Room was good only think I did not like was lobby was closed at 1PM and had to raise voice to hear from closed window and a customer came in off the street without a reservation we were talking he just got tired from driving and got the same rate as I did going through Hotels.com seems we are told getting a discount of 10% but that is the normal rate

Great rate for a great room! Disappointed that the ice maker was out of order. Requested to take care of dog barking and was addressed immediately! Great stay!

Not a bad place for the price A bit disappointing that no one was allowed inside . No coffee available, or continental breakfast. From what I'm understanding it's because of COVID, however its only a few months away from 2024, so that says the owners just may not be willing to spend a little on amenities.

Property is currently undergoing major renovations. Can't even get in the main lobby. Check in is through a night window. Noted though that we were never bothered by construction noises. They must have their timing worked out well. Our room had been refurbished it appeared. LVP flooring and paint on the walls over a lot of old spackling. Tub still had cigarette burns on the sides. Headboard of beds were sticky and when wiped down produced a brown residue. Tried talking to housekeeping but they didn't speak English. I don't mean to talk the place down too much. Price was very low, the room was clean, overall it was a good stay and they are working to make it better. Just don't expect it to be a fancy brand new hotel.

The hotel was nice, it looked clean. But Sadly the room I got had flees. I told the front desk. I cannot imagine they won't thoroughly clean it, however, it happened this time, this room.

Very dirty. Bathroom not cleaned after previous guest. There was used soap bars and caps to shampoo bottles in the tub. The floorboards were disgusting and the corners of the room had dust, hair and spider webs. You could see where repairs were made, and they looked like a first grader did the work. The fridge did not work.

Over all it was bad. The shower was broken so water soaked the floor while you showered. There were roaches. The rooms smelt like mold and mildew. Some lights didn’t work.

The ac worked real good which was about the only positive thing. The room had roaches , sheets and towels had stains on them . The shower head barely worked . It’s just gross.

Hotel is very bare bones. Room gives off an unclean vibe. Bathroom light was out so I had to shower in dark. Not sure how the maid cleaned without a light. I guess that’s why it had an unclean vibe. Parking space outside my room had broken glass in it. Towel had a dark mark on it. Not sure if it was dirty or stained but I did not use it. Tub did not drain fast so I stood in water during my shower.

Judging by the age of the building I definitely didn't have really high expectations. Was just hoping for a decent bed and hoped it would be fairly quiet. BUT when I walked in my room I was very pleasantly surprised! The room was super clean and the bed was very nice and comfortable. This always depends on your neighboring rooms but it was also very quiet so I was sooo happy with my experience here. It's also very close to one of the best Mexican restaurants in Guntersville, El Camino Real. There's also a Dollar General and a grocery store, and coffee place within a quarter mile.

My room was clean. The beds were nice. Good Shower.oh yeah, and the tv worked.Nothing special. No local info provided.No local phone book. Seemed to me the room was cheaped up instead of well appointed. The price i got was right at $71 a night. Nice people but they couldn't figure out how to make a key card last for more than one day.

Very bare bones stay. The sheets & towels were very thin. No frills at all - if that is what you are looking for. Since each room has an exterior door, we could hear the noisy people near us late at night.

Mixed review here. Stayed at Lakeside Inn (link). First off, parking? Practically a myth. Had to park way out back where the trucks with boats usually go—check Google Maps if you think I’m exaggerating. Glad I brought two pairs of socks because the first pair came out brown on the bottom just from walking around. The second pair were black, so I couldn’t see the dirt, but I’m sure they were spiritually filthy. The floor had a vibe, and not a clean one. One of the pillows had a mysterious black stain—I stayed on the other side of the bed just to be safe. Towels? Thin, unabsorbent, and I barely had any. I think one of them ghosted me mid-shower. Didn’t sleep much either. Walls were so paper thin, I was unintentionally third-wheeling the very lively couple next door. Shoutout to the lady laughing like she was in the room with me. Also requested a bottom floor (because stairs), but was told no. Ended up upstairs, listening to everything downstairs and next door. Would I stay again? Only if my socks sign a waiver.

