The staff was very friendly. Tammy made sure all our needs were met. She went above and beyond. The room was clean and had everything we needed. The location was perfect for our trip and the price was right. It was quiet, comfortable and had sufficient parking. I would definitely recommend staying here if you’re in the area.

The entry into the property from Almon Street was in need of repair (potholes). Also, the television in my room was not functional. The staff, however, are friendly and courteous. The property is quiet, clean, and very safe.

The room wasn't cleaned to my standards. The bathroom sink had several beard hairs on and around it, so I cleaned it myself with Clorox wipes. The bed was comfortable, and the place felt safe, although it needs upgrades. The parking lot needs some resurfacing, and this location isn't pleasing to the eye. As far as a place to sleep and shower, it gets the job done.

Honestly I was surprised by this location. Rooms were clean, AC worked great, beds were okay, only problem was each bed (queens) only had 2 pillows total. I say to just let those who need more than one pillow to bring extras. Location was very well light. Would definitely stay again.

Knew it wasn't going to be the best night's stay when I checked in and the girl didn't even say thank you. We only stayed one night - our last of a road trip vacation. The room itself wasn't too bad. The coffee maker, hair dryer, and TV all did not work. If we weren't so anxious to sleep & get home, we would have asked to have them fixed. So, our fault, but no idea if they would have got everything fixed during our stay.

ABVI in Heflin was a pleasant surprise, I didn’t expect to find a decent motel here. Lots of highway noise early in the evening, but it dies off as the night goes on. Very friendly staff.

It was a great road-trip pit-stop. It was right by the Interstate—check-in in the wee morning hours was easy. Call them and tell them to turn on the climate control in your room, if the weather is at extremes, they keep it off in the unbooked rooms to wisely save energy. The only thing weird was that the silly little coffee maker on the bathroom counter was broken, but it wasn’t going to be great coffee, anyway, so whatever.

We checked in with 2 small dogs. The desk clerk,I did not get his name,was very nice and helpful. He even came to our room after check in to troubleshoot the TV/Cable for us and had it up and working in no time. The room was clean. Only complaint I have,that is more of a personal preference is,the bedspread was thin and not as thick as I like. I usually travel with my own thick blanket but forgot it this time. If you are cold natured,you might want to bring your own. They might have extra blankets available at the hotel,I didn't ask. The in room fridge kept our drinks cold. This is convenient to the interstate,convenience stores,fast food restaurants,,a Mexican restaurant and Oyster bar Seafood place are both less than half a mile from the hotel.

If you are cold natured,you might want to bring your own. They might have extra blankets available at the hotel,I didn't ask. The in room fridge kept our drinks cold. This is convenient to the interstate,convenience stores,fast food restaurants,,a Mexican restaurant and Oyster bar Seafood place are both less than half a mile from the hotel.

The beds were comfortable but the shower area needs work. The toilet lid. was totally loose and the door handle was missing a complete back handle. My wife’s bath towel was cover in long black hair.

Room was very dirty; mold in shower, sheets with small black specks on them. It also had a weird smell. The remote to the tv was greasy to the touch. We left after an hour, didn’t even bother trying to sleep there.

This hotel was an excellent halfway point for a trip from Dallas, TX to Chesapeake, VA. Very convenient to I-20, with several restaurants nearby. Easy to find, with easy check-in and check-out.
