Very nice staff. Everyone was very friendly, professional, and helpful during our stay. The lack of ice machines on the property was a problem. Staff did supply ziplock bags of ice, but that wasn't what we are accustomed to. Not knowing who handled the ice or how was a factor.

For it to be a Hilton hotel it needs to be upgrade. The lobby was nice. The elevator did not work the whole weekend had to carry my bags to the 3rd floor. There was no lights in back parking area. My room vents was dusty wasn't clean properly. Curtains had stains and holes. Tub needs updated. Front desk clerk was nice.

Elevator was broke my entire 5 night stay. Only got housekeeping services 1 day. Shower drained very slowly, standing in lake when finished. Refrigerator was missing the ice cube tray. Breakfast very underwhelming.

Hotel in very bad condition. Overdue for a renovation. Worse Homewood Suites condition wise I have ever visited. Needs pressure washing, new furniture due to stains and peeling. New carpet due to the bad mildrew smell. AC filters not changed. Gym equipment out of order, washer and dryer out of order inflatable pool toys left over from past guest. It's was really bad. The front desk said something about issuing points, but I have yet to get clarity on that. Once I do, I will update the review with hotel's remedy to complaints.

I’ve never been as disappointed and frustrated by a hotel stay. I came to Mobile to cover the Senior Bowl as a content creator, so internet performance is an obvious priority. I chose Homewood in large part because of the claim on their official website that WIRED INTERNET was available in ALL rooms. But nope, there was none, making it extremely difficult and at times impossible to live stream, which is how I make my income. To make matters worse, I couldn’t even use the “business center” to upload produced episodes because it was out of order. Not having good WiFi in 2025 when so many people work from the road is bad enough, advertising falsely that you have a high-speed solution in every room is inexcusable.

The young lady who was on duty while I was enroute to the property was very nice. For the most part the property was just like most Homewood Suites as it pertains to amenities, but some things were quite dirty and worn, i.e., carpet in elevator and hallway, fabric on some of the seating(room, dining area and patio around pool) as well as peeled fabric on faux leather seatsl. The property was not ready for a large crowd such as guests for the Spring Fling Festival because on Sunday morning they ran out of some breakfast items and the lady running the kitchen stated the truck did not run.

This property is a bit old and could use some updating. The rooms had window AC units, the furniture was old, the kitchen appliances were old, and there was chipped paint everywhere. Breakfast was supposed to end at 10am each day but they started putting the food away at 9:35am and refused to cook anymore. The pool area closes too early for this time of the year and there was no hot tub. Very disappointing considering that this is a Hilton property.

Check in was easy! Hotel lobby looked nice. That changed upon entering elevator. The smell was terrible, carpet heavily soiled. Paint chipping off walls. Walls filthy, rooms smelly. Furniture very worn! Tub clogged with hair causing water to not drain. Sleeper sofa mattress cover soiled. Had to ask for towels and wash cloths numerous times. Short staffed!!! Not a pleasant stay.

Not very clean Hotel was old elevator was dirty and smelled of Oil only two towels and the soap dispenser was empty. NO SOAP TO SHOWER! if you don't check this guest necessary, what else are you lacking in your cleanliness.

This place is terrible the furniture was dirty and very old the elevator sounded like the cable was gonna snap at any second our room smelled like a wet dog The frond desk lady couldn’t even greet me and just stared at me in her defense it was 530 am and she had to be woke from her slumber so I guess that’s why she was so unfriendly my bad sorry

There were roaches in the room, wall paper torn on the walls and a dead spider inside one of the pictures on the wall. We also found a spot of blood on the bed comforter. When the front desk person was notified they did nothing and provided us roach spray to use ourselves. They were also rude to our children when they asked for extra pillows and linen.

When we walked in, it seemed ok but then I noticed up above that the wall had paper falling off. It took awhile to get our room for some reason. The lady checking us in, her phone rang, she stopped it but the guy working next to her yelled at her about it. It was very uncomfortable. We got our room and went there. I noticed things did not look as put together as other Hilton hotels. Looked run down. Our room smelled moldy. We got a two bedroom for 3 nights. The main bedroom always felt wet. The bed, sheets and everything we brought in became damp feeling. The curtain was hanging off the rods on the ends and looked to be that way for a while. All the seats in the rooms were really shredded looking. They all need replacing. The couch looked dirty. When we went for breakfast, the lady working there was so nice and talked to us and took great care of everyone. But the food was really not good. I got a bagel to toast and it was stale and hard as a rock. Just was not good. We are Hilton members, even though we do not travel a lot and stay in hotels but when we do it is usually a Hilton because we have walkways enjoyed our stay with them and like how clean and nice they are. Sadly, this was not good. Hilton needs to do some major renovations and replace a lot of things. I did not take any pictures but we stayed in room 212 in a two bedroom. I would not recommend staying here if any of this bothers you. It was not up to Hilton standards. The floors were also rough and nasty.

