Super 8 by Wyndham Cottonwood

The pool and hot tub were both down, 2 lamps in our room didn’t work and our bathtub didn’t have a bathtub stopper

It was ok other then i made the reservation because rhey had a pool and it was closed my whole stay

When we got there the pool and hot tub had water in it, but we’re not working. We did not stay there, because that was what we selected as for filters (pool/hot tub) on our search for hotels, and that’s what was advertised. We didn’t check-in and was told we needed to speak with Expedia for a refund. We drove all the way back to Phoenix in the dark.

I booked these rooms because they had a hot tub and a pool when we got there the hot tub and pool was closed very disappointing don't know how you would make that known when registering online.

Serviceable hotel with few amenities or daily room cleaning.

Stayed 4 days, room was never serviced , had to get towels from desk clerk.

The only complaint I have is that they advertise a breakfast, all they had to offer is coffee and a bowl of oatmeal. That is not a breakfast. This is one of the reasons I booked this hotel. Also there pool was empty being worked on.

the only thing that I to say is that the floor make a noise when we walked near to the bathroom and feels like the wood under the carpet were broken

Not luxurious but you get what you pay for. Room was clean, plenty of towels. Hotel us close to restaurants, shopping and coffee. Pool is small and a little dirty.

When I opened the door there was leaves and debri that had been blown in . The shower head didn’t work properly and it dripped and didn’t stop when turning off shower . Walls are thin you can hear what’s going on in the next room . The outlets wouldn’t hold my plug ins for my phone. I had reserved and paid for two days and when I came back from my activities they had not cleaned my room. There was a cockroach on carpet and place was over all filthy. I will not stay here again .

A large desk, while convenient, had a recessed electrical plug-in that was full of dust, dirt, crumbs, etc. Also, a large mirror needed to be cleaned. Showed streaks of dried dirty water. Wished I had photos to show.

This hotel was horrible. There are bed bugs and the hotel staff is very rude. I would never stay at this motel again. If you’re traveling across country to see you family in this area, they aren’t even allowed to visit you on the property without being harassed and followed by Linda at the front desk. We have a 1 hour long video of her stalking/harassing our adult child and grandchild as we sat outside eating pizza at the food common area. Then when confronted about the bed bugs and trying to checkout to go to another hotel, she refused to check us out. Stupidly, we paid 5 months in advance for a full week.

Carpet was filthy

The property was decent, given the level that it is. Apparently, I’m a bit out of touch concerning current hotel rates and, not long ago, I would have thought the rooms we booked would have been about 40 percent lower than what we paid. When I quoted decent as the quality of the rooms, I was purely referring to the cleanliness of the rooms. The overall quality of the fixtures and amenities, (i.e. the mini fridge, the small microwave, the TV and the bathroom fixtures were very basic and at a level that I would expect to be consistent with a lower priced hotel. Overall, it was clean but nothing fancy.

When we got into the room every single light was unplugged so groping around in the dark trying to plug in lamps. Then the tub wasn’t cleaned good because my wife took a shower & cut her foot on something that wasn’t cleaned out of shower. Whatever it was it washed down the shower drain but maids should have cleaned better. Her food bled for an hour. She was pissed off enough that she wanted to sue them but instead I’m giving a very poor review. With a huge price tag on the room it should have been cleaned better & all the lights should have been plugged in.

This place is a dive. My room was dirty and old. Their swimming pool is a pond out front and there is no continental breakfast anything. Don't plan on recharging your cellphones because wall plug-ins are all loose (fire hazard comes to mind). The motel is on Main Street - a street local boys with loud toys race up and down all night - so bring ear plugs if you do stay there.

Walls are a little thin ,neighbors next door snoring 💤

The room was extremely uncomfortable due to the air conditioning system not working properly. It said it was 60 degrees and it was actually about 85 the whole time. Then the electricity went out and we had a wedding to prepare for. I will say the lady that works at the front desk was nice and friendly.

Shower didn’t work… thought they would give me some sort of compensation, but No. Switch on bedside lamp was also broke & chairs were so worn out & dirty that I didn’t want to sit on either one.