The beds were surprisingly very comfortable. The room needed some work. It smelled stale when we went in and the windows don't open so we left the door open, turned on the AC unit, and the fan in the bathroom. That helped. The mini fridge was unbalanced by a lot, it tipped to the one front corner whenever you tried to open it. There was a spot on the floor where the flooring was bubbled up. The bathtub also felt like the floor under it was messed up and you could feel it move. There were some guests smoking weed sitting on the curb in the afternoon. Check-in was a little difficult. She couldn't find the reservation and I had to give her the reservation to get checked in. Checkout was easy enough, just dropped the keys in the box. It was ok for a budget hotel but I don't think we'd stay here again. The hotel is right off of a major road as well but it wasn't too noisy in the room.

The room was fine, parking fine, staff very courteous. Through no fault of the hotel, neighbors above on last night of stay, banged on the floor until after 4 am. Sleep was futile! Don't know if they were wrestling or what, but it sounded like a pogo stick bouncing all-night-long!

Our bathroom had a very bad Oder such as maybe a rodent dead in the wall and the water valve to the shower was leaking really bad. The room was nice for the price we paid and the beds were very comfortable. We were going to tell someone about the Oder before we checked out but no one was at the front desk.

We booked this with an intention to stay. There was an accident on the highway. We could not get to our reservation as police re-routed traffic, we tried to cancel the reservation. They would not cancel it. They would not refund it nor would they work with us.

Fast to take your money and anxious to see you leave. Checkout time is 11 am. At 9:30, housekeeping opened my door without knocking to tell me about checkout. At 10 am another housekeeper opened my door without knocking, again, to remind me about checking out. No training.

Around 9:30, give or take... i was getting ready to take a shower. I had no clothes on remind you. And check out isnt untill 11am. There was a know on the door... and the door opens up. There stood the cleaning lady... i yell get out... they never announced their self. Just opened the door and there i was naked. Plus you hear everything outside of the door. So if she would have announced herself i would have heard her.never in 46 years has that ever happened to me. Also as i was leaving their kids were cleaning the rooms and i know their is a law against that.I refuse to go back there Plus i will be informing the proper authorities on this matter.

beds are hard as can be. smelled like a dead animal in the room. towels were stained. floor and furniture was never clean and every time we stepped out of room smelled like weed.

It was very quiet area with beautiful scenery and easy access to things need like fast-food,groceries, and convenience stores. Also, the staff was very nice to me and family! Thank you 😊

People outside in the night in upstairs , and smoking on stair wells. Didn't feel to safe and We don't smoke and it bothers us very badly.

Judging by the age of the building I definitely didn't have really high expectations. Was just hoping for a decent bed and hoped it would be fairly quiet. BUT when I walked in my room I was very pleasantly surprised! The room was super clean and the bed was very nice and comfortable. This always depends on your neighboring rooms but it was also very quiet so I was sooo happy with my experience here. It's also very close to one of the best Mexican restaurants in Guntersville, El Camino Real. There's also a Dollar General and a grocery store, and coffee place within a quarter mile.

We used app to book rooms but still had to pay again for one of the rooms. It advertises breakfast in mornings, but actually the don't even have coffee out in morning. The office lady had real bad attitude.

Clean. Comfortable. Budget friendly stay. Tv worked with great channels, beds are super comfy, room was clean. No breakfast but around a ton of restaurants. Bring your own soap as you should anyways they do provide a tiny bar and bottle. This will be our go to hotel when in this area! Friendly staff!

Not a bad place for the price A bit disappointing that no one was allowed inside . No coffee available, or continental breakfast. From what I'm understanding it's because of COVID, however its only a few months away from 2024, so that says the owners just may not be willing to spend a little on amenities.

You have no one on site and talk to a guy through a kiosk in India. The hotel smelt like mildew and none of the vending machines worked.

I wouldn’t have chosen this room but an agent called stating my reservation at a nicer hotel was cancelled due to being over booked. In our scrambled search, this place was available. When checking in there was a virtual person at a kiosk who stayed on the phone. I asked for a person at the desk and was told there is no staff. We finally were able to check in. The property is poorly kept and the room was gross. Visible grime and crumbs left from a previous patron. The bed covering and under blanket smelled of strong odor and appeared to be unwashed with cigarette burns in them. We had to use blankets in our car. The outside appears unkempt as well. Patrons near our room were smoking on the balcony and the stench came into our room. The area didn’t seem to be the safest. I most definitely will never stay there again and would recommend others to stay clear as well.
