Baymont by Wyndham Ozark

I arrived at the property around 4 PM. I had a fairly quick check in, but when I went to my room, it hadn’t been made up yet. After a great deal of confusion, I finally got to my room about 5:30 PM. It was kind of a hassle, but the worst part is that there was a sign at the front desk saying that beyond the control, the TVs did not work. How can that be beyond their control? Did they not call the cable company? I travel to Ozark, frequently for business. Needless to say, I don’t think I will be staying there again.

The listing did not mention that the pool was not available. Looked like it had been down for years now. The rooms smelled like cigarettes and the complimentary breakfast was only available one of the mornings I was there. Not that there were very many options other than mini muffins and terrible fruit.

This place is nasty!The photos on Expedia had to have been taken 15 years ago.The floors were nasty.The bottom of my feet were black.like they hadn’t been mopped in years.The bed spread had a hole in it that they put scotch tape over it.We got there a little early to spend some time in the pool.There are no loungers like the photo shows. The water was gray.Had debris in the pool including empty water bottles floating around. This is a 20.00 a night motel at best.Avoid it!!!I rarely ever leave a bad review but this place warranted it.To many options in town

It's a really economical, and nice place to stay. The pool was nice, the walkways to the rooms were will lit. It seemed very safe and quiet. Walking distance to food. They had free breakfast and the serving area was clean.

The staff was very inattentive and unhelpful. When I went to check out they looked at me, and then continued chatting with each other while I stood there. Finally got up and came to help me. The water in the advertised pool was an off putting green color and had obviously not been cleaned for a long time.

Pool was suppose to be open and wasn't. Difficulty checking in. Had trouble finding ice machine.

Toilet broken. Hair dryer broken. faucet in sink was broken. Only chair was child sized and no table.Breakfast choices very limited. Syrup dispenser did not work. Hotel dryer caught on fire.

The pool was a killer. Made plans for a dip and was disgusting. No love toward the pool. What a shame. Breakfast, just waffles and cereals. That's it

The staff was great. Booked hotel specifically for gym which is closed. Hit in parking lot by disturbed guest with no insurance. This will cost over $1,000 to repair our car bumper out of our pocket.

The pictures featured on the site are at least 10 years old. The pool was not in service, the washer and dryer pictured where covered in grime and had very faded out of order signs on them, and the room needed a good scrubbing. However the staff were pleasant.

This is the worst place I have ever stayed at. I would have left if not for the unavailability of another room due to Hurricane Milton. The floors were filthy, turned your feet black immediately. Had to wear shoes the whole time. The refrigerator looked like it had never been cleaned and the freezer had old popcicle juice and 2 inches of ice. Unusable. The outside and front of the dresser had a build up of yuck on it. I don't think it had ever been wiped down. The sheets had black and grey spots on them. The toilet seat was broken and the toilet paper holder was hanging out of the wall. I had the trauma of evacuating my home then has to endure the trauma of staying in a filthy room. I complained at the desk. No compensation, just sorries. Well sorry isn't adequate. DO NOT STAY HERE. If I was Wyndham I would be embarrassed to have these people own hotel with my name on it. I will be contacting the corporate office.

The room was disgusting. It was the worst place I have ever stayed. Mirror, sink, counter, TV, microwave, fridge, etc were all filthy.

This place is disgusting. It looks like they don’t clean the rooms at all. There was trash everywhere under the beds and chairs, mystery stains on the linen, microwave had moldy food in it, and spiders and bugs in the room. Avoid at all cost.

Room wasn't properly cleaned, dirty floor & sink. Microwave had food on tray from before my stay, and no toilet paper in the room.

Just stopped in for a night on our way to Florida’s east coast. Host was friendly and helpful. However, the rooms were not clean and one had dirty/wet towels in the bathroom and the other had dead roaches… Will not be staying against

The room was not cleaned properly. There was hair in the shower, debris under the desk and I did see a couple of roaches. The toilet was loose on the floor and ran continuously. The toilet paper holder was not secured to the wall properly. The staff were all amazing . Very friendly and helpful.

