Holiday Inn Express - Hope by IHG

My time here was magnificent! The customer service was outstanding and the facility was in tip top condition. My room was clean and comfortable staff were able to accommodate a toilet issue promptly. One huge perk is the dog-friendly rooms. Overall, my holiday was very pleasant.

Loved the biscuit & gravy. The pool was nice also.

This is very nice but $50 pet fee is steep. Our little pup weighs 10 lbs. Hardly seems fair.

We enjoyed our overnight stay. We were pulling a trailer and were happy to have parking easily available. Staff were very friendly. The breakfast was very nice with lots of options. We also were happy to be able to have our dog with us!

So I thought I'd step up my hotel experience and stay at a HI Express. Was NOT worth the extra $$$. They put all the people with pets in stinky, tacky, gummy carpeted rooms that smell of past pets. Why do I have to stay in a stinky room just because I am traveling with my pet? I've been in several hotels with my dog before where the room is fresh and clean. Either allow pets HI Express and get rid of the carpet and make the room "pet smell friendly" or don't allow pets at all. I was also told at the front desk "You MUST clean up after your pet. We take this very seriously!" Then I walked out the back door where there is a small landing strip of grass covered in dog turds. Next time, I am passing this HI Express on I-30 in Arkansas.

Variety of eggs. Parking was fine. Staff was friendly and the room was clean. Overall it was a good stay except for the breakfast.

If you are in a pinch and have pets, this option works. However, our room was musty and smelled moldy.

While convenient for our needs, this hotel review is a bit mixed. First the bad : the room smelled incredibly musty and didn’t improve while running a/c. Mold in the bathroom growing on the wall. Pools of water all around perimeter wall and water dripping from exterior pipes. I can’t stress the awful smell enough. Now the good : staff was friendly, breakfast was good and convenient to highway and shopping. Also the bed was quite stiff which some may like and some may not.

Convenient to Hope and Bill Clinton childhood home. First room we were given smelled bad. We asked and were assigned another room, which was better but not free of some odor. I think this hotel should replace carpet with a hard surface as many hotels are doing.

Strong mildew smell that comes through the hvac units in the room. The hallway smells like it too. The air smells dirty and thick. Staff were friendly, everything was clean.

Our room was clean but it smelled bad inside. Front desk said it had just been cleaned and wouldn’t do anything about the smell so we had to go to Walmart and buy our own spray to make our room bearable. Our deadbolt didn’t work on the door so we had to rely on the other lock only. Our tv remote didn’t work and had to have it replaced 3 times before they said there was nothing they could do about it so we ended up going to Walmart and buying a universal remote just so we could watch tv. I’d find somewhere else to stay

Booked without looking at reviews because typically Holiday Inns are pretty decent. Arrived late in the evening- the minute we walked into the room was blasted in the face by the smell of mold mildew. Given that it was late and there aren't many other options in town I figured I'd try to tough it out. Laid down and the bed and the pillows smelled like someone had slept on them several nights and not washed (fairly certain none of the linens on my bed had been changed). My travel partner traded beds with me but thirty minutes into the evening it was clear the mold smell was just too overpowering for me to fall asleep. We booked a different hotel and left. And of course, because we book through expedia, no refund.

Two years ago I stayed at the nearby Hampton. This time I decided to stay at the Holiday Inn Express, largely because it was a bit cheaper, and had free breakfast included. It was a mistake. I don't want to rip on the hotel per se, but in truth I knew as soon as I entered it wasn't going to be a great time. The entire hotel smelled of moisture -- dampness -- and being a person with allergies, I knew it would be rough. There was so much moisture in the air that the bedding in the room was lightly damp and the hard surfaces were sticky with moisture. I turned on the air conditioner and turned it down low so it would run for a long time with the hope that it would dry out the room, but it didn't. The room was generally nice and clean, but the moisture made it an uncomfortable experience. Breakfast the next morning wasn't much better. We came down an hour before breakfast closed, and many items were already gone. I got some coffee, and it tasted awful, so I got hot chocolate, and it also tasted awful. I got a bowl of cereal and a small milk, but when I poured the milk on my cereal, it was coagulated and did not resemble milk in any way. I ended up having only a small spoonful of eggs and a small yogurt. Next time I make the trip, I'm going back to the Hampton. The workers were nice though, and I appreciated that.

Room was great, toiletries in the bathroom. Room was clean. Hotel was quiet and bed was comfortable. Would stay here again.

Everyone was friendly. And the hotel was clean and quiet.

When we checked in after a 12-hour drive, I found a cookie too stale to eat and coffee in a carafe that needed to be microwaved. The heating unit vibrated loudly whenever it was on, and we could hear trucks as if they were in the room. The hotel was very clean. The woman taking care of the breakfast area was an exceptionally hard worker. The women at the front desk were very nice.

It was a nice place, could have been cleaner but most can. The only issue I had was I like a dark room and the hall light shined thru the door all the way around and lit up the room. I got zero sleep.

We got to the hotel about an hour earlier than when we could check in. I decided to stop in and see if our room was ready and we could check in early. I was told that the room was not clean yet. This is at 2 PM. OK so we went and found some thing else to do for another hour. After we got checked in, we were kind of confused because the pull out bed had no sheets, no blankets, no pillows. No, we’re in the room were sheets, blankets or pillows for this particular bed. I had two granddaughters with me and a grandson. The grandson was going to sleep on the pull out sofa. Anyhow, we decided to just relax for a little bit. The kids went to the pool and I just unpacked. I noticed in the bathroom that there was water damage on, the corner of a wall next to the bathtub. I chose to ignore it. About this time doors up and down the hall started slamming one right after another and it continued all night. Between doors slamming, and a dog barking. This was the most uncomfortable stay in a hotel that I have experienced in a long time.

We were displaced because of a severe power outages in Shreveport, LA. They were sold out. Each and every staff member was kind, courteous and helpful. I loved staying here. Breakfast was delicious each morning. They could not have been more helpful and professional.

Bed was comfortable and room was clean. When I arrived, my refrigerator was not working...and they exchanged it with a new one within 30 mins. Great service, friendly staff.

The woman at the front desk when we checked in at close to midnight was lovely. She even upgraded our room free of charge, because she knew we were traveling with a toddler & that allowed us to use the pull out couch for one of our other kids so the toddler could sleep in bed with one of us parents.

The staff was very helpful as one of our kids got sick during the night and they provided me with extra supplies to assist with the situation.

In Hope, there aren't a lot of choices. I've stayed here twice on my to and from Texas. The room was clean the the breakfast was fine. The room seemed damp and cold like it could use an industrial dehumidifier. No odors or anything but the room was cold and clammy

The hotel is very convenient off of I30, and is clean and comfortable with friendly staff and a good breakfast.

Nice hotel. The staff were friendly and the hotel was clean. They offer free continental breakfast with the basics. It’s close to dining and shopping. I’d definitely stay again.

Had a variety of food for breakfast. One morning the hotel offered scrambled eggs, biscuits with gravy, potatoes,turkey sausage patties, cereal, oatmeal and bacon. Had option for pancakes, cinnamon rolls, toast or bagels. The 2nd morning they had omelets with sausage and potatoes, biscuits and gravy, cereal, oat meal, pancakes, cinnamon rolls, toast and bagels.