It was available on busy Mother's Day weekend. The walls were paper this and neighboring room had tv on all night long. I don't recommend this to anyone on a romantic get away--you can hear everything going on in the room next door.

The shower

The sink was cracked, random screw in the wall and paint was coming off, nice bed super comfortable but couldn’t sign in to WiFi

The front desk staff was nice. The hotel room was just a room. It was pretty shabby, clean, but the shabbiness made it feel kinda gross, I didn’t even want to sleep under the covers, they kinda smelled weird. The shower pressure was horrible and made showering very unpleasant. The walls were pretty thin as you could hear your neighbors. There was air conditioning in the room, a mini fridge and a microwave, so that was great, although I didn’t use the microwave. I wish I could say you get what you pay for, but the room was way overpriced. It should have been abt $50 a night.

Upon check in, there was a sign that stated "Back in 2 minutes", we waited nearly 10 minutes for someone to check us in. When I asked questions about the property, the employee at the desk, was a little rude....Our experience there was anything but great....people outside our room every night, late, partying and smoking cigarettes that was permeating our room due to the vents....on the last night there, the room next to us, 218, they entered their room late and someone tried to unlock the adjoining doors between the two rooms....apparently it was children and it was not fun....Did not appreciate that....not sure what you can do...I did report all the activity, but staff did not seem to care....when I asked for a receipt at checkout, I was looked at as if I was a nut job...don't appreciate that either.

Had the worst experience here. The lady at the front desk is rude and to be honest management also makes it very impossible for her to do her job appropriately. Paid 346. For 1 night through expedia, super 8 made me do all the pre check in information through a text and type in so much information with my ID and credit card so if I messed up the room it would charge my card. I purchased the room for a friend and changed guest info to his name. They would not allow them to check In due to needing to pay 100 Deposit hold on the credit card. However the credit card needed to be present she wouldn’t take it over the phone. They then sent me through a loop hole email that i had to screen shot and try and edit where it was asking numerous questions. On a phone… also had to send my ID again and my credit card front and back after I did all of this PRE CHECK IN She then charged my card 2 times that came out to 276 plus the 345 for 1 Night making my grand total 622 charged to my card. While I was on the phone with the lady she then blamed The computer charging me twice. This was the worst as I was not present at check in and still 5 hours away. I still haven’t gotten a call from the manger not even a courtesy for their behavior. Also this was going on at 10pm at night

I am here on an extended stay because my mother is in ICU at local hospital. The staff and owner have been very accommodating. The rooms are clean and fully stocked.have been very accommodating

The Women at the front desk seem to hate people. We did not have toiletries. The fridge was broke. The lobby has the worst smell. We will never stay there again. Not worth the price at all

Everything in this place was overused, from the coffee maker to towels, carpet, lights, chairs, table, blankets, and sheets. We were driving to Sedona and were very tired, and it was late at night, so we didn't have any other choice. Most of the hotels were booked or overpriced, so we decided to stay at Super 8. I liked the neighborhood.

It was very noisy, you could hear the next door guest very clearly. Could not sleep at night due to noise. Breakfast was advertised as part of the booking - NO BREAKFAST!!!! VERY BAD EXPEIENCE.

The staff were professional and friendly. I think the rate should have been less. Breakfast was only coffee and packaged oatmeal. The chairs should have been cleaned; as they were dirty; put towels on them to sit. Had CC issue; took 5 days to resolve. Would recommend paying for room at check in. I would give them 3 stars.

The breakfast was terrible. Only oatmeal with hot water and all coffee was empty by 8a.m. Don’t even have a breakfast then. If all you have to do is keep the coffee full then do the job. Ever since super 8 has been selling franchises they have been terrible

Super 8 in Cottonwood was very clean & well stocked with everything we needed. Nice pool & hot tub. Great outdoor seating with tables you could eat your meal at. Breakfast was good with many options & lots of coffee.

For what we paid it was sad that the only thing they offered for breakfast was oatneal packets. Got charged a lot for a noisy unconfirmed night. Mt family was very disappointed.

The internet said that breakfast was included, but there was no breakfast offered. Felt like that was false advertising. Room was ok.