Older road motel, faded, outdated, dirty building outside. Inside the room leaky fridge (dripping water on floor); poor housekeeping (dirty mirrors/dirty inside bath cabinets); inadequate room prep (one bath towel for two guests/toilet paper empty); poor lighting around sink. What ever brand of coffee they buy for use in the room tastes terrible. This is a case of you get what you pay for - a king bed for two people one night $65. Should have known too good to be true. Very surprised that Wyndham has put their name on this motel - not up to their standard. Time to renovate again!

They had hard floors, instead of carpet. But they were dirty. No one had swept the floor

The room was an older run down room. The first room we were given had bad stains on the bed sheets, smaller of marajuana, mold on the walls, and bugs in the bathroom. The front desk gentleman was very polite and switched us but the second room was only a tab bit better. rooms

This is the last time I book a Baymont/Wyndham property for anything. This is the most disgusting room I've ever stayed in and if it wasn't the middle of the night with no other options nearby I would leave and demand a refund. The curtain doesn't close all the way but my husband rigged up a coat hanger to keep it closed. The deadbolt on the door doesn't work and the chain lock is missing the doorside component. There is weird white powder on the TV stand (Borax maybe? (We hope) because THERE ARE ROACHES) and the bottom of the TV stand is peeling off... The AC makes a horrible noise. The cabinets are falling off the bathroom cabinet, the bathroom door doesn't close because of swollen water damage at the bottom, and the baseboards are peeling away from the wall. There are dead bugs in the lights, and on the ceiling in the bathroom. At least the sheets are, or appear to be clean. Only need a few hours sleep before we head out again but I'd rather sleep in my car at a rest area than this hotel. It should be condemned.

A/c bearly work

This was the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. Smelled horrible. Outdated. Dirty. The TV didn't work. The walls had chipped paint and were dirty. There was paint splattered all over the floor and the chair. The furniture was so old. The bed was very uncomfortable. Very little hot water. I couldn't wait to get out of there.

Turned the lights on and roaches run to hide. Smoke detector blinking red and random loud beeping. Microwave inside & door rusted & unsafe. TV remote didn’t work. Sink handle fell off. Toilet tissue roll holder missing. Exterior not bad but could use pressure washing. Dog walk area was nice.

Limited hot water. Dirty facilities. One room of 2 smelled like deodorized smoke (was a non smoking room). No blanket on bed just a sheet and bed spread. Missing spool for the toilet paper. Other room outlets near sink didn’t work and so hair dryer didn’t either.

The security latch was broken. The toilet was cracked all around it. The room had a musty unpleasant odor. Not sure the sheets were clean.

I walked into a room that smelled like someone had been smoking pot in it. Then found multiple burn marks in and on furniture. Floors were disgusting and all the outlets wouldnt even hold a charger in then.

Everything was fine, except the tvs were not working and watching movies was a big part of our plan that night. We were disappointed, but all in all it was a nice place to spend the night.

This place is a dump with horrible management. When we checked in our room key would not work. We had to change rooms. When we entered our room the toilet was running nonstop. The shower was warm so I soaped up and the water turned freezing cold. Not even a hint of warm water to rinse off with. Before 6am the gardeners started up their blowers just outside of our room. Fire tyhe manager & hire someone who cares.

Friendly Service

We arrived to the hotel and checked in, it appeared run down on the outside, inside was just as bad, we entered our room and we were hit in the face with the smell of weed bad enough to make you sick, and the tv wouldn’t work. The employee working there was no help, I called and let her know, she walked in with Febreze spray saturated the room then told us she couldn’t help us with the tv because quote “people upstairs were getting freaky deaky and tore the cable out of the wall” we asked her to find us a new room while we went to eat, she said she would try. We returned and she had not found us a new room or even tried, and asked that we let her eat and she would find us a new room. We asked for a refund, and she had to call someone to see if she could do that. We will see if I get my money back. Place was disgusting, and apparently people who stay there are often robbed.

It started out fantastic! The young lady at the front desk was so gracious! She showed us a room so my wife could check out the bed. We asked about another pillow which she brought down later. This young lady is a credit to her job!