The most disgusting hotel I have ever stayed at. Literally not one good thing to report here. FILTHY. The doors, the carpets, the walls and furniture. Furniture worn out. Wallpaper hanging off the walls. Mold in the bathroom. Even saw a roach in the bathroom overnight. So awful. Will absolutely NEVER stay at a Homewood suites again anywhere. Hilton should be ashamed.

We have stayed at this hotel a few times a year for the past 5+ years and it gets worse with every stay. This past visit (yesterday) will probably be our last. We stayed on the second floor and the minute you step off the elevator you get a whiff of mildew all down the hall and in th room 205. We were just there for the night, otherwise I wouldn’t have been able to stay. break

Room was WAY nicer than I expected. Wednesday happy hour was awesome with free food & drink. Staff was 10/10. Wish the internet was a bit faster though. Would definitely stay here again.

Convenient but quiet location near Mobile airport. Good breakfast. Spacious one-bedroom suite. Some of the furniture was showing wear and tear. A fair number of restaurants in the area.

4 stars because it was clean, beds were good, quiet, a good value. But... room needed tons of maintenance, some threadbare chairs, broken handles, lots of stuff that tells you the maintenance has been put off for some time. Perhaps that was why it was such a good value. The 2 bedroom suite was actually two connected rooms sold as one suite... perfect for a family of four that wants some privacy. I'd stay here again.

room was clean spacious and quiet!! even on the first floor - all day Thursday and Friday morning had no TV and when I asked about it Friday morning attendant was very rude and when I asked when she thought it would be fixed she said very harsh I don't know it'll be fixed when they fix it. Other than that our stay was perfect!!
room was clean spacious and quiet!! even on the first floor - all day Thursday and Friday morning had no TV and when I asked about it Friday morning attendant was very rude and when I asked when she thought it would be fixed she said very harsh I don't know it'll be fixed when they fix it. Other than that our stay was perfect!!

I've never stayed at Homewood Suites before. I booked this hotel because it was very close to my sisters house. This hotel was such a disappointment to me and my husband. We weren't expecting anything fancy, but this was SERIOUSLY run down. There were huge stains in the hall going to our room. The vinyl plank flooring they used in the kitchen area was so buckled up that it was definitely a tripping hazard. My husband had open heart surgery just a month prior and I was scared to death he was gonna trip and fall getting something out of the fridge. The sheets were too small for the bed and kept popping off and I swear it looked like they'd used a mattress protector as a "blanket" and it didn't seem all that clean. Whatever they'd used to clean the floors, left them sticky so my shoes would make that awful sticking-to-the-floor noise whenever I walked across them. The bathroom had ONE BATH TOWEL for TWO GUESTS and there was no floor mat or towel to be used as a floor mat. My husband almost slipped and fell getting out of the shower onto the tile floor. If I hadn't already pre-paid $358 for our two night stay, we would have checked out and gone to another hotel. When we were checking out, I politely mentioned to the front desk about the floor coming up in the kitchen being a trip hazard. Her response let me know my room wasn't the only one. She said the hotel would be renovated soon but we were MAD that we had no idea of the condition when we booked. I will NEVER stay again.

Roomy comfortable room. Close to Mobile airport for early flights. There was evidently some kind of water leak in our room near the window (it was raining hard) as the carpet was soaked. Didn't smell musty but it will cause a problem if not fixed. Nicely designed rooms but some items show wear. Great breakfast and it was put out a little early to enable us to have breakfast before we had to leave for the airport. Hotel is in an attractive wooded area.

Check in staff were friendly and helpful. Building is showing it's age. The room we occupied needs some serious attention (ex: faucet handle on kitchen sink installed backwards, stoppers on bathroom fixtures non operation, cabinet drawer fronts loose, tape holding trim around a/c, furnishings look like second hand store purchases). Housekeeping did leave fresh towels and bedding was addressed but garbage was not emptied.

