a nice location.

DATED is an understatement. This hotel still has beds from the 70s, furniture from the 60's and not worth the $$. Staff is great. But be warned, you are about to sleep on a bed of bricks wondering why you ended up here. They rest their laurels on the views.

For the price we paid we would have expected comfortable beds - they were quite hard. The sliding door to the balcony was really hard to open. The breakfast was good

We had a junior suite which was lovely and spacious with a large deck with views. Location is fantastic. Walking distance to main street of Taormina and so many shops and dining options closeby. We also made good use of the pool during the heat. Would highly recommend!

We loved our stay at the Eurostars Monte Tauro! The view from our terrace was stunning! The room is a little dated but clean and had everything we needed. The staff was excellent. Everyone was pleasant, helpful and professional. Highly recommend this property to my friends and family!

Personalen på hotellet är väldigt serviceinriktade och tillmötesgående, har bra tips på resturanger och behjälpliga vid bokning av aktiviteter, stränder som är lite lugnare och fria från turister, samt transport och taxi. Vi är så så så nöjda med vistelsen och har redan tipsat familj och vänner om hotellet. Massa stjärnor från oss!

We loved this place! Parking is valet-only, but by the time you arrive by steep switchbacks you’ll be grateful to handover the keys. Staff was wonderful, the views spectacular, breakfast exceptional, and walking distance to all of the coolest restaurants and landmarks. We’ll definitely be back!

The staff is so nice & so attentive. Pool service including the pool bistro was great in terms of service, food, price & comfort. Hotel was spotless. Breakfast crew were amazing, very kind and attentive. Rooms are spacious. Planning our next years visit already!

No me gusto al quejarme que el aire acondicionado no funcionaba, que hacia mucho calor, me indicaron que en invierno no lo actvan, que mantuviera la cortina del balcon abierta. Le indique que las palomas en la manana no nos dejaban dormir, la empleada del Front Desk nos indico, eso es lo que hay. Poco profesional y grosera respuesta

I recently stayed at this beautiful place and was blown away by the amazing customer service. The staff were always willing to help and went above and beyond to ensure a pleasant stay. The surroundings are stunning, making it a perfect getaway. However, the rooms are a bit outdated and could use some renovations. Also, be sure to bring your own iron as the facility does not provide one. Despite these minor inconveniences, I highly recommend this place for its excellent service and breathtaking location.

The location is perfect to explore Taormina with shops, restaurants and tourist attractions within a few minutes walk. The hotel itself is unique built into the cliff and the views are breathtaking. The pool is clean is spacious and always had sun loungers available. Our room was fairly basic but it was extremely clean! The front desk could be a little bit more friendly, but overall the staff across the hotel were fine. Be aware that the hotel does not offer an iron or ironing board, which was pretty inconvenient. Overall, I’d highly recommend this hotel due to its location in Taormina.

We loved our stay at the Eurostars Monte Tauro! The view from our terrace was stunning! The room is a little dated but clean and had everything we needed. The staff was excellent. Everyone was pleasant, helpful and professional. Highly recommend this property to my friends and family!

People at the dining area was very not super friendly but food was good. Our Room, 702 was leaking from the AC which they tried to fix but still leaked. Rooms were clean, great location, fabulous view. Needs some remodelling but was a nice location.

This room was a great size and the separate shower/ toilet to sink area and large wardrobe room was great when you have four people sharing. The room had plenty of space and the balcony and seabird were great. We found the breakfast quality to be good and varied and loved the pool ( big enough to swim in properly and not too busy). Yes the hotel is down or up a steep drive depending which way you approach and driving through Taormina isn’t easy ( narrow streets and people everywhere) but the town is beautiful and the hotel was in a great location - easy walk to restaurants. We did a road trip around Sicily and this was one of our favourites in terms of location, room, view, food and pool.

very nice hotel with great views and very tasty breakfast! difficult to find it at first, not easy to go up and down the stairs to enter the hotel. the reception was very nice and let me take a shower after check out time in a special room they have for it.

Great location in the heart of Taormina. Nice pool. Place needs a facelift. Staff was nice not great. They have a strict towel policy where you can’t leave the property with their towels - we had a boat trip and needed to bring towels so had to buy from a store.

Beautiful Views and really good service. Sure, maybe there is room for upgrades but I liked the retro feel. I would return for the pool and the view. It's walking distance to so many wonderful things. Yes, you do need to be able to walk up a hill to get to the town but it wasn't a bother for us but something to note if walking is difficult for some.

Um único elevador para atender muitos hóspedes. Café da manhã com muita variedade mas a qualidade deixou a desejar. Banheira/chuveiro entupida com vazamento e alagamento do banheiro. Fiz a reclamação e o problema não foi resolvido. Mau humor do atendente no café da manhã, reclamando pelo uso de uma colher da mesa ao lado. Não recolhiam a louça utilizada. Endereço do site é diferente do endereço de acesso no hotel.

The hotel is beautiful - very midern with clean lines and lots of glass. Very clean facility overall as well as the room. The breakfast buffet was excellent and included standard European fare as well as American classics - American coffee as well as espresso and cappuchino were provided by self-service machines.

Nice hotel - but needed a bit of TLC and a lick of paint. It looks like a relic from the 1970s and could do with a facelift. The staff were great, really kind and helpful; they all helped with my basic Italian! The location is fantastic- close enough to walk to the action, but quiet enough to get away from the hustle and bustle if you want. Breakfast was lovely- I don’t think they opened for evening meals. But there are plenty of eateries within walking distance. A great base to explore the area.

This hotel was in the perfect location in Taormina and had beautiful views and pool! We got the Junior Suite and it was perfect for our honeymoon and also wasn't exorbitantly priced. The breakfast buffet was quite good too! There's no onsite gym so working out was a little bit of a problem, but walking up/down all the hills nearby helps with that. :) The one odd thing that happened is the front desk wasn't able to bring us a bottle opener for wine in our room, but that could have also been a miscommunication. It was hard to tell. Overall, it was an incredible place! I would go back in a heartbeat.