The room was clean. Rooms nothing like pictures. Staff you could hardly find. Pool was not available and was not told when checking pool was not available. Coffee pot broke in room told staff they said yeah we got new ones that we need to put out it's a work in progress. Breakfast was a horrible nothing there staff didn't care . Told Breakfast was at 6 am we went at 7 nothing was there and hotel was not full of guest. Never picked up trash from room. We had to ask twice for towels in the same day they said we have to bring them to your room never was delivered had to go to front desk second time and ask again. Where do I even start. The moment I walked into the room I could tell the chair was highly stained.I went to wash my face and the wash cloth was completely stained. Our a/c was leaking and we were given towels by the staff to put under the unit. Woke up that morning and the room was flooded. The girl at the desk had no clue what to do and wouldn't switch my room because the manager wasn't there to ok the transfer. She said she would get in trouble. Maybe if she stopped all the drugs, the owner would trust her?!? All kinds of people were hanging out front all hours of the night. The employee at night was real nice and did her best but her friends hanging around smoking blunts didn’t make me feel safe. Along with the fact that she gave her boyfriend keys to the rooms and at 2am bust into our room. They were apologetic but something was off abiut the whole thing and was so glad it was our last night there. If I had the $ I would have moved hotels and fought Baymount later for a full refund. Do I even need to mention the little roaches in our room? I have stayed in some budget friendly motels but this was the worse experience ever.

Smelled like smoke, Just scary. Noisy, people outside hanging out. A generator running all night. Awful

Traveling during the Holidays. Worst stay ever! Not able to have a second-floor room as I am a single woman traveling and feel it is safer. Said there were none available, but only one car in lot and most curtains were open. Building was tucked in behind a small strip mall which was busy during the night at their back doors. Felt unsafe on the first floor. Door had duct tape on the inside to work the lock and the deadbolt. Damage to walls, sink drain had no strainer, bathtub was dirty (did not use,) bathroom floor was dirty with debris and hair, questioned cleanliness of the sheets and pillowcases (one case was soiled,) bed cover was dirty and soiled (slept on towels in my travelling clothes,) floor around perimeter was dirty as was the area around the TV. The WORST was the air conditioning/heat unit that was not only damaged but heavily covered with fibers and dust on the filter. Therefore, I did not turn it on as I have asthma and felt that I would become sick. FYI there was no clerk in the morning, only a sign with a number. I have stayed at Wyndham before and have been very satisfied/pleased. This was the worst of any stay of anywhere that I have ever been in all of my years of traveling. Since I arrived later in the evening and there was a severe downpour, I did not leave the room. I have recently become a member of Expedia was trusting that Expedia would recommend quality, not filthy places to stay. Exceptionally dissatisfied with both Wyndham and Expedia!!!!

Not clean. Someone tried to open our door two times in the middle of the night. Really scary.

Everything about the room was good, but around the front of the office area there was a lot of people hanging around and the smell of Marijuana was bad My grandkids wanted to go to the pool but couldn't due to so many people already there that wasn't guests of the hotel Management definitely needs to show up unannounced

The room had the usual wear and tear that I would expect from a 'budget friendly' hotel. I liked that there were 2 or 3 eating places within walking distance. My main complaint was that the shower started running cold after a short time. I was not ready for that. I guess they had too many rooms connected to that hot water system,

The condition of the Baymont has went down hill so much in tbe past 3 years. I used to love staying there. The staff was always friendly and helpful. The rooms was always very clean. The past 3 times I stayed here the rooms was dirty. There was Marijuana pieces on the side of tub and on floor. My grandaughter was crawling on the floor and when we pickef her up her pants was black on both legs. (Which ruined the pants because it stained them). Breakfast is a joke the, there was no milk out no juice . There was no butter for the waffles when another guest asked about it service desked asked him what was he complaining about that it was free. If he didnt like what was there he could go pay for his breakfast somewhere else. The manager came in and he stated they havent been able to get butter for2 weeks. This place needs a detailed cleaning and new managment. From now on i will pay more to stay at the microtel 3 miles up the road

They offered breakfest but it wasnt much of any kind of anything. Disappointed. My toliet wasnt the cleanest and cleaned it myself so i could use it.

When we went to our room, we found the bed unmade and the room hadn't been cleaned. The receptionist apologized and gave us another room. This room had been cleaned. However the water was lukewarm and only hot the next morning. On one side of the bed, a metal edging was loose and made a lot of noise when accidentally touched by feet when sitting on the bed. The breakfast was not worth stopping for.

Free breakfast was a joke, had to stop by McDonald's to get a quick breakfast sandwich.
