Great friendly hotel , I have stayed there many times , the only thing is the swimming pool is booked for swimming lessons just when business people like myself would like a swim after work. So for me this let’s a great hotel down.

Parking area very safe with plenty of disabled bays. Reception area busy with afternoon teas and people relaxing and socialising in the evening which gave off a good vibe. Very professional staff. Bar and tables cleared quickly and efficiently. Friendly staff. Singer on Saturday night very enjoyable.

Good breakfast. Leisure facilities obviously tired, no locks for the lockers and pool very noisy with young ones. But apparently there are plans to upgrade the pool and sauna areas which will be good.

We were staying on a Friday night and we were told that the hotel was very busy with Christmas parties. To avoid the rush, we booked a table in the restaurant for the earlier time of 6.30pm. However, when we went down to use the pool and leisure facilities at 5pm, we were told that the WHOLE pool was closed to residents until 6pm as it was all being used for swimming lessons. 6pm was no good to us as we had dinner booked at 6.30pm. To make things worse, the pool didn't open until 9am on the Saturday morning and HALF of it was then closed to residents because of swimming lessons. With breakfast finishing at 10pm, we were very rushed to be able to use the pool, sauna and jacuzzi at all (also the steam room was out-of-order!). I don't think this is an acceptable service for residents, who have paid a substantial amount for a one-night stay.

Would have given 5 stars but checked in went to room and it wasn’t made up, looked a right mess. Went back to reception to tell them and fair do’s immediate apology and free upgrade to a superior room Restaurant is closed mid week but the bar food is excellent with a good choice

Food delicious and breakfast a superb hot & cold buffet, so much to choose from 😋 Staff friendly and attentive We stayed during the blues festival and music from the Rob Strong Band was fantastic 🎵 Highly recommend, location perfect for all the fabulous boutiques in the city!! 🛍️

Attended an event here. Staff were friendly and really helpful. Room was spacious and very clean. We had a meal for 14 people. The food and the service was excellent. I would especially like to mention Cornelia and Sarah in the restaurant who were very professional and made sure everything went to plan. From event booking to check in to the meal I can honestly say everything was well above standard and I would recommend this hotel to anyone going to Armagh or holding an event there.

Very poor charged us twice for the room saying they couldn’t find a record of past payment, then room key didn’t work went down to reception and was told another person was in my room number when I said that’s the room I was given by her she told me to take a seat in bar as been a mix up even though all my stuff in room already no apologies just blank me I had to queue up again to get my room key very disappointed!!

Checking in was quick and easy & the staff are friendly and very helpful. The room was also good and clean. The bar area was traditional so there is a nice atmosphere and the food was amazing. Overall I highly recommend this hotel going on my experience whilst staying there.👍

If you’re looking for a short break this is the place to go. The Armagh city hotel has all you need. Staff are so friendly, rooms are clean and ample size.food is excellent walking distance to shops and restaurants, golf course next door live music in the bar. You won’t be disappointed.

Rooms were nicely decorated and clean. Bathroom was large and updated. Overall a nice stay with a nice restaurant that offered a full breakfast and tasty dinner options as well as a full bar.

The reception is warm and welcoming. The rooms are of a high standard. Evening Dinner and staff are amazing. Only thing I would say is the breakfast was really over cooked, bacon, black and white pudding

The hotel was clean and well maintained, friendly staff, beds were comfortable, bathrooms were perfect. Evening meal in the bar was tasty and serviced with a smile. But, the breakfast was very very poor.

Checking in was quick and easy & the staff are friendly and very helpful. The room was also good and clean. The bar area was traditional so there is a nice atmosphere and the food was amazing. Overall I highly recommend this hotel going on my experience whilst staying there.👍

My friend & I stayed one night,staff friendly and helpful. Rooms beautiful,hotel was very busy as a lot of diners. There was only one bar tender & he appeared to be under serious pressure. When checking in to hotel we asked could we books a table for dinner but were told it was walk in. When we arrived at the dining room we had to join a queue with non residents to wait for a table. Food very good but service slow. With self service breakfast the eggs have to be ordered separately ,one would expect the egg to be cooked fresh but this was not the case for me as the egg which was served to me was like rubber and had obviously been sitting for a long time . The staff did accommodate with a freshly cooked egg.

We had a great stay in a lovely bright clean room with a spotless modern bathroom and a view of the Armagh cathedrals. Parking is free and easily accessible. We had a problem getting channels on our TV and staff came quickly and resolved the issue promptly and pleasantly. Buffet breakfast was great - but with just one small niggle. There was no yogurt available!!

Armagh City Hotel is a pleasant place to stay in Armagh. The reception staff were very friendly, welcoming and efficient, and the room was clean and adequate. However, the carpets in the reception area could do with a good clean, as this would create a much better first impression for guests. The breakfast selection was also quite limited if you don't eat a traditional fry. By 7:30 am, there was no yoghurt available, which was disappointing. I had specifically booked the hotel because I wanted to use the leisure centre, but unfortunately I didn't get the opportunity to do so as the opening times were too restrictive. Overall, the hotel was comfortable and the staff were excellent, but there are a few areas that could be improved to enhance the guest experience.

Good core product (comfy bed, clean and modern bathroom etc) but let down at the final mile by staff who feel a bit too busy and ill informed to do some fairly basic ‘extras’. Getting toast, oat milk or some butter for example at breakfast…you eventually give up and go forage for yourself, just maybe make it available at the counter so staff can concentrate on service? The bar needs a bit of a rethink, for the size of it and the crowd it can attract post-events doesn’t have a great stock and cocktails/mocktails are out of the staff’s skill set. If you’re passing through, pleasant enough.