This property is very run down. We always stay at Hilton and this one was a huge disappointment. If my son wasn’t staying across the road with his team, we definitely would not have stayed here. For starters the front desk staff when we arrived were not friendly. She just sat in the corner and never spoke to anyone and if you did, it was like you were bothering her. We stayed there 3 nights and her vehicle was parked by the front door all 3 nights, making it difficult for other guests and Ubers etc to get in and out. Our room was only cleaned 1 day while we were there for some reason, so we needed fresh towels on our last day there. We went to this same staff member, told her our room didn’t cleaned for some reason and we needed some clean towels and she literally just stood up, went and got a couple towels and handed them to me. She never said a word. No how many would like, no I’m sorry your room was missed, no here you go…. Literally nothing! It was very odd Now let’s talk about the room. The room is old. You can tell they’ve tried to paint and add some newer appliances, but it smelled old. Almost like mildew. The ceiling has black stuff on it, the doors were all chipped as was the furniture. The cover on the bed had stains… it was not nice at all. I will never stay here again if Im in this area. It was definitely not a Hilton experience. There was some restaurants nearby within walking distance, so that was one positive about this location

Our party of 5 checked in on Friday evening November 10, 2023. The two greeters, one was the night manager, were absolutely wonderful. They were very gracious and offered explanation of all amenities. Terrific personalities and excellent customer service. They gave me their names, but I left the card in the room. We asked for towels on our last day and never got them. The strange lady at the front desk kept pestering us about fees that were not disclosed to us on top of the Expedia fees as we paid the room in full ahead of time and they kept trying to charge us for something else that wasn't ours either. The furniture is old and has holes in several pieces and the AC did not cool below 72 degrees and most of the time not below 74 degrees. I would not recommend this place.

Very poor service with the staffs from the time of checkin till checkout. Room was filthy, plus BR no commodities was available. Corridors and elevator was not presentable, filthy carpets! There was no time to look for another hotel when we arrived at 8 pm driving all the way from Houston , Texas. Staffs were not communicating what happens previously. Staffs were not that friendly when complaints are made. Gave them another chance the following day to clean room, silverfish was running in kitchen, did not provide commodities ,nothing was done. Was very upset with the staffs, was informed that there was no more cleaning lady that time we arrived 8 pm.Room was clean only the day before checkout. This hotel needs staff that shows caring to customers and make their stay comfortable, I will never stay in this hotel again. It was also hard to get in touch with Expedia who booked us in this hotel, so we can inform them what was happening . In there website it says no refunds can be made after reservations mad with this hotelI I thought our booking was great with this hotel and with high expectations but it was not! It was a very uncomfortable 3 day stay with this hotel.

This was a great hotel for staying close by to the hospital for a family member. Had everything I needed just like a small apartment and the breakfast was good for a hotel. I would’ve rated my stay as four or five stars total if my checkout experience hadn’t been bad. I needed to stay another night and unfortunately they were all booked up but the front desk associate offered me a late check out so I could find another hotel nearby, which I greatly appreciated. However, at 11 o’clock on my checkout day, I had three different people knocking on my door asking when I was going to check out and people seem to be very confused that I was going to be there a little bit longer and hadn’t communicated. One housekeeper even told me she was “going to go cuss out the manager.” Obviously this left a very bad taste in my mouth for it otherwise great visit.

Overall we had a great stay. The building is dated, but they supplied all the necessary items. We were greeted kindly by the front staff. The room was basic but clean. The breakfast was lacking both in quality and quantity. The maid was nice.

We stay here every few months and it has started to go downhill. It took 15 minutes for the agent to get us checked in…it took him awhile to find a clean room available (I assume). The lobby was dirty, there was trash by every elevator and one elevator was even out of order. The one working elevator was dirty inside and made the worse noises. We stayed on the 3rd floor and it smelled of mildew and there were bags of trash by the elevator all afternoon and in the morning. The room had one glass in the cabinet and the at glass was dirty. We needed ice right away, I went to ask the agent (who was on his phone) for some ice and he said to me “what about your ice maker”? well since there’s no ice in it..I went to ask the agent for some. He said “do you have anything to put it in”? With my hands full..I shrugged and said no. He ended up giving me about a quart size bag of ice. Our ice maker never ended up make enough ice to fill a cup. The bed is about the only comfortable thing in the room. The couch is terrible..I’ve sat on wood that was more comfortable. The oddest thing to me is that, instead of a pump bottle of handwashing soap, is body lotion. I used the lotion countless times trying to wash my hands instead of the bar soap that was in a box. Weird. I think (my opinion of course) the pump bottle should have hand soap instead. Breakfast was cold at 7:30am Other than all of this..will we stay again? Probably, BUT only because it’s next door to a Bonefish

The outside is clean and safe area. Staff at check in was very kind and pleasant and the process was efficient. The room was clean, but did notice the sheets had some stains on them, and should prob be swapped out. Overall very good experience.

The staff was amazing!! There is not one employee that we interacted with that was not kind, helpful, and ready to make sure our stay was wonderful. The hotel itself was physically a little dated, but the customer service made that factor almost irrelevant. Great location if trying to be near the University of South Alabama.

The hotel is in a good location for access to the University, the Botanical Gardens, and the Tennis Center. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel was quiet and the rooms are spacious. But the furnishings are dated and shabby, and the room was not very clean or well supplied. Also, the bedding and pillows were of poor quality.

The property was in good condition. The room was well arranged and very spacious. When I aarived the room was very humid and smelled a little musty like a football locker room. Maybe some strategically place plugin air fresheners would help. Breakfast was terrific!

Elevator was broke my entire 5 night stay. Only got housekeeping services 1 day. Shower drained very slowly, standing in lake when finished. Refrigerator was missing the ice cube tray. Breakfast very underwhelming.

When we walked in, it seemed ok but then I noticed up above that the wall had paper falling off. It took awhile to get our room for some reason. The lady checking us in, her phone rang, she stopped it but the guy working next to her yelled at her about it. It was very uncomfortable. We got our room and went there. I noticed things did not look as put together as other Hilton hotels. Looked run down. Our room smelled moldy. We got a two bedroom for 3 nights. The main bedroom always felt wet. The bed, sheets and everything we brought in became damp feeling. The curtain was hanging off the rods on the ends and looked to be that way for a while. All the seats in the rooms were really shredded looking. They all need replacing. The couch looked dirty. When we went for breakfast, the lady working there was so nice and talked to us and took great care of everyone. But the food was really not good. I got a bagel to toast and it was stale and hard as a rock. Just was not good. We are Hilton members, even though we do not travel a lot and stay in hotels but when we do it is usually a Hilton because we have walkways enjoyed our stay with them and like how clean and nice they are. Sadly, this was not good. Hilton needs to do some major renovations and replace a lot of things. I did not take any pictures but we stayed in room 212 in a two bedroom. I would not recommend staying here if any of this bothers you. It was not up to Hilton standards. The floors were also rough and nasty.

The young lady who was on duty while I was enroute to the property was very nice. For the most part the property was just like most Homewood Suites as it pertains to amenities, but some things were quite dirty and worn, i.e., carpet in elevator and hallway, fabric on some of the seating(room, dining area and patio around pool) as well as peeled fabric on faux leather seatsl. The property was not ready for a large crowd such as guests for the Spring Fling Festival because on Sunday morning they ran out of some breakfast items and the lady running the kitchen stated the truck did not run.
The young lady who was on duty while I was enroute to the property was very nice. For the most part the property was just like most Homewood Suites as it pertains to amenities, but some things were quite dirty and worn, i.e., carpet in elevator and hallway, fabric on some of the seating(room, dining area and patio around pool) as well as peeled fabric on faux leather seatsl. The place was comfortable and staff was wonderful. A lot of things were out dated. Furniture (material peeling off) no plates or fry pans to cook with. Minimum utensils to eat with. Outside of Hotel looks good but the rooms inside look dated. Carpet needs replaced (would suggest wood floors). Pet fee for a 12lb dog is ridiculous. For the cost of the place for 2 nights I could have stayed at a much better place.

This hotel has went downhill TERRIBLY! We had to move rooms 2 times. The first was because of a rusted crack in tub the size of my hand, and the other was because our room was infested with fleas. My wife had bites all over her and we visibly saw fleas all over the bed and white tiles in the bathroom. It cost me extra money to have all my laundry cleaned and bought flea spray for our belongings. We stayed 3 weeks here. On check out I asked for a late check out until 2:00pm. I got off work late and ended up checking out at 5:00pm. I was told off by the man who was at the counter. He wanted to charge me but I reminded him of all the issues we had. I have never been treated with such disrespect at a hotel in my life. We spent nearly 4K with this hotel and we’re treated like we are a huge problem for running late checking out. I was never reimbursed for my laundry or a discount because of the fleas, although I asked the manager. This use to be a hotel we always stayed when in Mobile, BUT NEVER AGAIN!
